could be the gear one of my 5 s9's is down will check on it today The controller is dead and it is a june 14th miner so it is out of warranty. Sooo very tired of these miners. Wow so what's that 3 out of 5 S9 that you have had problems? That's definitely not a good record. Sorry to hear about all the troubles. [/quote] no this mofo is a repeat offender. it is the one I got in august mined for 10 hours and killed a board. replacement came mine for 10 days and killed the controller. Up that f'ing ladder into the loft of the array again. Took home two units that were bad back in august since one was a repeat offender and the other was opened and out of warranty. one mined as philipma1957.1 the other as philipma1957.one the new unit's boards are all good the controller is dead. so I went to buy a controller from bitmainwarranty in Colorado and f you sold out. I am sick and tired of the support they don't give (pun intended). I have four boards on one controller getting 14th with that should be doing 23th

Product Shipping: $15.00 >>>>>>> this is cheap how long to NJ Cheapest one if you are not in a hurry. Its depends on the day, may go out via USPS Percel Post, Priority Mail or UPS, whichever the warehouse guys are able to pick/pack the latest. UPS Ground option be UPS Ground but the last option is a mystery shipping. The slowest speed be shipping from Denver, Colorado to your destination via Parcel Post via USPS on next business day shipout. UPS the best option for the warehouse as there is a daily pickup by the UPS and staffs know the cut off time to meet. one of my s-9's went off line today. I am going to check on it tomorrow it appears to be the entire unit. philipma1957.1 10.193k 13hrs 6,098 62,156,914 0GHs 11m 40s 0.115% 0.009% 0GHs @ bitmainwarranty I am looking to order 1 psu from your store and maybe a controller after I check on tues I will get back. what do I pick for shipping? So I will order a new controller and a new psu. from bitmainwarranty.com the dead controller is the same unit I purchased in August that a board died in 10 hours. So far this unit has mined for two weeks and been down or part down for three weeks. and the s9 controllers are sold the fuck out. un freaking real i will mine with four boards on a controller for now

yoshi said to me he would soon have an extended warranty option for a purchase from bitmainwarranty.
It is now here: I think the 6 month option works for me.
I will be buying one.
Just submitted my order, i opted for the 6 month warranty. I did the calculations for 1 S9 12.93 with a bitmain PSU from china vs BITMAIN Warranty in denver. I ended up paying $80 more when ordering from Denver, PLUS I get the 6 month warranty. Its really a no brainer for those living in the US. If the miner ends up going out its even cheaper for shipping. and one of my controllers went dead but I will buy one outright from colorado along with a psu. in the meantime I am running 4 boards on one controller

Just how quiet can these S9's be?
Ive got an S7LN that's on 20% fan speed and runs at around 55c on each board. I don't intend on running the S9 (if I get one) at full speed due to electricity limitations but want around 4Th out of it. Would I be able to get it to run as quiet as the S7LN?
Thanks.
no but freq 300 and fan at 30% is something you should be able to do

Thanks, Phil. Your explanation makes sense.
What kind of enclosure are you going to use for a mixed approach?
I may build a wood/aluminum open air frame. I saw a video on YouTube on how to build one
All wood I have a wooden breakfast tray. I will post photos

So there is enough clearance under the slotted cards to fit the riser cables? I've been wondering this myself. Please confirm. board is due to arrive today. I will take the cards from the other setups and see if I can get 4 or 5 cards to fire up. based on my biostar z170 I think one riser will allow a fit see below one with blank arrow would be a maybe last one would not work thus no arrow

Never had anything hosted before. Always preffered to have it to hand rather than trusting someone else to sort something out if it goes wrong etc etc. Its a shame they don't list products to buy for people in Europe. I was hoping they would be cheaper than bitmain directly.
pm sent.

yeah I know i need to work on linux skills. but just not enough time. last night a solar array miner crashed I need to drive to the array to check out why. my s9 gear is starting to run really unreliably. Driving the 3 miles and climbing a ladder into a hot loft 1 or 2 times a month is fine. But doing it 2 or 3 times a week is not so fine. I am heat capped at my house with the gpu setup. I sold two 2 card mobos each has gpu ram m2 sd cooler and just needs a pair of cards. I purchased this mobo as a replacement it has 3 full slots and 2 riser slots it would allow for a 3-5 card build. I want four since it would replace the two 2 card mobos. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157672

here is what 23 gpus in a 6.5k setup earn and here is what 4 s9's costing 7k earn oh power used for eth coin is about 3700 watts and power used for btc coin is about 5200 watts warranty for gpu setup = 2 years warranty for s9 = 90 days all pc gear can be purchased via cc with pc gear has resale value of at least 50% a year later. maybe we see a shake up if this continues. If you are bitmaintech do you think you should build some ethcoin farms as a hedge?

Even the wolves have nothing for sale right now. Come on Avalon so we add to Kano.is!
I know...I noticed S9s seemed to be pau (Hawaiian for all done) a while back. From my personal, admittedly sometimes nimrod, view there is one (and more, I'm sure, but this one I prefer to hold) set of reasons for nothing being heard, and no S9s being built. If the rumors of an "A7" are founded in something, then it is probably in a performance/power/cost range that would put it hands down over the S9. If I were building S9s, I'd hold off on new batches if I had reason to believe I really needed an S10 instead...I'd be putting my resources into that S10. Anyway...assuming the rumors are not rumors...I think we'll know with certainty one way or the other by 1 Oct. Dunno why that date particularly, but it seems about as long as a company might be able to reasonably keep a secret like that...if it's a true thing. not sure if the avalon 7 will be a better miner, but the s-9 chip is not durable. The death rate is very high on the hashboards. This has to be causing them a lot of problems on many levels. Even though USA based bitmainwarranty.com now offers an s9 with 3 ,9 or 12 month warranties and will allow for paypal I am waiting to decide if I want more.

All rigs are windows 7.
I just don't have the time to play linux ubuntu.
Given that you're building essentially identical rigs, you get one Ubuntu setup working, clone it to a USB stick, the clone the rest FROM that stick - makes for a VERY fast system setup. Technically, you could do the same with Windows, but the "authentication" stuff makes that a cast iron PAIN to get working fully. you are right the three biostar rigs could clone. I also have 2 gigabyte b75m builds that could clone. that would be 16 of my 24 cards. I am just not familiar with linux and a bit lazy to do the learning curve. I don't mind the windows 7 builds. I grabbed 20 windows 7 pro coa's a while back and still have some left.

It looks an awful lot like it's fallen through.
Very sorry to hear, but I expected that.....Bitmain will be the last to sell miners for "home" use But with the diff rising & rising who can afford to mine at home with ASICs.....only folks like philipma1957 all my s-9's are in the solar array which is a homesite ,but with an 1 and ¾ acres of solar panels in a horse paddock does not quite count as at home mining. but the eth mining at home turns profit at the moment.
