I have 2 S3+ both overclock, I would like to know since the difficulty just drop and it looks that it is going to drop again, is there any chance (luck) that I will find a block whit those S3+ ?
There is always a chance of finding a block no matter how low your hashrate is and no matter how high the diff is. It's just that that chance gets smaller and smaller. You can calculate your chances here: http://tradebtc.net/bitcalc.phpFor example, 350GH has a 1 in 22,500 chance per day of finding a block at current difficulty. Thanks so much for the link and info -ck. surprisingly not bad odds for an s3's approx power. 1/22.5k is actually far higher odds then i thought, I was thinking more like real lottery lol ... like 1/1Million or Billion. If it were impossible, then no one would be doing it... I even have a few 300MH miners on solo pool since they use so little power people just set them up and forget about them for months.

Modern Bitcoin mining is very different than years ago.
All pools use SPV mining. This means miner believes a new block header is valid and mine upon it.
This reduces orphan risk. During the period a whole block transactions are buffered, the receiver mines an empty block.
Why empty block? To avoid accidental double spend /double confirm. Double spend could cause the miner to lose funds from the reward due to block becoming invalid.
The block size is not as relevant anymore, but orphan risk is still present during the one second or so latency window after mining a block.
Horse shit. Only Chinese pools use SPV mining. The alleged benefits you list there are no more than propaganda. Other pools get by fine with full verification of blocks and transactions on new block generation without delays getting work out to miners, nor an increase in orphans.

I was just looking for instructions on how to do that.
I'd have to search the forums myself for that actually since I don't have them written down anywhere and don't have an S5 any more. You can start by searching for posts on this or the p2pool thread based on the date on the S5 binary there I guess.

can someone do a tutorial on how to do s7 cgminer update
Unfortunately the S7 has nothing to do with the official cgminer which this thread is about so you'll have to seek help from bitmain or more likely rely on the community of users of bitmain hardware on other threads. my mistake i was looking for cgminer instructions on the s5 s7 was on my mind too lol Same goes for S5. ok i was just wondering why this link exists then. http://ck.kolivas.org/apps/cgminer/antminer/s5/That's just a binary which you're welcome to upload to the S5 and better than bitmain's default one, having fixed a few glaring problems, but there's no comprehensive rewrite of the code like there was for S1-S3 by Kano.

There are some major issues at the moment on the server. As always, make sure you have a backup pool set up. If you have any rentals directed here that you can interrupt, stop them now.

It's the minimum difficulty shares of work that will be sent to workers.
So the difficuly is ~158B. If I raise the mindiff in ckpool is there any benfit towards increasing the likelihood of mining a block? Why is the mindiff set to 1 is that only for the purpose of payment for shared pools? Sorry if I am lost on this. This is a fundamental truth that everyone needs to understand: Nothing you do makes your likelihood of mining a block higher except for increasing your hashrate. Diff is just feedback for miners. Diff 1 is suitable feedback for only the very lowest speed mining hardware (such as the old ASICminer usb sticks).
