Look at the question, he asked if we would see a drop in hashrate if KNC pulled the plug. I do not see this as off topic Huh

Kano said he didn't delete it. That leaves two possibilities. Maybe you should PM those two possibilities with your question.

Strange... Look at moderator of my deleted post "Guest" ??

Thanks for the response Xircom.  You are 100% correct, the question was about network hashrate as it relates to this pool (remember people, bitcoin mining is a zero sum game).  I wasn't trying to start some random KNC discussion here.  I guess if I was talking about chicken it somehow would be more appropriate as those don't get deleted here hahahahah Smiley

If I changed the name of KNC to KFC would it then be ok to mention them???

Still no idea why it got deleted here, but I moved the question to the KNC thread out of respect to some mystery person who deleted it here for unknown reasons.  Overall, very strange.

Probably just some trigger happy mod that misinterpreted the discussion. Oh wait I'm the only active mod in mining.

meant as a joke  please do not delete.

I have a simple answer if KFC  stops mining  less then 50ph will go poof which is pretty much a very small amount of ph.

To bring up another point when will avalon release gear. (Sept 7 source was not accurate)

With only bitmaintech providing gear the Asic market is stagnate and not sure if I want to be all in with just bitmain in the game.

I know CK and Kano both are anti-alt coin  but this bitmaintech monopoly is really helping alt coin more then btc.  Which brings me back to When can I buy some avalon?

No, the outgoing mail server from the pool is Amazon AWS and has been for 6 months.

My last email from kano.is was from May, but I did notice there was no SPF validation. You could at least put that in your DNS (if you haven't already done so) if your outbound SMTP server never changes. Spam filters tend to treat SPF-validated emails less harshly. More importantly we have more confidence that it is not spoofed.

Shouldn't 430446 have included payouts for 430327, 430295 & 430290?   Maybe since 430446 was found so quickly after 430445 there wasn't time to put the payouts in there, is that maybe what happened?

Speaking of Bitmain, I can't wait for someone else to offer something else.  It is hard to support them when they have treated so many people so bad.  CK, I am talking about you and Kano (among many others), so please don't get trigger happy, I am staying on topic! Smiley

Yes and no Smiley
430446 was another of those super quick network blocks that we don't put free transactions in.
The payouts are free transactions so ... that's where 'no' comes in Tongue

Edit: and -ck has made some changes to accommodate that when I finally update to some form of 0.13

The domain in question blocked the first (new) email completely then 90s later replied with a greylist message to the next email.
It repeated the greylist message every 10 minutes after that for a few hours until I deleted the message from the queue.
9 hours later the reverse occurred - greylist first then block half an hour later.
Sendmail works that way, resending, by default ... ... ... so any stupid email server on the internet not happy with how sendmail works, obviously doesn't want people to send email to the server Tongue

The server in question includes a web link (and long web page) in the reply that is useless.
But if some server out there thinks than every domain that sends them email needs to contact them first ... well ... that's their mail server's problem not mine Tongue

I posted here last time email issues came up, and then moved to Amazon AWS ... so yeah it's rare.

Even the wolves have nothing for sale right now.  Come on Avalon so we add to Kano.is!

I know...I noticed S9s seemed to be pau (Hawaiian for all done) a while back. From my personal, admittedly sometimes nimrod, view there is one (and more, I'm sure, but this one I prefer to hold) set of reasons for nothing being heard, and no S9s being built. If the rumors of an "A7" are founded in something, then it is probably in a performance/power/cost range that would put it hands down over the S9. If I were building S9s, I'd hold off on new batches if I had reason to believe I really needed an S10 instead...I'd be putting my resources into that S10.

Anyway...assuming the rumors are not rumors...I think we'll know with certainty one way or the other by 1 Oct. Dunno why that date particularly, but it seems about as long as a company might be able to reasonably keep a secret like that...if it's a true thing.

 Cool
