I am definitely not interested about the UFC 301. Especially compared to the last UFC event, I mean UFC 300, this UFC 301 is not going to be more interesting. Actually, this next UFC event, UFC 301 is actually not going to be even 50% interesting as the last one was. Maybe I am wrong and maybe it is just a personal bias because I was really interested to see Alex Pereira, Charles Oliver, Max Holloway, Justin Gaethje, etc. maybe other people will find the next UFC event interesting.
For sure that is your opinion as the fighters for that event are not that well-known some are old and for sure need to retire for good, but for a true MMA fan I am still interested in every detail of the fight, for me Alexandre Pantoja is an exciting fighter, he could not have an interesting finish in becoming a Champion that sick grappling and still is still good in his division for sure in this division you will definitely be needing a lot of IQ in winning as some fighters are very nibble for you to take down or knockout. Do you really think that Aldo is still able to do same magic with his legs as he used to ? Martinez imho is not kid for beating. 19-4 and series of 6 wins. Orlando couldn't dominate Cleveland in the first two games of the series, but in the third game they exploded at home and took the series with a spectacular win. If Orlando wants to keep their hopes alive, they need to win today's game. Both teams are mediocre away from home, but very good at home. If Orlando struggled a bit in the fourth game, I might change my mind about the series, but since they had a comfortable win in the third game, I think they will win the fourth game as well. Cleveland won't play a bad game, of course, but Orlando is likely to tie the series as they will play this game at home.

I haven't checked this thread for a week or two and I missed the announcement of McGregor vs Chandler fight. I accidentally discovered a video about it today on Youtube and I was kinda surprised. It was already visible from 30 second that something exciting (for Dana White) was about to be announced, he can't hide his wicked smile, he can't hide his love for money. Yeah, they played really well in the first half of the game, and then the 2nd half too, they owned the Denver Nuggets at every possible way from defense to offense but they missed so many shots and were not able to protect their lead while Jokic and the Nuggets crew took advantage of that. There was even a time when Lebron shouldered it all from blocking shots to making threes just so they could still have the lead. 89-81 was the last strong lead but again, it was not preserved.
I give credit to the Nuggets too, they were never frustrated about what was happening and they kept on fighting even on that 20-point lead.
Today, Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving, and the whole Mavs roster are rejoicing for stealing one win in the home of the Clippers. That's big! Kyrie knew it and he said it in the post-game interview. He knew how difficult it would be to recover from a 2-0 lead and he knew the statistics. I love that new Kyrie without dramas.

I think the Celtics probably take this series over the Heat easily and tonight should be another step towards that. Nothing too surprising expected there. The New Orleans game should be a little more interesting, as that team should be rested finally after the play-in tournament. No Zion and an angry BI makes it a tough road ahead for them though.

Yes, the number of three-point attempts and makes by the Heat in this game is impressive. On the one hand, I'm surprised that the Heat without Butler were able to tie the series against the Celtics. It is looking that way right now, but i will wait until it is over before i celebrate, whenever i remember how Dortmund failed to win the title on the last day of last season, it reminds me that we have to wait until is over to be certain of who is going to win the title. I know that Leverkusen's position this season is different to that of Dortmund last season, Xabi Alonso's team has a huge advantage and it would be a great shock if they fail to win the title, and i hope they win it.
It was a 14 points difference for Leverkusen to be the new champion in this Bundesliga season, while we are now in Matchday 31 I already can say that it is over for Bayern Munich right now I really think that Thomas Tuchel has already given up in this season as Bayern Munich has already taken a lot of losses against Dortmund and Heidenheim while they are badly needing a win because Leverkusen is not having a shakedown with their winnings and not having a lose is something to be amazing in this season for me I think that Leverkusen can really claim the championship this season. It was such a huge win by Leipzig yesterday and now the pressure is over Dortmund this week. The reason why is this win has pushed Dortmund out of top four in the standings.
I can't say Dortmund have an easy job to do this week. Their game is against Frankfurt home. Dortmund players have returned from a Champions League game you know. There might be some fatigue among the players. Dortmund are still the favourite but I wouldn't make any bet on their win this time. I really like it when Leipzig surprises me this much and right now Leipzig is getting in 4th place is something wonderful and want to see them in the Top 3 or even the 2nd place but the 4th place is a good enough spot, that wins against Heidenheim was a good enough win but having a draw against Mainz is something that I was really surprised about but again getting in the 4th spot is something great already but I wanted to see them making the 3rd spot for the last matchday of the Bundesliga.
I think Dortmund will hand Leverkusen their first defeat of the season. That would really hurt because there would only be 5 games left at that point. In fact, whatever the result will not change the fact that Leverkusen is the Bundesliga champion this season. But ending the league as champions with an unbeaten record would be history that will never be forgotten in football. I'm sure Alonso is also motivated to get an unbeaten record. Currently there are 4 matches left and there are several strong teams they will face. I think VfB and Frankfurt will be a challenge for them to maintain their unbeaten record.

I also think that Pereira would have lots of troubles against Aspinall. The level of wrestling and bjj or Pereira is not so high to stop Aspinall. Even knowing that Pereira cut some weight to fit in light heavy (omg how did he fit in middleweight then?), he wont have enough weight on the ground to counter power of Tom. This might be a big mistake if Pereira would still rely on a power of his left hook or overhand. Heavyweight guys can survive some of his punches and get him to ground, where it will be difficult for him to get away.
Just my two cents, Pereira should know where to stop. Jumping from division to division to get more belts is a good wish, respectful. But among heavyweight there way to big and experienced guy. It is light heavyweight division that looks strange. Where there are no obvious dominant fighter. Among heavyweight guys, there is nothing for him to catch.
For now, Alex Pereira doesn't have any trouble with the guys that have a Khabib Nurmagomedov level of wrestling we can all say that Sean Strickland, Israel Adesanya, Jiří Procházka, or Jamahal Hill doesn't have the mentality of getting into the ground in the early fight and would still consider a stand-up fight that is why they are all Clobbred by Pereira's devastating left for sure Jan Błachowicz is the only fight that has a decent performance that Pereira had some trouble but the rest most of that fight Pereira won via KO. But for sure Tom Aspinall is a different build because he is a heavyweight but still have the speed of a Light Heavyweight, so pretty sure Alex Pereira will have a problem against him. Nah... Not for Aspinall. Apinall has a bigger prize to get in Jon Jones. Winning vs him would def put him in the no. 1 pound for pound in the UFC. And if Jones wins then he'll prolly retire. Haney-Garcia lived up to its hype. Full of drama and some questionable decisions. Most if not all were expecting Haney to easily dominate Ryan Garcia. What was more unexpected though was when Ryan Garcia landed a huge left hook that badly hurt Haney in the very first round. It changed the tempo of the whole fight. Haney was still winning the next rounds but he remained unstable and Ryan already found his range and is just waiting for his opportunity again.
It's just annoying how the referee was helping Haney a lot. He never deducted a point on Haney for the countless hugs. There were times he interrupted when Haney is hugging while Ryan's hands were free. But he let Haney punch when Ryan is the one clinching. One judge also tried to rob Ryan of a clear win. And corrupt WBC still retained Haney as its champion when it should've been declared vacant because he failed to defend it.
We can not say that Devin Haney is just hype and that he is really weaker, Devin Haney is definitely in another league it is just that Ryan Garcia attains a similar status and if I could bet on that fight I may have bet for Devin Haney because Ryan Garcia had lost against Gervonta Davis and even though Gervonta Davis and Devin Haney doesn't fight yet I got a huge confident on Haney winning this fight but it has all crumbled When Ryan Garcia did the unthinkable he is the underdog but he has proven that he can defeat Devin Haney.
Obviously sure they wanna rob the kid. The judge scored a Draw for that fight despite the countless knockouts, its ridiculous but you would understand that they worked together to nail Ryan. If he doesn't participate the way like they should I guess the WBC will take back the money.

For having a referee like that for sure they wanted to rob Ryan Garcia of this win and let Devin Haney win, for sure Gervonta Davis felt and noticed the speed of Ryan Garcia because he had already fought him and Gervonta Davis now had a taste of the real Ryan Garcia and all he can do is just warn Haney that is why Tank wanted a dehydration weight draining thing for Garcia to slowed him down, for sure there is no other way to slow down the kid.
I would love to see referees warning and deducting points on fighters that hug a lot. It would do better for the sport and it make fights less boring. Oscar, BHop and the rest of GBP are raining praises on Garcia. But it will be exciting to know on what's next for Ryan. I think this fight is his last in his GBP contract and we'll see if he renews his contract knowing that he made beefs with Oscar and BHop.

For me this is just my opinion, after that great win against Devin Haney I want to see a rematch against Gervonta "Tank" Davis, and this time without that Rehydration clause that he is giving against Ryan Garcia, but now that he won against Haney Ryan Garcia still doesn't get the belt that is because Ryan Garcia missed the weight for the fight and coming in 3.2 pounds over the 140-pound limit. That's how it work in the playoffs, it's like a chess match, adjustments after adjustments and that for sure the Dallas are rooting to win game 2 to even the series. As they keep losing, their chances of winning gets slimmer, and as per statistics, when a team is down 2-0, the chance of winning the series is below 50%, so as much as possible, Dallas will try to avoid that as IMO they have the best season now with Kyrie on board.
For sure the Dallas Mavericks will adjust their strategy sure all teams will do the same I think that it is good for Luka Doncic to be on standby and be more on the passing side or likely he will be the one that is making the plays the Mavericks had a range of players that they can use and this is the play-offs they need to focus in building their bench guys while the Los Angeles Clippers is playing with their limited team but the Clippers still won the game, I think it is a good strategy to rotate the ball and let the other teammates get the heat and not just Doncic and Irving who would get the heat because that will be exhausting to their part.
I like your analysis. This is what I’m actually thinking when I watch their match. Regular season records is just a number and doesn’t matter if you are lack of experienced. OKC roster is full of young talent that doesn’t have much exposure on games like playoffs which they face same team multiple times for a series of matches.
Pelicans having veteran players on their line up makes them a bit in advantage against a young gen team. I will not be surprised if the Pelicans can eliminate them especially when the match is already move to the Pelicans home. OKC should finish the game as quickly as possible since Zion will come back potentially on game 5. Having 2-2 record will be bad for them.
You actually have a point the Cleveland Cavaliers don't have any experience with the play-offs but they still have a chance of winning against the New Orleans Pelicans even though some of the main players in the Pelicans had some experience with the play-offs we can not say the least as it is just the start of the playoffs and anything can surely happen I would really like the Cavaliers to show their fangs against the Pelicans as I think they can really do it even though they already won the 1st game the Pelicans can change their strategy next game and could tie the game for this play-offs. |

It was a funny thing that the low blow was the trigger to take the fight to stop but Alex Pereira didn't let that happen by stopping Herb Dean from saying that he was OK kudos to Alex Pereira for not getting it in his head he surely is one badass fighter for doing something like that and for sure he is the one that is in focus in that fight and not Jamahal Hill.

It was a master-class performance for Zhang Weili even though it was not a knockout or a submission like she thought it was because she thought that Xiaonan Yan likely fainted, I think not it was still a dominant performance for Zhang Weili.
Max Holloway VS Justin Gaethje
Max Halloway went berserk and crazy against Justin Gaethje it was the punch that KO'ed him and it was for the BMF Title a special belt for the Most Badass fighter, and it was really a crazy fight, both fighters didn't stop punching the other and it was the rolling back kick of Holloway that was the initial strike from the start that have Gaethje back off and got him damage his nose that got him slightly become slower that has been the key for Holloway in winning.

Still at awe at how Valdez can still fight like that throughout his career, it was really a brawl from round 1. Throwing heavy jabs and so Valdez face took most of the damage. But it's more of his heart that really keep him in this fight. He wanted to show to his fans that he can still become a champion even if it is just for a interim belt. But nevertheless having this belt he will have his chance against the regular belt holder.
Wilson might have to fight and go back in his Australia though to have some tune up. Fights that will give back his confidence again. His losses is very bad in the US though, but it was against a very tough Mexican brawler.
I really think that Oscar Valdez has more experience than Liam Wilson and that solid close-combat performance was really epic it was classic or vintage but at the same time was a masterclass performance from Oscar Valdez, and Liam Wilson doesn't have an answer in that barrage of punch that he was taking it was really something that Liam Wilson don't have any answer and he can not move anymore in round 7 it was really eminent that the referee would just need to stop the fight because he had seen enough one-sided beating from Oscar Valdez. That was great memorabilia from the Legend Muhammad Ali and for sure if this was auctioned for that kind of amount it would be an even much bigger amount in the future this piece of boxing shirt was worn by the legendary boxer it is worth another fortune, I really think that even the legendary Manny Pacquiao's clothes and worn shorts that he used during his boxing career all of those could have a significant value it will be a privilege and an opportunity for someone to have a possession of something like this.

Jeunesse Arena is a great arena too so for most fighters who are Brazilian that will fight in that event it is a privilege to fight on their home turf for sure and Alexandre Pantoja will surely do his all to win in this event because of the venue well we don't have an event this week but the next main event will be a great one and the legendary Jose Aldo will be in the fight card Jonathan Martinez which I think will be crazy, but I don't know if Jose Aldo can still make a win, Paul Craig VS Caio Borralho, Anthony Smith VS Vitor Petrino and Michel Pereira VS Ihor Potieria will be a great fight to watch.
They are the ones who would just want to put a show on their home turf win or lose. But finding someone to fight against Alex is also another issue and it's also too much to lose on his part. But moneywise, Alex is too popular already, he is meant for the main event and the big paying audience. Aspinal vs Alex is most probably the next big hype.
But there are so many fighters in Brazil to fight on 301, UFC just didn't give them a spot for their supporters. Johnny Walker probably would want to fight if Dana would just give him.

If I talk about yesterday's match, Heat really dominated in the 2nd half, it is impressive they end up by a win without Jimmy Butler or Terry Rozier. Erik Spoelstra's selection center Bam Adebayo was a good decision, Adebayo hold the team till the end and earned fourth Boston Series.
Yes, the Miami Heat and Celtics are going to face each other in the playoffs round one. I absolutely agree with the fact that the Miami Heat is a team that has created a lot of problems for other teams that they face. And of course, they are all legit teams. Because from a "not so advantageous" position they can still perform. Miami Heat is a team that has proved themselves again and again even in unfavored situations. Currently, Miami Heat is in really good form as well. The Celtics will have a problem on their hand in the upcoming match against Miami Heat.
Erik Spoelstra really was a great strategist and I have seen it back then the Miami Heat won in their back-to-back 2011–12 and 2012–13 in the Miami Heat team, and with the strategy in winning a game against the Denver Nuggets last year it was a great strategy and by letting Denver Nuggets Nikola Jokic exposed by that strategy but unfortunately, the Denver Nuggets got into this strategy and prevented by Coach Michael Malone, and that was by letting Jokic shot the ball and not make any play, But sure Erik Spoelstra is surely a great coach even without Jimmy Butler on the team his strategy was quite great with the remaining players that he got, and yes I was really looking forward to their next game. Good Choices I think that the Cavaliers, Nuggets, and Timberwolves have a great chance of winning against their counter teams while I can not still answer the Philadelphia 76ers against the New York Knicks I guess that will be a hard bet in my opinion but for sure we will see when the play-offs really starts, It was really a bummer that I was busy with my family on an out-of-town trip it was really unfortunate that I missed most of the games in the regular season and now when we come back it was already the play-offs but it is really good to still have some games than never really have some NBA games at all. |

UFC on ESPN: Nicolau vs. Perez  I miss all of UFC 300 and just rewatching most fight replays yeah this is surely 1 boring event but anyway, it is still a good shot for us to see and discover new upcoming fighters, and because I was really busy during the UFC 300 I was out of town with my family so I have no choice but to miss the big anniversary event for the UFC, but still, I surely want to still watch the action the replay action for the UFC 300 and the bits of what happened in that event.
It seems that On the UFC 300 Alex Pereira was kicked in the groan by Jamahal Sweet Dreams Hill but because he is ok with it and Herb Dean will likely stop the fight he stopped Ref Dean and said that he was OK and was eye-focused on the target and that was the History of Jamahal Hill as it was an awesome focus for Alex Pereira to knockout Jamahal Hill as many have said that the referee should stop the fight I really think Herb Dean done the right thing by not giving Jamahal Hill a chance to get back as Alex Pereira was the real deal focus on the fight it was really amazing. |

Never expected that many teams and drivers didn't try the wet track as RB Honda RBPT's Daniel Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda, Ferrari's Charles Leclerc, Mercedes's Lewis Hamilton, and McLaren's Oscar Piastri were the only drivers that had time, and tried out the wet track on the 2nd practice and finished the race it was evident that RB Racing Honda RBPT Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez the 2 leaders didn't try out the wet track ASTON MARTIN's Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll didn't show up in the 2nd practice while George Russell was the only Mercedes that didn't come out on the track, While the results for Practice 3 are out and just like in Practice 1 Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez dominated the scene, and Mercedes's George Russell has come in the 3rd place for sure the cooling upgrade of the RB20 has again proven very effective as the Red Bull don't need to risk it in the 2nd practice to prove themselves that they are the fastest team but not risking it has a better reward. |

In the last race the gap wasn't huge of course. But it is going to be really challenging for McLaren to get ahead of them in constructor standings. Probably it won't happen either as long as Ferrari don't mess up big time. But there is a really serious chance for McLaren to finish ahead of Mercedes after this great start. Especially if McLaren get another big update like in the previous season it can be more possible.
I wonder what's going on with Mercedes. This is a really terrible start. Russell's crash was unfortunate maybe but Hamilton got an engine failure.
Or Red Bull will not eventually ruin the advancement for Ferrari to keep on winning just like what they did in Australia and maybe McLaren could get on with the pace and takes the lead with Ferrari for me Ferrari wins this by luck it wasn't for the big screw up on what happened with Max Verstappen's tires then I think the domination run was still for the Red Bull if Ferrari and McLaren would want total control of the situation the engineers for both teams needs to equal the playing field and match the new and improved RB20 because last time will not repeat to happen but for sure if that could happen again, Ferrari and McLaren has a chance in snatching the lead for sure. Wow! That Chris Weidman versus Bruno Silva fight is kind of a questionable stoppage. I hope you guys watched it. The referee thought Silva was knocked down but the truth is not just one but two eye pokes happened when they put it in slow-mo replay. It's still a TKO for Weidman in the end. The funny thing is he gave Bruno a tip to never drop like that after a poke. Hilarious! That's two eyes, what will you do? The co-main event was the same, stoppage of the referee. Joaquin Buckley won the fight through TKO but that's more acceptable than the fight before them. Luque is not fighting back and he was warned many times. Main event: Well, it was too obvious from 1st to 5th round. The long-reach advantage of Fiorot was used perfectly and her accurate head strikes are too damn good. Rose on the other hand seems to be having a tough time going in. She badly needed to risk it so she could strike at his own distance but she was always stopped midway. It was really clear that Chris Weidman poked Bruno Silva in the eye and I didn't only count just 2 pokes but it was 4 pokes that I counted, it was hilarious that the referee didn't see that, or maybe Weidman paid the Ref for him to not get disqualified I really think that he is not fitted any more in this kind of sports and he needs to resort in this kind of things for him to win the fight for me that injury has given him something that he is not the same Chris Weidman and he would resort to anything to win, I really wish he never has returned. Joaquin Buckley is something to look forward to and for me, he has the key component to be on top of the Welterweight but if Shavkat Rakhmonov is still in the Welterweight then he would likely have a problem getting the belt. while I really like Erin Blanchfield Manon Fiorot looks really slick and her defensive wrestling has really improved from a fighter like Blanchfield you can really say that the level of defense in Fiorot was absolutely amazing. UFC 300 is more promising but this upcoming event will surely do the thing, for me, I am not that hyped about this but the fights that I am looking forward to watching were Brendan Allen VS Chris Curtis, Ignacio Bahamondes VS Christos Giagos, and lastly Court McGee VS Alex Morono for me I will be looking at those fights this coming weekend and will make a bet on those aswell. |
