2961  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Poloniex Lending Bot Service on: September 10, 2017, 01:55:36 PM

Hi. It looks like a really nice site, but im not receiving any email to activate my account.
can u please help?

If you already had an account with the old web page, you just need to sign in. The sign in can be found by clicking on the upper left hand corner. A couple of days ago, I used register, and waited for an e-mail, and it never came. Then i figured out that I could just sign in.
If you truly are new. You might want to try e-mailing them at support@aivren.com.

Any news on the re-branding/re-design of the Poloniex Lending Bot site? Is this genuine or has the domain been bought?

https://www.poloniexlendingbot.com/

redirects to ->

https://aivren.com/

Seems genuine to me. I logged in and they have all the same settings and the bot seems to still be working on the Poloniex side.

Pro tip - tonight is last night for 0.13s bitcoin cash,

you buy it for 0.13s? you know that it's at 0.12499 and direction down?  Grin Grin Grin

Where's the bargain? Nothing like a good arb opportunity.
bone m8, when you arb, do you already have funds spread across exchanges?
or do you send coin from your wallet? what coin do you send?

Actually, I am a minnow. I don't have much to spread around. Cryptocurrency is only a hobby for me. It is probably best to arb by having both coins on both exchanges and have a bot do it for you. If I wanted to arb, I have  some BTC satoshis on a few exchanges. I would have to then hope that the bargain BCH was on one of those exchanges and then move the BCH to the exchange paying the premium. Unfortunately, the arb opportunity may be gone by the time the BCH arrives. It appears the bargain BCH is on Huboi. I'll pass.

Quick question....just came across this coin and would like to know-

1) If it is worth investing it's masternode?
2) How much coins we can earn per day? Ann, says 20%, would it be 20% of the block reward?
3) Is MN for this works on hot and cold wallet concept? If yes, where can I get the setup instructions?

It's 20% of mining reward.

Are high fees a part of this healthy network dynamic from which perspective you have declared the hash/capability of said mystery miners to be suspect?

Do you support or have interest in low fees on the (shorter) SegWit chain?  For anyone, I would be curious to know your interest on high vs low fees.

Please disclose for all to see.

I just got away with moving 1.5 BTC for a little over 27000 sats on the other chain, and it was confirmed the very next block. (I probably overpaid.)If you are paying more than that on the other chain, at this time, you either are not paying attention or are moving the coins away from a third party who hasn't bothered adjusting the fee they charge you to withdraw.

Look at this transaction that just went through on the other chain. 192 sats https://blockchain.info/tx/11f2d056d58469066b188fd6da7435cfa6cb9b13804d88305fb93c4c18adb8d2

Plenty of other cheap transactions went through on this block as well. https://blockchain.info/block/0000000000000000012f7de1eeca7226a73914a36f98e4ae58d79772248475ac

it's probably embarrassment

ha ha ha, very creative indeed!
BTW, I love both my BTC and my ALTs.
It is like loving two babes at the same time..  Kiss Kiss

I must be a strange variant of a Bitcoin Maximalist with bearish tendencies. I have about the same attitude toward all those other coins as indicated in the meme. Grin

Who it's healthy for simply a matter of perspective.

The two magical mystery miners could easily implement a double spend attack, if they wanted. We are all trusting that they will behave with everyone's best interest. With the coins the magical mystery miners now hold, they could devastate an exchange that got on their bad side with a double spend attack. I guess this is healthy if you happen to be one of the magical mystery miners.
2969  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Pro on-chain scaling - Cheaper fees on: September 09, 2017, 07:22:26 PM
I'm sure they're well aware that when the EDA kicked in that the miners who seek profit (which of them do not?) would switch chains, this isn't an oversight but implemented as designed and I think the straddling of the profit parity shows that it has been successful. For it to have not been a success would mean it would have fell flat, or failed to move up at all.

As for the needed devoted miners you speak of, well, I point to my previous post, they are devoted to what, to profits, and when there's a single coin that will deliver these profits this is where you will find their devotion allocated. Roger has alluded to this in many of his interviews, what is happening is what these guys have been laying out but the only ones to see its possibility are those remaining objective and not holding onto some digital coin like it's some deity.

The developers should have just went with merged mining. Then you would have plenty of miners who would mine this coin no matter what, since it will be all gravy. Also, the straddling of the profit parity is being controlled by the magical mystery miners and BTC.TOP. These three entities can adjust their hash at will to implement an EDA or not. This is just not very healthy network dynamics at all.

Let's first ask if BCC needed these "vulture miners" to stay afloat amidst all of the "it's falling" FUD?

Then let's ask ourselves "does winding-coils really base his premise on the idea that vulture miners will save this alt coin" because if you think I'm banking on "vulture miners" then either you have failed to have been paying attention (not likely as you just replied to me) or you are refusing to accept that you are hoping I am banking on these vulture miners and that you're hoping in some way that the "vulture miners" can do some damage to BCC.

You think riding the profit parity is by accident? And if not by coincidence, does that suggest one (or many collectively) has the power to manipulate in a way to hover around that.. hmm.

This coin needs to attract a more diverse crowd of devoted miners. Something it has failed to do. Sorry, but all one needs to do is go to a block explorer and find that a lion's share of the hash is from the magical mystery miner(s) controlling 1BgatB78WrFLdCgnPnBqiDcNFFA46jkPZe and 17Wk4GPKw9nZ9PbspzaxN3fv1L2m9NA9dg private keys at the moment. Neither of these addresses seem to be associated with a pubic pool, since you would expect at least some of these coins to be spent paying out miners. Neither address has "spent" coins. It is not very healthy for a network to be relying on only 2 miners having almost 2/3 of the hash rate.
And about the argument, "well BTC was centralized back in 2009 and 2010, when it first started;" that really isn't a good excuse. Very few knew about BTC back then, but plenty of people all well aware of Bitcoin Cash now. If they were not aware, you wouldn't have the problem of the vulture miners.
Quite frankly, the Bitcoin Cash developers could have solved this problem of not miner hoping by doing merged mining like Namecoin did. However, they went with the EDA. It's abundantly obvious they chose the EDA method to try and disrupt the hashrate of the other chain. But now they realized that when they did this, the vulture miners caused the blocks to fly by. This is not good in the long run since it hastens the date of the next halving.

Nothing to say about this "shitty alt coin" giving Segwit a run for its money in profitability?
http://fork.lol/

No EDA ma!!  Grin

You guys are PRAYING that BCC doesn't see a pump. I'm well hedged and win either way, this isn't religion to me.  Undecided

I'd love to see BCC get a substantial pump, as well as the other vulture miners. Since my miners are obsolete, I have to wait for a substantial pump to make it worth renting hash. Please do pump, sky high. Us vulture miners are have been circling around, patiently waiting for quite some time. BTW, if you think most of the vulture miners are going to mine to HODL Bitcoin Cash, if and when the opportunity comes up, you are delusional.  Grin Also, if you think that the vulture miners are going to stick around long after the profitability goes back down, you're delusional.

OK, it's getting depressive taking a bullish aspect. So now I am going to switch to bearish, again. So were can I participate in margin shorting BTC vs fiat, as an American? I would prefer an easy verification process.

You'll be in time to short the bottom.  You know somebody's gotta do it.  Good on ya  Wink

Yeah.. .Bones261.. you talk about not having very many bitcoins, and if you are making moves like this (planning to short), you are setting yourself up for decent odds of reducing your bitcoin holdings further

There are strategies that consistently work with bitcoin, and margin betting is not one of them.

After a good night's sleep, I decided not to bother. I guess that I'll just continue to have a small portion of my holdings participate in Margin Lending on Polo. Unfortunately, the online bot that I was using recently changed their web address, and appears to be malfunctioning, so I have to manually do it. What a pain.

Who are these guys?
What is the Biosafety Clearinghouse ( ill read up in detail ltr, if you guys think its important )

It's a flaw in google translate. BCH is abbreviation for Biosaftey ClearingHouse too..

Thanks for all the tips. I guess the best option is to continue to HODL my meager stash and consider my options tomorrow after a full night of rest. Maybe I'll lurk in the altcoin ANN thread to see if there is anything new and interesting to consider mining or buying hash to mine. However, I doubt it.

Well, I'm still trying to research which exchange I can participate, as a US citizen, in Margin trading for BTC-USD pair. Kraken seems possible. But I'm so ambivalent, I'm not sure that I want to take the steps to register for yet another exchange. My Keepass is getting to full.  Cheesy

Polo? They have margin. I always felt vulnerable there with the limited withdraws and downtime with each buy-able crash.
I was looking for margin trading on BTC-USD trading pair. Not possible on Polo. I don't want to "short" BTC by going long on bullshit. Yes, I know that USD is bullshit too, but at least the currencies generated by Proof of Debt still have widespread merchant acceptance, at the moment.

GDAX (coinbase) has margin trading.

I hardly am anywhere close to being considered an Eligible Contract Participant. Not by a long shot. Not an option for this minnow.

and now you decide what is the "vision" bitcoin and consequently the topic of this thread? You are a little dictator
If I can not remember, who defined the "vision" bitcoin was Satoshi; and you, me, and everyone in this forum are here for the same reason.

Is not that the idea of a forum? discuss and exchange different opinions freely, in our case on the future of bitcoin and what we think is better in the short, medium and long term? You can not argue with people who think the same as you, let alone build knowledge.
It is for this reason that many call this place a "small echo chamber", for trolls like you.

Quite frankly, I think many here are just getting sick of the big blockers attempting every way possible to push their idea through even though they have never had the majority of the community backing them, much less anything close to a consensus. I personally believe that many of the bitcoin oligarchs who agreed to segwit2x just wanted to push the segwit through and thought the 2x was a small concession. We will see on reckoning day just how many pools actually move forward, and attempt to actually fork. I think the big blockers are going to be sorely disappointed. Then we will have to read the endless ranting. No wonder many of the veteran users here just opt to ignore. There is only so much preaching from the soap box that one can patiently sift through and tolerate.  Cheesy
