IIRC, Westbrook's first championship was against the Heat or Lebron James, and they only won 1 game in the series, so this time, if the Nets will also perform well, he will be playing against his two teammates back in OKC.

That was the only time Westbrook went to the Finals, he and Harden were unfortunate enough not being able to come back in the Finals, but Durant made a good decision by joining the GSW and won a back-to-back Finals MVP and a championship with the team. Now, the game is fair because Durant has Harden and Irving, while Westbrook has James and Davis.

No odds yet from my favorite bookies as of this time, am interested to know how they look at the SMB vs TNT series, I mean who will be the underdog.

Does Sportsbet always offer outright betting for Philippine Basketball? In Stake, I never see they did it before.

Last year, Sportsbet offered markets for outrights during the Finals and I think they would do the same this year but i did not remember they offer outright in the semis.
I can't remember any of the sportsbook I'm using has offered a series bet in the PBA, they seem to give a limited market only although in fiat booking there are more options.

Anyhow, the odds for Game 1 Semis are out now: (stake.com)

Meralco Bolts @ 1.82 vs. Magnolia HotShots @ 1.89
San Miguel Beermen 1.8 vs TNT Katropa @ 1.82

We can conclude that bookies see these games having no underdog or favorites. Almost equal. Betting on Handicaps is the best option here for me.

Odds above are more advantageous if you are a fan of the Beermen but if you are a die-hard TNT fan, better for somebody offline that gives you +1 game as there are many who are giving that kind of handicap (some of my colleagues at work we're already doing that).

Nice odds, it seems to be fair for both teams and probably it's good to bet on per game since the odds difference is not that huge.

In sportsbet, the odds are also available now, I'm getting 2.02 (price boost) for SMB.
2963  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is better: Ethereum or the Binance Smart Chain? on: October 01, 2021, 09:57:31 PM
This question has a really simple answer, Binance smart chain is the straight winner because of the fact that it's really efficient and requires really low transaction fees as compared to Ethereum, whereas for me in ethereum it once required a 29$ gas fee for a 10$ transaction [it may differ for you]  which is really high and I won't recommend it for sending and receiving a small amount of assets.

If good scalability on the BSC network will continue to maintain, users will always enjoy the quick and low fees of using it.

But before, the Ethereum network also has the same feature, cheap fees while users can enjoy too a quick transaction. It's no assurance that the BSC network will avoid ending up on that issue too in the future. For now, let us enjoy what network is giving us convenience. In the first place, other networks chains are build to somehow solve some of the issues when using Bitcoin before, especially fees.

BSC for me is a good alternative for ETH while they are still in the process of solving the high fees. Maybe that's the reason why BNB is more popular now, but it's a long way to go as BSC network has not achieved yet the number of projects using ETH network that cause the spike of fees, and maybe you are right, eventually in the long run BSC network will be congested and the fees will increase.
2964  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ]: Fury vs Wilder III - THE TRILOGY IS BACK ON !!! on: October 01, 2021, 09:25:34 PM
I did not dig this story deeply, but I heard that Wilder was able to achieve a rematch only through the court (since Fury dodged the fight and wanted to fight Joshua), Fury won the trial, but the fight, as it seems, by the court's decision, will be held on Fury's terms (i.e. a new contract for the fight), so it is quite possible that there is a clause about the next rematch if Fury loses the fight.

That was for this third fight. He had a rematch clause but the contracted time for it to happen within had elapsed but that was only due to covid so he had to go court to get it overruled. Contracts often have clauses in for things like 'acts of god', wars breaking out or even pandemics. No idea what the terms of this contract were but I think it was fair due to covid which made the fight impossible.

I have now googled for a while but could not find information regarding the current contract - only the part about the distribution of income from the match between boxers is public (the amounts are impressive).
In fact, this is a very interesting question, because if this 3rd fight is a continuation of that contract, then by winning it, Wilder will be able to refuse Fury a rematch, and if this is a completely new contract, then Fury, as a belt holder, will be able to demand revenge in case of defeat and we will see the 4th fight.
This is interesting, I always thought that this was just Wilder invoking the clause in the contract that gave him the chance to recover his tittle in the case of a loss, so it is entirely possible that if this is a new contract that Fury can now have that clause as well, however I do not think Wilder is going to beat him anyway, however now the chance for an undisputed champion will depend on what happens with the Joshua vs Usyk rematch fight as in the case Usyk wins again, which is the most likely outcome, will Usyk try to fight Fury so soon and risk all his belts? Or will he wait until he gets more comfortable on the division?
IMO, the rematch clause is not so important as being a champion, he should give a chance to give his opponent a rematch, especially if the opponent is still one of the best in the division and the fans would want to see it. Forget about the contract, the better fighter would always win and in this case, Fury should not be tired of fighter Wilder as he already beat him twice, (first one was a draw but controversial, but 2nd one was a clear win by KO).
2965  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Ethereum reach $5,000 by 2021? on: October 01, 2021, 08:56:28 PM
There is always a possibility that ethereum will reach 5k$ this year. Ethereum price is now above 3k$ and still rising of ever it will not reach 5k$ this year maybe in the first quarter of 2022 we will see the 5k$ price. We just need to wait and spend some time on collecting update for is to stay informed with some good news that can possibly affect the price.
With how bullish the start of the last quarter, it's possible, after days of dumps, bitcoin has now recovered, so as ETH, and soon if this continues to rise, $5k is likely to be achieved especially if Bitcoin will once again break its current ATH. Just be optimistic, and hope more for the success of bitcoin as Altcoins will always benefit bigger as we can see on the previous bull run or even this year's bull run so far.

Meralco should bounce back from a 1 point loss, it's their time now so they will not be eliminated.
In this conference Meralco was doing well, but NLEX is more remarkable as they improve even without Ravena.
I can still watch this game as it will start at 6:AM in our timezone, I also like to see how they will bounce back after a bad loss in the first game, and probably the game will still be low scoring game and Meralco will win, probably in single-digit only as NLEX is also doing well.

This is what you called "bigayan" as NLEX is a sister team of Meralco if I'm not mistaken.

Yes, they are a sister team as NLEX is own by Pangilinan who is also the owner of Meralco. The odds is still -4.5, that's too high for a team that they previously beat in the previous game, so most likely the odds are telling that Meralco would win this by a decent margin.

There is a line movement, Meralco Bolts now is up to -5.5 (https://sportsbet.io/sports/basketball/philippines/pba-philippine-cup/matches).
bisdak40 was lucky he was able to bet on the -4.5 lower by one point.

Anyway, if Bolts would really bounce back, I guess they will play harder and will not allow NLEX to get close in this game as they don't want to get eliminated. Oftana will be a marked man in this game as he hits the game-winner last game.
2967  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fake bets on: October 01, 2021, 07:18:15 AM
It's part of their strategy game to win and gain more players.
I guess not only do they make money from referrals but they also make money from the direct advertisements of the site. Streamers aim for money, so we should not believe that they are really making a lot of money, or betting a lot, otherwise, they will relax and enjoy their winning and be consistently making money without telling people what they are doing.
2968  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 30, 2021, 08:59:59 PM
Tomorrow is October and 4 more days before we could witness the start of the pre-season.
As we are getting near, it's also more exciting to see how these newly built teams are going to clash.

More with the Ben Simmons series. (This drama will be profitable on Netflix.)
76ers' Ben Simmons willing to forfeit salary and sit out entire season if not traded, per report

Sitting out for the entire season? He will waste that huge chunk of money while other people are getting hungry in this pandemic. Damn.
His pride is too damn hard that he would give up a year of payment than to be with the 76ers family.
Why can't he just like be Hollywood. Act like you are still a part of the team and hope to be traded next year.
You got your money and a chance of revenge missing all the freethrows and taking them all down with you.  Grin

Why not right? If you notice how Kyle Lowry did last year, when the trade didn't materialize, he stays and plays and hopes for the best offer coming this season and he finally does. Simmon is too emotional and not professional enough to face this drama. His willingness to throw that huge amount of money for the sake of his ego. Wow,  Shocked Just the same with you, there are many people who are trying to survive since pandemic really hurting them.

If he can stay and donate those money, he'll be able to earn more respect. What do you think? Oh well, Netflix might be thinking
the same, they can create storylines that will fit Simmons' drama. Roll Eyes Grin

I don't think the 76ers would do that too, though Simmons said it but the 76ers as an organization would not do that to their player. It will ruin their reputation, I guess this drama will be over soon, and it should be the 76ers management who should make the action the soonest to find someone to trade for Simmons, or else this problem will continue to exist and will hurt the team more.
2969  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto dip today on: September 30, 2021, 02:01:10 PM
I think the current market is not too dip, this is just a normal correction as long as the percentage is still 10-20%, so far the market is still healthy Bitcoin and Etherum still have a pattern that can still be pumped maybe towards the end of the year the market value will go up, because that's the pattern crypto every end of the year will increase. So don't worry, there's still a chance for market to grow up

Correction is always normal once the market is too bullish, as you can see, we have been struggling to reach $50k again and after that China FUD news, bitcoin has been slowly bouncing back, so seems like the fear is still there and people are not buying it yet unless there's good news that will pump up the market again.
2970  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: SOL is already $144, can still buy it? on: September 30, 2021, 01:14:37 PM

Once the bullish market returns, Solana has a high chance to breach its previously established All-Time High price @$213 during the 1st week of this month. Right now, we can consider that the current floor is the bottom and making an entry is not a bad choice. Good thing that the market experience a bear trend so those who are confused about putting money on SOL can now make a better choice rather than hugging the hype back then and force themselves to buy at that price.

Will you buy now or wait for more dip? It's now up to us. Just don't wait for too much price target whether to buy or to sell as in most cases, it doesn't happen.
For me, i won't suggest buying Solana this time as its still in a high price. You can wait for more price corrections that will create a dump in price and maybe by that time we will see prices ranging from $70-$80 which is really a good time to buy. Solana has a great team that is working on its project so its no surprising that its price will eventually go up. But if we want a good price to buy that will offer us even a greater profits, then let's just wait for its price to dip patiently.

Exactly, the dip might come again and even $50 is possible. For a coin that has a significant pump, I guess I would not trust it as it's hard to watch when it's correcting due to the fact that the coin is overbought due to hype. Timing is always very important, and buying when it's pumping is not always the right timing.
2971  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: September 30, 2021, 12:27:14 PM
I am also Aiming for Casimero to Win but not because I want him to Win instead I want him to be defeated by Inoue or Donaire soon  Grin
So if Casimero vs Butler is done and whether Casimero loses or wins on this match, he's still going for Inoue.

I think if we want to see the match of him against Donaire, it will take a year before we see that happen if he has to fight next Inoue.

It will be nice if Casimero will win on this fight since Inoue will possibly see him as good opponent to fight compare if he will lose unto this fight where Inoue might think that he's not worth it since he didn't even win his last fight.

Also maybe Inoue vs Casimero will go first before that Donaire vs Casimero fight happens.

I hope so because it's long overdue already, we've see an Inoue vs Donaire fight already, so we already have an idea of a possible result of the fight, but an Inoue vs Casimero fight, this is something specially, one champion is challenging another champion, so this should happen.
2972  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 30, 2021, 11:35:52 AM
Well, I don't know... would it be advantageous to change Ariza? (is he playing well?)
In my opinion, I believe they could change Ariza, put Melo (SF) maybe.
Or, LeBron (SF), AD (PF) and DeAndre Jordan or Dwight Howard (C), well I don't know if everyone is 100% healthy.
Nah, Carmelo isn't a good starter for this Laker first five. I'd rather like to see Dwight starting at the Center than Davis. I mean Davis is injury prone and he'll beat himself battling under the basket with the rebounds against the opponent's backboard. The Lakers should take good care of AD maybe put him at the PF position.
Another, notable line up for the Lakers is the 2nd unit. They have a very good depth If everyone is healthy.
Nunn, Melo, DeAndre, Rondo, THT, and Ellington.
This will be a challenge for Frank Vogel on how he's going to handle with a team of superstars.

^ I personally feel that Davis is a better PF than he is a Center.  Both he and Dwight have the same height which is 2.08meter, but I think he excels at the PF position than the Center and maybe Dwight takes rebounds better than Davis. So if Davis is played as the PF, maybe Lebron can be played as the SG? Or as Davis is injury prone, he can share his minutes with Carmelo Anthony which could also be a good idea. So WB in PG, Lebron in SG, Davis as PF, and Dwight as the Center, and the other position could also be rotated.

LeBron usually plays in the SF position where he's more comfortable with. Though the way he plays is a Point Forward, but with Westbrook in the line up, LeBron might lessen the load he had when they have no  reliable PG in carrying the team.
While Davis must be in the PF position, I don't trust him in the Center position, not because he can't play that position but because he is so fragile. One injury will make him sit half the regular season lol.

I thought Lebron is playing the PG position ever since he arrived at LA Lakers.

This is a test for him not to touch the ball more often playing like a PG as he has already Westbrook whom I believe could be so aggressive and destroying the defense of the opposing team, and not only that, he does not have a lot of problems because Lebron and Davis will always be in his side.

GOOD LUCK PACMAN AND  THANKS FOR EVERYTHING Cry

We will never see the same fighter again, Casimero and other young Filipino talents do not have the skills and talent Pacquiao has, so Pacquiao will remain as the greatest boxer in the Philippines and probably in the whole world. The pressure in Politics I think made him retire because he said he will have a rematch with Ugas but still, he would not win since he would lack training since he is running for the Presidency.
2974  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 29, 2021, 07:34:22 PM
Does the Los Angeles Lakers this year have really a chance to dominate the league with this team? there's no doubt that they are one of the strong teams in the NBA this year but if they don't maintain a healthy body throughout the season then they might end up like how they were last season even though they have players like Westbrook in their roosters right now because the other team has some strong roosters too.
<snip>
Ohh, that's a classic one but I think at the East I'm still rooting it will be the defending champs Bucks or the good looking roster of Miami Heat. As far as I'm concern on the side of the West I'm still with Suns or the Clippers having Bledsoe back was definitely a good option they've got. Regarding healthy for the future games no one can predict the outcome on that, but I think Lakers is too fine for this.

The only thing that could set back the Lakers would be the player's health and injuries. So as they have a pretty good squad depth, the manager can easily rotate the squad by giving everyone the minutes and also playing the crucial players rotatively. They have an insane amount of attacking power with Lebron, Westbrook, Anthony Davis, and Carmelo Anthony. Lebron is an overall well rounded player and he can do everything with Davis is very injury prone so he has to be very careful with his plays.
There was a saying that if you play with the best players in the world, you will also get better, I don't know maybe you will be pressure or you will feel the confidence that the people surrounding you will make the team successful. So this coming season, I think lots of players will step up aside from the popular names that are already consistent with their stats.

Ginebra's stint for this cup comes to an end. TNT advances to the semis. Great game for TNT, been a close fight for the first 2 quarters, but on the 3rd and 4th TNT just took off. Pogoy and Rosario, played very well in this game. It seems that the Gins just collapsed, entering the 3rd quarter and TNT comes out on fire. Well let's see if TNT could go all the way in this Cup.
But that's still good, at least they were able to complete although they are undermanned. TNT is really good this season, so I would not be surprised if they will win the championship as they have been dominating, it's a wrong decision why TNT change their coach in the past, now Chot Reyes is really doing special like he always does.
2976  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 28, 2021, 10:10:18 PM
Between Murray- MPJ - Gordon - Jokic they have 4 great players that can play together for a very long time.

Exactly. When reading about Big three. I was thinking this exactly. Nuggets have big four.  Aaron Gordon played only 35 games last year in Denver. Players need some time to adapt to play on their best level.

I'm not a huge Gordon fan, and honestly don't know how he fits in there.  Their team will run around Jamal, joker and mjp.  He has flashes of excitement but his game is tough to play around.  He should lock up the defense, rebounding and alley oop role.  Any other time with the ball isn't a plus for the team.
I'm optimistic he will fit with the Nuggets because he got a contract extension and with the action of the Nuggets, they believe that Gordon will be able to deliver, and for sure they will not waste the talent of Gordon which does not only do well in offense but most especially to their defense.

I mean I get why Denver did it but that doesn't mean he will fit in with the team.  Plenty of people have gotten big long contracts from teams and it didn't work.  I don't know maybe I'm looking at it wrong but to me his skillet is better suited for a half court slow it down grind it out team where this Denver team has a nice flow to it.  Just seems like the odd man out to me.

I guess the first season he played with the Nuggets though not complete would already give him a lesson on how to be effective on his rule. The coming season is vital to determine if he really suits ot the team, and if he made some big contribution, then they will be a championship this season though we have the Lakers and the Nets who are obviously the heavy favorites.

Not an impressive average but the impact on the floor is very impressive, and it's understandable since SMB has a lot of scorers who is willing to drop huge points every game. They have Romeo who is very consistent (might make more when he comes back from injury), and now they also have Cabagnot who just returned from injury, this SMB is a scary team, they are undoubtedly the best team now.

On paper, they are the best team in the PBA right now and all the pieces in the puzzle have taken their place just right on time before the semis begin. Terrence Romeo will be entering the bubble and he will be a big help on their quest for the championship this season. CJ Perez will just be a backup in case one of the starters would be having an off night, he should be used to it as not all the time that his scoring is needed.

Anyonw knows when is the Ginebra vs TNT game?
CJ needs to always be ready when coach picks him up. He needs to comply and be there to help in terms of both offense and defense. The kid still young and he has lots of things to be learned from SMB squad. We will see him keep improving his skills and adding more for his experienced, SMB have a full of talents where he can adopt and use it for the best benefits of his entire career. '

SMB is now more solid after Cabagnot, then Romeo is also coming to add up. It's time for them to blend the right sets of players inside the court and make sure to play as one and not individually.

Semis is coming and one more game for SMB to move upward. Good luck!

CJ is always ready, when Romeo was injured, he help the team a lot while the respect for his teammates is still there, he doesn't think that he is a superstar, instead, he remains humble having in mind that he can learn more from the veterans who already made championship together. The recipe of success of the SMB is not their individual talents, it's their chemistry that a player is willing to contribute to make everyone better.
2978  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 28, 2021, 01:37:03 PM
Michael Porter Jr just secured his $200 Million + bag. I guess the Nuggets can stop making him sit the bench now. He’s an incredible talent and I’ve thought for a while now that the Nuggets were keeping his minutes down to secure a long term deal. Now that he’s signed for several years I expect the Nuggets are going to make a legitimate deep run into the playoffs this year if they can get and stay healthy.

They have 2-year great playoffs run and third from the best records in 2020 NBA season. So, I guess they're keeping their good roster and improve their chemistry and rotation. MPJ is a good addition to Nuggets' offensive power averaging 19ppg and above 40% 3pt fg. With his size he could actually be a good defender and a rebounder.
$200m max contract is well deserved for this young talent.
That's a great contract for a young player, he looks like a superstar of a team but I believe that the Nuggets management knows what they are doing. During the playoffs, his contribution was not consistent, hopefully he will feel the pressure to be better as he made the biggest contract of his life in the NBA.

Give the kid some time, he might have been overwhelmed by the playoffs that's why he is inconsistent. Overall though, Porter Jr, has some nice performance and complimented Jokic.

Maybe things he can improved is his defense, he is already a offensive player, and perhaps to become a complete talent now in the NBA, you need not only produce points but to be a good defender as that is the key to victory specially in a very close game.

He has to improve that too because he can't take for granted this big responsibility of him, he has the height and the physicality, so he just has to work harder and continue aiming for improvement every season.

His 2nd season with the Nuggets had really improved, so probably that's their basis, and by the way, speaking of young, he is only 22 years old, so more seasons for him if he remains healthy and probably a bigger contract if he improves well.

https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/p/portemi01.html

9.3 PTS in 2019-2020 then jumped to 19 PTS last season, probably the injury of Murray gives him more playing time to show his talent.

Anyonw knows when is the Ginebra vs TNT game?

The schedule is already out, you can see on their website, https://pba.ph/.. we have two games tomorrow.

first game is NLEX vs BOLTS at 3 pm
second game is Ginebra vs TNT at 6pm

I'm betting on the TNT to win here.

I guess the line says that TNT would easily win this game.

I'm not sure what happen but TNT is currently -7.5 against the Ginebra, is this line correct or Ginebra really is not doing well against a good team like TNT. For those who still believe that Ginebra has a chance to upset the TNT, the moneyline odds is very attractive, at 3.70 now with boost.
