2941  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin see $299 or below by 10/31/14? on: October 04, 2014, 03:40:56 PM
We will see < $240 end of next week.

So a universal bearish opinion. The crowd is always right after all.
2942  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 04, 2014, 02:51:26 PM
So cheap coins are now or should I wait for even cheaper prices?

Why would these dumpers stop here? They will go on till Bitcoin is completely worthless.
I don't have a problem with cheap coins.

PS: The multi month downtrend isn't manipulated/manufactured, it's because there isn't enough buying to counteract the supply.

How do you know Blitz?
I can't prove it (how could you even rely on the phony exchange's data we have?), but it's my strong suspicion as someone who's seen it before in this asset. Bubble pops, money slowly leaves, miner profit margins (at record highs in winter due to the switch to ASIC tech) shrink compelling them to hoard less of the mined coins. It's natural bubble deflation.

No manipulator can control the prices over such long peridos without incurring losses. If you think that, then you basically ascribe him a deity status.

You guys are just looking for someone to blame. But it is nothing special.

Central banks can incur losses.. Smiley

You guys do realize the price can't keep dropping forever right? ...  Roll Eyes

BTC is oversold right now.

Hey you didn't read the script. The price has always been falling. It will always be falling. The price will fall forever, remember? You do remember don't you? DONT YOU!?

Agreed.

Not really a surprise given you are short Wink

Lets see if the april low holds. If that doesn't then we will flash down potentially on an elevator to hell.
2948  Economy / Speculation / Re: Falllling is right again, Bitcoin will continue the downtrend on: October 04, 2014, 01:00:30 PM
<troll crap>

I see you used the word measly from one of my previous posts. I suppose I should be flattered.
2949  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 04, 2014, 12:54:55 PM
Well i think we are in some kind of pyramid.
...
We can only stop this by not selling shit. So people that are under us will not sell etc etc.

Absolutely.  No one sells, supply approaches 0.  Price skyrockets.
We've been over this.
Let's do it already!

The question is how much money do those dumpers have left?
I mean those that started this whole dump at $400.

They have lots of money on exchange now. They are likely buying off exchange like crazy and then simply need to buy back to drive the price upwards at a suitably engineered bottom. But how low?
2950  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 04, 2014, 12:39:10 PM
it is so fantastic that i have never got any comments on my last (bigger) posts

it looks like nobody care , nobody says that it is bullshit what i say or anything else

You sold. You now have no effect on the market. Enjoy watching the show.
2951  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 04, 2014, 12:26:50 PM
Hmm... I doubt that early adopters are selling at the moment (why would they anyway)? If it was so this chart would definitely be different.
https://blockchain.info/charts/bitcoin-days-destroyed

On the other hand an interesting thing to do is observe the hashrate chart during the time of the last "dump".
https://blockchain.info/charts/hash-rate

Interesting stuff. Maybe a great pool is "helping" to make this happen?

maybe BFL is cashing out to pay lawyer

Yeah, that too. Everything is possible. The thing is it's NOT old coins. None of the old chaps is selling right now.

And all the money from the thousands of coins being sold is sat on exchanges waiting for the market to turn. So many shorts to burn when the big players buy back in.
2952  Economy / Speculation / Re: Daily reminder if you held the bag, you are a fool and will be a loser in life. on: October 04, 2014, 12:25:27 PM
Smart talk won't make you gain more money. Still holding that bag of rotten shit? Just be careful, it will burn your hands soon. So much unrealised profits. Better not tell your friends and family about your financial mistakes.

Better not tell yours about your "personality mistake".

I'm still right about falling predictions, I made money by shorting, you lost it all by being a dumb holder. Enjoy your failed life!

You are so frenetic and emotional it is almost funny. If you are like XiaoXiao then you are probably shorting with peanuts yet posting all over the forum like you are Gordon Gekko. Playing with leverage won't end well for you I suspect.
2953  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why didn't you just listen to igorr, falling, Sevvero? Would have MADE money. on: October 04, 2014, 12:21:59 PM
Lol. This thread = bottom. Its the exact inverse of the CCMF threads during the run up.

Hilarious reading while having a spot of lunch.
2954  Economy / Speculation / Re: Troll theory on: October 04, 2014, 12:17:47 PM
Thoughtful post Oda.

But I don't see many bulls voicing that opinion left on the forum either. In fact this downtrend has be dragging on for months and this forum has been an absolute bear fest.

I would probably suggest bringing back newbie jail or suggesting more vigilant moderation if I thought it would achieve anything :p

Thanks.

Point is, I even understand why the "crypto enthusiasts slash bulls" would react like that. This is "their" place. One of the few locations where they are among themselves. Since I'm an enthusiast myself, I can understand it - if almost everyone in the outside world tells you how dumb it is to put money into crypto, it's nice to finally have a place where you are among likeminded.

But the problem is of course that you then get to cases like TERA, or JorgeStolfi, who are *anything* but trolls (in a meaningful sense), just smart, opinionated people with a dissenting view (TERA on the market direction, Jorge on the long-term success likelihood of Bitcoin in general).

So here's the dilemma:

If you take offense at those positions (and people still do - go to the wall thread... if you quote Jorge, people will ask you to "not quote the troll") to the point where you prefer to mute them out, you're reducing signal/noise, because what you're left with are the real trolls and their incoherent posts.

If, on the other hand, you are more inviting to those dissenting opinions, this place will more resemble the "outside" world, where a large number of people are very skeptical if Bitcoin has a real chance of success.

So, like I said, I get why this dilemma exists. No matter how the most enthusiastic, optimistic posters in here react, it's going to have consequences they probably wouldn't like.

True it is a dilemma and not easily solved because a forum like bitcointalk will always attract in the main bitcoin supportive users.

That said, as your picture shows what is currently across the forum frontpage are numerous troll doommongering bear threads that are devoid of any meaningful analysis whatsoever. I don't think that in anyway represents what the outside world think about bitcoin.

Overall I agree this forum has completely lost any sense of balanced reasoned analysis. I wasn't here in 2011 but I am curious whether a similar effect was observed then.

2956  Economy / Speculation / Re: Xiaoxiao's trading/forecast blog on: October 04, 2014, 11:58:56 AM
dude you bought at 1k plus and now you're thinking about selling.  just stop being a sore loser.  sell or wait 10 years.  and you might make a profit.  but just stop being a loser, please.

It is hard to not reach for the ignore button. Lets assess the facts. Review my post history. It all says the same thing that I bought the majority of my coins in the march-april run up last year. A single honest narrative. Would I like the price to be zooming into the stratosphere, sure. But you know what I will continue to accumulate and buy where I see value which is now.

Lets assess XiaoXiao.

1) Chance to become rich simply by holding a few dollars worth of btc in 2011 and being on this forum - tick.
2) Did he become rich? Er..No.
3) Offering trading advice loudly and vocally all over the forum as if he is a superstar trader/speculator - tick.
4) Actually has his money where his mouth is and is trading with large meaningful sums? Er..No. Actually trading with 4 btc (lol).

Ok. Now you are on ignore. Enjoy the final word.

2957  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 04, 2014, 11:51:56 AM
If you still think people telling others to get out are just trolls, RIP.

I think you are short and talking your book. Poor taste linking death to price moves to honest matey.
2958  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 04, 2014, 11:45:19 AM
Finally we may get the flash down.
2959  Economy / Speculation / Re: Xiaoxiao's trading/forecast blog on: October 04, 2014, 11:39:05 AM
next phase of down swing ---- 220-350.

current trades... shorting 4 btc's @ 375...

All that forum noise for a measly 4 btc's? You have been around since 2011 and should be a rich early adopter. Instead you are advising others how to trade when you are playing with peanuts. I've bought more than that today lol.

1) you're a dumbass

2) keep feeding sellers money, until you lose 4x what you bought... and then 2 years later maybe there will be a min comeback and you break even

Haha. You were around in 2011.

1) Why are you not rich?

2) Why should anyone listen to the trading advice of someone who failed to capitalise on one of the greatest bull run accumulations in history?

3) If you are actually any good at trading (the previous two questions allude that you aren't) you would be throwing more than just over a thousand dollars around. 4 btc's? You have to be kidding. Bitcoin makes up 10% of my portfolio, if it goes to zero i will shrug. But even I make you look like a tiny goldfish. Amazing really.

like i said

1) you're a dumbass

2) your portfolio is probably worth as much as your moms left nut and going down fast.

3) gtfo of my blog you troll

Something has you angry. Reality check: when i say portfolio i don't mean the folder you use to hold your payslips. The truth hurts haha. Now swim away little goldfish and stop telling others what to do.

You were told numerous times to sell and short.

You didn't listen.

Apart from being a conceited prick, it sounds like you think this market is about 9 months old.

Go and read some of the posting histories on this forum of people who sold out on historical Bitcoin declines and you'll soon see who's the "clown".

Past performance does not guarantee future results.

Bitcoin is worst investment of 2014, can't argue with that.

You are fool money, a joke of friends and family. Wife will leave you, while those who shorted will splash you with mud while driving their Lamborghini, because they are smarter and better people than you, pathetic peasant.

You say past performance does not guarantee future results. It sounds like you are justifying shorting the market now based on past performance guaranteeing er..future results.

There are quite a few Lamborghini drivers in the world mate. But you aren't one of them.
