2961  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have your winnings lured someone into gambling ? on: November 07, 2022, 09:11:29 AM
Since I don't share it anymore, I don't have a friend like this. But let's put it into crypto investing, I've influenced several of my friends to invest a few into crypto and I think that if I tell them that there's also a chance for them to have some and lose some with gambling, they will try it.
I also have some big wins in gambling but I am not sharing them for now because my friends are not ready for it, so I also invite them to know about trading first and later they will also decide to follow my steps in gambling, another reason that I don't want them to suffer losses from their personal assets but they can use some of the trading profits brought in for gambling.
It's gonna be step by step and let's see if they're really into it. And I'll only do that if they've shown interest but if not, then I won't be giving them hint or clue about gambling.

It's better be left to themselves and let them discover what gambling is and have their willingness to do it on their own. Because if they do that, it only means that they understand the risk they're taking.

Agreed, but mostly if they gamble because they saw your winnings and are hoping they can also win that much, it will lead to losses. People are always seeing the good sides, like the money he won, and not the downside, which is that they only know that once he won it, he had already spent a lot of money playing on it. People are only thinking one-sidedly, which is why they lose. We should first know the risk of it so that we will not expect that we will also win like others did. Though it is also best to experience it by losing so that they can learn from it, it is a hard experience since you'll be losing money.
2962  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much was your last big win? on: November 07, 2022, 04:23:52 AM
In my few years in cryptocurrency gambling, I have never experienced the big money here, sometimes I even envy other players here in crypto gambling who win big money.

Maybe the only big amount I've won is around 25-30$, even though until now I've never won more than that amount, I'm often a total loser.
There many persons here with similar results and we just need to keep trying our best so that we can finally become a lucky person having a big win that will surprised the world. There is virtue in consistency and we should not stop doing what we are doing could will finally yield result. I can see that some persons here are so fortunate to have big wins that are more than $1k which are consistent. Since the way many of us gamble is very different and the funds that is used are different too, then we should not aim to have the same result with others.
Those who want to get rich through gambling have also experienced that it not always what you plan and wished is not happening
While aiming to be rich you can be poor person at the same time

I think mostly those who are buying lottery tickets, as well as myself, are hoping that it could strike me luck on that day winning the mega jackpot and we could survive this difficult life. Though it doesn't mean that I am just relying on it, I just want to try my luck since there is a probability that I could win rather than not trying my luck. Those people who really gamble a lot, like the money they used was intended for something but it turns out they will lose, will end up becoming poor.
2963  Other / Archival / Re: Entrepreneurship or Office job? on: November 07, 2022, 12:56:45 AM
The struggle between the decision of being your own boss and working under someone is becoming more difficult to make as economic situations become tougher. From evaluation around me, self proclaimed entrepreneurs are quitting entrepreneurship because of difficulty in maintaining a business and reduced sales due to reduced purchasing power from people, an effect of the economic situation. Office workers on the other hand who also have been on one salary grade for a long time now are becoming fed up with how their monthly salary is no longer sufficient to secure a comfortable lifestyle for a month also due to the higher cost of living. What do you think is the way forward?

In short, the advantages of entrepreneurship are being able to freely use ideas, flexible working hours, opening up job opportunities for those in need, and being the boss of your own business. but if you want to be an entrepreneur, of course the main requirement that you have to prepare is capital regardless of the economic crisis that hit the world.

On the other hand, office workers are generally defined as administrative, managerial, and professional work performed by a company or office. fields of work related to business management, financial accounting, to marketing.

These two categories have different plus points.
but if you become an office worker, of course you will have a fixed salary, minimal risk, regular working hours, and all things related to it.

Well, for me at this time I choose to become a worker, but if I have enough capital I will switch to being an entrepreneur.

Both of them are good they have their pros and cons ,office job is less risky, fixed working hours, fixed salary, other facilties and entrepreneurs or business is very risky, flexible working hours, income keeps on fluctuating too depending upon profits. But I think office job is a much safer and permanent option and it should never be left if you have any and if you want to do some business do sideways invest in small business let's wait for the results first  and if it works than think about quitting options.

Agree, but if business will be successful then it can make you rich. As other said there is no one going to be rich in working 8 -5pm business is really the key to success. Office set up is you are really us secured that you'll be getting money, which is good for people that have a family like me so that we do have money to spend on our daily needs, but I really want to invest into business, but I am scared if it wouldn't be successful since the consequence is that ill be in debt and without money.
2964  Economy / Economics / Re: House is a forced saving on: November 06, 2022, 01:47:58 PM
If it’s a house you plan on living for rest of your life then it shouldn’t matter what it’s worth. In fact it’s better if it’s worth less so there are less property taxes.

Many people in certain cities own million dollar houses, however are they rich? No. They sell and what then. They still need a place to live. So it’s not speculation for every home owner unlike the investors.

I think it's their business? buy and sell houses. They are not rich because they own a house; they are just earning some profit to make a living. Also, we couldn't say that an investor is rich just because they have enough money to invest; we all have our own hustles; let's just respect each other as they are just making a living. You can see a lot of things associated with rich people, such as premium cars, very expensive clothes, etc.
2965  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Every Informed person needs to know this😬 on: November 06, 2022, 10:41:35 AM
“Every informed person needs to know about Bitcoin because it might be one of the world’s most important developments."

I think most of us here in the forum already knew about Bitcoin, and we are believing in it. I don't know what your point is in all of this, but I am hoping that you, as the author, also believe in it. So far, Bitcoin has a bright future ever since the multiple ATH that it got. But five years ago, only a few people knew it, but now we are really expecting that Bitcoin will go big, but we don't know when. Aside from the fact that we are earning from it, we are also expecting it to be the first widely used digital currency.
2966  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My thoughts and now my experience. on: November 06, 2022, 08:58:29 AM
With cryptocurrency becoming more popular, newbies these days are very aggresive when they invest on crypto which most of them think that it is a quick rich scheme. They are easily influenced on what they saw on internet platforms like tiktok or youtube. They are too focused on the potential profit of investing in crypto that they tend to forgot learning its fundamentals.
This is the mindset of every newbie, they only see cryptocurrency as something that can only bring profits.  Most newbie are not aware that crypto is volatile because most of them fails to make research to understand what crypto is all about. I have been lots of people who are making plans to start up cryptocurrency and all this people I have seen they have the same mindset toward cryptocurrency. Newbies finds it difficult to do some research about cryptocurrency to understand the risk factors .

People should take the crypto space as a site for business, but what they do is they treat it as a gambling house. Many people think they will make a lot of money even if they put their money in a meme project which team has promised it to be the next shiba inu or doge coin. Trusting project team also a mistake that newbie does when entering this market.
You are correct, many people are unable to see the difference and they think that just because they are part of this market and they put money in one of the thousands of coins in this market then they are traders already, but this is a lie, to become a trader you need at least a few months of arduous study and most likely you will need years before you can actually trade with the skill necessary to make money in the markets, and this explains why we see so many people losing money in the market as deep down they did not knew what they were doing.

I think you are referring to professional trader which has a long I think you are referring to a professional trader who has long experience trading cryptocurrencies. You are already a trader once you hit the buy and sell buttons, no matter if you have no knowledge at all or are a newbie, but that doesn't mean that you can start making money right away. That's where practice, reading, and learning everything about trading come in. There are no certificates or years that could now lead you to conclude that you are a trader. Earning a profit from trading really requires a lot of patience and years of understanding before you see the results of it.
2967  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fees on Dormant Accounts on Crypto Gambling Platforms on: November 06, 2022, 07:16:23 AM
I am not surprised to know about this. There are all kind of companies in the world who do these things mainly to remain profitable.

Yes, that's for sure.

I don't know if this applies in fiat casinos or in the ones where I play poker, as I play regularly. In any case, a fee of this kind does not seem so strange to me. It is clear that casinos, just like banks, are interested in keeping the money moving. Of course, if I were one of those who spend time without gambling, I would not leave my funds in the casino to be charged up to 15% monthly fees.

Ohh, I really haven't heard that they will get fees because of the doorman account. I only received a message that my account will be disabled if I haven't visited for 30 days. But having fees is good because they can maintain their database and its security, but the problem is that it's too huge. I have no problem with it, but I don't know why you leave money on online casinos when it's better to withdraw it because we don't know if they will just get hold of money, for whatever reason. Just to be safe, withdraw your money.
2968  Economy / Gambling / Re: Top Halloween Online Casino Bonus or Promo on: November 06, 2022, 05:53:24 AM
We will see with what's with the casinos for this Black Friday. It's three weeks away and I think most of them will going to give us some good bonuses and promos that we'll be enticed to try most of them.

Those that have missed out the Halloween promos and bonuses from their favorite casinos. It's not going to be the last of it for this month, there will be more and even more by the next months.

And likely during the first month of 2023, what are the casinos that have the most promos right now? I am sure that we've got a lot to pick but what's currently you seeing that offers the best?
next month we still have Christmas and new year events, I think there are also many promotions and bonuses until next month, if you ask what casino has the most promotion I think almost all casinos provide promotions and bonuses for all their users in different ways of course, but it should be noted also don't be swayed by big bonuses and promotions and then we forget and play on scam casino sites, so always make sure to ask the old casino players income who is on this forum to give recommendations of that casino site  Wink
Yes, there are more to come.

And those events are going to be for the other threads that will be made by us, don't know. Yeah, most casinos do have their own and unique way of offering those bonuses and promos.

But certainly there will be a few of them that will stand out the most and that's where most gamblers are going during those seasons of their promos and giveaways which is also awaited by many. Because it depends on how generous they are.
yes of course there will be a lot of new threads about it, advice also for beginners to prioritize to ask people in the forums also about the casino site they want to play on whether they are scammers or not, because it is necessary usually people are tempted by promotions and bonuses in the end they playing on a casino site that is a scammer, so beginners need to research it first to try the promotions and bonuses provided sometimes there are some requirements or rules that must be followed because sometimes many violate it

Search results from Google are also not reliable, as some websites have been paid to write good and reputable content for their websites. This is mostly the case now; it was highly rated when it was reviewed on a website, but it turned out to be a scam. This forum is really transparent on everything. The truth is, I mostly rely on the feedback here in the forum rather than the results of a Google search because I want to hear from those people who have experienced it and are sharing it here.
2969  Economy / Gambling / Re: Do you visit the casino while travelling? on: November 06, 2022, 04:08:40 AM
Sometimes yes I visit one or two casinos while in transit but not all the time since not many such casinos are available in my country, but regular gambling has been the way forward for many in this region.

We should because it's because of this pandemic that for a year or two we haven't visited any casinos. But after the pandemic, I still haven't visited a casino because I still haven't traveled, and I think it would cost me time. I only usually play online at home with a beer in my hand just to chill, but if ever I had enough time while traveling for a vacation, that would be on my list of places to visit. Also, casinos are very rare in our place, so if we have one nearby, that is worth visiting.
2970  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Parents And Their Children In Gambling.. on: November 06, 2022, 03:25:06 AM
Well as we all know, children have to be taught the value of money and that money is earned with the sweat of their brows, sometimes there are parents who have very good purchasing power and are allowed to give their children everything, but you also have to let them know that things are obtained according to the effort that has been made, sometimes it is a mistake to make things so easy for children, and guidance should always be a right that every child should always have, and the responsibility of their parents so that their children are formed as good people and always value the things that they can give them.

The problem for something like this is when we as parents can teach it but we also can't apply it to ourselves, obviously this will be the real problem.
Reflecting on the case given by the OP about Michael Jordan and Marcus Jordan, it is clear that the behavior of parents' lives also affects it because if parents have hedonistic traits then indeed their children will not be far from it even though the child is taught to know the value of money and look for it. quite difficult. Because this kind of education would be better accompanied by examples of parental behavior, not just saying theory, but parents managing and wasting money badly.
^Definitely right and you should be their mirror, as a good example during parenting, our child will surely have a good result and probably this was not shown with Michael Jordan to his child Marcus Jordan, instead, he spoiled it, and even though it is not good he still supporting it.
Sometimes I am thinking that probably that is how way rich people treat their loved ones, they are so much busy and don't have time to watch their children during parenthood, and giving money is the only way to show their love and now become the worst which is wasting money.
for our parents - gambling is a sin and they would die of heart attack if they get to know that their children are gambling.

Your family is really religious. We respect this since we know gambling is also banned in religious countries, which all of us should respect and not say anything about. You should follow what is good for you and your family and not get tempted by it. I am hopeful that you can prevent yourself from committing sin. My parents are allowing me to gamble, but they will still give me advice not to overdo it so that I can still control my losses.
2971  Economy / Gambling / Re: Vulnerabilities in gambling websites in past on: November 06, 2022, 02:37:57 AM
Here's some similar scenario but this one only talks about 35 BTC.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1340581.0

It was on Rollin.io which is already dead or down as of this moment.Nothing on this world is unhackable no matter how tough the security would be. Tongue

But in the case of the casino, once it's hacked that's the end of that casino, only big casinos offer refunds or protect their player's money compared to exchanges where they can do a refund and insured their trader's money, I don't think there's the same guarantee that they can offer that they will do a refund.
Real world Casino or online Casino? If its online Casino then they are not safe, there should be a form of reimbursement if hacks happen, its hard to see any gambling platform have any collateral damage fund aside, this is why such platforms are more risky than crypto trading platforms.

It is still safe, but not 100%. They are not dumb to make their website vulnerable; they are also working on vulnerabilities, but sometimes hackers are still able to penetrate it. From time to time, they are making updates to patch the issues. Nobody's website is perfect; it is a matter of how their dev team reacts to the incident. I also think they are using frameworks to make sure the end points are secure. The problem with hacking incidents is that we really don't know if it's an inside job or not, so mostly and rarely, casinos will not refund lost money due to hacking incidents.
2972  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have your winnings lured someone into gambling ? on: November 06, 2022, 01:29:00 AM
As a gambler we see winning big as success is gambling, do you share and celebrate your winning story with friends ?

Have your winning story or celebration lured someone you know into gambling because he wants to win big like you

                                 OR

Have you ever taught or predicted a game for someone which turn out to be a win,how big was it ?

It depends, but usually I celebrate when I gain a massive win and try to boast it, but I am not luring someone into going to gamble, and I do always say the risks of it. All the negative aspects of gambling are what I tell someone if she or he asks me to teach them. But so far no one of my friends do gamble or i lured into gamble because they also knew how big i lose on it before i gain a massive winnings. Also, I believe that I have bad luck, so when I teach or coach someone in gambling, it will lead to losses. I don't know why.
2973  Other / Meta / Re: Cryptocurrency Casinos Are Ruling The Signature Campaign Here In Bitcointalk on: November 06, 2022, 12:22:11 AM
Cryptocurrency Casinos are booming while the altcoin section is deteriorating because investors are wiser now, online casinos' campaigns are long-term because they are building their brand while ICO projects can only last a few months after their crowd sales, this is still a Bitcoin forum because active topics and sections are not all about gambling there are still a lot of good sections, Bitcointalk is a forum about Cryptocurrency and all related products and services.

There are a lot of gamblers here in the forum that is why this is the one that they could get a person to sign up in their gambling website though they are still in social media but i think the audience there is a lot but not too many signing up . Here in the forum if those gamblers saw their website they will try to sign up as that is new and would like to see if there are new features in the website
2974  Economy / Economics / Re: Corruption Should Be Taught From Young Age on: November 05, 2022, 01:33:30 PM
Moral education is the key to stopping corruption, currently many countries make departments or institutions to control corruption, but the cost for these institutions is very large and the result is that corruption is not reduced, but if the state has a long -term plan, it must be taught from an early age.

In my opinion, there will be no effective way to prevent corruption. Today, corruption in schools is bigger than any other profession, achievement disease...even the principal and teachers are corrupt, who will teach the children?

Corruption only stops when everyone has a dream life, which means that society will be equal, no longer distinguish between rich and poor, no longer compete with each other, and have full amenities for everyone...but this will never happen, so corruption never goes away.

Only pure intention, a good heart, and honesty can prevent corruption, but mostly when we say these words, those people will just laugh. I know this is very impossible because when money is involved, people will tend to find a way to get some of it if no one is looking. I hope in the next generation this will be gone. I am very hopeful about this. But as of the moment, there will still be corruption, even if we haven't seen it.
2975  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Newbie trading believe on: November 05, 2022, 12:08:30 PM
Anyone who thinks of jumping into crypto and expect to make a massive gain within 24hrs is not yet ready to be successful because I believe good things doesn't come so easily rather than quality time, although it was possible to cash out daily during 2017 to 2018 because then I could remembered vividly when I invested in newly liste token within 24hrs of my investment I made about 80 percentage of my investment and it was surprised to me. Ever since then I have never seen such opportunity again in the industry rather taking about 1 year or more before you could make a reasonable cashout.

That's what most newbies in trading really believe, because some will just say that it is only about buying at high prices and selling at low prices, but that is not so simple. Trading is really difficult; you need to learn its fundamentals and then make your own strategy so that you can earn a profit from it. With regards to your investment last year, I think it was an ICO. That was the time where you could invest in their presale, which is really nice if you have capital and you could really gain a lot on it.
2976  Other / Archival / Re: I don't want to buy cheap bitcoins, I want to buy expensive ones on: November 05, 2022, 11:05:54 AM
People will remember when the price was high but will forget when the price went down, but when the price drops now they are still hesitant to buy, they are afraid the price will fall again, so I say they are not mentally strong enough to invest in bitcoin.
So there are still many around me buying higher bitcoins and selling at low prices because they panicked for fear of a big loss and eventually sold everything, I've seen some of my relatives who are unable to survive the erratic fluctuations in bitcoin prices.

It is like they will first notice your mistakes than your good deeds. This is really the issue, since before they were mostly buying at the peak and selling it when it was dropping, and they would say Bitcoin was a scam. That people who don't trust bitcoin or don't know it well will panic sell it if the price drops. The only solution is to learn more by reading or learning from experience (though this is really hard, it's because you will lose money on it).
2977  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: No social media is safe on: November 05, 2022, 10:17:54 AM
In other words, we need to do our due diligence and use common sense. Learn how to have a second thought mentality rather than just simply believing on what your “fake friend” has offered you.
From what the OP, said I think common sense is what is most important for the OP have totally trust the person after he has introduced him to crypto, Binance which is the most trusted exchange.
If the OP use common sense, he would have asked himself the right question which will make him stop depositing another fund into the scam platform since crypto is never a quick rich scheme.

Trust is mostly targeted by scammers now a days, and you can't predict if your new online friend will be trusted, as they will do everything to gain your trust, or in some cases, they will turn out to be scammers if they see that you can be easily manipulated. Trust and common sense really need to be used with caution at this time, and you should double check and not easily trust people when money is involved. As others have said, a person will show their true colors if they are already involved with money.
2978  Economy / Economics / Re: Reasons you will remain broke as an adult on: November 05, 2022, 08:46:28 AM
Most people will be complacent with age so they never think that when old and unproductive but expenditure is getting higher, this is what makes us have to get ready to welcome old age with investment, and I think the opportunity for cryptocurrencies is very good because it is increasingly legalized in many countries.
Most of the adult want to complain and don't want to work.
I believe nothing is permanent neither job nor your bad days

When Adult of course we will have difficulty working or business, this is what makes us have to prepare for the adult period from the start, the best and easy thing we do is by investing in many places such as property, gold, or cryptocurrencies.

I don't know, but mostly what I saw were teens and 20- to 25-year-olds who were lazy and just complaining about everything without doing anything. I think it's because they don't have motivation in life, but most adults are responsible and work hard to reach their goals and earn money, but mostly those adults that go broke are because of their vices and unwanted spending. They mostly go beyond their income, which is why most people go broke and have a lot of debt.
2979  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Isa kaba sa my mga bitcoin or any crypto noon? on: November 05, 2022, 07:47:08 AM

About airdrop, iyong isang coins nag airdrop ng 1 BTC worth of coins, laking hinayang ko nga noon kasi di ako nakasali.

I have observed in myself, whenever I posted solely for merits, those post didn't fare well, meanwhile the posts made because I wanted to post - meaning I had something to say — they did well.

I think the best to do is just living a free life here because whenever one trying to impress others for them to earn merits ending up not even gaining any but whenever you posted naturally without having the mind this post would generates merits could be the one to fetch you the merits. And from @OP I can't really compare this forum to be others, because this forum is far more educative and so far has all necessary information and documents that has to do with bitcoin and every other related cryptocurrency the have been existing today. So whenever one tends to overlook or underestimate this forum its get me worried somehow make me angry but not taking into mind.

Yeah, I just noticed that, mostly, when I really want to earn a merit, I will plan out my post and it will take me 30 minutes to an hour to construct my thoughts, but I end up getting hurt because no one will give me merit. I already made a couple of posts like that, but they still lack merit. Agree that let's just stay where we are and construct your replies like what you are so that we do not end up expecting something that we will not receive.
