2961  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So I guess people are using bitcoins for takeaway on: June 08, 2015, 02:52:54 PM
Nowadays bitcoin becomes popular payment method due to its offered advantage compared with traditional ways! ppl are keen to pay with bitcoin and merchants will be happy to adopt bitcoin payment to attract customers! It is good for the bitcoin development.

One reason I think it is more popular is because of convenience, and I find this especially true with me; I dont have to enter all my credit card information, phone number, register, etc; I just need to copy and paste an address to send to and the amount to send.
2962  Economy / Gambling / Re: CrimeDice.com - Now 15k Faucet / 60 sec ! on: June 08, 2015, 04:31:09 AM
Use a CoinDice script, OP is a brand new account and is gone after making the thread, site is extremely lagging...

At best, he is too busy to run a site, hasn't done any testing and is unable to solve the problem on his own site.
At worst, well it has been pointed out already above.

op might be hosting this on his home pc or something given how painfully slow it loads, probably hoping for some quick deposits and will shut everything down seeing as how some users are claiming that withdraws arent working.

What kinda bullshit is this? ive roi many times on scrypt.cc

just because you ROId doesn't mean it's not a ponzi (it is). you just got lucky.

yeah better then dice i feel much luckier on scrypt then stupid dice Cool
and 1year isn't luck its succes of scrypt.cc :S

Anyone who bought one year ago is deep in the red with no chance of ROI. Scrypt.cc has been "profitable" only in the Ponzi 2.0 version, roughly since December when they started using LTCGear model of selling super cheap hashrate and building hype through aggressive shills and referrals and stuff. Even then you had to be lucky to buy at the right time and "many times" is bullshit. Wanna gamble - feel free, just stop spreading the nonsense.

Excellent argument, thanks for exposing scrypt.cc in only four well crafted sentences.

oh wow, I wasnt even aware they had went ponzi, havent kept up with the cloud mining scene at all. Such a shame too, scrypt.cc has been around for a long time, guess the only legitimate services left are bit-x/mintsy.

You could add Hashnest, GetHashing and a few more listed here.

thanks for this link, I might just put a few dollars into one of these services in the future, good to know theres at least some legitimacy left in the cloud mining scene.

2965  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Bitcoin? on: June 08, 2015, 01:42:42 AM
because mining is only for companies these days and "cloud" services are just scam, I'm buying some BTC each month + something from sig. campaign. I don't see any other method of growing..Sad

there is the method of lending other users on the forum small amounts of btc; the interest profits can add up over time with enough business.
2966  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mechanical Turk + Signature campaign? on: June 08, 2015, 01:30:51 AM
I can think of so many things that could go wrong. You're giving out your password to a bunch of random people, whats to say that they don't a) change it, b) steal it and try to hack into all your accounts, c) change payout addresses for campaigns, d) spam the forum, e) get your account banned.

should also add that if the person "working" knows about the forum, they could just steal the account. Then all this "i got my account stolen" drama would start
2967  Economy / Digital goods / Re: How To Hack Someone With His IP Address (Offer) on: June 08, 2015, 12:55:06 AM
You might not be able to present a proof but if someone here is willing to take a test without the fee, I might consider buying.

stop begging
i just send free samples to hero members
so buy my stuff for 1dollar or leave

"buy my shit or get out you beggar"

great way to attract customers
2968  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mechanical Turk + Signature campaign? on: June 08, 2015, 12:03:24 AM
I doubt it.  It is unlikely that some random person who is willing to work for pennies an hour would have enough depth of knowledge to make on topic and constructive posts in this forum.  If you tried this it would be a fast way to get the mods attention, and also that of the campaign manager.  Neither one wants spam posts on these forums and people don't want to read it either.  So please refrain from using mechanical turk.  It is for your own good  Kiss

there are similar sites that organize tasks for people except they pat in bitcoin, I cant remember the sites but im sure a google search would find those.
2969  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mechanical Turk + Signature campaign? on: June 07, 2015, 11:26:06 PM
It wouldn't surprise me if someone is using it somehow.

it would surprise me more if someone wasnt already using this kind of service, especially across multiple accounts.
2970  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Silk Road Founder Ross Ulbricht Sentenced to Life in Prison on: June 07, 2015, 11:13:13 PM
Frankly I was expecting a harsh sentence. He was caught with his open laptop, signed in to silk road with admin account. They had all the evidence and logs from his laptop to prove anything they wanted.
It was very clear from the beginning that he couldn't get away with it and teh court will try to set an example out of this case to warn other dark web markets.

If he wasn't caught red-handed, then he could have had bigger chance to get out of it.

I remember reading that he requested from the cops to "call his girlfriend" to watch over his apartment while he was in jail, he ended up opening an app on his phone to encrypt all his data. just something interesting.
2971  Economy / Gambling / Re: Fun Crypto Games - cryptogames.io | Play games and earn bitcoins | Provably Fair on: June 07, 2015, 10:56:32 PM
Cryptogames charges withdrawal commission, which is 0.0001 BTC (0.01 LTC, 1 DOGE). We also charge additional 10% fee when Player’s bet volume is less than sum of his/her deposits.

Seriously? 10% fee if our total bets are less than our deposit? That's bullshit. I also don't see a min and max bet on the site. What is the minimum and maximum allowed bets on the site?

thats a huge deterrence for people depositing to this site, I cant imagine this going too well if this is true and isnt fixed quick.
2972  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hold on....you can buy things on ebay now....with Bitcoins! on: June 07, 2015, 10:11:33 PM
Ebay should directly accept bitcoin payments and then it would be good enough as PP can be charged back but not bitcoins. Their split up with PayPal has not made a significant difference as they only offer that payment option for US goods. For Indians they do have another payment option paisapay but that's also not good enough.
but if they accepted bitcoin payments, how would that affect buyer/seller protection? people can and will lie to save every penny they can; chargeback scams already happen often enough on ebay.
2973  Economy / Lending / Re: Collateral as a Service---- I will Lend you Collateral on: June 07, 2015, 07:59:15 PM
So this will give people a loan to use as collateral to take out another loan, what would be the point of this? The only result is a higher total interest for those taking out a loan.

2975  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Welcome to Bitcoin's Boring Era on: June 07, 2015, 05:02:16 PM
I think bitcoin has hit a bit of a boring slump. I think there's just no excitement or interest from the media currently. I'm sure it'll pick up again eventually but I think we need some good news to get bitcoin back buzzing in the media again. All we've had recently was the SR trail and that's not exactly great publicity.

exactly, there was some buzz about bitcoin when the price jumped to 1000 USD+ a few years ago, but right now theres nothing that big to write news about bitcoin on, not in a positive light anyways. the only things i hear are negative, like that man who got robbed at gunpoint for bitcoins.
2976  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: NYC man robbed of bitcoins on: June 07, 2015, 03:13:11 PM
they think that doing it in real life is less anonymous, but they forgot about all the risk that this can lead

at least if you want to really trade in real life, do it with a very good friend and none else

the loss of anonymity and the potential danger is what you risk for selling at a higher price; imo the tradeoff is definitely not worth it, id much rather use an exchange.

2978  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] Counterstrike go on: June 07, 2015, 02:34:54 PM
Isnt it a little bit overpriced? There are some websites that sell it for not more than 8$

yeah, this is almost retail value, even g2a sells it for under 10 USD.
2979  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Experience with cloud mining on: June 07, 2015, 02:30:44 PM
I tried mining on CCex early this year....
but I only loose my coins slowly because maintenance fees.

be careful with new cloud mining websites,
because most of them is only scam, and disapear after some time.

If you want to cloud mine try Bit-X or Mintsy

CEX had the highest maintenance fees of any site iirc, bit-x is legitimate though, and I believe scrypt.cc is as well, theyve been around a long time. Also CEX stopped mining as it is no longer profitable, its only an exchange now.
2980  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: [WTS] Sr. account, close to Hero on: June 07, 2015, 01:17:26 PM
Thanks for verifying, master-P, and for the additional escrow offer - I just might take you up on that one day Wink

Price has been lowered from 0.5 to 0.4. Please also see master-P's confirmation of the details above in this thread

I can offer you .3 BTC  if you agree we can complete today asap. who knows how long it will take to become hero status.

0.3btc is fair if it was late 300's early 400's I guess.

I know how long it will take to become a senior member  Cheesy 420 on Tuesday (minimum) 10 weeks and a few days which is the maximum amount of time it will take to become hero, obviously maybe sooner.

OP I am hopefully getting some spare funds today so will make a bid if it has not been sold, only need to make 6 posts for it to be a hero.

you actually need 480 activity for it to become a hero member
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=178608.0

Oh right so as I said 420 Tuesday (minimum), plus "5 x 14activity = 70". (420 +70 = I know exactly what it takes to become Hero actually.)

oh never mind then, just did cursory reading on these posts
