Clermont putting up a strong resistance against PSG that earned them equal points with PSG is something I see as almost normal with smaller teams when they meet with bigger teams, they usually try their best to make sure they put up good performance against big teams and possibly win them so it adds to their records that they have some good strength, this is common even in other leagues.

But I think with that performance Clermont had, if they can maintain such against Lyon , they are most likely to get a win because Lyon is not in that very excellent form considering all the happenings in the club recently, it could be an advantage for Clermont if only they can utilize it enough. I agree with you strongly, Bayern Munich has the best chance to lead the group with the highest point current in the group. If they win their next match against Galatasaray they need no much effort again to be at the next stage of the league and I'm very optimistic about that as Bayern seem to be giving so much to making sure they get it right at the champions league.

If you put age into consideration, by 2026 I don't think his form will still be that perfect enough, to be able to play productively in the world cup, he will be 39 or 40 by 2026, a 40 year old man on the pitch can never be compared with the young minds and players who will be at the world cup the, he might be good enough but will definitely not be able to perform optimally, definitely not complete 90mins.

He can be substituted but I doubt if he will be able to play 90mins but then he will be better if he is in the Coaching crew assisting them with some good ideas and tactics, he will be better with technical advises to the team of coach for his national team than he would be on the pitch, his experience will be a very useful contribution to them if he should be advising them.
