2941  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: Questions about Mycelium accounts on: May 27, 2022, 11:32:43 PM
Yes I have also a PC. I use mycelium because its the only one I tried so far..

Why not start using Electrum for Android phones instead? It's easy to use compared to mycelium the only difference is mycelium supports other altcoins but Electrum only supports Bitcoin.
Since you have a PC then you can choose which one you want to make your cold storage the mobile phone or the PC?

Take note make sure any of these devices should be disconnected or never connect to the internet. Cold storage should not have any connection data to the internet and only a QR code or USB flash drive is your way to transfer raw unsigned/signed transactions.
2942  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin wallet generator and balance checker on: May 27, 2022, 11:04:40 PM
This is not the right place to fool around you maybe try it on another forum.
Based on your image it generates only one address with one seed phrase.
The seed phrase contains a huge amount of public keys and private keys, not just one.
2943  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S9 not hashing after changing control board on: May 27, 2022, 10:48:38 PM
Noted, thanks a ton. As I have already flashed the miner using SD card and then upgraded to latest firmware (got the files directly from Bitmain customer support), here's what I think is the next step I am going to do.
1) Try new PSU.
2) Use Braiins OS next.

I will post my findings soon on the above 2 items.

I suggest you start on flashing or boot it with Braiins OS before you try PSU but there is a big possibility that the replacement control board could defective.

Do you have any extra miners for testing it would be easy to troubleshoot if you have an extra s9 miner?

Or check the test points of your hashboards to make sure your hashboards are fine you can follow this guide below to troubleshoot the hashboards

2944  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Cheetah F1 not hashing after fan failure on: May 27, 2022, 10:42:23 PM
This unit looks like an Aisen A1 miner usually to this unit if it has a bad fan it won't hash so maybe the fan you replace is not compatible.

Would you mind to check the wires of the old fan and maybe the position for signals for both speed and PWM signal is not in the right position. So try to replug the pins in the right position.
Just like on the s9 miner have 4 pins yellow and blue must be in the right position before you plug them into the miner.

the fan are 4 pin

- Black   =  - 12V
- Red     = + 12V
- Yellow =  Signal Speed
- Blue    = Signal PWM
2945  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: anyone make their own USB cables from scratch? on: May 27, 2022, 02:05:07 PM
You can also buy small adapters which connect to regular USB cables and only attach to the power pins, leaving the data pins disconnected - search for USB defender or USB blocker.

sweet. gonna grab me some pronto.

Why not strip the wire instead and cut the two lines the data+(green wire) and the data-(White wire) then two negative(Black) and positive(Red) should remain then use heat shrink to cover it back. If you need the cable for other things to transfer data make sure it's not related to your wallet or any important data then you can strip it again and connect those two cut lines.

Or buy an adapter like this below then put a tape on the two pins in the middle

2946  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Loud fan on R4 on: May 27, 2022, 01:14:10 PM
Any grease spray might be work but I think the bearing should be replaced if grease does not work then your last hope is to replace the bearing the only problem it looks like it's hard to remove the metal under that fan motor. It seems that you need a puller to be able to remove the metal part on the motor.

If you have a motorcycle tool you can may be able to pull that metal part the tool looks like this one below

2947  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: Questions about Mycelium accounts on: May 26, 2022, 11:58:11 PM
If you want to spend your BTC from your paper backup you can use Electrum on your phone but like the above said it's risky if you import a private key into a device that you usually use for online activity.
You need an extra phone or PC if you want to make a safe transaction because one of your devices must be offline and never connect it to the internet and one is a watch-only wallet where you can able to make unsign raw transactions.
2948  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: cold storage on: May 26, 2022, 11:29:01 PM
I think he means on the first question he talking about other wallets?
If I'm right then other wallets like Electrum can be used as a cold storage wallet with no internet or any online connection or without hardware wallets.

If you are going to spend BTC from your cold storage you will need to make a raw transaction from the watch-only wallet you can install Electrum in android and import your master public key or use coinb.in to make a raw transaction then sign it with your cold storage wallet then transfer it back to your watch-only wallet and then broadcast. It's simple as that.
2949  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S9 not hashing after changing control board on: May 26, 2022, 10:57:42 PM
Try to flash your miner with SD card and lets hope that its just a software issue.
You can follow this guide below

Then upgrade your unit with autotune firmware from bitmain.

If the issue the same then I suggest boot your miner with Braiins OS you can check their thread from this link below.
It can bypass the temp issue or ignore that error.

2950  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S9j 0 hashing on: May 26, 2022, 05:13:24 PM
Based on the logs below read temp error it means that your control board can't detect any temp signal from your hashboard.

Code:
Max pcb temp : 0
Read temp failed, set fixed full fan speed
FAN PWM: 100
read_temp_func Done!
CRC error counter=268

One of your hash boards might have a broken temp sensor or ribbon wires that are not plugged properly.

Try to re-plug all of your ribbon wires then check it again through logs or if it's hashing.

If still do not work then you can bypass this issue by flashing your unit with modded firmware like asic.to firmware or Braiins OS.
2951  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum 4.0.9 wont open in Windows 8.1. on: May 26, 2022, 04:50:02 PM

Out of fear that I will mess something up.
Compatability might be an issue too I dont know for sure.

If I knew everything would go fine and be working afterwards
and that I would be able to set up future updates on manual instead auto
I would do it.

The current plan is to get a new laptop get everything working there then upgrade old one.
Which windows should I get the new one with? 11 12? whats the freshest and best now?

It's not a problem if you mess up if you already have a backup seed phrase you can anytime recover your wallet with your seed backup.

But if you have important files that you want to save why not transfer them into an external hard disk if you don't have HDD then a USB drive?

Windows 10 would be enough since all new Electrum are running fine.
2952  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Does Binance.us allow you to P2P in other countries? on: May 25, 2022, 11:54:39 PM
Why not use other exchanges like Kucoin exchange based on their terms they do allow you to trade without KYC verification.
So you can also able to trade on their P2P exchange.

The only problem is that they only have a few listed sellers on their P2P unlike Binance on their .com domain but still worth as your other option to trade P2P.
2953  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: A true open source and clean firmware for antminer s9 and above. Bitcoin miners on: May 25, 2022, 10:40:32 PM
If it's clean straightforward firmware without extra fees why don't you just use the firmware available from the Bitmain download page?

The only problem is they do not have an open-source but they are trusted because they are the ones who manufacture Antminer. So it should be trusted.

Or do you have other reasons why you are looking for open-source?
2954  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S9 not hashing after changing control board on: May 25, 2022, 10:32:30 PM
Based on your logs it could be a PIC flash corrupted or fried PIC chip.

What I would like you to try is to run hashboard one by one you can follow this guide "Antminer test one by one"

Check the logs again and update here for changes.

The other thing that I noticed from your logs is that PCB temp has an abnormal status so there is a big possibility that your hashboard is overheating it could be short capacitors or dead sensor.
2955  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Can you explain the tutorial of Chip Mixer btc will compensate on: May 24, 2022, 11:59:47 PM
I think you were confused about the chips why not play first with a small amount of around 0.002 and try to split them or one of the chips like 0.001 to donate it increases your anonymity.

Then hit withdraw you should see a private key and you need it to import it to Electrum wallet and send it anywhere you like.

If you can't still don't know how to or understand how it works I suggest you read this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5256899.0
2956  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum 4.0.9 wont open in Windows 8.1. on: May 24, 2022, 11:38:52 PM
~snip~

It is the same as other people experienced on Windows 7(and me as well) that they can't able to use a higher version than 3.3.8.

If the Bitmover suggestion does not work your last hope is to upgrade your OS to Windows 10 which have better security, feature, and support than Windows 8.1(it will end support next year) and all new version of Electrum should be working as I tested them.

Can you tell us the reason why you don't want to upgrade it to Windows 10 since they already suggested it many times from old replies here? System requirements?
If it is just for the files then upgrading does not delete old files it should be still there on your hard drive after an upgrade.
2957  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Current Cost of s9 and best place to buy on: May 24, 2022, 11:16:14 PM
85$ is exactly what I’m looking for if they work! Why couldn’t I find him on google, seems to good to be true.

If you read the posted link above it was posted 2 years ago so it means there is a possibility that miner are sold out and that time the price of Bitcoin is around $9k compared on the price today so it possible the prices are changed.
However try to contact him and maybe he can able to give you some other source with cheaper price than $439 you can maybe get them for around $150 or around $200
2958  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Current Cost of s9 and best place to buy on: May 24, 2022, 10:50:55 PM
According to this calculator https://www.mycryptobuddy.com/BitcoinMiningCalculator
You can reach the ROI after 1yr and 9 months. If you can get cheaper used or 2nd hand ASIC miner you can get ROI fast.

Use this tool to find the ASIC miner below then set it to 0 power cost just sort them with the algo and profitability.

Or try to contact offordscott for a used miner at a cheaper price. He sells an Antminer s9 before for $85 each which is way cheaper than your source.
2959  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Reduce load Antminer S19 with batch on: May 24, 2022, 10:34:07 PM
Why not just remove the one hashboard from your miner if your miner is running at 3000w removing one hashboard will drop to 2000w?
Or you can try to run the miner at low power mode I don't know how much wattage will drop but I guess it will be around 2kw.

If you are using Braiins OS it has an option under miner>configuration>autotuning where you can able to limit the power consumption you can set it to 2000w if you want to run it with that power.
2960  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S17pro Control boards not working all of a sudden on: May 24, 2022, 10:18:31 PM
Weird you have miner type Antminer X17 did you flash your control board with a different miner? Or a different source than Bitmain?

I suggest you try to flash your miner with SD card firmware from Bitmain here https://shop.bitmain.com/support/download

After you flash it with an SD card upgrade it to the latest version available on the Bitmain download page above. Then test it again.

The other errors under this "no SN got, please write SN to /nvdata/sn" might because of mismatch serial number like the above said you need a code editor to fix this issue.
