Not much has been heard of the Real Madrid reshuffle to date. I know they already have a squad that is quite optimal in dispelling various threats. On the other hand, Barcelona is the only club that is being discussed a lot because it is trying to get some additional squads. Although it sounds quite heavy the period that Barcelona went through due to not-so-good finances.

Is there any news from the Atletico Madrid club after their flop?
Real Madrid made some signing quick then Barcelona take all the attention until now while Sevilla and ATM being very shy in this transfer window.
Until now, ATM got Niguez and Morata back from loans, they brought Lino a left winger and Suarez is no longer with the team, he will most likely move to USA.

If I remember correctly, the expansion of the number of participants is carried out mainly not by increasing the number of teams from Europe, but by increasing the number of teams from other regions. Therefore, although the situation will improve, there will still be a chance that several very strong teams from Europe will not get into the final part. And the fact that interest in the tournament is falling is obvious to everyone except officials. There is no point in watching most group games, they are completely pointless.
UEFA has 55 members in which 13 will play in Qatar (23.6%)
CAF has 54 members in which only 5 will participate (9.2%)
AFC has 46 members / 6 on Qatar (13%)
CONCACAF has 35 members / 4 on (11.4%)
OFC = 11 members / 0
CONMEBOL has 10 members / 4 on (40%)
This is before the expansion and since 1998, you can see clearly which teams in different confederations are considered luckier than the others. (slight change of pourcentage could be made since I didn't count 0.5 possibilities).
What happened with the new 48 proposal is to double the number of CAF, AFC, OFC and CONCACAF members allowed to join World Cup but increasing the number of CONMEBOL to 6.3 and UEFA to 16 made them favourites.
So to answer @Sithara007, CONMEBOL teams have a chance of 63.3% of qualifying to World Cup which is x2 European teams chances and x3.5 at least the rest of the world chances which is ridiculous and unfair imo regarding that this competition is dintended to allow most countries of the world get a chance to qualify and play internationally vs other teams in different continents. Otherwise, UEFA could pick 22 best teams + 10 CONMEBOL ones and they form Bi-Continental Cup that would way better to watch than current World Cup.
What makes WC (World Cup Roll Eyes ) good is when you see surprises and weaker teams advance instead of favourite bigger ones.

Chelsea are doing great in the transfer market, they have brought in Raheem Sterling which comes as a upgrade to their attack with his pace and dribbling skills. Priotizing building their defense now is a solid move. Reportedly,  a deal for Koulibaly is already agreed which is a smart move for Chelsea to replace Rudiger and a few more additions to their defense and a good striker and they are good to go.
Chelsea is focusing on their defence and will likely spend more than €100m for that without including Sterling expenses. There is rumours about Koulibaly, Koundé, Aké and Kimpembe. Such spending should improve a lot the team so they can compete with City, Liverpool, Arsenal and Spurs next season since all these teams are working hard to build a solid squad!
2964  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: July 14, 2022, 06:26:44 PM
That's right, Dembele likes Xavi's tactics, and doesn't mind staying with Barca this season. Moreover, several Barca players will also be released in the transfer market this season. Barca still hasn't gotten an improvement in the club's finances. One of the players who will be released is Frenkie De Jong who has already got an agreement with United. because previously the player was reluctant to accept a pay cut, and finally chose to leave Barcelona. this is good enough for Barca because some new players will also come in.
De Jong is asked to accept to move to ManU. Barcelona will get from that €70m. There is also bonuses that might make the deal €80m in total.
I believe the price is quite high but that will help a lot Barcelona to register Dembele, Raphinha, Christensen and maybe others coming. Also getting ride of €30-35m of his salary will help a lot the club. It is a good move for the interest of both teams except De Jong himself who will have less wage AFAIK

....
Finally we will see Maguire on the bench, Grin.
I was wondering if Man United actually plan on keeping him after releasing a lot of players hehe. I'm pretty sure many fans will be disappointed if he's still part of the squad next season but they may at least find it a compromise if the club has better defenders coming in. Let's see if starting from the bench lit a fire in his belly.
Manchester United's position from Maguire is weird. He was directly implicated in many goals received by the team, his attitudes in the field were a joke and complication was done for that specifically, yet, they refused to let him move to Barca which bizarrely wanted him to join them, they even mentioned that he will remain the captain and he is in the planning of the team..
I believe he will start in the starting eleven for a couple of games before letting him as substitute in case he will continue playing miserably.
2966  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: July 14, 2022, 06:08:12 PM
I don't know how much Koulibaly's transfer to Chelsea cost, although some news reports say 40 million euros plus some bonuses. If that's true then Napoli will definitely have some money to spend on getting other players in the transfer market. One name that is currently sticking out is Dybala, but Napoli are also looking for another defender to replace the vacant position after Koulibaly's move to Chelsea.
Napoli will get enough money to spend it to get some players that can improve the team imo like Dybala and to replace Koulibaly. There is rumours about Kim from Fenerbahce and Ostigard from Brighton to reinforce the central defence position.
2967  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2022/23 | Qualifying on: July 13, 2022, 09:59:47 PM
CFR Cluj just lost to Pyunik on pens and the Romanian champions are out of the competition, without a doubt the biggest upset of those early qualifying rounds so far.
Although I follow from far qualifying rounds but Cluj defeat was quite strange. There is also Bodo that risked to play extra time and penalties maybe but they managed to proceed although losing with 3 goals. Malmo passed with 1 goal difference, HJK was close to defeat.. Lincoln Red lost and kicked. Overall these teams were expected to win which they did apart from Lincoln.
2968  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: July 13, 2022, 09:49:28 PM
Manchester United first game under Erik Ten Hag was a good one, the club is off to a good start. They won Liverpool in the friendlies, this victory is a boost to their morale though I think  preseason result doesn't determine a club's result in the season. You can start the preseason on a high note and still finish bottom of the league. Preseason matches are experimental games to better understand the fitness of your squad and your opponents as well.
A nice start but it is too early to celebrate. Liverpool players wasn't that fit, they missed opportunities and wonder know how could these teams use any tactics with such a huge number of substitution, it is like 3 teams were substituted!
ManU will continue playing games so we will see if they could maintain good results or not and how Maguire will perform since he didn't play in Liverpool game.
2969  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: July 13, 2022, 09:35:13 PM
Argentine players do not have enough stars to now, they rely more on Messi to play, while soccer games have developed enough for now, Europe has a much greater potential for the future World Cup, if you see the players they have, placement that is obsessed with Idol in the past, no longer a guarantee for the current soccer style, because the progress of football is far more developed for now, almost all countries have potential stars
What happens is that soccer like any sport is always evolving, when Argentina won the world cup in 1986 they depended almost exclusively on Maradona to accomplish that goal, of course they also had some other good players but they were nowhere near the level of Maradona, and now we are seeing they have been using the same formula and they have tried to win it all with Messi, however soccer has evolved and unless you can field a very good team around a star then the chances of winning the world cup are not very high, especially now that Messi is not as good as he once was
Having a couple of stars might increase the chances of a team to win but they won't stand if their opponents control them or play harmoniously and quite aggressively, otherwise how could we explain medium teams won many cups.
World Cup is always hard to predict. Argentina and Portugal aren't facing top teams so they can advance. Brazil will have harder games but they will most likely advance then the games will depend on the quality and how much the players are ready rather than having 1 or 5 stars.
2970  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: July 13, 2022, 09:25:28 PM
PSG is going through an overhaul of the team this season. There are so many players in the club that it's time to say goodbye to some of them. They have a staff of 40 people. So many players break ffp rules. Together with the new coach, they will go to reduce their staff. I guess it will be difficult to choose. Icardi and Draxler are on the sending list. I think both should be given a chance. Players with potential should be brought to the team.
PSG is consolidated the team on all fronts! They are planning to bring Škriniar from Milan and maybe other(s) if the deal won't be done. At the same time they are working to reduce the number of players but without losses! They are asking for fees before letting them go, like between €8-10m for Rafinha although his contract expires in 1 year..

-snip-
Look at the stat for monthly visit. It's crazy number.
Yeah incredible how a simple site could generate traffic, 1.5m! Simple and useful Smiley

Probably error that you got was from cached version of website.
At first I thought there is a problem with the site but after refreshing it worked and tried with another browser and whether it is only me site and it was fine so yes, you are right, it is the cached version that caused this

I doubt it is an issue of whether or not the owner can maintain it, but rather the owner hasn't set a reminder as the when it will expire. I don't know if theymos would even consider buying the site either as there are money other alternatives.
Yeah I am aware of the forums expenses. For theymos 1 BTC = 1 BTC so it is almost impossible to see a banner in the forums talking about FIAT/altcoins prices to BTC. A script could be made but it won't be popular imo. So the easiest alternative to all of that is preev since it is easy to visit, simple and without ads.

As mentioned, if the owner add non annoying ads, he could generate a lot of money I assume, this thing could be done by the forums too if they acquire it.
I am relieved that the site is back and I hope there won't be a new topic about this issue in 2023!

Preev.com is back. Please update Title & OP.
Indeed it is finally back, although I had the same error before refreshing the page, and the first thing to see is 1 BTC = 19710 USD.
An international treasure this site, Bitcointalk should acquire it in case the owner can no longer maintain it for a reason or another imo
2973  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 11, 2022, 09:02:14 PM
Pogba is going to be an invaluable asset for Juventus. Juventus played it really well because they did not spend too much money and they got some promising players.
Promising huh, well in fact one of the reason that he wanted to leave Manchester United was because he was asking for higher wage but it was declined. He thought that the other club would be willing to pay him higher but he couldnt find one that is willing to pay that high therefore he went to Juventus. He has probably regretted his decision because in the end, Manchester United's offer was higher than Juventus lol
It might be a wage issue but definitely not the only reason that pushed him to run out of the sinking boat of ManU.
First, Pogba isn't at his best with ManU. Secondly, his teammates are disappointing. Third, they have management issues and the team is quite unstable, without a clear future and not playing Champions League.
There is enough reasons for him to try his best with another club and Juve welcomed him.
2974  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: July 11, 2022, 08:56:46 PM
CR7 declared his intentions to leave ManU. He didn't join the preseason tour which can be explained by a familial situation he got as it can be considered as an indirect message to the staff.
Ten Hag announcement was the direct one, when he said that he had discussion with CR7 and he didn't talk about his intentions to leave..
I would say nothing is clear with CR7 but I won't be surprised when I see him playing under another club next season.

He also said how barcelona that is full of debts can bought a player like Lewa  Grin
That's harsh Tongue
Barcelona financial situation is a limitant factor for their potential success in La Liga and Champions League lately.

There are rumors that Bayern Munich are interested in Harry Kane. If Lewandowski leaves the team, they could include Harry Kane in their transfer list. He is only 28 years old and could serve Bayern Munich for many years. In fact, this transfer would be a very good deal for both Harry Kane and Bayern Munich. Harry Kane is a very good football player but trophies are missing in his career. Bayern Munich, which wins trophies every year, can give him the trophies that are missing.
No, Spurs won't let Kane go, as Bayern won't let Lewandowski leave.
In fact, the only possible way to see these two switching clubs is when you see a big offer. If Barcelona could offer €60m-€70m for Lewa, Bayern will sell him. Same goes for Spurs imo. Since Barca won't do that, then Bayern won't offer big to Spurs and everything will fall.
2976  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: July 11, 2022, 08:31:33 PM
Sevilla made additions to the defence. They bought Marcao from Galatasaray and paid 15 million Euro. They will also give 10% profit from the next sale. He is thought to be good on defense but has no goal contribution. I'm not sure he is the player Sevilla is looking for. I guess we'll see in time.
I haven’t heard of Sevilla making big transfers. They did bring in a defender but they really need attacking players who are really adept at scoring goals. I don’t think they will be able to achieve any decent results in the next season.
Sevilla didn't make any interesting signing imo. They got Marcao after letting Diego Carlos move to Aston Villa. They might bring another center back if Kounde leaves to Chelsea or City.
For Martial, he failed to adapt in Sevilla and returned back to ManU. So far Sevilla doesn't look better than the previous season, unless some players perform better, it will be a hard season for them.
2977  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: July 10, 2022, 08:22:05 PM
Barcelona seems serious about retaining Busquets in the club this season despite his contract expiring June 2023, that means he still have one season left in the club. Sergio Busquets have been in the club for a long time have been the target of Major league soccer clubs. The midfielder who have a lengthy experience in Laliga and he's one of the players in the team that usually boost new players confidence in the team. Even barça coach, Xavi probably want to work with him and hope he stays in the club.
Busquets played 14 seasons with Barcelona and he won't sign an extension of the contract since he wants to play in USA, probably with Inter Miami once his contract expires next season.
Xavi wants him with the team and he can play 1-2 additional seasons imo but it appears that he wants to try another experience rather than to play solely for Barcelona his whole career.
2978  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: July 10, 2022, 08:15:32 PM
Pogba is indeed a good player but during his time at Manchester United, he did not make a good contribution (from the statistics that I read, during 6 years at MU, pogba only made 29 goals from 232 MU matches), to be honest this is a bad statistic. lets hope at juve he plays well and does not disappoint.
Pogba isn't a forwarded to be asked to score goals in every match, he is a central midfield player who sometimes plays as defensive or attacker midfielder. He is asked to assist his mates to score, find a way to control the midfield and regulate the passes from the defence to the offence smoothly.
His overall performance dropped these seasons but he might start again good with Juve. He was kind of frustrated with ManU, especially this season.
2979  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: July 10, 2022, 08:07:20 PM
Ousmane Dembele is still a free agent and I'm really surprised why no team are going for him now. Chelsea have been one of the teams linked with him for a week. Barcelona might also go for signing him back as well seemingly. However I feel like Chelsea and Barcelona's priority is common which is signing Raphinha now. Leeds still haven't reached a full agreement with any side seemingly. In case one of these teams sign him then the other one could go for Dembele I think.
No, it appears that Dembele will sign a new contract with Barcelona with a huge reduction of his salary but he could earn more money if he plays more games and probably perform better and score more goals. We need to wait to see his contract terms.
For Chelsea, they will most likely lose both Raphinha and Dembele for Barcelona. I don't know why they didn't chase Dembele earlier and offered him a good wage?
2980  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 10, 2022, 08:01:49 PM
Phil Foden is definitely a great deal. Dude got from City youth system and he is playing amazingly. He didn't started as a great player that needs to get minutes directly, but with each season he got more and more and more playing time. Right now he is the type of player you would want on your team during an UCL finals game.

I highly doubt that City would want him gone, they won't sell him and they will keep him as much as possible. Raphinha deal is a bit of a different one, it would not make sense for him to choose Barcelona over Chelsea, but it would also make sense in the way that he could be playing a lot more with Barcelona and would be cared a lot more. Instead of being a "liked" player in Chelsea, he may pick to be adored in Barcelona.
City won't let Foden go, just like PSG did with Mbappe. They will triple his salary once he signs an extension for the contract. Rodri also will get a rise with a contract extension.
For Raphinha, it is interesting that Leeds might let him move to Barcelona although €10m loss comparing to the contract offered by Chelsea.
