2941  Economy / Economics / Re: Global famine on: September 01, 2022, 06:42:31 AM
Global famine will certainly not happen. But we need to understand that we need a lot of prudence for achieving food security. We can't rely on non sustainable methods. We need to take up green farming seriously. We need to take up hydroponics and urban farming as well to achieve sustainability. We can't just live our modern lives in comfy homes and expect that farmers will supply our food.

I think there is a need for companies to stop also producing like CocaCola which needs millions of cubic meters of water to produce a carbonated drink that we don't need in our bodies. These companies by the way partnered with companies who have water rights as well  from the government.

Imperial Irrigation District (IID) in Colorado for instance have water rights from the state which provides water irrigation to a wide desert planting grass only to be shipped to China. While at the same time, Colorado is experiencing drought.

2943  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH Merge - Vitalik memes and lots of expectation on: September 01, 2022, 04:44:03 AM

It wouldn't hurt to have some ETH if you think it's going to pump. I would probably wait for the pump before getting in.

Anyone probably would take sides with ETH's surge if they can buy a lumpsum of ETH to become a validator and that means those who hyped the ETH are likely among or looking to be part of the validators.
2944  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: September 01, 2022, 04:23:11 AM
if Butler can stay at least round 8 and up? then this is enough entertainment but of course by not running around the ring like what mayweather use to do in his fights.

This would be a go-to strategy for Paul Butler to avoid a head-on confrontation against Inoue.  This would be greatly effective if  Butler has the reach advantage but sadly Inoue has longer reach at 171 cm while Butler's reach is only 165 cm. So it would be hard for Butler to take advantage of the distance fighting because of the stated reach data.  So I guess this would be the challenge for Butler's camp, to design a fight strategy where Butler can run around the ring while effectively leaving jabs, or straight behind.
Really hard to execute out such plan if your opponent does have longer reach compared to you then running around and making some jabs  or simply make some hit and run wouldnt be that much effective
or something a very difficult thing to be done even if you dont really tend to fight head on but this wont really be that an easy way to make a lead on point knowing that you are fighting someone
which do have that fighting ability on adapting on things plus really good on technicality which means that you would really be on an disadvantage.Lets see on how
Butler will really be making out adjustment considering that he's fighting someone which is really that hard puncher and good countering etc.
While we know that whenever two boxers get into the ring anything can happen at the same time this is one of those fights in which I do not really see how Butler is going to win this, whenever you begin to see the data everything seems to be in favor of Inoue, so the only way for Butler to win this is if Inoue was not at 100% when they fight each other, but in that case Inoue could just try to postpone the fight and then Butler will be back at square one.

Big blow for Butler's career if this will be postponed. This is his biggest fight so far to finally make it big, his first fight in defending the WBO title is with the Monster. Although less chance of winning, it's an opportunity to make huge pay and at the same time can grab a bit of attention from different boxing organizations. He should congratulate himself still for reaching this height.
2945  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [LIST] Gambling sites with internal exchange on: August 31, 2022, 08:16:25 PM

^ USDT on TRC20 used to be much cheaper like a dollar, $11 seems too much already. When people discover how low it is to make transactions thru trx20 USD, it gradually increased. Have not tried USDT on Polygon but I bet it must be cheaper than that. Only a few casinos supported MATIC however is only the list.

Like @Mr. Magkaisa said, Doge still is a good alternative for withdrawing if not XRP. The casino that supports more altcoins is Betfury so far.

2946  Economy / Economics / Re: Rich Mindset vs Poor Mindset : 5 key differences on: August 31, 2022, 08:07:20 AM
This is because poor people don't have access to investments. If you look at what they learn from class it's just SAVING Money for the future. While the rich have access to the stock market and real properties inherited from thier parents. The rich also look up to what their parents were doing which was investing while the poor kids look up to their parents who toil hard.

This makes them think saving will make them rich but in the end, inflation hits them because the value decreases while the value of stocks could fly.
2947  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Avachance.com - Avalanche based lotteries secured with Chainlink VRF %100 Trans. on: August 31, 2022, 07:47:22 AM
Since your platform support AVAX (do you support Bitcoin), I guess you must move the thread in marketplace (altcoin section). If your platform support Bitcoin, you can keep it here.

Is there any system like lottery weight? For instance; if I want to buy two lottery for a single round, is it possible?

Hello,

Sorry, we didn’t know that. Yes it is possible to buy multiple tickets.

The cheaper the token, the easier for users to play with it such as Matic. ForAVAX, I think more will see it as a good token to hold.

Why do you have Max Participants to 5 only?  The lottery is very new with a history of 2 lotteries only. I think this will need to be promoted first to AVAX community for it to gain trust here. While there are AVAX holders in the forum, there ain't a sure way they will participate.

2948  Economy / Economics / Re: BITCOIN IS NOT A STORE OF VALUE on: August 31, 2022, 07:28:33 AM

Just look at what we are doing with BTC today, we trade, buy something using BTC and keep it in our wallet. When we fund the charity foundation using BTC, it is accepted so it's got to be more than just a store of value. Regardless of what this guy is saying, digital assets will be adopted and will be used widely that governments today are grabbing.
2949  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: They have the team and good idea but they choose the wrong name on: August 31, 2022, 07:18:15 AM
Dogecoin was just something of a joke that they try to keep using in gambling and was not meant to be really taken seriously. The name was unimportant during that time, if you have been around when it was less than a cent, the other coins were named Trump coin or Putin coin. It was just meant to get BTC from someone who trades these coins.

Doge was just taken seriously due to the pump of Musk. Now it was under a lens and people see its decentralization after all no one decides on its path because the CEO abandoned it.

2950  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Money but from where on: August 30, 2022, 09:54:01 PM
If you have to work at McDonalds, go for it. Working 2-3 jobs to make ends meet to survive is common today because of the crisis. Money is everything we need more than ever.

Someone approached me that he'd cut the grass on my lawn and although I have no budget for it but because the guy seems to be needing some money, I just have to let him do it. Providing this services is a job.
2951  Economy / Economics / Re: Russia May Have Passed Peak Oil on: August 30, 2022, 06:27:57 AM

There isn't a shortage of gas and oil yet. For Russia, they have vast land to drill for gas which it is all of us face the problem of where we buy without the burden of freight cost. EU for instance still hasn't found where to get gas this winter. Asia also has to buy from Russia also. Even if Russia have passed peak oil, do we have an alternative source?

Saudi is also not willing to cooperate with Biden. Gas drilling countries including Russia are just not working with EU or US since they were trying to kill this industry thru that kid Great Thunberg.

China drilling the South China Sea for gas is about to happen, by the way, I recently read the news about it and they were to partner with a drilling company from the Philippines.

2952  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Dmitry Bivol vs Zurdo Ramirez on: August 30, 2022, 05:11:02 AM
44 wins no loss.  That's a lot to say about Ramizer.
A long wait, the fight will be on November 5. There will be a lot of analysis we'll see between the two from the sports pickers. He could be right about Ramizer not having many big fights with big names in his pro career. But he does have the reach advantage. Who knows a Southpaw may stop Bovils reign in his division.
In theory Southpaw will have advantage over Orthodox, moreover Ramirez have a reach advantage too, he could jabs Bivol when he's open his hands. I think the only way Ramirez win is via decision, so he will play distance and need to dodge all of Bivol's punch. But who knows Bivol can find a good moment where Ramirez miscalculate the possible move from Bivol and then he get hit by Bivol that would make him fell sleep.

But Ramirez is slow as compare to Bivol, so even if he jabs then maybe Bivol can counter him with his favorite 1-2 punch, the same style and tactics he did with Canelo. But I have to agree that it might be thru decision if he is going to win. But it's going to be very difficult for Ramirez. But if he think his style will beat Bivol, then just continue and don't change anything. Perhaps the adjustment will be in the fight itself. He has the experienced so I expect to somewhat to do for him to win.

Bivol's style of fighting is something that Ramirez needs to workout and study. He has that good fundamentals where he can convert
with his combination, if Ramirez wants to take him down he needs to convert more and make sure to land a solid combination, he needs
to b more aggressive and more on trying to create an opening to land and convert solid punches into Bivol's critical areas.

Zurdo is capable of doing all these, he may just be doing all he can to beat Bivol. The two are very strong so it's going to be a battle. We haven't seen the odds yet but it might just be close with a slight favor to Bivol.

Bivol's camp comes up with an excuse ahead of time thru the issues against Zurdo about dehydration. If the accusation will be taken seriously, it could be an issue.

Axie still has the most users playing. If you are trying to look for alternatives try checking this list https://dappradar.com/rankings/category/games

So many games today are created on Polygon, BNB chain, WAX, Solana, and EOS. This is sort of an investment as well if you are rooting for its success, the stats you can find in the link will give you an idea about them also.
2954  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it right time to invest in Cardano? on: August 29, 2022, 09:30:59 PM
Is Cardano (ADA) a good coin to invest in it for long term?

I would answer your question positively, but this is not investment advice. Cardano has now lost about 85% of its value and is not a bad option for a long-term investment, especially when you consider that Cardano is constantly working on updates of its project, adding new products. The vasil hardfork, which aims to improve Cardano's own features, is currently being prepared for release. In general, ADA is constantly evolving and for the long term it is a good option.

They are claiming to be more decentralized due to thousands of pools created on ADA. This vasil fork I heard on youtube update that it's almost completed which is why it's not going down terribly anymore, I guess it bottomed at -85%.

There is so much more to be developed in ADA if anyone reads its roadmap, the plans go ll the way to Voltair which will be years from now. Its a long wait, an investor has to be really patient to see results.
2955  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Justin Bons baseless criticisms on: August 29, 2022, 02:07:50 PM
Bitcoin being a security will eventually make itunder controlled by SEC, that is not what decentralization will be. You dont want what BTC to be how Eth is after its merge. Since he support so much of blocksize issue then he can suggest to Ver for BTC cash to be security.

I actually have not heard of Justin Bons before today. But its not surprising to see someone from known Institutions to wish to acquire control over an asset.
2956  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: August 29, 2022, 04:33:16 AM

If you want a fight that can extremely end in spectacular way, Inoue can bring it. Naoya is very comfortable with bantamweight for more than 5 years, so this will be an easy fight for him. You can not however take out the chance of an upset. Naoya still can not be overly confident.

Only if our very own Casimero could have fight and bet Paul Butler, he should be the one fighting here. In any case, this is for all the belts and as his monicker, the Monster, it will be hard pressed to see an upset here. I think almost all the advantage is for Inoue. But I would still love to see Inoue vs Casimero whether in this weight class or in the next. Butler's chin is going to be tested here and hopefully if can hold against the best bantamweight right now, and I wouldn't be surprised to see a knockout.

Casimero is a very scary fighter same the monster, he is also a champ and exchanged tweets with Naoya but were not enough to interest Arum. He might be the next one that Naoya will KO.
2957  Economy / Gambling / Re: Some Crazy Fun Facts About Casinos And Gambling You Might Not Know. on: August 29, 2022, 04:13:43 AM
2. The Nevada State Prison Used to Have a Casino for Inmates.

Gambling is such a huge industry in Nevada that even the state prison had a casino inside it for 35 years. That's right: inmates could play blackjack, craps, poker, and even bet on sports inside the "Bullpen," a stone building on the prison's grounds in Carson City from 1932 to 1967. A new warden from California shut it down that year, saying gambling was a "degradation" to the inmates.
This is quiet not new honestly because there’s still illegal gambling in the Prison though having that classic casino in the prison is really not good at all. Most of the prison becomes more dangerous once they get into gambling, addiction can make things worst so it’s really not advisable to have this. I read some news before in my country about the raid in one of high inmates room, and you can really see there all the stuffs for gambling, it looks like they are protected as well. There’s a lot of shocking story about gambling, some are just really weird to know.
Maybe this can be a way to educate them and keep them under control while getting out of the prison. How come this prisoners generate revenue to gamble, and on this stand I think this is just to make them entertained and doesn't have the real money into the games. Already being into prison for a reason and this gambling could sometimes help them get out of stress. Maybe the prison could've done it with a positive approach and things are taking place against that.

Not an acceptable way to generate funds for the prison. In the past, the penitentiaries are making the prisoners work like cultivating farms and plant for thier food. We know the nature of casinos, somebody's got to lose thier money. And they'd be addicted to gambling as well, how is that prison for rehabilitation?
2958  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can One Actually Do Crypto Trading As A Living on: August 28, 2022, 01:21:37 PM

A lot of traders claimed to be. But I'm sure don't focus on crypto alone. When it's a bear market like we have right now, it's hard even if they are into leverage and futures trading, the market is just too unpredictable.

5% today and tomorrow the market may close to -10%, that's how they'd lose with just a piece of news from FED or due to messed up fork.
2959  Other / Archival / Re: buy your casino account on: August 28, 2022, 10:00:37 AM

You will learn in a terrible way when your money is frozen in a bought casino account.

The reason to buy an account is to avoid KYC but most casinos today will once again ask the KYC to verify again. This will cause you trouble and probably will let this seller access the account to verify, funds are at the mercy of this seller and you don't want that.
2960  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Resisting the below twenty thousand level on: August 28, 2022, 09:49:27 AM
A lot of speculation has been ditched out in the last 48 hours since Bitcoin battled to retain the 20 thousand dollars price even though some expect has predicted a more bearish market in the next month, and some others are of the view that the 20 thousand dollars price is the bearest minimum Bitcoin could fall back to.

At the moment Bitcoin is at a decisive level to either level up or pull back below the 20k dollars level, in the next coming day Bitcoin price will witnesses a lot of volatility we should be prepared for that and make a lot of speculation that can help analyze the market and it grows.
The price is barely above 20k but I do not think this situation can continue for long, when we take into account the lack of upward momentum and the panic that will be caused by the influx of coins which will be sold during the next weeks then I think it is safe to assume the price will keep going down for some time, and while disappointing this should be viewed as yet another opportunity to buy bitcoin for a sub 20k price and since I believe this will be one of the last opportunities that we have to do it  we need to take advantage of it.

And it's going to be obvious that if the support does not hold then the price will go down to maybe another lowest low. So this is a big mental support and so we will see how the bulls are going to defend it even with the Mt. Gox news or the Fed statement. Of course the opportunity will present itself, nevertheless we don't want another panic sell. I agree that we are in a bull run, but I don't think that we can go lower $17k. That is a huge fall from $69k and I don't think that we need to see -80% history.

It's been what is in the discussions on podcasts everywhere and if MtGox coins are distributed, prices will be dragged to $17k. I couldn't tell whether I'd like that to happen but if the volume of BTC goes all the way to the roof in maintaining the $20K level, I guess a flash dip to $17k will likely happen so hold your stablecoin just to be prepared.
