2941  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Cointerra GoldStrike System Prices to be Released Soon! on: August 19, 2013, 08:37:31 PM
Why should we trust Cointerra when they can't even be relied upon to release announcements in a reasonable timeframe ?

This is why you don't make announcements about upcoming announcements. You just make the announcement when you are good and ready.
2942  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official ASICMINER Hardware Information on: August 19, 2013, 08:27:11 PM
Has any reseller received any Blades from the "Agust 11th" advertised re-stocking date?
I would like to buy one of those Blades, but I would like to buy from a reseller who has them in stock already, no preorders.
Regards.

Have you heard back from friedcat recently ?
Have you received new stock between August 11th and today ?

2943  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Butterfly Labs New 600GH "Mining Card" - RED FLAGS?!?! on: August 19, 2013, 02:33:35 AM
You can rest assured that BFL wont be shipping Monarch in November, it's unlikely they will even have a working prototype by then based on their track record and the reality of getting tape out -> wafers ->bumping ->chip packaging done by then.

What the fuck happened to you erk ? You went from fervent BFL supporter and apologist to detractor now ?

Jesus Christ. I think I just saw a pig fly by my window.
2944  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: {BFL} Why The Monarch Might Just Work on: August 19, 2013, 02:25:13 AM
I just realized we haven't heard anything about those hardware wallets BFL was pimping a couple trade shows ago.

Wonder if that is going to ship before Monarch.
2945  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Butterfly Labs New 600GH "Mining Card" - RED FLAGS?!?! on: August 19, 2013, 02:23:06 AM
Can't you recognize a server rack when you see one.

You kid, but honest-to-goodness, the first thought when I saw that rendering was "I bet that shelving would hold a lot of my wife's clothing and shoes. Would love to get something like that custom built for our master closet."

2946  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: {BFL} Why The Monarch Might Just Work on: August 18, 2013, 04:44:30 PM
You know what else might just work ? Holding onto two live electrical wires whilst jumping into a vat of acid, hoping to acquire super-powers.

Or you could take a chance on this product.

Either choice is liable to cause you pain and suffering.
2947  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL announces 28nm 600GH/S blade for $4680 on: August 18, 2013, 04:37:34 PM
Who care about this looser...maybee others loosers ?
... I know that foul stench ...
Josh I presume ? How are you this fine day ?
OMG...i'm "sock-puppeted" ! ^^
You Sir Xian, are the real Sherlock Smiley
How are your USB-Miner ? Do you mine the shit out your 0.05 btc/day ? ROFL...
ROI...no...anyone ?

My mining setup is humming along quite nicely, mining much more than 0.05 btc/day, thank you very much. friedcat has been a pleasure to deal with thus far, as have others that I have given my business to.

I wish I could say it was a pleasure doing business with you.

 *hugs and cuddles*

Appropriately named since it won't appear until spring at the earliest...
The last generation of the summer enters into a nonreproductive phase known as diapause, which may last seven months or more. During diapause, monarch butterflies fly to one of many overwintering sites. The overwintering generation generally does not reproduce until it leaves the overwintering site sometime in February and March.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monarch_butterfly

Personally, I found this section apropos.

"Monarch butterflies are poisonous or distasteful to birds and mammals because of the presence of the cardiac glycosides contained in milkweed eaten by the larvae."
2950  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Cointerra GoldStrike System Prices to be Released Soon! on: August 18, 2013, 02:59:44 PM
Cointerra GoldStrike System prices will be released within 48 hours! Stay tuned!!

Spoiler-Alert: Nobody cares unless you have a working product.

Please take your pre-order scheme, and return whence you came until you have something to demonstrate.
2951  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL Announces 600GH/s 28nm PCIe Mining Card on: August 18, 2013, 02:52:57 PM
So they have a spotty track record, but they've always delivered. They seem to have the best product for sale (or pre-order, depending on how you look at it). Why shouldn't I buy one? Or 10?
No one? The only thing I seem to be reading in this thread is the same old bullshit I've been hearing since I started looking into them over a year and a half ago.

 I'll bite.

Q: "Why shouldn't I buy one? Or 10?"
A: Because you have no reasonable expectation of delivery of product in a timely fashion, if we are going by well documented history. Using history is an indicator, you might theoretically be receiving your orders around this time in 2014.

Edit: ... and I am detecting the foul stench of sock-puppet on you Sad
2952  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Incoming Avalon News 8/9/2013 on: August 18, 2013, 11:47:15 AM
I've been offered an Avalon I think 3 times back around March and each time rejected it.
I don't want one.

This sounds to me like an irrational hatred that is blinding you. No one in their right mind would reject "free money" like you are.

As for what BFL gave me, so far 1 Jalapeno and 2 Singles ... though I paid for 1 Single.
Why? Coz that's the reason you can mine on a Jalapeno and a Single with cgminer.

Presumably you've contribute similar code that facilitates use of Avalon-based devices as well ?

I've also been given an Icarus, a ModMInerQuad, a BlackArrow Lancelot, an AsicMiner USB, an RPi, a BitBurner XX and a Cairnsmore1
So what. They are necessary to support the hardware in cgminer.

Cognitive dissonance: You only work on code for items you are given ? Won't work on code for Avalon for your own confusing reasons ?

And yes I have on a few occasions made comment about BFLs chips being the best.
...
The Avalon chips are crap in comparison, it takes 240 of them to make an Avalon - each chip is slower than an FPGA.
...
Even the Avalon design is the worst of all the devices we support with cgminer.

 Spoken like a true shill.

Yeah right I shill for BFL as much as you are useful to this community. Zero.

 I rest my case.

Finally, as a developer of software that is used across multiple hardware devices, I might recommend against expressing such zeal towards a specific hardware manufacturer. You are essentially pulling the equivalent of Microsoft endorsing AMD over Intel over ARM; something you will never see happen. Microsoft recognizes the benefits of having their software run on as many hardware platforms, and maintaining productive relationships with OEMs.

You're not making yourself look particularly good either Sad The jabs about a place for you at Butterfly Labs is not far off the mark given a certain personality you are aspiring to emulate.
2953  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: Organizing a group buy for 50+ BFL 600 GH/s Monarch ASIC cards on: August 18, 2013, 11:26:15 AM
Planned delivery is end of 2013. ... I am planning to buy a few cards myself and want to organize a group buy to combine purchasing power and get a discount. If you are interested in participating reply below or send me a PM.

 Three questions.

 1) Are you serious ?
 2) Are you aware of Butterfly Labs' history with shipping schedules ?
 3) Are you high right now ?
2954  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Butterfly Labs New 600GH "Mining Card" - RED FLAGS?!? on: August 18, 2013, 04:24:02 AM
But Even AMD had to delay their 6990 by 6 months because they had to re-engineer their cooling system!!!

If I have my history correct, I believe the 7990 was delayed as well due to similar cooling challenges.
2955  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL announces 28nm 600GH/S blade for $4680 on: August 18, 2013, 04:18:19 AM
Just shut up and take my money

They just might. Straight to Costa Rica.
2956  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Incoming Avalon News 8/9/2013 on: August 18, 2013, 04:13:22 AM
Avalon ... lulz
Shouldn't I be street walking as a gay prostitute?
Shouldn't you be street walking as a gay prostitute?

Based on your prior behavior, he makes a fair point Kano.

You're not coming off well acting in such a juvenile fashion.

What's wrong with walking the streets as gay prostitutes ? It's less shameful than shilling for Butterfly Labs.
2957  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL announces 28nm 600GH/S blade for $4680 on: August 17, 2013, 11:59:16 PM
Even their lead engineer thinks that this is possible and talks as if they already had a prototype.... (Tapeout is in August for those who didn't bother to read)

Assuming this is the same engineer that estimated the prior power requirements for their presently shipping product, I'm not sure how anyone can believe anything being reported prior to having a physical working product.

Again, I am using well-documented history as an indicator.

And I'm still waiting for my single and little single from A FUCKING YEAR AGO.  Just FOAD BFL...  Thank you.

If you are impatient from waiting, I have a...

Public Service Announcement:

If you have ordered from Butterfly Labs (BFL) and have not yet received your product, you are entitled to a refund whenever you request one (per FTC rules).

First ask Butterfly Labs (BFL) for one, they will probably say no but you might get lucky.
If you ordered via PayPal you can file a complaint with them even if you are outside the 45 day window. One customer has already gotten a refund from PayPal that was outside the 45 days.

If you ordered via BTC or Bank wire, you can fill out a complaint with the FTC and they will advocate for you with Butterfly Labs (BFL) to get your refund. You can also contact the office of the Kansas Attorney General and inform them that you have had your money taken with no product delivered for months, just more promises.

There are also several threads on how to get a refund from Butterfly Labs (BFL), here are two:

Well....H-board from BitFury don't need fan to work properly...(except if you go to overclocking...)

I'm not sure what your point is. The BitFury product is not 28nm, and is passively cooled by design.
2960  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Liquid Synergy Designs Inc. -ASIC mining hardware on: August 17, 2013, 10:31:49 PM
I can't imagine anything but sending the first 10k chips to batch 1 customers and so on.

Absolutely this. I imagine doing anything other than a FIFO queue for batches would be courting massive customer backlash.
