Why does he continue to work full-time on the project?
WHY is he still working full time developing the coin?

I was necessarily promoting to buy gold or anything. I was just saying based on the past history, any legit form of currency is backed by gold or silver. When the fiat system collapses, you need some kind of ratio to judge how much something is worth.. I think it will be gold
I think bitcoin is the new benchmark. You cannot have a commodity basket because they are all manipulated, to my knowledge bitcoin has small manipulation and decreasing volatility. Despite scammers, looks like the gold certificate scam is far bigger than any crypto scam can imagine to be. gold certificates is scammy too..if people are to invest in gold they should hold it themselves. and another problem with holding gold is where do you verify its purity?..cryptos have the internet (network), instantly you know your 1 XMR is legit.

gold is not peasant friendly, cryptocoins is peasant friendly and globally ready through the internet the world runs on the back of peasants..that's why i think cryptocoins will take its rightful place and make a lot of people here rich edit: mike maloney said at https://youtu.be/EdSq5H7awi8?t=1414 that he want to make sure middle class and small investors to get the "cookie" too (gold)..."because they make society run".---->yeah peasants I was necessarily promoting to buy gold or anything. Has anyone been successful in GPU and CPU mining at the same time? If I start 2 instances of eth miner, the CPU one crashes while GPU one works fine. I use coinotron for pool mining.
when i run my cpu to mine, my gpu hash rate is decreased by about ~10% not worth it to let my cpu mine..anyway it was only an old core2duo intel cpu, win7 64bit.. this might help someone here...when i use only 2gb of ddr2 RAM my GPU's can't mine...at 3gb and 4gb my GPU's can mine.

edit: hardware RAID is more reliable, has better performance..that's what sticked in my mind (based from what i've read back then)
To repeat what I wrote in my prior post, that is likely because RAID 5 and other levels that require extensive computation for the parity bit benefit from an additional hardware ASIC that is optimized for that specific computation. But it appears for RAID 1 that there is no such onerous computation, as the OS is simply writing two copies to two disks. Hardware controllers at another ~3% annual risk of failure to the existing ~1.5% annualized risk that an SSD will die. Also hardware controllers are proprietary and add another layer of issues to sort out. this is an example scenario of what i'm saying that might be the right setup for you. http://www.ahfx.net/weblog/182RAID 5 has known issues that I think don't apply to RAID 1: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RAID#Standard_levelsUpon failure of a single drive, subsequent reads can be calculated from the distributed parity such that no data is lost. RAID 5 requires at least three disks.[11] RAID 5 is seriously affected by the general trends regarding array rebuild time and the chance of drive failure during rebuild.[22] Rebuilding an array requires reading all data from all disks, opening a chance for a second drive failure and the loss of entire array. In August 2012, Dell posted an advisory against the use of RAID 5 in any configuration on Dell EqualLogic arrays and RAID 50 with "Class 2 7200 RPM drives of 1 TB and higher capacity" for business-critical data.[23] yeah. RAID 1 is simple, and the more simple the mechanism the more reliable it is.. - hot swappable + redundant power supply + redundant server + UPS (can be redundant too) = no downtime. and...standby generator and backup internet link

i read about RAID back then..
SSD's killed RAID for performance.
RAID config used for redundancy is still very much alive so the computer have backups and with SDD's that can be hot swapped when a drive fails will help uptime since the computer don't need to be off to remove and replace the defective drive.

having hard time connecting to peers here...any add nodes to mist wallet?
Hey, will you post the link to the Mist wallet so I don't have to do a comprehensive search...I must be tired because my compulsory search couldn't find it. That happens to me sometimes when I get stuck in cyber space for prolonged periods....things are developing so quickly in crypto-world I'm afraid to shut down....think I'm developing some sort of psychological illness from the amount of time I spend submerged within this space. FOMO for sure! https://github.com/ethereum/mist/releases/tag/0.3.5somebody should be in charge with the OP where information is available, problem is.. it is vitalik's btctalk account OP and for sure he is super busy.

i have an idea for the name of your crypto coin UNITS unit 1 centi unit 0.01 or simply "cents" milli unit 0.001 or simply "millis" micro unit 0.000001 or simply "micros" nano unit 0.000000001 or simply "nanos" thousand units 1000 million units 1,000,000 majority are familiar with the word "unit" just like "bit" and "coin", and i think that helped in bitcoin's cool name. simplicity and familiarity

Privacy
Buterin pointed out privacy is the another major factor which makes the blockchain unsatisfactory for at least some use cases. He said: "You know companies are all interested in blockchains, they love blockchains – it's the new buzzword, it's the future.
"But wait ... You are saying we have to publish every single one of our transactions to a public database that can be read by our competitors? The question is how can you have the benefits of the transparency of the blockchain without compromising your privacy?
"There is a wonderful area of cryptography called zero knowledge proofs that is somehow magically using a bunch of algorithms involving mathematical transforms on binary circuits to do exactly that." “But wait ... You are saying we have to publish every single one of our transactions to a public database that can be read by our competitors?” - Vitalik Buterin
Buterin mentioned a project called Zerocash in this regard, which puts zero-knowledge Succinct Non-interactive ARguments of Knowledge (zk-SNARK) into a bitcoin-like cryptocurrency. Zerocash creates a separate anonymous currency, existing alongside a (non-anonymous) base currency. Each user can convert (non-anonymous) basecoins into (anonymous) Zerocash coins.
He continued: "There are also many other applications of privacy ranging from things like proving that you are a reliable trustworthy person by some kind of reputation metric, or identity registry system, without actually revealing what your specific name is. Figuring out how to integrate that into Ethereum is one of our primary focuses."
The move to proof of stake via the Casper algorithm and upgrading the Ethereum virtual machine (EVM) are also high on the agenda and the subject of many of this week's talks, said Buterin.
"Initially I thought that Ethereum was a thing that would be used for people to write simple financial scripts. As it turns out people are writing stuff like Augur on top of it. So figuring out how to make the virtual machine really work is another topic we will be discussing this week." is there a way that Ethereum can and will compete with privacy / anonymous coins like darkcoin/DASH and XMR

any businesses here in the Philippines that accepts bitcoin? any inputs? insights?
what platforms/exchanges offers merchant services? (i'm thinking coins.ph)
I maybe able to help integrate BTC payments to a hotel here in my city.
rebit is also an exchange site operating in Philippines. I heard there's a coffee shop in Makati that accepts Bitcoins as payments cashcashpinoy used to accept Bitcoins, but when I checked last week, pay option was removed seen it before.. looks like coins.ph can deliver ( https://coins.ph/merchants ) any businesses here using it? I've used coins.ph personally to convert btc to cash and it is good... just trying to have feedback here before trying it out
