Is buying ETH currently a good idea, or should I be going with Bitcoin?
Any of the two cryptocurrency is a good investment. Right now, the market is still down, so putting some money on it will likely to have good profit in the future. But do not just take my word on it, you should do the research yourself. It is your investment, so you should know everything that is needed to know before parting with your hard earned money. Actually, when the market is down is the best time to put some money on quality investments. Everything is cheap when the market is down. Don't be like those people who ride hypes as investments. They when the price is in its all time high, then complain when the price drops. Just be wise when selecting your investments to lessen the risk. Good luck.

Price is a weak reason to stay or leave bitcoin. If you are just here because of the price of bitcoin, better get out soon because you can be disappointed and heart broken every time the price takes a dip.
I am here because of the technology behind bitcoin and other crypto. I believe it is a good innovation and will stay here even if the price stays stagnant or takes a dip.

Everyone is looking forward for the price of bitcoin to bounce back but as long as there are negative impacts coming from the government about bitcoin and cryptocurrency, the price will remain bearish for now. Let us hope we get better acceptance soon so that the price can recover and attain a new ath.

Security is the most important features an exchange should have. We do not want another exchange getting hacked because of poor security. Accessibility or loading time and fees should follow. If it have these features, just a good pr and volume, pairs and everything will follow.

I am not against bountyhive but I am fine doing this on my own. I can find the right bounty or campaign for me without the help of bountyhive or any third party. I am also earning more than that in a month, so I am good. You may have better luck advertising it to newbies on the thread.

No one knows when will this bear market will end, there will only be speculations. You are not alone OP, I am also holding in loss. But as they say, it is not loss until you sell it. I am still holding my bitcoin because I believe it will still bounce back and get to a new ATH. I do not know how long it will take, but bitcoin has bounced back from worse, so I still hope it will recover back from this.

There are countries who declared bitcoin illegal. There are some who wants to regulate bitcoin and have laws concerning it. There are countries who consider bitcoin legal. Now, what country do you belong? If it is not illegal in your country, then it you can hold all the bitcoins you want without any concern.

With the fast developing blockchain technology, more and more people are getting involved in the blockchain world. The human being has been evolving so many years, we went through the period of the primitive society, the agricultural revolution, the industrial revolution, and the Internet revolution. It's time to change, we now need to enter a new era, a decentralized era, we got to trust each other with the technology, but not with the third parties. Government is third parties, the bank is third parties, all the giant company are third parties. Why they want to hinder the development of blockchain or ICO. Because they are afraid, there are no more people they can get benefit from.
I doubt you will want a country without government. There is already enough chaos with government and laws, what do you think will happen if there is no one to implement laws in your country? There are space for decentralized innovations and there are space for governments, banks etc. |

Hey all, I am very new to crypto. Cryptocurrency is becoming a routine topic to talk about in households today.
The biggest issue people always bring up is that it is very difficult to use it to buy real, tangible products. Does anyone have any ideas of how to do this with limited fees and restrictions on the consumer? And are there any ICOs that are trying to solve this problem?
It is not difficult to use but rather there is not that many merchants that accepts bitcoin or crypto as payment. Spending it is very straight forward and can be learned by grade schoolers. We just need to wait til adoption copes up and then we can spend it freely, hopefully. As for fees, altcoins is better at it. There are alts that have less fees and shorter confirmation time. |

This is why ICOs are getting banned on social media platforms and ads. It is just a shame that even good and legit ICOs are getting affected by these scammers. They are destroying a good platform for new businesses. That is why I agree if ICO gets regulated to at least restrain some scammers. I know scammers cannot be stopped from doing ICO scams but at least it can be lessened.

As long as bitcoin is the store of value in crypto market, it will always effect its pair when its value moves. That is how market works and we cannot control the movement of bitcoin. CMC shows value in dollars, that is why when bitcoin falls, the value of other coins also falls in first glance.
The number of coin paired with ETH is growing, maybe someday the market will not be too dependent on bitcoin as a pair.

The price is still above 300 which is the price before it started its crazy climb to above 1200$. Though it is already a bargain, it can still drop more. I am holding it off until it drop to about 350, then I will buy ETH. That is the perfect price for me, whether it drops more or not, I am fine with that price.

a subsidiary of google.com. namely youtube.com and blogger.com have started blocking videos and articles that contain elements of ICO, tokensale, and Altcoin. then how is your prediction for the future of altcoin?
There are other venues where icos and crypto can use for advertisement. It will affect ICO and its progress but I do not think that it will cripple it. Facebook, twitter, youtube, google can ban crypto advertisement but it will still survive. |

I think you are not alone OP on your experience regarding the views of negative people on bitcoin and on signature campaign. I also suffered the same criticism coming from people close to me. But I do not consider it a success yet when they can see me earning a lot from this activities because I believe this is just temporary. But if I can establish a business or bitcoin became stable, that is when I can say I am successful in doing bitcoin.

I always expect the worse and hope for the best. We have been in a bear market for months now, so I am expecting that there will be some recovery soon. But if it does not come soon, it is still okay for me. More time to buy bitcoin.
I do not feel bad even at today's rate of bitcoin because if I compare the price at this month last year, we are still way up.
