2941  Economy / Services / Re: Bitvest Suggest Compeition, win .1 BTC! on: July 17, 2016, 08:49:24 PM
Site: https://bitvest.io/

Contest: The best suggestion for an improvement on bitvest.io will win .1 BTC
If we receive suggestions in 2nd place,3rd,4th, etc. That is fairly decent.
You'll win a consolation prize of 0.02BTC for 2nd, .01BTC for 3rd, and .005 BTC for each
suggestion we implement.

The improvement can be a site implementation idea, an improvement in some area, an improvement or addition to any game, or a new game idea for bitvest.
The best submit will win the contest. Take a look around bitvest, get a feel for it, and get suggesting.

Duration: Depending on submits received, if I get a really good submit you may win immediately.

Terms: If I don't receive any submits that are worthy/good enough for bitvest, then there may be no winners. Or only a minor consolation prize of .02 to .005 BTC if its
only minorly good. I have the right to determine which suggestions are unique and worthy of prize & which are not. For example suggesting implementing blackjack is a fairly common casino game,
and something I would most likely implement down the road, even though I implemented your suggestion, you wouldn't win in this case.
I Dont know whether others have suggested this but I want to suggest that there should be converter calculator for different currencies and denominations of Bitcoin as most people find it difficult to convert into BIT, Satoshi etc... Also you can include suggested trustworthy merchants for stress free transactions...
We're looking for features that will improve the user experience for the site, or possible ways to engage more users, preferably without involving any payouts. Also, when suggesting game related features. Consider that anything that increases investor risk by a large amount is not possible to implement.
Also, please consider this is an investor gaming site, many game ideas have been for things that go against the investor model of the site.
Suggestions like "Make X better" are helpful feedback, as it lets us know something is wrong or could be improved. But we'd prefer to know what you'd like to see changed to improve or fix the issue.

That being said, thank you for all the suggestions and feedback so far, it's highly appreciated. There many great ideas in this thread that we're currently discussing and looking into implementing soon.
In addition include a live chat platform for communication nd users to ask nd get real time answer... My 2cents...
2942  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Today was a good day on: July 17, 2016, 08:33:08 PM
Grin Today was a good day for me. On one dice I played I got from 0.011 to 0.0155 profit 0.0045. I had gone down to 160k went all in got 320k went all in again 640k then I made my way to 800k then 1100k.

The other I went from 0.019 to 0.025 so 600k profit.

All in all I made 0.011 profit with 0.03

I almost lost many times I was very lucky.

So how was your day ?
In as much as today is a happy day to you but I will advise Dont be carried away because you won by chance and you might lose even more than what you earn by that same chance because that's how it is. And also keep your earnings and Dont be motive by greed in believing it will continue like that in addition, the bad day is around the corner... My 2 cents...
2943  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: The legality of sending money abroad using bitcoin - am I doing something wrong? on: July 17, 2016, 08:20:43 PM
Hi everyone.
I am new. I hope this is the right sub for this.

I work outside the US.

I tend to prefer to keep my balance in USD as opposed to the currency at my current place of residence. I have a US bank account of course.

What I do is cash out my salary and buy bitcoins with it.

Then, I send the bitcoins to the american exchange I am using (Coinbase, Circle, or other), and issue a sell-order.

This saves me tons on fees (last international wire I did ended up costing me $70. That's outrages).

My question is about the legality of this. My intuition tells me there's nothing wrong with this (just a modern way of sending money), but I want to make sure I am in the clear.

The reason I have decided to ask, is because Coinbase emailed me asking for more information regarding this action. They are asking for the source of the funds, my line of work, and so on.

I will appreciate your advice or input on this.

Thanks so much.

Alex

I'm my opinion, it depends on the position of the law on situations like that, if the law is silent on issues like that then there is not wrong cos a reasonable person will want to keep his money from the reach of government cos its interpreted to mean avoiding rather than evading but if the law is expressly against it then @op you're working against the law which is wrong... 2945  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins existence has increased the spread of child pornography on: July 17, 2016, 06:22:04 PM
http://qz.com/725828/a-startup-is-trying-solve-bitcoins-child-pornography-problem/

This is a very alarming article, and this is one of the reasons why the government should intervene with the bitcoin transactions to stop this kind of nefarious activities. It is not only used in pornography but also purchase of drugs and other illegal equipments. We may not know but maybe terrorists are buying weapon of mass destruction using bitcoin to terrorize cities. This is a big call to all government to monitor the illegal operations in the cryptocurrency economy. This things must be stop with the help of the government for our safety and childrens welfare.
In as much I respect your opinion , I wwill want to disagree with you on that in the sense that irrespective of Bitcoin all these social vices has been there even before the advent of Bitcoin but I agree that government should just keep watch and quench all these threats against the society but not to ban Bitcoin or control it because in as much as people are using it in a negative way, thousands are still making income through this means... 2946  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is stealing Bitcoin illegal? on: July 17, 2016, 05:52:27 PM
Let's say I generate a new address and by some miracle it has Bitcoin already in it belonging to somebody else. Is it legal to just take it? I understand those odds are very low, no need to lecture me, I'm just interested.
j
Taking whatever does not belong to you is wrong from the moral point of view however the determination of whether illegal or not is left to law to decide and in this case to the best of my knowledge in countries where Bitcoin is not legalizd then its not illegal from the legal point of view but from the moral point, it is wrong... I think it really depends on a country. On your one and on a country of smb you steal from. In some countries btc is out of law (you can do anything with it if they don't have the a precedent in law), in others it might be a serious crime

I think it is just a bug if that happens and it is not going to be a miracle if that happens because it is going to be a bug for sure.
And if that happens for sure you are not stealing at all and it is not your fault.
You are just lucky after all.

2948  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your gambling strategy on: July 17, 2016, 05:29:24 PM
What do you think is better - gambling on smallest bets on games with jackpots or just gambling high rolls? Playing marginal hi lo - odd 2 with 100% or odd 3 with 100%? Slots or cards? I like to gamble, share with me your strategies, wining or losing...
There is no strategy to gambling because even what you regarded as strategy is as a result of chance cos its gambling however understanding the trend as it is could increase the chance of winning but its still chance as strategy on its own is a sure win...my 2cents...
2949  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Losing investment on Gambling sites on: July 17, 2016, 03:48:00 PM

Was planing to invest on a gambling site since they said its a gauranteed profit since the house can't lose but I'm still skeptical about it, i don't have much BTC so I have to make sure whether its going to be profitable for me.  What possibilities could happen to the gambling site i wanted to invest into and how am i going to lose my investment in such a manner?
No investment is ever risk free from time immemorial not to talk of gambling with the risk or chance attached could likely be more than than the returns nd Dont be deceived into believing that its safe? Put what you can afford to lose... My 2 cents...
2950  Economy / Services / Re: Paying $3 each for someone who can make accounts on: July 17, 2016, 02:08:35 PM
This op has not been online since July 12th nd has not even paid pending accounts. If anybody has received payment after the said date should notify others and to those still opening accounts waiting for payments kindly excercise patience to get response from him... my 2 cents...
2951  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How greedy you are ? on: July 17, 2016, 01:31:26 PM
The only thing greedy people want is to make money and won't be conscious of when to stop till that lose because of one thing, "they are greedy" but thinking they are smart eventually they lose all not because theory are foolish or stupid but because of the fact of greed nd that can't even serve as a lesson to them because they are greedy and will continue to lose even after they are lucky to amass reasonable payout... 2952  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for somebody who can make signatures for a signature campaign on: July 16, 2016, 09:13:34 PM
We will do a signature campaign in the near future and are looking for somebody to make the signatures. If you know how to make those signatures and want to make them for us, please drop me a message with your offer. As I understood I need various signatures for the different levels of memberships. The signature campaign will be for www.deribit.com, a bitcoin futures and (vanilla) options exchange.

You can try the service section as suggested by others but also you can contact personally the various moderators of significant ad campaign for better understanding and not fall victim... My 2 cents...
2953  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you want to become Rich you need to Put Higher bets on: July 16, 2016, 08:44:44 PM
Is it really true that if someone want to earn big from gambling he need to make a higher bets? Yes he can also loose but if he is lucky enough he can earn big amounts too. People can not make profits with lower bet amounts like .05 etc. you need a higher amounts bets.
That's will be the the greatest mistake anyone can think of although have it at the back of your mind that the higher the risk the higher the returns but have it at the back of your mind also that it is based on chance which means you might lose everything and if you're ready to do that then go ahead... My 2cents...
2954  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin betting on: July 16, 2016, 08:34:44 PM
Hello, i'm looking for a site where i can gamble my Bitcoins.

Any suggestions??   Huh

There are many gambling sites using bitcoin out there. For dice sites, you can try primedice, rollin.io and many else. For sportsbook, you can try nitrogensports, sportsbet.io and directbet.
I suggest you do your findings very well and be careful in othernot to lose your money and most importantly rely on evidence from those who have tried it before not just suggested sites alone... My 2cents...
2955  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Is it illegal for someone to hack my BTC wallet? on: July 16, 2016, 08:17:29 PM
I'm not clear on this one point.  If somebody got a hold of my private key and moved funds from an address that I claimed on the ledger, is that against the law?  At what point could that be considered a crime?  For example, if they hacked into my machine and stolen the private key; if they sniped the pk while snooping on a public access connection; brute forced the pk into existence; or just plane snapped a shot of my qr code over my shoulder....ect  In which of those examples could I pursue prosecution for the theft of my coin?
From the moral point of view in my own opinion, it is wrong however morality does not change anything but issue is that can it be proven in the court of law so better still I suggest you try other more secure ways to keep it safe to make more secure and avoid reoccurrence of such. My 2 cents...
2956  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling 101 on: July 16, 2016, 02:03:06 PM
I always experiencing an error about my balance in any gambling websites, and it says "Error 404: BTC Not Found". It sucks to be a loser and I don't have a very effective way or method to make an income in gambling. LOL.

It is not only you but no one in this world got effective ways to make earnings from gambling on a regular basis. Whoever try to earn money from gambling will end up losing most of their money so don't chase profits in gambling instead just gamble for fun and if you're lucky surely will make some money and only sometimes but not always.
Gambling is always on chance for the fact it works for you does not mean it will work for everyone like that. In as much you're ready to lose and also take the risk the all well and good and to those who are always on losing side just know gambling is not for every one... My 2 cents...
2957  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: MY gambling strategy to limit loss and make btc on: July 16, 2016, 08:06:34 AM
My strtegy is very simple. It is called self control. i strt with .01 anytime i get  more than .001 over that amount i immidieately withdraw that ammount into coinbase. this way, i cant get cocky and gamble away huge orofits! Ehat are you guys opinions on this strat
Good strategy on your part but Dont forget its working for you based on chance and probability which might change anytime time but I commend your strategy cos of the amount of your wager which you might lose or ready to lose if the tides turn . be careful its on chance good luck in your strategy... My 2 cents...
2958  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to play gambling in a smart way? on: July 16, 2016, 07:49:53 AM
I have noticed so many players are just gambling for the sake of profits only. But majority of them loses most of the games eventually as they are not smart players.

So how should we gamble in a smart way so that we do not get more frustrations due to continuous losses?
There is no smart way to iti whatsoever in my opinion because its bout chance and chance defiles being smart however when one get to know the trend you could make heads way and another way to it is to wager a small amount in other to minimise loss in case it occurs. My 2cents...
2959  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can gambling be profitable in long term ? on: July 16, 2016, 07:22:48 AM
If someone which follows the set of rules and be discipline enoff. Can people make 50-100 $ a day just gambling in online casino.....?
Gambling in my own opinion can never be profitable in the long run because even gambling itself is a short term king however when one understand the trend then it might work for you short term but not long term beacusethats what it is.'short term'
My 2 cents...
2960  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your reason to gamble? Fun or profit? on: July 16, 2016, 07:10:37 AM
Do you gamble for fun or for profit?
No one loses money for fun.the primary motive of anyone going into gambling is obviously to make profit. Me I gamble to make profit which is the primary aim, then if I can't achieve that I either lock up or term it fun... My 2 cents
