2941  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Caleb Plant on: November 01, 2021, 10:30:48 PM
Age is not a problem because Plant is 29 years old and Canelo is 31, there's not much of an age gap and I'm pretty sure Canelo is still young and he is in his prime now. We will certainly see a great fight but on the side of the gamblers, it will be harder to find a good odds since Canelo is a heavy favorite.

That is the age of boxers where a boxer is at its prime, there is no age factor to consider, we can only consider skills punches and of course motivation, they both have a big motivation to win and they are both hungry to win if the fights turn out to be excited like a draw or Canelo get upset there's a possibility of a rematch or even a trilogy, fans are still yearning for GGG - Canelo, but this also has the making of a trilogy depending on the outcome of the fight, we all love rematch and trilogy because it's the continuation of the excitement brought by two boxers.

That's right. Age is somehow just a big deal if we are talking about a boxer on 40+. But for 29 and 31, it's still on their prime, or should I say, post-prime and 4-5 years later on, can now be called a veteran boxer.

For the names like Canelo Alvarez, Caleb Plant, Golovkin, etc. age should be removed as part of the analysis. Better refer to their previous fight as your references.
2942  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Terence Crawford vs Shawn Porter - Nov. 20 on: November 01, 2021, 10:27:58 PM
I would really like to see that fight, is it possible for it to happen?

For now, no. Manny Pacquiao is busy with a lot of things. Lots of distractions now. Not closing the book as we know Pacquiao, he can change his mind anytime. If he will lose in the upcoming election for the Presidency of the PH republic next year, I'm 80% sure he will come back from retirement for the simple reason that, he just wants to come back.

By any chance, if this fight between Crawford and Porter will be an upset, it is very nice odds as betting on Porter will give you about 4.75x of your bet.

Actually, this was the first time I think a boxer with an odds of 4.75 can make an upset to the heavy favorites. Shawn Porter is not a considered underdog for me. If you want to risk one on his provided decent odds, it's worth trying.
2943  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: November 01, 2021, 10:23:09 PM
With the pandemic happening for over a year, going back to good and high numbers of the audience is not possible yet.

I think it's only a problem in the Philippines, but in the US they are already allowed to go to mass gatherings due to their high vaccination rate and people are not afraid anymore of the virus. So this fight could still make money from the audience but let us not expect too much as the pot on this fight is very small, which makes me think that it's not a popular fight.

But if I'm not mistaken, the United States is not an option for the venue. In some shared articles here on the thread, it's between Dubai or the United Kingdom. I don't know the status of the pandemic situation in Dubai and the UK but as we know. If only it will be on 100% the United States, there should be no problem about hyping the fight as no doubt they have better audiences even for a certain fight that is not popular.
2944  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: November 01, 2021, 10:16:50 PM
Exhibition fights like this it seems that only money is the main reason for holding the fight, even though tyson is a former world boxer but honestly i don't see there will be a fierce fight later, especially tyson facing two cyber celebrities (jake and paul logan) who don't even have careers Professionals in the world of boxing, I think Jake Paul and Logan Paul have always used boxing as a place for entertainment and to increase their popularity, so maybe I'll skip the fight and choose to watch another show.

Obviously, that's why it is called an exhibition match in the first place because the purpose is to give entertainment. But since the setup wasn't good, I'm with you skipping on that show since for me, it's totally crap the same when Logan Paul fought Mayweather Jr. before.

I just can't believe that some boxers with a reputation in real boxing are agreeing to take part in the crap exhibition match. A good exhibition is between real and famous boxers and not against a social media influencer that is new to boxing.
2945  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: November 01, 2021, 10:12:33 PM

Just like what I said before, most now think that the Lakers are now finding the rhythm because of winnings. Surely, when they lose again, most people will throw again some criticism to them especially pinpointing to a specific player.

Lakers fans or should I say, Lakers' critics, should not just close the book by watching only a few games. As the Sixer's motto, just "Trust the Process". We can see the real problem after more games in case the Lakers will have a continuous losing streak.

Kudos to some of their veterans that's not expected to play like in their prime but still contributing much to a team.
2946  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Going for the Underdog or Not? on: November 01, 2021, 10:08:08 PM
When placing a bet you go for option that you are sure can get more earning at the end of the game by doing this has to weigh the previous performance of the both options. You don't just bet base on like if you may loose it all.

Then you mean just bet on high odds? Cheesy

In general, it won't work mostly. Most of the time, your analysis will lead you to choose the dominant team. Expect low odds on it.

In the case of OP, it's just a leftover amount so betting it on high odds is worth trying. Even in the event of losing, no hard feelings that the bet is lost. I will do that too since the amount is afford to lose. If win, then it's just a bonus since I'm not expecting to win.
2947  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice against plako or slot on: November 01, 2021, 10:04:44 PM
Community gaming is on the increase and so many players are sometimes stuck with the decision of which game to play, quite a large number go for dice since it is the most popular and luck base but at times we are confronted with making another choice of games to play such as slot or place.

Self-preference.

If you feel like gambling on a certain gambling game, then give it a shot. If you feel you don't want to gamble on it, then just ignore it. Most of the gamblers aren't stuck in a single option whenever they want to play.

Just choose what you think is comfortable for you. It's a wise move compared to jumping to gambling that you don't know after all.
2948  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NO KYC Sportbooks? on: November 01, 2021, 10:02:21 PM
What are some sportbooks that will NEVER ask for KYC
Stake are the best options for me but seriously, there’s no such thing NEVER because those gambling site might require you to fill up KYC especially if your account is suspicious, better to read the Terms of service first so you can be more aware about the rules and prevent any suspicious transactions later on.
Stake is an average bookie and so much slippery, cashout availability problems, etc. I have seen so many cases about the sudden KYC requirement by the Stake team and they refuse to pay if the user doesn't want to pass KYC. So I doubt the OP will be interested to bet on Stake, there are better alternatives if the criteria is KYC-free sports bookies.

The question is not about KYC-free sports bookies but the assurance that sports betting websites will not ask for KYC in the future.

All crypto-bettings sites have a chance to break their terms about no-KYC in the future that's why instead of suggesting to OP some crypto-sites, better give advice that be ready when KYC will be asked.

Even the most popular and reputable sports betting sites can't give an assurance that they will keep their no-KYC policy for long.
2949  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Gambling increase due to the pandemic, stats, UK on: November 01, 2021, 09:57:21 PM
It can not only be used by companies but government itself to provide better laws.

- 63% gamblers noted an increase in time spent gambling.
- 62% said their gambling habit remained the same despite the laws being more losse for some areas
- 12% reported an increase in their gambling habit

In other words, this shows that the European region, especially in the UK, is really a gambling-populated country even prior to the pandemic. Obviously, while everyone is lurking at home, we can notice that gambling activity there will increase its numbers whatever the category.

On the other hand, they also conducted a survey for those people who want to minimize their gambling activity and the results are:

- 43% by casual gamblers
- 57% by regular gamblers

It means that while the world is slowly going back on its business, people also slowly coming back to their main and usual activity that's not limited to gambling mostly.
2950  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: October 29, 2021, 07:39:58 PM

Going back prior to the start of the All-Filipino, Mikey Williams is asking for a much more offer than usual allowed for the rookie. It wasn't approved obviously because it's not allowed. Others here including me questioned that action since why ask for more if there's n any good performance from him yet.

And now, he already proved that he really deserves a high contract compared to usual. I'm expecting TNT will grant it. It's been a while that we see a rookie dominating the league. Hope there's more in the future even youngsters now prefer to play overseas.
2951  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Meme coin craze on: October 29, 2021, 06:56:07 PM
Just know where you put your money not all these meme coins mean business

The same on decentralized swap exchanges before. Honestly, not new to crypto. We have seen that many times. But yes, since there are always new on this game, they might easily be lured on those new projects because of its sounds legit as names are derived from popular ones.

But I trust most newbies today that they won't fall on that simple trick. Yes, there will always be someone that will be lured by it but at least, and I believed, that the whole percentage isn't that high.
2952  Economy / Gambling / Re: Where to report gambling fraud? on: October 29, 2021, 06:50:56 PM
And what is worst is that we have no way to know if what it is being said in those review sites is true as many times there is no evidence offered and many times the gamblers are just complaining about the money they lose and they were not scammed.

In this forum if there is a scam accusation against a casino and you want to obtain the support of the community then evidence must be shown, which is why the forum is so powerful when it comes to those accusations as even if the powers of the DT crowd only operate within the forum, if a person interested in playing in such casino makes their due diligence before gambling there then they will find a link to that accusation on their search results and they can save themselves the trouble of dealing with a casino that likes to scam their customers.
After having the evidence or proof then it must be posted on the scam accusation board which is very suitable to post it there rather than here or in gambling discussion. This forum will help people to know which site should be avoided and which site is trusted. This already happened many times and many accounts representing the site have negative trust or flag just like 1xbit.

As far as generic reviews are concerned, this forum is a big help. Nothing will beat the real and actual experience that different users will make compared to a review site that in most cases, really need to cover up some sites issues in order to promote them and gather some referrals.

But actually, let's take the example of 1Xbit, they are only tagged as scams and bullsh*t here in this forum. But to most reviews sites, 1Xbit does have a good review. Since not all users are lurking here in the forum, they will encounter good reviews of other sites compared to generic reviews here by the community.

In that situation, users who will encounter the site thru review sites, not just 1Xbit but for others as well, should not just end the research there. They should at least seek for another source then later on decide.
2953  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What do you think about Squid coin? on: October 29, 2021, 06:42:09 PM

Not a fan of any coin or token that was derived from a certain show or personality.

Even trading it by fun can't lure me. And now with that insane 2,400% gain, it's common that others will be on FOMO status. It's not that we have seen this for the first time in the crypto world.

People should already know the drill and at least know what's the best approach in a situation like that.

2954  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Community means everything on: October 29, 2021, 06:38:05 PM
Community means everything in crypto space, there are many people who think that shiba coin won't enter top 10 on coinmarketcap well today we did it, now that we are in bull season I'm sure more surprises is coming, shiba is more than a meme coin do your own research before judging the project, Dogecoin that was loved by the community for few years now got flipped

Still, we can't erase the fact that it was a product of the hype. Having a good community is a good sign but if most people lurking in that community have that mindset of $1 price in the future then that community is non-sense.

Just allow Shiba to progress for more years. That's the only time we can see if this coin is just about pure and speculative hype. But for me, my stand against this coin won't change that it's still a meme coin. Those who are just holding a bit of SHIBU should be aware that your coin can easily be manipulated. No coin can withstand the wrath of that.

Trade at your own risk or rather, hodl at your own risk.
2955  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum is going to reach $5k soon? on: October 29, 2021, 06:28:39 PM

Same as before, no one knows. On the bright side, reaching $5,000 is a realistic price target and there's no way ETH won't reach that. However, the question is when. Since we are all speculating here, we have different views on "when it should happen".

For convenience, let's just create our own analysis and follow what we believe will happen.
2956  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fiat-betting to crypto+betting on: October 29, 2021, 01:35:47 AM
I agree, in many fiat bookies, you'll be required to comply but with crypto casinos, not all of them will force you to do as long as there's no suspicious activity on your account and they don't really ask for it.

KYC is mandated on fiat sportsbooks because those bookies are registered and licensed companies. In case of fraud, users are somehow protected and investigation might result in success because of transaction tracking.

In crypto, it's definitely a great advantage that we don't need to comply with KYC but unfortunately, there's a chance that most crypto gambling sites will now require it as centralization in crypto is now slowly taking place. For now, let's take advantage that we are not in that stage yet. But in case it's now happening, it should be expected.
2957  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: October 29, 2021, 01:26:04 AM
I would laugh if this fight ends with a draw. I remember that during exhibition fight between Mike Tyson vs RJJ, Mike did not really boxes as it was an exhibition. Instead, he tried to knockout RJJ. And was quite angry when they announced a draw. Logan can dodge like RJJ, Mike would land a lot of punches, however, I am sure it will be a draw and lots of $$$ for everyone.

Frankly speaking, I would pray that Mike would KO Logan Paul. KO as hard as he KO'ed people in his prime. So that once and for all Paul brothers understand that boxing is not joking, and boxing against a pro athlete is double or triple dangerous.

That was harsh. But yeah I also partially want that to happen because;

a) Even, of course, the exhibition match was supposed to be for entertainment purposes, it should not just be between a random personality and a real boxer.
b) For Logan Paul to realize that boxing is not a joke
c) For Logan Paul, to now feel the wrath of arranging fight against a legendary boxer
d) For Logan Paul to now switch careers lol. He is just milking people with a money

Unfortunately, looks like Mike Tyson will not do it as he won't be serious about the fight. There's no grudge or hatred to trigger Mike Tyson's ravage.
2958  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Terence Crawford vs Shawn Porter - Nov. 20 on: October 29, 2021, 12:44:16 AM
Maybe pre-injury and pre-Pacquiao lost Thurman is the biggest welterweight. But after the lost to Manny he seems to be settled right now and not looking for a fight. Maybe if Crawford beats Porter here, he might call Thurman out of his 'semi-retirement' and have a fight, who knows.

That will be a good fight as in the first place, Terence Crawford really wants a piece of Keith Thurman. But before anything else, he needs to take the business first with Porter by making sure he will win on that fight which is not an easy job to do as Porter, even an underdog, have the power to take down the undefeated Spence.

Hard for me to choose who will win so can't decide on the poll. Tough against tough. There's no way we can tell who has the advantage regardless of their respective stats and achievement.

2960  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: October 28, 2021, 11:44:07 PM
The problem is their chemistry, and Lebron did not play against the OKC, so they are undermanned also as they missed their best player. What's important now is the Lakers had 2 wins already and at the same time, Westbrook is doing well although he had a high turnover last game, but that's okay, it's still too early, they can make a correction or adjustment so they will not gonna make that mistake again.

Honestly, there's no problem if LeBron James didn't play on that game because they were able to dominate the Thunders by 26 big points. The problem is, they weren't able to maintain that lead. They literally blew up that lead. Although Westbrook's turnovers really contributes to that OKC rally, it's worth noting that other Lakers guys also did the worst performance while OKC is now finally catching up. After leading 56-30 midway through the second quarter, they were outscored 93-59. If we will count Westbrook's turnover there, there's still much left that we can put a blame on others. Here's an article that pointed out every Westbrook turnover and the post result of it on that gameplay:

https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nba/news/russell-westbrook-quadruple-double-lakers-turnovers/tnhwrrqguaj01gcbapkwyyo6t

It's a good read for reference.
