Luckily i notice some nice volume pickup on c-cex, but still only a few coins are for sale on c-cex and results in big gaps and result in big whales staying away from Ethancoin. Big whales are not interested in only buying 1M coin when there are 68M available, so they skip Ethan, if the number of coins for sale can be increased to 30M coins or so, with reasonable prices then volume should spike. We are currently exploring some more options to make Ethancoin more interested for investors. our developer is currently testing a staking Android wallet for our coin (alpha), as far as i know his work flow (given the fact he is having vacations this week), I would estimate, that we will be releasing it in two/three weeks. Nobody is selling nor buying... I would have except with the ann of the anon chat etc that we would have some nice buying pressure, ok there was a volume of 0.30 BTC and now we are back to almost no volume, either people don't want to buy at ASK because they believe it is too expensive. and people don't want to sell any coins as they see this nice strong buy wall. Wondering what needs to be done to get Ethancoin moving, i believe that all people that want to get out are already out, else they will destroy that 1 BTC buy order, and that is not happening, so we most trust the marketing compain to attract new investors, but then again, they cannot buy a lot of coins as only 3M are for sell, so only 5% of all coins are available for sell. This will not attract big investors, as they want to buy a lot of coins and then move to the coin to the moon. I believe we need a bigger exchange as bigger exchange means bigger trading volume, people trust bigger exchange, they don't want to put a lot of money in a smaller exchange because of several reasons.
Yes i fully agree! Today i will rework and clean up the OP of this thread and send the last few press releases to the rest of list. The next task for me is to consult every exchange i can (beginning with the big ones) , to get our coin listed. I also like to involve YOU, our community and suggest some actions that would help a lot: - if you have any connection to coinbloggers or news sites send them this: Ethancoin Press Information
- suggest exchanges to me, you would like to see. I will favor those, when consulting exchanges for Ethan
- reconsider providing a link to our Ethan Coin thread in your profile signature
- given, the crypto community gets to know, that we are moving: This is not enough! Show them, that we have a community, we can count on and that the mood changed in this community
The last point, is in my opinion, the most important one, to restore the trust of potential investors.
some personal thoughts:I answered to the marketing manager request, because i found the offer very honest and that touched me. Now, after one week of working with the team and enjoying the challenge, i can identify myself with that coin, our coin. My part of the premine is not worth a dime yet. We are considering to buyback up to 10,000,000 Ethancoins and destroy those coins to reduce the number of coins available on the market. What do you think, will this help to improve the coin price and trading activity?
I can say, doesn't matter. You can see Syscoin, with 365,154,717 coins @ 450 sat comparing to Ethan with 67,509,549 coins @ 10 sat. What is the different? Marketing, features of the coin and it's communication. Btw. Bittrex can list Ethan for 5 BTC immediately, I have read yesterday in an other coin topic. Would be good this action for Ethan? I don't think so. I fully agree with you, marketing is key and we don't have to pay for bittrex. (btw the guy in the thread was partly correct: The price is 3BTC including the display in the "featured area" |

USE was added on Bittrex, it is all based on volume guys. Wondering in total there are 68M coins, but only 5M coins are available for trading, where are all those other coins? Or people just holding it in their wallets? Is c-cex not a safe exchange? There is still a nice buy support, but when nothing is being bought (because nobody is selling) we will never move in the right direction. Please create some market here, put your coins for sale.
could have been right in general, but i would like to wait, what Bittrex and our currently sent press releases will do to the price. Its not that we wish to be on Bittrex into the blue sky. We are having ongoing negotiations with them. The new wallet is published less than two days ago and we should give it some time, wile we are working on our marketing efforts. Selling should really the very last option. We are on the right way and we will keep going forward. I am going through any aspect of our marketing tube and you can see (hopefully) changes, i make, on a daily base. There is still plenty of work for me, but I know what i am doing. No need for impulsive tasks |

So to summarise: some may be right some may be wrong but at the currend price we should hold on a wile and stop killing the thread. In fact most of us DON'T know who the dev is, he did not login about two days, wich does not mean the end of all. I suppose anyone should now know wich risk he is taking and can decide himself. I see that all who warned here did that out of the desire to help. But at the currend price it does the opposite to those who are still in. There are things to learn from that and it may be a good concideration to restrict coinlaunches to Member accounts only. But all in all lets get back to more helpfull communication. If everything fails I would guess this coin would have potential for a nice takeover doesn't it :-)
