2961  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Grin | PoW Mining | Electronic transactions for all. Community driven. on: November 21, 2019, 04:14:41 AM
Grin coin is one of limited altcoins that caught attention of theymos who integrated the second option to buy the forum's Coppermembership.
Days ago, he stated his opinion on the potential of development in a very long term aspect. The Grin coin rallied impressively and I congratulated for guys whom bought below 10k satoshis weeks ago.

Grin coin has lots of room for developments and growths.
AFAIK, that medium post is nothing new.

Base mimblewimble isn't really designed to be a "black box of reliable anonymity" in the way that Monero or Wasabi-CoinJoins are, where connections are hard-broken. It's more of a framework on which you could build solid anonymity using techniques that have largely not yet been perfected, plus major scaling benefits. Monero = CT + stealth addresses + ring signatures. Grin = CT + "stealth addresses" + mimblewimble. Because grin replaces ring signatures with mimblewimble, its privacy is less reliable than Monero's. Probably the grin developers have tried to make their mimblewimble transaction aggregation methods good, but I currently wouldn't put much faith in it, and IMO it'll take many years of research to get something really solid. That said, CT + stealth addresses offer a certain base level of privacy, and grin's method of handling stealth addresses (using an interactive protocol, exchanging "slates") is both more scalable than Monero and probably more private.

If your goal is to mix coins, grin is definitely not for you right now, and it may never be. Monero's goal is maximal privacy, regardless of the cost. Grin's goal is excellent privacy, consistent with scaling.
2962  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.10.0 on: November 21, 2019, 04:09:26 AM
yes that's what makes me wonder until now, they really are not too active in developing something for the dogecoin project, but they have a large community that is still there for them so that their existence is still needed today and is still being traded, until now I still holds some dogecoin for the long term
There is nothing to worry about Dogecoin that is always one of the best assets you should include in your portfolio, especially the part for long-term investment. I don't say you have to hold it for years because it is unwisely. Hold it and wait for chances to take profits. After profit taking at highs, it will be time for you to wisely and patiently to wait and buy it back at cheaper price on market.
2963  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Posting an image on: November 21, 2019, 03:55:34 AM
When you post your images (for your posts), you have to consider to use two options to adjust your images. It is a not a must thing for all images but it is especially helpful if your images are too large:
- Width: to restrict your image width, and is helpful if you want to post multiple images in one horizontal line.
- Height: it is very useful if you want to post images in different lines and will help to save bandwith while loading pages.
You can combine them or use one of them to bring more comfortable experience for yourself and for others.

Read complaints on posts or quotes with images to know what you should do.

2964  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] Roobet.com Signature Campaign | The Honest Online Casino | Full Members+ on: November 16, 2019, 10:08:53 PM
Hello @Hhampuz,

I have a question, is it possible to update my initial posts number ?

Indeed, during the week, many of my old posts were deleted / merged, breaking my initial post number Undecided
Other participants in the campaign gave you right answers that the manager counts posts eligible based on publishing dates of your posts and your post quality of course. The start postcount of each week in the spreadsheet is only a reference number. You don't have to worry about that.

Anyway, I think it is better if you shoot the manager with PM (as guided in the previous page) with such problem rather than clog the thread. My few cents to contribute.
As always, if there's any questions or concerns, send me a PM and I'll respond asap.
2965  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | The Honest Online Casino | Hop In On The Action 🦘 on: November 16, 2019, 10:05:40 PM
However, as a lazy dude, I often use the "copy button" to copy the deposit address, not by dragging my palm and click CTRL+C then CTRL+V, that burns too many calories. Grin The deposit was fast though.
Yeap, Copy button is a very fundamental feature, I agreed with your suggestion. There are risks of attacks from malwares on Clipboard when people using Copy button if their devices inflected. Hence, it is more safely for them and their funds if they spend a little of seconds to recheck addresses before actually click to move their coins from address to address.

7 out of 7 seems to be a challenge that nobody has figured out yet, has anyone managed to get 7 out of 7 before?
It's life. More challenging, higher rewards for winners. If everyone can predict correctly, the net rewards for winners will be low and sometimes they have to split rewards in between. I don't think winners want to see rewards splitted solely because rules are too easy and so many people can predict correctly.

Challenging make sense to make sure rewards for winners are high enough and stimulate their emotions that is basic from casinos.
If I remember correctly there was one user who was really unlucky a few weeks ago. He got 5/7 and listen to this. He predicts Rashford to score and Rashford had a penalty that he missed. He also predicted Harry Kane to score and Kane did. But his goal was ruled out for an offside. I remember reading that the offside decision was wrong. Someone made a post about it here.
He was very unlucky if what you told us is true.
2967  Economy / Gambling / Re: 💥 💥 💥 VipCoin Casino 💥 💥 💥 THE NEWEST CRYPTO CASINO IS OUT NOW 🎊 on: November 15, 2019, 06:51:35 PM
▪️ 40% net revenue
Does the net revenue is 40% for affliators or it is a split 20% and 20% between affliators and new users they successfully invited to use the VipCoin Casino?

On some exchanges, there are options to split between affiliators and new invited users or affilators can choose to hold all affliation commissions for themselves.
2968  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Protect your personal computer/smartphone - Save yours coins from hacking! on: November 15, 2019, 03:19:55 PM
This is one of way to be safe in crypto.

Keep devices clean and prevent threats to attack or compromise devices. It is security.

What listed in OP are support tools to increase security but the importance of being carefully on the Internet is key. Don't click on strange links (invitation, sites, whatever); don't download and install strange things; don't install wallets without verification. Tools can not protect us from all dangerous threats on the Internet. If we are careless, we will be caught by hackers someday.

Additionally, the privacy is important too. Some crypto investors carelessly do KYCs for shit bounties or unknowingly disclose their personal identities over the Internet, on third-party sites. They don't know that losing privacy potentially result in losses too.

I meant there are two big things for crypto investors: security and privacy. They have to finish required things to protect their security and privacy concurrently.

Are there typos with results of the Hallowin-Leader board? Total prize pool is $5000 but the first winners: a0e2b1f03d, won 114.3917 BTC, and the last winner (7c1164764c) won 1.3901 BTC. Results look incorrect.

Thank you, stompix. I added a new section, for listing scam Youtube channels. Hope that the list will be helpful for crypto communities and partially help them to be less exposed to scammers and reduce their odds of being scammed.
2973  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Scammers on Youtube. Don't fall into this scam trap and lose money, guys on: November 14, 2019, 07:13:30 AM
I don't track the channel recent days, since the day I made last post in the topic (7 days) but today I rechecked it and I have a very good news for you.
That scam channel has no longer exist: https://www.youtube.com/user/thehotgeek
It is likely Youtube took action and delete that channel already. Scammers will come back with new channels and apply same methods or adjusted ones so I would like to see you reports on Scam Youtube channels, here, when you find them. Your reports (to Youtube and to my topic) make a lot of sense for crypto communities.

I found that topic, today too: {Warning}:Please stay away from this Youtube Channel

Updated OP with a new section for list of scam Youtube channels. Please check and report them.
2974  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: {Warning}:Please stay away from this Youtube Channel on: November 14, 2019, 07:11:14 AM
Thank you for collecting Youtube channels from scammers. I probably miss your Warning topics so please next times when you make new threads, can you spend seconds to leave a reply in my topic: Scammers on Youtube. Don't fall into this scam trap and lose money, guys.

That channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/thehotgeek, mentioned in my topic, and reported by lots of people, already been locked/ deleted by Youtube. I hope this channel will get same ending soon.
2975  Other / Meta / Re: Self-made Legendary Observer - first legendaries after the merit system. on: November 12, 2019, 04:13:25 PM
Of course, they are quality posters and I don't doubt that and I also don't doubt DS's selection criteria. Those participants would not have got accepted in the first place if they weren't quality posters. My point was different, it's something like psychological I guess if I used the correct word. Chipmixer participants earn more merits than any other campaign participants.
It is clearer with your explanation. Previously, it is easily to infer your previous post in the way that users will earn merits faster after becoming Chipmixer's participants. I could be wrong in the way I inferred your previous post but I don't think I inferred it inappropriately.

People send merits to quality posts which deserve merits not because of posters wear ChipMixer signature. I (and others) can wear ChipMixer signature too but it does not help me earning merits faster. Different classes of users have different ability and speed of merit earning.

Anyway, thanks for the explanation and I eventually understood what you wanted to point out.

In other aspect, I agree that becoming ChipMixer's participants require them to maintain their post-quality as stably high as possible. Somehow it passively increases ChipMixer's participants' post quality over time but the process is very difficult to realize shortly.
2976  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XLM] Stellar - Decentralized trading platform on: November 12, 2019, 03:54:30 PM
A few hours ago, Stellar rocketed and hit 1000 satoshis (in fact the coin reached 1049 satoshis on Poloniex) for the first time since July 2019. After five months, Stellar has come back to 1000 satoshis price level. The important point now is how Stellar maintains its price above 1000 satoshis in next few weeks.
2977  Other / Meta / Re: Self-made Legendary Observer - first legendaries after the merit system. on: November 12, 2019, 03:20:43 PM
I also read all posts from all Chipmixer participants (including you) because Chipmixer participants are considered to be the best posters. Chipmixer signature is like a batch now and helps in earning merits faster, so to ranking...
The first part is right but the second part is wrong. Applicants of ChipMixer must be very good posters to be accepted as participants. I meant they have to be very qualifying before getting acceptance from the manager of ChipMixer (DarkStar_) so they do have very good ability to earn merits.

I don't think the same user will earn more merits in the same period simply because becoming ChipMixer's participant and wearing ChipMixer signature.

There is one exception for extremely high trusted users but in such cases applicants suggested by manager to apply through PMs, not in the topic.

Note: If the campaign is full, but you are a very trusted member of the community, feel free to apply. I recommend PMing me to get a faster response. Please explicitly state that you are applying for an exception. Simply being DT1 is not enough.

EDIT; Please PM me on discord, not here. My name there is Hhampuz as well.
Discord has so many scammers and they can fake your username. I propose you to give us your username (we already know) and your unique user ID - multi-digit ID number - that is very different than user ID.
Scammers can fake your user name and your user ID but they can not fake your unique user ID.
To see unique user ID, people have to turn ON the Developer mode: Settings - Apperance - Developer Mode

For people who have not yet known about this, please see:
