I cant really just avoid not to be amazed with Doncic breaking out records on this early regular season.
Even though they lost this game but still able to make triple double. What an awesome player!

He is really amazing, he has been improving and him being the PG of the team is really a big factor for their success as he works in every angle in the floor. His timing is good, he just need his teammates to working hard as well, but it's okay to see this loss since they are not complete and the game was tight and you'll take that as a good loss since Denver is a great team as well.

I don't really know why they keep insisting that the user made a violation that against their TOS they just said they make violation by they did not indicate what kind of violation is it. I don't really trust this kind of gambling website I was still thinking why until know they are still operating do they still have customers on their website?

I don't know if it's allowed for the site to share sensitive information, I believe there is a privacy between the client and the gambling site, so I think it's the complainant who should share it here so we will know his violation or the reply he got from 1XBIT.COM.

Maybe your government is gonna issue a new note and they give people an ample time to exchange or surrender their old notes as the time will come it will not be accepted anymore. It happened in our country too, some people forget to exchange their old bill and after the given deadline those money are already worthless.

The problem is when you are saving paper money and you are not informed with that news, you'll lose the value of your money and that will be a big regret. The right thing to do is just open a bank account, keep your money in there rather than keeping it yourself which is very risky.
2964  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 23, 2021, 10:14:44 PM
I don't think there's an under the table deal, SMB is a big company, all their cash flow are monitored and it's under the table, the player will violate the tax law as that is under declaration of salary. I think it's most likely that Terrence is after of the bonuses SMB management are giving because SMB is a team that is always favored to win a championship.

I believed in under the table. Of course, it won't be disclosed in public.

For SMB to acquired Terrence Romeo on the said trade, they need to deduct the salary of other SMB players to fit with PBA's salary cap. PBA has set a salary cap that's why Terrence ended up on Php 200,000 a month and a salary deduction for other players. If no under the table involved, then maybe, Terrence would end up below Php 200,000.

Bonuses are after the championship, not a fixed salary so for players to agree, there should be a separate discussion. It's legal since SMB is still following the PBA salary cap terms. There is no way SMB superstars will accept a salary deduction for just a Terrence Romeo without a good agreement with the SMB management. Smiley

Deduction of salary to other players, it does not happen, Romeo was acquired through trade.

Here's the story, https://www.rappler.com/sports/pba/terrence-romeo-traded-to-san-miguel

Quote
Romeo, a 3-time PBA scoring champion, has been acquired by San Miguel in a trade with the KaTropa in exchange for Brian Heruela, David Semerad and a 2021 first round picks.
2965  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH/BTC price as percent on: January 23, 2021, 01:13:05 PM
Congratulations Ethereum enthusiasts and investors with the new all time high for Ethereum about $1400.

I have the chart for Ethereum price as percent of Bitcoin price. The photo is taken from skew.com's Tweet
As percent of bitcoin price, Etherum has min at 0.2%, max at 15% and today it is 3.85%. If bitcoin won't rise more but Ethereum increases more and claims it 15% again, its price can be $4785. The price will blow my mind away.

Eth has recently made an all time high in USD pair but in the BTC pair, it is still down by -73.9% because the all time high for eth was 0.14 btc. Consider for a moment, if eth reach this value, how much high would it be in USD  Wink
I am very much bullish for ethereum.

I guess people would focus more on the USD value that the BTC/ETH pair.

That very clear that Bitcoin has more significant growth compared to ETH as we already hit $40 this year, it doubled its previous ATH while ETH although reached a new ATH but it did not follow the trend of bitcoin which is to double its previous ATH, and now that the market seem bearish, I don't think ETH will rise to the price stated by OP, it could be a correction will come instead of significant increase of ETH.
2966  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is that a successful IEO? on: January 23, 2021, 12:39:30 PM
Let's wait until the deposit at BKEX is opened, I hope the price can still be stable as it is today, because I also have a few tokens
Actually ame token deposit not open yet in bkex exchange but still open in bithumb exchange. There has another best news for upcoming exchange mxc in this month January. However op is very true because there IEO was huge successful and now team gonna focus new more exchange with staking development.

They will probably not open deposits until the price completely levels out. Although it is even more likely that they are afraid to release early investors, what a difference they already have, because they will have to sell everything at the current price. One way or another, the project is listing on another major exchange, which suggests that the price that we see now will be the lowest, because in fact everyone who wanted to sell their coins already had a chance to do so.

What's the purpose of not opening the deposit?

BitHumb Global has a huge market, if people want to trade (buy or sell), they'll use Bithumb than BKEX as Bithumb is more liquid. However, despite its listed in big sites, you can tell that people are not buying as the seller pressure is high, and it resulted to a dump of price. The figure we are seeing at BKEX is not relevant anymore as they are not opening the deposits.
2967  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting History - 2020 on: January 23, 2021, 12:24:04 PM

Losing in gambling is inevitable.
Definitely no, inevitable means unavoidable, of course you can avoid gambling so you will not experience loses.

And that is on you on how you will be controlling yourself. Despite that you control yourself every day, it doesn't mean that you will not lose but it can mean that the loss you will be taking is not that much as you can stop whenever you wanted to. If you can't stop gambling at least try to control your self and usually in this situation, gamblers can be triggered by their emotion.

As the principle in gambling goes, "gamble what you can afford to lose only".. that should what everyone has to do, this means you are gambling responsibly and regardless if you are aiming to grow your funds or just purely for fun, discipline has to be always in place.

In reality, gambling is risky but you'll minimize that risk by responsible gambling.
2968  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Paying with crypto for government services on: January 23, 2021, 11:25:39 AM
I am not sure that the government will give something like that, because in terms of responsibility, such as theft or other things, I don't think they can be held accountable for it, unless the crytpo they share is centralized coin. yeah, but if the development of cryptocurrency dominates, sooner or later, the government will definitely use payment methods via cryptocurrency, but I firmly believe that the token will become a centralized token.
I get your point, the government can freeze accounts once a fund is hacked because normally it will go through different banks and the AMLC will enter to investigate, while in crypto, it's not possible since transaction in crypto is irreversible and even if we have a lot of regulated exchanges but there are also a lot of OTC and even DEX, so it's not possible for the government to hold or even trace the funds.

Do you guys remember the offer sheet of Tanduay Rum to Danny Ildenfonso I once shared on this thread? That is one hell of an offer and you can see there the amount of money they get when getting into the playoffs.

I did not read it here but I was curious so I did a search, and here's what I found.

https://www.spin.ph/basketball/pba/bonus-scheme-in-danny-ildefonso-offer-sheet-from-tanduay-a1374-20200507?ref=article_tag

The basic salary is very small compared to the bonuses, damn, that's why some players choose to be playing in a good team.
2970  Economy / Speculation / Re: Could this correction lead to a bear market for Bitcoin? on: January 22, 2021, 11:04:27 PM
correction is not for the bear market. but bitcoin price correction to make the market healthier,
it hurts to see the correction occur up to 10% more decline,
but that is what makes this crypto market interesting, many people are caught in the trap,
many people are making profit from it, the bull period is still happening, don't worry because correction will make bullish continue.

Bear market is the opposite of bull market, with bear market, we will see that bitcoin will struggle and the price will decline, the perfect example is what happened in 2018 after bitcoin and altcoins reach their new ATH. We might see it or not, but we should be ready of that as that is very much possible.

Not bad for Justin Chua.

After losing MIP award, Justin Chua wins new three-year Phoenix deal

Good things will come for players who are working hard to improve.

Though he did not win the Most Improved Player award but we can see how improve he was during the last season. He is still young, he will eventually win one if he continues to work hard for his team.

There's really no transparency in the contract amount, I tried to find the amount of contract in 3 years but I cannot find it.  Justin Chua is an important player for the team due to his hassle, I think he is also making a decent salary like the stars of the team, maybe lower a bit. He is already 31 years old based on the article, it's not young IMO but his maturity in the game has already improved, he is a versatile big man as he is also confident in shooting 3 points.

Maximum salary cap of a PBA player is P420,000 monthly, which is P5.04 million annually, that  offer is for those who so-called superstar.
If he signed a 3-year deal mostly he gain something near to that.

I read an article where a star like Terrence Romeo only get P200K per month after joining the SMB franchise, he sacrifices his salary for the sake of winning a title? not sure but in the event of formality or for the sake of team's salary cap he might be getting that in paper
but there are more behind it something like under the table deal.

2972  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua on: January 22, 2021, 01:48:28 PM
Although Tyson have a much higher odds than Anthony Joshua, I will still bet on AJ as I watched his highlights.

He really dominated his opponents inside the ring and he show no mercy in his opponents.

We are not sure yet of the betting odds, unless listed in betting sites, that's the only time we can conclude.
For now, there are articles telling that Tyson Fury will be the favorites, but I believe even if he is the favorites, it's still a slight favorite only.
Quote

I know that you will say that betting on Tyson is an easy money but the thrill is that the underdog can give you much larger winnings and can fight from behind.

I would never say that as AJ is also a champion, as what I've said, Tyson Fury will only be a slight favorite.

It's always been that way, even at JMF the best player in the PBA, we don't know what his actual salary is, so let's just assume that they are paid well that's why they are still choosing the PBA league despite there's other existing basketball league in the Philippines.

They will not give an explanation, because there isn't any. They just hide behind this reason and will not come up with arguments.

As far as I see, they are answering complaints but unfortunately on selected members only.
Their feedback says, multiple active scam accusations, I'm sure they will not able to address everything, so they just use an excuse every time.

This one was not realized as all does not mean selective.

So that means Lakers ka tomorrow against Bucks? Maganda nito bro is halos patas lang ang betting odds, Lakers ang slight underdog, so maganda kung sa moneyline ka nalang.

2977  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Paquiao VS Connor McGreggor? on: January 21, 2021, 11:46:31 AM
Pacquaio's camp already told McGregor to just focus first on his fight at the weekend rather than to discuss their megafight.

https://news.abs-cbn.com/sports/01/20/21/pacquiao-camp-to-mcgregor-lets-finalize-megafight-after-your-weekend-bout

And I agree. That megafight will not happen if McGregor will lose in his upcoming fight. Let's wait for the result first.

This will be scheduled this coming Sunday in our timezone, I'll surely watch this fight. McGreggor is the favorites to win in this fight, I think he can win this one and the negotiation will start if it has not started yet. Paquiao's camp is interested on the outcome of this fight as they want to see McGreggor win so the fight of Manny vs McGreggor push through and this will create some hype since both are coming from a win.

As we can read from the news or link shared.

Pacquiao, who has already made known his intention to face McGregor, will be watching McGregor's fight live via pay-per-view from his home in Dasmariņas Village, Makati City.
2978  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why would anyone use a betting broker? Have you tried it? on: January 21, 2021, 11:35:41 AM
I'd say that the majority of users for these full-time sports betting brokerages are from restricted jurisdictions.

There is really no reason to use them otherwise, since you are likely going to get the same if not better odds just by placing wagers on the site directly. The odds boosts are probably some form of a gimmick more than anything tangible.
If only they have a choice then they would not use a broken, like you said, there are countries that are restricted to access a gambling site and therefore those gamblers who really like to gamble has no option but to use the broker service.

Also, note that some of the sportsbooks that you think you're betting direct with may actually be brokers that essentially earn a spread off your bet - although the exact business model of each sportsbook obviously differs.
This is true, I notice a site before that the spread is not really up to the standard, and though they didn't say they are a broker but it's not good to gamble in a site when there are other sites that offers a very competitive betting odds.

We should be thankful that crypto sportsbook has increased in numbers, that way we will be able to find a lot of alternatives.
2979  Economy / Speculation / Re: Could this correction lead to a bear market for Bitcoin? on: January 20, 2021, 10:50:56 PM
Do we think that this could happen now or should we just ride it out and expect a quick return to business as usual?

Honestly, it's hard to answer this, ride with it? No, yeah, it's a no for me, bitcoin already hit a new ATH, and I think it will dump for sometime before it will start rising again, and seeing bitcoin still at over $30k, I think we can still see more correction to come.

The thing is it still stay at $30k now, had little swings but no significant price movement is happening. After the fall, bitcoin already struggle to come bake at $40k trading price, so probably you are right that it's due for a deeper correction and we might see it anytime soon.

but we haven't received any bump or negative sentiment sell off from main markets so it remains untested imo
This is what we needs to see in order to conclude that a huge correction is going to happen, until now there's no signs yet.
However, we can't be just complacent because as we are surprised to see this huge run, a huge correction might also happen without us seeing it coming.

How about Parks, do we see here the new Calvin Abueva?  Grin

He can win on the statistics but hard for him to win the other criteria.

I get that point, yes it's possible because Ray Parks loves to score but he does not have a lot of fans compared to the most humble guy in the PBA which is JMF and the beast Calvin. Maybe because he is still new and he hasn't won a championship yet in this career, it needs a championship win for a superstar to get respect.

Fajardo almost dominate in most criteria I believe, and that's the reason he easily win the award and no one really complain why he won consecutive BPC.

I hope he will come back healthy soon with the same contribution in the floor so these complains would not exist anymore.

About Calvin, maybe we will see a better Calvin next season.

Calvin Abueva vows to do even better after 'bitin' comeback season

JMF always does, if he struggles, he can still get a double double, at least 10 rebounds and 10 points, and if he is having a good game, he can make 15-20 rebound and 30-40 points, that's how dominant he is.

For Calvin Abueva, he doesn't need to say that because we already know he will do better, we did not even expect that he will have a good performance in the bubble after years of break.
