2961  Economy / Economics / Re: Why criminals prefer cash (Fiat) on top of crypto? on: September 26, 2020, 04:46:07 PM
<snip>
The transactions for cryptocurrencies are always traceable. In the first place, it should always be because for example, bitcoin always shows the blockchain, this is one of it's characteristics of being transparent.
The privacy of every transaction depends only to you, you can minimize the privacy to zero or you can maximize it to 100.

From my point of view, Criminals prefer cash or fiat currency instead of bitcoin because fiat is a medium of exchange or used as a payment that they can't merely spend bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies to buy the things that they wanted.
<snip>
Actually if they will be using fiat currencies, if they had to many of it, it is harder to store that makes it to be spotted. Maybe if the fiat that the OP is referring is a fiat that is cryptobased (a crypto that backed up by fiat currenciy).

The only reason that I can think why they would choose fiat(which most are stable) is because it is less prone to value changed. Crypto such as bitcoin is very volatile, in my opnion, probably they are afraid the money that they got from illegal activities would just lose it's value. They want to guarantee that they got a good value.

2967  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why people run away from trading!!! on: September 25, 2020, 01:06:34 PM
People not only run away from trading but they also run away from crypto. Because they loss so much. The main reason for this is the crypto currency exchanges. Even the top crypto exchanges are so greedy like binance. They keep listing new coin without proper invitations and create pump and dump. And trader lost their whole fund. This kind of activities giving negative impact on whole crypto market.
Hey, please give some concrete evidences maybe some articles or photos that may support your claim.
I've heard that there are some history of pump and dumps that happened on binance, but I did not found any good proof about it.
I do know some exchanges that supports pump and dump scheme, I think everyone knows it already, but I won't say it coz we are not in the scam accusation board.
Pump and dump schemes on exchanges should be fully eradicated to protect investors from such fraud.

Recently, any transactions on the Ethereum network have a very high cost and I cannot trade those tokens that I used to trade until recently.
<snip>
I'm not well familiar on Ethereum, but does even the trading fees went high recently because of the hype on DeFi?
I thought it was only for the gAs which reached new ATH.  Undecided

those who play and then bet on animals fights can be called as mentally ill persons and should have a proper treatment.
<snip>
<snip>
They're parents must be the one who needs to answer this to the authority as teens cannot be put in Jail.
Spiders are never been an insect lol. Insects mostly do have wings, on the otherhand, spiders do not have any, and are 8-legged animals, they are called arachnids.
Honestly, I've been also playing that spider fights when I was an elementary student.
But there are law that are against it, so better to follow the law. That's why spider betting is an issue, we should not force any animals to fight each other.
But actually, it's the parents responsibility to put their children away from gambling, unfortunately, some of them just make them much near into it, plus it's pandemic they must stay on their homes.

@MFahad, how did you say that they are mentally ill persons, and are needed to take proper treatment? Smiley

For both I guess? But it's for the members first.
The first thing who benefits are those members that asks, guest are just a later benefitiaries of the idea or anything that can be found here.
Good discusssions will surely attract guests and new members to join us here, and that sounds good, am I right?

This forum should be measured by the innovation it encourages, not the # of posters.
I<snip>
This is quantity vs quality, but it does not really matter(for me), but if we have more quality members that came here, it's a good thing for Bitcointalk.
On the otherside, if more spammers came, it's negative, but wouldn't be a big impact because there are fixed guidelines and rules that fights againts spammers.

For me, the Crash gambling game is a little late when I click BET, I don't know what happened to me even though the internet condition is good, is there the same thing?

Sometimes the rocket doesn't show up and only the number 1, xx only, but I've tried several times it's still the same?
<snip>
In my case for some time, my slowpoke internet causes me to not get my profit on crash, causing me to lose the round.
For yours, it's probably because of the browser that you are using. Try restarting your browser, or clear it's cache.
Maybe it's has already a lot of files on it. Also if that kind of problem still persists, try removing unnecessary extentions.
You can also try using other browsers, that will surely solve your problem.

After asking him severally without an answer, he called me one day and opened up to me that he feels like he's loosing his mind, i asked him how, he said he's addicted to gambling, betting on football, horse and dog races, he siad that he doesn't keep money without ending up gambling with it, that the temptation is just irresistible, it has gotten so bad that when ever he's out of cash to play, is either he ask me to lend him or he goes and withdraw money from his wife's account without her permission, the woman complained and complained, got tired, took their only son and left him alone.
<snip>
He needs help, I know some big celebrities on our country that does the same thing, they were addicted on gambling and they need to be rehabilated to help them cope with their addiction in gambling.
He can do it himself I think without going on rehab centers, help him wonder around away from any money related thingy.
Relaxation will help, his mind need to rest, put his attention away from gambling, maybe you can try going into outing, like going out for hiking.

Some negative complaints can be seen in some gambling site reviews.
<snip>
After reading the reviews on different websites, it really seems to me that most of those who gaved very positive feedbacks are unreal.
They're totatlly short and the reviews doesn't really looked like a good positive one.
Most complaints are regarding the withdrawal process, which take a lot of time, so definitely it's hard to make withdrawals from this casino, since they need to verify you first before getting your money.
I agree, the UI is good, it's pretty attracting, but be more cautious.

Whenever i tried to participate, i wouldn't even make top 10.
<snip>
There is no individual user with nickname Ghost. Actually they are hidden players. By enabling ghost mode you can hide your username in the games and race. <snip>
That's right, it's a privacy feature of tower bet. In my opinion it's cool to see the nickname "ghost" on the wager details in the lower part of the website.
It's gonna be much better if it's asynchronously updating (dynamic), which reloading the page isn't be a need.

I missed the race, 'gonna be there soon.

Bitcointalk were not founded to be a source of income or to be as financial institute, rather, is a platform where bitcoin enthusiasts can exchange ideas regarding bitcoin.
That is why this forum is has a name of Bitcointalk. Bitcoin, and talk, it's too obvious I guess. Undecided So that's the main reason. Community and development. Give and take ideas.
The income you might get here from your hardwork is just another thing. Since this is a community, it's not surprising that there are works eligible for some members.

It's pretty hard to win on this kind of prediction, but I'll give it a shot!

TOTAL SCORE
What do you mean by total score? Do you mean the final score? (e.g. 98-90) OR the combination/total of the final score? (e.g. 98+90= 188)
2980  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Problem Gambling in the wake of covid-19 on: September 22, 2020, 04:48:22 PM
<snip>
Not all gamblers are losers, in fact other gamblers consider this as another source of income. <snip>
That's right, it's the choice of anyone if he wanted to make himself more in-touched with gambling.
We don't need to say to those people who wanted to to gamble their money to stop and be more productive or do different stuff other than that.
In fact, it's the sole resposibility of the player to be much disciplined enough on gambling.

Gambling may be source of income too, but this is not always the case for everyone. Some gamblers are way too good on gambling, they're even called professionals, on the otherhand, some are just poor into it, so better to think twice before spending too much time and money into it, be diciplined enough specially in this time of pandemic that you surely need money.
