2961  Other / Meta / Re: [TOP-200] The most generous users giving merits on: October 08, 2021, 09:29:21 AM
I thought about doing that recently, and perhaps I should.  I haven't seen a merit giveaway thread in a long, long time, and the last one was by actmyname if I'm not mistaken.  The only issue I have is that the members who post in them don't read the requirements, don't understand that I wouldn't just be giving merit away for shitposts, and that if I created such a thread it would just die off like the other ones have.  I suppose I could keep bumping it, but I think I've made the offer enough times that anyone who thinks their posts would hold up to my standards would have PMed me by now.
But I'll consider it.
You are already merit showering the users who have good post quality and came into your eyes and i am one of them and still you have the generous offer of PM which members can avail to have a post history check and if you find it suitable you are generous enough to merit them upto the limit of 50 in a month.Like recently you merit shower @Mpamegbu, @icopress,@showoff and some others also which is quite good.

Opening a merit giveaway thread will have certain limitations like you said bumping them as members don't take full advantage of such threads and keep on repeating and making threads like how to earn merits and all that. But still you could open a thread for helping users to achieve certain ranks like of @Ratimov but for me your current merit criteria sounds better.
2962  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Scam tokens are on the raise. on: October 08, 2021, 09:12:56 AM
What makes scammers prefer binance smart chain over other chains is the ease of creating smart contracts and the cheap fees for deploying them and sending transactions. This is why you'll see more scam tokens on bsc than any other chain.
It doesn't mean that bsc is less secure.

And if am not wrong, the same thing happened on the ethereum network in the past when fees were way lower. But back then, it was used for spamming (advertising) more than scamming.
The main people are victims of scam is that they don't prefer to do any kind of research before investing the funds into that particular shitcoin which is not going to give them any kind of return but they have been under the influence of others and in the era of shitcoins hype have invested in it.Now the prices are already up and they think it will give them million dollars of profits. They never make upto the expected mark and also loose the initial capital also.Take example of doge or shibu ina at this time as they are two most hyped one at this time but what utility or security do they provide to users? The whales wallet contain all the concentrated supply and they can dump the market any time so what's the fun of holding them. There is one very interesting meme for the @OP thread which suits this one :

The exchange can be any if the hackers or say team behind that coin has aim of looting the funds from newbies then it could be BSC or Eth blockchain as both have same possibilities. There could be bugs through which hackers can also scam you of funds like in many DeFi projects in which million of users lost funds to hack. For example the polygon network who was scammed for millions of dollars due to a security breach and see the outcomes.

The newbie need to think and have proper research before investing money and if possible avoid these shitcoins as much you can.Rest your funds your decision.

They have decided 4 names for the latest Rollbot and the community will decide the winner for the same to have $500 with his idea and most of the votes are of Patriotbot which is also interesting one.

https://twitter.com/rollbitcom/status/1445813408503418881?t=eyXpqa-mWdPVAMzRo0vShg&s=19

You can also suggest according to what came in your mind and it could be anything and if they like it you just have $500 with you.

2966  Other / Meta / Re: apology on: October 07, 2021, 11:32:46 AM
I'm sorry for your loss, it's a shame that a high rank like you got banned. Clearly because you weren't following the rules, it took a lot of effort for you to become a full member rank and it's such a waste.
It took no effort whatsoever. Baihaki Khaizan has 100 merits, sure, but those are all airdropped merits. He hasn't earned a single merit since the feature got rolled out. That tells you a lot about the kind of poster OP is. His rank is based on activity points only and those can be awarded for bla bla posts and low-effort posting as well.
As the @OP stated that his rice meals are dependent on the bounty campaign on the forum which is suspicious as bounties are generally paying after some time gap and that's not much until the token get listed on any of exchange. So if we take into this case also he is also writing up the posts as well on the forum and accused of plagrisim for his post which is big mistake as if you are writing up on the forum then it's necessary to read the rules also.

Speaking of posts quality then it's not worth that he could not manage to gain even a single merit and all those 100 are awarded as airdrop as account is 2017 registered and this is surprising that he still don't know the rules. The forum could be leninat if you are asset to the forum and you have some solid evidence to support your ban appeal. If you was aware of writing up the thread in meta about the same then you should have also read the rules at first instance.

Joining bounties for survival is not a good point to defend yourself.
2967  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk Youtube channel - what would you like to see? on: October 07, 2021, 10:17:25 AM
I'm just hoping it won't be that much longer, because I'm excited about the channel.  Even if it's not perfect (which I'm almost certain it won't be), I'll still be a subscriber and watch every video that's put out.
We are also hoping to have some announcement soon because having a legit bitcointalk channel not promoting any fake coins and shilling out the repeated old crap that we are currently having on bitcoin YouTube related channels. That is why the curiousty is high and will also be taking out time to watch every session of the video uploaded.

Hear, hear.  The upswing in bitcoin's price certainly is a welcoming distraction from the absence of bitcointalk's Youtube channel--but I'll still be waiting with eager anticipation for its release.
The price diversion are also incentivising the holders who have the teared the bears apart and that is great news for all of us but now there are next targets locked like new ATH for bitcoin and channel's teaser to be out.

Video production has a lot of pitfalls, and what you might think would take a week, might actually take four weeks. The times which I've actually wanted to capture something, and then edit it together has taken me a lot longer than anticipated, I know I'm not particularly skilled in that department, and the team they've got working on this should be, however I can understand running into snags, especially if Cyrus is overseeing this, and the team is capturing it, since it might not be to Cyrus' tastes the first few times they watch the footage back.
I remember once my friend who was putting YouTube videos for one of small company and it takes lot of editing and software then generating quality content and then working on the script and lot of other work is involved so i can truly understand the situation of having not a dedicated team for each work will take time to deliver the quality products. So it's completely fine if they are taking time as we have waited so many years without any hope but now everything is finalised and just a little time would make it more impressive for sure.

I know that you don't mean that about theymos exclusively and that you are referring to the whole admin team, but is theymos even involved in the YouTube project?
I also don't think so that he is involved as @Cyrus has said that all the funds were being managed by him and he is working for the channel so don't think so that he is also involved in this Bitcointalk show channel.
2968  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Give this bitcoin test... on: October 07, 2021, 09:57:45 AM
Here is my test score, and while they appear to be easy at first glance, there are certain statistical questions that require further research.

But, this thread has been derailed by arguments from top members.
They are easy to moderate ranging from different sections and if you read them thoroughly you will understand them also for further knowledge.

The ongoing discussion was about criminal activities concerning bitcoin which is indeed in the test for all of us and it's fair to discuss about it and we can't call it derailing from the topic.

Not really.

Bot usually will be needed while the operator or live support is not online or standby, and a bot can be used for almost general questions so while the question already has some answer you don't need "Live Chat with Operator". If you contacting support but answering some bot, they still can stored the conversation and after the operator is online they will contacting you via email.
Live  support wont be always be handled out would real person/staff.It isnt really that having that 24/7 kind of schedule unless if a certain site is really that somewhat busy on making out some shifts but most of the time

people do really ask out very common questions which means bot should really be enough and its just a little effort for someone on verifying or seeking out answers in regards of their concern.

It isnt really just always that we do need people to answer those issues or queries.
Mostly the basic questions are assigned with the bot and then a ticket is generated on which the technical team work and try to resolve it having the contact with the client who has raised the ticket. But yes bots are helpful but the main point of contacting the team is to have real support to make clarifications and that's why most of the casino have support team dedicated to this work.
2972  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: October 06, 2021, 07:34:48 AM

I gamble with very tiny amounts, sometimes as low as whatever lowest is allowed (which in many cases lowest number like 1 satoshi) and I end up gambling for months, which means I do end up gambling a good amount without losing too much of my money.

Even in a quick situation, I could martingale with a very tiny amount which would mean 10+ losses in a row to make me lose all my bankroll, arrange it accordingly when there is a good win streak and just keep it going for few hours and it works like a charm to get my wagering high.
Many are still the small gamblers who wagers tiny amount like you and keep on with that same format and can end up with huge wins or loss in the end.But all players have different strategies like yours is Martingale and keep the betting in row after the loses. So it all depends on our preferences and this NFT trend and giveaway is quite amazing for all the players with that much money also.

It's not a one-man video crew. Guess we now have one less excuse if we miss the mid-September launch  Grin

A gentle reminder: tomorrow is Sep, 15th, a.k.a. mid September.

Staring at the Calendar, day 3.
Please @Cyrus, I am holding my breath!

I have also been teased of a teaser!

It's October 5th in forum time. Half of the world is already on Oct 6th.
Wondering if we will ever have an official update on this.

I assume if there hasn't been an update it's because they're busy working on bringing a quality product to the table.  I'd rather wait and have something I'd want to watch then not have to wait and not be able to get through the video because it's so poorly done.  With this project, it's quite possible they'll only have 1 chance to grab a major chunk of this community as followers.  I doubt many people would dislike the first video and then come back to check out the second.  They need to make a good impression and I have faith that's what they're spending their time doing.
I know quality work takes time with less workforce dedicated for the completion of the task.Hoping that they might be coming up with some new parts aside from the suggested ones for the channel to make an impression over the audience. But actually it's the curiousity of all the forum lovers to have eyes on it.The update was for mid September and we are coming a month ahead of it so asking for an update is just fine.

Till then celebrate $50k mark for bitcoin and 21 followers for the @btctalkshow twitter handle.Maybe mid October for teaser?
2974  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Give this bitcoin test... on: October 06, 2021, 07:02:50 AM
So far many members have scored well in this test and others who don't Just don't think it was competition but a test for your knowledge only and you could possibly have a chance to learn of which you were not aware of.So keep trying.

Waiting for more responses  Cheesy
2975  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Past three months bitcoin journey on: October 06, 2021, 06:46:58 AM

All fair points, but only time and Bitcoin market maturity will dislodge gold bugs from their stance. We've to remember retail gold buying and investing (not considering traditional gold hoarding with jewellery) also took a while to show up and shed the arguments of "too expensive" and "too complicated to own".

They're definitely not losing their fanbase any time soon, but when banks are already discovering how difficult it is to obtain gold, that squeeze on retail availability will force people to look hard and long at Bitcoin as the very visible, increasingly viable alternative.
The time will make gold and other all financial assets an alternate to bitcoin and more and more people who like to keep the gold bars in bank lockers and in jewellery form will find that it was not worth.Imagine the people who bought gold in recent years and now if they have some research not dumb minded ones who completely rely on gold is heaven can find out it is worth $995 for an $1000 investment and that's how they call it future guaranteed investment schemes?

You are right on the point that community is not going to lose fanbase easily but they are witnessing breakdown. The gold has been here for years and before the fiat also so it has trust over the people and moreover government and mainstream media is not portraying it under illicit usage and people can hold it easily due to legal status. But slowly and gradually this all beliefs will be washed away and bitcoin will be the priority for them but it might get too late as boat might have left the harbour.

Hopefully you can continue to add to OP in order that we can see all of the data in one place.

Of course, you do not necessarily need to show all of your investments if you have some preference for OPsec, but the extent that you want to maintain some aspect of your investment as a kind of real world learning tool, then it would be helpful to either put it all in one place or to have a reference to the places that it is located so that an overall and ongoing picture can be appreciated.
Will merge all the reports of my DCA investment in one place for sure as it will have proper clarity to all the members and they don't need to surf through all the pages to find about the next investment. This months updates will be made to @OP only and thanks for suggestion @JJG.

It may be helpful to look at a chart of the gold prices in the past 50 years in order to get some kind of idea bout what is going on in regards to performance that would thereby affect perceptions of possible future performance.

https://goldprice.org/spot-gold.html

The fact of the matter seems to be that in the past 10 years, gold is barely keeping pace with inflation.. so of course there were price spikes in the late 70s, there was a price spike from about 2002 to 2011 and then there was a recent price spike from about 2018 to early 2021.
It is now performing worse than even dead stocks which managed to rise 1-2% after some time and give the holders a little hope but on the contrary basis nobody talks about it and people are not panic selling it at this time. But the thing is now the investors are smart and not preferring gold bars that can't cope up with the inflation also. But bitcoin has grown 62000% in period of only 13 years and just imagine the world is still to recognise it's importance and in coming year's when all will  accept it the prices will skyrocket to new levels.Still who get a chance to have btc at $40k were lucky.
2976  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 06, 2021, 02:50:14 AM
4 years ago...

We sure did, Jamie... We sure did.

Have you forget his last reply after 4 years which seems he has accepted his defeat and as bitcoin proved him and every other person who believe it was bubble.

Now he says the prices could x10 in next years and now he might be thinking stupid himself not to recognise the potential of bitcoin at that time and now providing the same services. What an irony. Those who think btc is bubble and dips/crash are permanent need not to enter the market and enjoy with fiat and ruin their future.

There is one more report similar to this in economist which indicates how time flies and now we read articles btc is must from btc is bubble

There are many others who have and will change their statements and accept the reality bitcoin is the future.

I read everywhere that Facebook is down, but I just logged in to my account and it works fine.
Mostly the social platforms owned by Facebook including instagram were down for long time and it was longest breakdown in history that cost Mark Zuckerberg $7 billion off the net worth within that time frame.

Dorsey and others mocked them hard last night.
2979  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Past three months bitcoin journey on: October 05, 2021, 11:39:03 AM
LOL.. this thread has an eerie resemblance to another thread, which was posted last year:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5298939.0

That one dealt with an user from Turkey giving up on his smoking habit, and instead investing in Bitcoin. But unfortunately, he stopped posting in that thread after two months, and I assume that he relapsed on his habit. Now I don't want to compare junk food with smoking, but in both cases the user benefitted in the end from better health and more disposable funds in hand.
I have also read this thread in the past and the user you are referring to gave up on updating the thread after two months and his last post on forum was in February 2021 although he is still active today but not posting. So don't know his reasons for doing that but surely my case is entirely different from him as i am going to update the thread on regular basis and gave up my junk food and put DCA till the time i feel it's all good.

How long will you manage to continue this investment strategy mate? before the pandemic attack i almost do the same thing as yours, all of my Signature payments are indeed stays in bitcoin weekly.
Not fixed time period for my investment strategy but will keep on doing till the time I managed to save funds to accumulate more and more bitcoin. This could be 6 month's or 3-5 years also. But will try to keep this as long as possible because of profits that will be served to my total networth.

I accumulate more than what you are having now but suddenly pandemic comes and all i need to do is withdraw all of the amount and put in real life investment in which i use to survive the lockdown and losing of my Job, now that i am recovering i start holding again and hope this time will continue till the next years of my bitcoin partaking .
This pandemic was a time when we all were locked inside and many face similar situations like you when the personal savings of many got consumed and bitcoin investments are also saving to help us and whenever we are in urgent need we can take out the funds and use them.Like we cannot hold btc for long knowing that we could not survive financial damage in real life because that's what we make investment for to gain profits as well use them when necessary aside from other sources of income. Not to worry you can still stack your btc as there is time and keep up DCA and you will again reach your goal.

Does Roobet have a Telegram or Twitter account? I know that LNOclub has a twitter for support and MixerCasino uses the 0xMonero Telegram and MixerCasino Twitter for support. Support channels are very important for a casino, you shouldn't deposit funds in a casino that doesn't have responsive support.
Roobet have both telegram and twitter accounts but as far I know they didn't use them to addressing people's queries
They already had live support on-site and in my opinion its quite responsive, so people no need to looking for assistance through social media
Those social media account of roobet only use to promote events and other specific situation happening inside the site but not addressing peoples concern \
because there are a relevant place when to discuss those and that is the live support in which they can put all their queries .
and also they can file tickets if ever they need to claim something that has issues.

Any withdrawal issues have tickets assigned to them as reference to the complaint and whenever the issue is resolved by the team the ticket is closed and all this needs to be managed via live support and email and social media platforms are Designed and dedicated to all the marketing related issues and giveaways usually. They have set proper functioning of each account and perform accordingly.
