2941  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Italian Serie A ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: December 23, 2021, 08:57:34 PM
Jesus holy moly. There are some games playing right now, I just got an alert. A bit awkward and I did want to watch Lazio as they're on my ticket but still need to work. Next week will be tough too, but get your picks in people, if you haven't already. I see loads of old picks from games moved over to this week so some old picks might need to change.
I was too late to make picks for yesterday's early games.I simply had no idea that midweek games can be played so early day. So yeah, probably it would be best to make picks for upcoming week now. Bussy Christmas period with many games played and lot of postponed or rescheduled games makes things a bit messy.
Though, as I see, Serie A goes into 2 week break and next game will be played just on 6th January if nothing will change. So, all attention goes to EPL, unfortunately, 2 Boxing Day games already got postponed.

NHL confirmed that they won't let their players to play in 2022 Olympics. Main reason of it is covid19, there is big number of infected players in most of teams that they even had to stop season for a week.
It's sad news because hockey is one of main events of Olympic Games and same like in 2018 it won't have it's biggest stars.
2943  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: December 21, 2021, 11:29:23 PM
It will disrupt the flow of the game and at the same time it will make it even more interesting. For example, It could be used to cool down the pressure when the game is getting to intense so some players will have few minutes of rest while the decision is being reviewed but yeah I think the game will be interesting if somehow this is implemented. Probably not going to be anytime soon though
And for TV it would be chance to make commercial break Cheesy. Football is one of rare sports which can't be interrupted for 45 minutes at least and I think it's way too long for TV.
But in general, I don't see problems about VAR. It works well in all leagues except EPL. Maybe coach challenge isn't bad idea, but I think one challenger per game would be enough.
2944  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Darts] 2022 PDC World Darts Championship 🎯 on: December 21, 2021, 11:18:12 PM
I an actually quite happy that this artificially built up hype about fallon Sherry sherrock is over now. I having nothing against her as a person but the hype around was just way to much and not justified. She have beat a few men in a sports where women have absolutely no disadvantage and everyone went crazy because of that for whatever reason and even wanted her to play in the premier League, even though he has not once beat a top 10 Player and does not even have a Tour card. That is not the definition of equality.
I agree that hype about her was a bit artificial. But probably nothing surprising about it. Yeah, women don't have any disadvantage in darts, but very few women play it on high level, so, they're hyping her. But it's not nice when commentators can't keep neutral and cheering for her without hiding it.
2945  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: December 21, 2021, 11:11:30 PM
Draw between Barcelona and Sevilla left me mixed emotions. If someone would had offered such result before game, I would take it without thinking much. But when you play against 10 men Sevilla, offcourse you want for something more. In general, it was solid game and we let Sevilla to make just 1 shot on target.
Real should be happy about this result. They will play against Athletic tomorrow. On paper it looks quite difficult opponent for them, but Athletic haven't won at home against Real since 2015.
2946  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: December 21, 2021, 10:14:30 AM
great match last night, seven goals, and we won
it looked bad in the beginning, being two goals down, but we played solid at those moments as well, and score four afterwards

back above Barca Smiley , three wins in a row, with Atletico and Sociedad having three loses in a row, and it is a point between us
Usually Monday night football is quite boring thing, but not this time, Valencia derby was great. Levante were leading 2:0, but Valencia comeback with 4 goals in a row was impressive thing.
Pity for Levante, they didn't played bad. With just 8 points after 18 rounds they're heading to Segunda in straight way.
2947  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk project Reserve fund. on: December 20, 2021, 11:39:16 PM
Scams aren't moderated here and it's probably main reason why such reserve fund isn't needed here. It's not forum staff responsibilty to protect people from scam and things that you offered just would add extra headache to them.
And such reserve fund means that quite significant amount of money would be in one hands. Who exactly would be responsible for it and handling situation if scam will happen? Bitcointalk isn't central bank, this comparison don't fit there very well.
2948  Economy / Reputation / Re: Lauda back as Ratimov, (alleged) on: December 20, 2021, 11:32:00 PM
So, you found potential alt account of Lauda. I already lost count how many alt accounts of Lauda in all these years were found here.
I'm not really sure what's the point of this topic and I don't see any connection between Lauda and Ratimov. Their style of posts, grammar is completely different. And as said, Lauda is from Croatia, Ratimov is Russian.
I wouldn't be surprised if Lauda have alt account here. And I think it's possible to find account which would be more close call than Ratimov.

I'm almost certain Lauda is a "he", because Theymos referred to Lauda as such one time, though that's making the assumption that Theymos knew enough about Lauda to know that particular fact.  But since Lauda was so private, even about gender, I usually tiptoed around it when referring to him/her.  Do you happen to have the scoop on that?
As you said, Lauda was so private, so, theymos words probably isn't enough proof to say that Lauda is a "he".
2949  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: December 20, 2021, 11:05:08 AM
solid off-topic, but it depends on age, would agree that under 20 years old see it different (metaverse vs real world sport)
being above 40 (myself), I think that real sport is better, but my opinion would not matter in 10-15 years

and if you watch it on TV, does it make a difference are these people avatars or real people? VAR is just one step closer to programmable sport, IMO
Back in 2020 when all leagues were stopped, I tried to watch these virtual things like football or F1. Personally, I wasn't very excited about it. I prefer to play myself than watch how others playing.
I doubt that real sports will be ever replaced by esports. These things will exist separately, but esports probably will get bigger recognition, like including to Olympics. And eventually it may become bigger thing than real sport.
Back to topic. Someone beat that - from Sunday games I got just 1.5 point from all 3 pools Cheesy. My performance this season probably should be called "One step forward and two steps back"...
2950  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Darts] 2022 PDC World Darts Championship 🎯 on: December 19, 2021, 10:54:54 PM
Disappointed about Labanauskas performance yesterday. He closed leg with nine darter, but despite it he lost match 3:1. Odds for De Decker were @3.00.
Today veteran Beaton won against Fallon Sherrock 3:2, It was really amazing game to watch.
Now last game of day finished just now where Clayton won against underdog Barry just 3:2.
2951  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UEFA Nations League 2020/2021 Discussion Thread on: December 18, 2021, 10:27:18 PM
@LTU_btc I feel sad for Hungary but I also see an opportunity to wager against them in all the matches, because I feel they’ll lose all the matches. Furthermore I’m favouring England to top the group, and I know Germany and Italy are pretty strong teams but yet my money is on England to top the group what are you’ll thoughts.
On the other hand, in Euro 2020 they had group with Portugal, Germany and France and they looked solid there and even were close to reach next round. So, maybe we write them off too early. Especially considering that big nations may not pay much attention to this tournament like it would be qualifiers to Euro or World cup.
2952  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: December 18, 2021, 10:21:24 PM
Barca leading 3:2, sounds like it was good game.
it depends. If you're a neutral, it was entertaining. If you're Barca fan tho, i'd be very worried cos the team still doesn't show any signs of improvements under Xavi, Ter Stegen with yet another abysmal performance, entire defence is 2nd division tier with or without Pique,, literally every game for Barca is a high-risk 50/50 match...heh, it was funny seeing barca players wasting time...against almighty Elche lol

Sevilla and Atletico is a bit of borefest....and 50 minutes in but still no yellow cards, very very weird to see sch a "clean" game between both sides, it's usually a yellow cards galore  Grin
I think it wasn't bad game. But getting early 2:0 lead probably made players to relax a bit. You simply can't waste 2:0 lead in 2 minutes. But at least team showed thatthey have balls and managed to win game. I agree that every game for Barca this season is 50/50, even against teams like Elche. But probably you can't ask for too much when you look at age of most of our players and considering how many injured players we have.
Sevilla won game 2:1 after late goal of Ocampos. Sevilla weren't better on the pitch, they played quite poor 2nd half, but it's already typical for them to win such kind of games.
BTW, what happened to Ocampos? He didn't got injury, but was carried out of pitch on stretcher. Such things happens in football way too often recently...

just curious, what project, product, etc... are you planning to advertise here in the forum?
Judging from his username and link displayed in his profile, he is from Clubriches.com.
Though, that would be a bit strange. This casino is owned by Freebitco.in whoare perfectly familiar witho forum and how to advertise here, so, it's a bit strange that they are asking such questions.
2955  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Darts] 2022 PDC World Darts Championship 🎯 on: December 16, 2021, 09:37:34 PM
the current champion Gerwyn Price defeated yesterday in his first match (round #2) the english player Ritchie Edhouse 3-1
this thursday the following matches are scheduled:
I missunderstood your post and thought that Price already lost in first game Cheesy. I even went to check results.
I haven't followed darts much this season, but nothing suprising to see Price and Van Gerwen as main favorites.
Also, I hope that my countryman Darius Labanauskas will go far in this championship. Though, his first opponent on Saturday de Decker isn't easy for him.

Just placed a first bet on Fallon Sherrock to win her first round match against Beaton @1.7 .
I think it's good choice. She have very good season and even become first woman to reach 1/4 in Grand Slam. I'm definitely going to tune in her game.
2956  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UEFA Nations League 2020/2021 Discussion Thread on: December 16, 2021, 08:12:31 PM
Poor Hungary, what they're doing in League A? Cheesy. Italy, Germany and England in same group looks serious.
Group 1 have favorite France, other teams is similar level. Group 2 looks ballanced, maybe excpet Czech Republic. Group 4 is most ballanced.
League B
Group 1 no obvious favorite, only Armenia looks weak. Group 2 - Russia is very lucky about draw. Group 3 and 4 looks impossible to predict.
League C
Group 1 Easy stuff for Turkey. Group 2 looks ballanced. Group 3 Slovakia is slightly better than remaining teams. Group 4 with 3 similar level teams and what Gibraltar is doing there.
League C.
Well, this stuff is just for hardcore football fans Cheesy.
2957  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammed for 230$ on buying the account on: December 15, 2021, 09:45:49 PM
I'm sorry, but not sorry. Buying Bitcointalk account isn't advised thing to do. You accepted risk by buying account from random stranger without any precautions like escrow. There is not much what we can do now because we don't know any details about scammer and username of his main Bitcointalk account. Only thing which can be done is tagging account which was sold, but nobody will not return you $230. Accept it as expensive lesson.
Wait, is LoyceV the account seller?

That'd put him on the naughty list for sure.
This thread edcalated into quite unexpected direction. What else we don't know about LoyceV yet?

Oh man slaman29 I just read about Barca's latest news. Aguero's just confirmed he's retiring from football.

I don't know much about the developments of his transfer but I do recall it was all about him finding a home to retire from football and to play with his good friend Messi... only to arrive at Barcelona when Messi gets pushed out, and then now to hang his boots up not in the way he'd have preferred.

I'll always remember him for THAT Agueroooooo goal. Of course he was a great deal more than that.
It was so sad to watch his press conference today. Pity that he had to retire much earlier than he wanted, but health is most important thing.
He was key player in Man City last decade and probably one of best players in EPL. Unfortunately he didn't got chance to play with Messi and his career in Barcelona lasted just 5 games. But at least he won Copa America with Messi last summer.

If we look at the fixture of the next week, it will be Barcelona-Elche match.  Barcelona can easily win.  Sevilla - Atletico Madrid match will be very difficult.  3 points is very important for both teams.  The leader of the league, Real Madrid, will play Cadiz at the Santiago Bernabeu.  I think Real Madrid will win 3 points and get through this week without any problems.
Words Barcelona and easy win can't be used in same sentence this season. Elche is close to bottom, but they're not easy team, they lost most of games just by 1 goal.
Real game against Cadiz shouldn't raise any questions.
If Atletico will lose against Sevilla, they gap to Real will be huge already.
2959  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: December 15, 2021, 08:17:31 PM
I am a McLaren fan here and regarding 2008 it would have been totally undeserved for Massa to win the title at that time.Every single duel on track against Hamilton he came out as a loser and he had the better car back then,Ferrari was just a bit better than McLaren. It was only luck that sought Massa to fight for the title and the funny thing was the local Brazilians gifted to Hamilton a Vasco de Gamma T-shirt meaning they were the eternal seconds in Brazil Serie A so hopefully even Hamilton was going to have a fate like that.Hamilton accepted it and he didn't care at all about that superstition and he became World Champion.

For 2021 I cannot say that Lewis deserved the title more than Max or Max more than Lewis but circumstances brought the title to Max and that is it,just that.
I already don't remember whole 2008 season as good as you, so, I won't argue whether Massa was worth to win it or no. But the way he lost title was really heartbreaking. Winning last race at home track, Ferrari already started to celebrate title and then Timo Glock happened.
And I didn't hear story about Vasco de Gamma T-shirt, that's interesting story.
2960  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger Nano S Plus on: December 15, 2021, 08:07:08 PM
Your behavior doesn't fit in with the Ledger marketing strategies. Your device must be destroyed and you have to buy a new Nano S+.  Smiley

But seriously, what will you do if one day the manufacturer stops releasing updates for your nano S? Are you going to risk using this hardware wallet for your savings or do you decide to buy a new one? It seems to me that it is time for users to prepare an action plan for such cases.
Yeah, I'm bad customer :/. I also don't change my phone every year when new model is released
That's good question. If Ledger will stop supporting Nano S, you still will be able to use. Same like you still can access funds on other obsolette Ledger wallets. But probably I just will get new hardware wallet and I'm not sure that it will be Ledger. Any way, I expect that Ledger will support Nano S for few years at least.
