Happy halving everyone. The blocks are currently over 20BTC in fees, this is the perfect time to be mining solo whilst this wasted money is on the table from the spammers.
i almost turned on my single asic the night of the halving, but i ended up not getting around to it. i was wondering if small home miners are still finding the occasional block as they used to. does anyone know? Yes but it's extremely rare. Considering people only had to turn on all their old inefficient miners just for a day at a chance at the insanely profitable blocks would have been worth it, but that craziness is now over.

Another year is up for the hosting fees on the pool.
For those that were around during the last halving, you may remember that solo pool was solving so few blocks at the time that the pool fees were increased across the halving to make up for how little the pool was earning beyond covering fees. Additionally, pool hosting costs on the revamp of the pool were covered by the community to encourage me to keep the pool running for the next 2 years.
I'm pleased to say that the pool has solved so many blocks that once again there will be no need for the community to fund the hosting costs. In addition the value of bitcoin and the number of blocks solved means the fee will also remain static at 2% across the halving.
Mine on, and here's hoping for one more 6.25 BTC block before the halving.

@ck Just wondering, how difficult would it be to add a "Best Share Today" field in your pool output data I know its largely meaningless data, but IMHO it'd be a nice to have if possible. Thank you. Definitely not worth the effort, and timezones would screw it up anyway. {"runtime": 26474664, "lastupdate": 1712918241, "Users": 5630, "Workers": 12018, "Idle": 4448, "Disconnected": 1257} {"hashrate1m": "7.25E", "hashrate5m": "6.86E", "hashrate15m": "6.13E", "hashrate1hr": "3.1E", "hashrate6hr": "753P", "hashrate1d": "346P", "hashrate7d": "156P"} {"diff": 28.8, "accepted": 24912400579970, "rejected": 298996385224, "bestshare": 16500002213020, "SPS1m": 989.0, "SPS5m": 961.0, "SPS15m": 956.0, "SPS1h": 956.0}
Uhhh thats a lot.
Okay that's a new record high. It's almost like someone did it just to get a new high after I said 3.6 was the record. Didn't last long though. I know Swan Bitcoin have about 7.5EH so it might have been them.

Another MEGA HALVING 1EHs / 1000 PHs block party before the Halving?! Some people have asked me if I would organize a mega run, they would be there. It's the last chance to get 6,x BTC before the halving. Halving is in about 8 days. So there is still time to organize one. If you would participate and could send your coins within 3 days, please don't send any coins, just let me know how much you would put in the pot. Then I'll add up how much we would get together.
I'll post this on my social media account as well if you like for more reach. Many seemed curious.

Thanks for the details Willi, do you think you'll do another Mega-run again? Maybe push for 5E hash rate for 24 hours, if the statistics are true at that rate you should be guaranteed a block. No idea how much it would cost to hire 5E for a day, maybe its just too expensive. Unfortunately there is no such thing as being guaranteed of a block. Renting that much hashrate would cost more than one block reward, so you'd have to be hoping for 2 or more blocks. The odds are always stacked against you, but that's how gambling is.

Custom Bitcoin daemon on the pool updated to v26.0, including v2 transport support.
Mine on!

Mega Halving Blockparty is over, but no block cracked.
Never seen such a high hashrate on the Ckpool. It was great fun to organize it, but unfortunately it wasn't enough to get a block. Today we continue with the block party 63 with 25PHs.
Bad luck guys, shame you didn't hit one. There was a day ckpool hit over 3EH, something like 3.6 if I recall correctly. I think it was some large miner failover as it didn't last very long.

It is not clear they were definitely renting hashrate, but had a lot of hashrate nonetheless.

Because it solves blocks so rarely it is below the threshold of their statistics.

A couple of days ago one of my miners state that it found btc block when solomining on ckpool.org, but no transaction was never made to my wallet. My miner is a bitmain antminer s17e. Can someone explain to me what FindBlocks in the status page of the miners actually means? Parently it doesn't mean that the miner found a block. And how can I see more information about the blocks that the miner claim to find? /okordal
Bitmain's block solve detection is notoriously broken at certain diffs. The best share the pool has found since the last block is 56.1 trillion and current diff is 83.1 trillion so no block has been solved.

Hi all.
Emergency maintenance will be performed by the hosting provider from April 3rd, 2024 at 11:00 UTC for 24 hours. Whilst no interruption to the server is anticipated, it would be prudent to avoid performing any extra hashrate during this time in case of connectivity issues.

Difficulty rose to a new all time high of 83.9 trillion. Good luck all solo miners, hope you can nab one before the halving.
I have 65 devices in different locations. With 7 ph power. Which port should I set? 4334 or 3333? 3333.

I have almost 4 Terahash of Shares sent to the pool:
"shares": 3587992917136,
And my best Share is this one:
"bestshare": 284416681640,929, "bestever": 1952283518585,
I know it is chance and luck but with 1.56 Perahash running 24 hours and having such a low Bestshare gives me the impression that maybe the latency I have may prevent me to solve a block as it exceeds 100msl.
What do you more experienced users think?
Latency has absolutely no effect on the magnitude of your best shares, it's only about risk of orphaning and amount of rejected shares. Your ping times are fine.

Hello. Gentlemen, I have a question. Will the mining difficulty increase after the BTC halving? Will there be no point in mining solo for small miners?
Depends entirely on price action, and there is every reason to believe the price will keep going up. As for there being no point mining solo for small miners - there's no "point" mining solo now either unless you see it as a lottery, and in that regard it will still be a lottery afterwards, just with worse rewards. The reward won't be half though since fees will be amounting to about 10% by then.

I am new here, I have an error code running ckproxy when i run it i get this
WARNING: Starting solo code in non-solo mode! Non solo mining must have a btcaddress in config, aborting!
anyone have any ideas?
I haven't updated the proxy code in the solo branch. The code in the poorly named "defunct" branch has the working proxy code, which I should rename.
