I saw another thread talking about PCGS. PCGS Paris have said if we get them to them, they would do the export / re-import to get them graded with their US counterparts. However, they say 3-4 months turnaround!
Personally, I'd do this Most coin grading companies let you put your put your own value on the forms for insurance reasons, but I'm not familiar with PCGS yet! Yes, the turnaround sucks, but damn, those kinds of coins deserve a slab IMO, plus with PCGS you'll have more options with REAL auction places nowadays & in the future, like Stacks & bowers etc Thanks, I'm tending to think the same way. In fact, if we'd done this when I was talking to PCGS Paris in March, we'd be half way there by now It's interesting about the ICG v. PCGS thing because from a buyer perspective, given we know they have an established expertise in physical crypto, I'd be more comfortable buying ICG-graded coins. But from a seller perspective, if it's PCGS-graded coins that are drawing the customers, then that's what makes most sense to get done (for those with the time to wait) - unless or until they let a fake or tampered coin through unnoticed! Yeah, agreed that PCGS gets the draw as the standard for numismatic grading, but ICG has definitely been getting some love also. They have had 5 coins (2x Casascius / 2x Lealana / 1x BTCC) so far in the Stacks and Bowers auctions: https://auctions.stacksbowers.com/lots/view/3-WWDXJ/redeemed-2013-casascius-05-bitcoin-btc-firstbits-12cgaku-series-2-brass-254-mm-ms-64-icghttps://auctions.stacksbowers.com/lots/view/3-WWE0W/unfunded-2012-casascius-bitnickel-5-bitcoin-btc-series-1-and-series-2-type-nickel-brass-285-mm-ms-67-icghttps://auctions.stacksbowers.com/lots/view/3-WWE3Q/2013-lealana-1-litecoin-ltc-loaded-firstbits-ln8rtx3j-serial-no-7451-black-address-serialized-nickel-brass-30-mm-ms-66-icghttps://auctions.stacksbowers.com/lots/view/3-WWE41/2013-lealana-1-litecoin-ltc-loaded-firstbits-lqjng73v-serial-no-7379-green-address-serialized-nickel-brass-30-mm-ms-67-icghttps://auctions.stacksbowers.com/lots/view/3-WWE17/2016-btcc-5k-bits-poker-chip-0005-bitcoin-btc-loaded-firstbits-1dizuzqv-serial-no-e00639-series-c-clay-composite-39-mm-genuAnd from what I have been told there are supposed to be a few more in upcoming auctions Here's a link to all the cryptocurrency coins they have auctioned so far: https://archive.stacksbowers.com/?q=2901d231-3f1b-452c-b040-6502b63baf88

Not sure if raising this thread from the almost-dead is a valid option. - What's the correct forum etiquette in this case - better to create a new topic? I just thought by posting here I don't have to include links etc to the topic at hand.
So... Was just wondering what happened to the remaning (unsold?) serials of this fantastic coin set - does anyone know?
And while I am at it, any chance some new (Bitcoin themed?) art-project-coin will be coming from your side in the foreseeable future, Mr Natty?
All unsold sets were returned to the maker. Beyond that, I do not know what they did with them.

The worst part is one of these beauties was just peeled less than 10 days ago.... https://casasciustracker.comHad they only known about this forum im sure a deal could have been worked out. But in the same vein that just makes whomever owns one that much rarer. Good luck and I hope you find a seller Blu. And as always OG...gorgeous set you have there. Cheers, iBHK8 agreed but it's no longer a no brainer as the work involved to securely facilitate the transaction, whether through escrow or not, is non-trivial and i can see most people not wanting to risk 300k to save even 30k. esp with standard mail insurance covereage not even approaching that level. postal insurance does not cover digital values

I sent 6 coins to them in Feb. I still haven't received them back, moving very slow.
Steeley
I'm curious, do you trust when they are high value coins? I have a couple but I haven't had the courage to send them Might be worth calling them and asking if in-person drop off/pick-up are available From what I know most/all of them also offer 1/same day grading for this purpose. ANACS and ICG both offer walk in service if you let them know before hand. Hi,MJ which one do you think is a better choice for grading cryptocurrency coins, the PCGS,ANACS or ICG. it is really problem for the shipping, especially the international shipping, there are still some risk to be considered. This isn't directed to me, but I sense that ICG is the gold standard these days. I've had very positive experiences with them. Their submission process is straightforward, customer service good, and they have in-house crypto experts to validate the coins. They do and I have actually helped them once or twice when certain coins come in ANACS no longer grades cryptocurrency themed coins/tokens, but still available for normal numismatic coins PCGS has just started grading our coins and seems limited right now to larger makers like Casascius, Lealana, BTCC... but definitely hope the expand Yes, always a risk when shipping... even with this pullback to 2017 prices, still a small price to pay for a plane ticket and in-person grading versus worrying about a lost coin in the mail And now with many countries easing the vaccination requirements, will make it better for certain collectors
