2962  Economy / Economics / Re: The Blockchain technologies on: April 15, 2019, 02:53:38 AM
The most important property of blockchain technology is to be adaptable to any field. Any kind of data can be stored, processed, and created via blockchain technology. Like mobile phones, blockchain technology will be used any area in ten years.

I will agree to this, The blockchain is a wonderful advanced technology that might help us in the future for more innovative inventions. This blockchain should be capable of other devices so we can create more and ideas will be implemented.
2963  Economy / Economics / Re: Would a global disaster increase or decrease the Bitcoin value ? on: April 15, 2019, 01:55:35 AM
Probably yes, especially when a global disaster destroys all the servers and our ability to browse the internet. Also, when there's a power shut down in the whole world for a lot of days, Bitcoin's value will have a dramatic change.

Bitcoin can scale, simple as that.  It wouldnt need everyone to continue, just enough people to match demand for transactions.   After all BTC started off small and it can go back that way if need be.   Its competitive tendering, so long as it scales ok then its fine even with deflationary events to the network
Quote
Bitcoin doesn't run without electricity
You could say this of anything but electricity is more possible then you imagine.    Solar panels with wound hair for electric circuits is one strange but feasible creation in rural India I think they use this with of course their natural resource of sunlight.
Then theres hydro power and other possiblities, they can produce electricity even off grid and many things are possible.   Not easy but to say absolute zero will exist is not the case, of course oil and generators are always easiest mass source of energy

Not only the electricity but the internet, it's very powerful because we can get all valuable information just by surfing on the web. What's the sense of the blockchain if there's no internet? No transactions will happen there and bitcoin will be nonsense, definitely, it will increase or decrease depending on the situation.
2964  Economy / Economics / Re: A Crypto Blessing: China’s Plan to Ban Bitcoin Mining Will Work Wonders on: April 14, 2019, 07:27:54 PM
Well, China has enough and good economic rate and that country is full of business. They don't want to take an advantage of cryptocurrency since it might affect the growth of their economy. I think there is a hidden agenda that they want to commit for a better economic. They don't want to take an advantage the advanced technology that we had today. They're aiming to be the top and wanted to surpass the bitcoon.
2965  Economy / Economics / Re: why are you sure the bitcoin will be make economic freedom? on: April 14, 2019, 06:45:18 PM
Being a decentralized coin, It will surely give our national economic freedom. You're now having a profit from the bitcoin itself, not in the circulation of the money in your country, means you don't have any issues in having transactions. You will not sign up any banks, funds, and saving for your future because you can hold or invest it to bitcoin. There are a lot of factors that we must consider but it's very obvious that freedom will come once bitcoin takes place all over the world.
2966  Economy / Economics / Re: Study says 79% of cryptocurrency event attendees are men on: April 14, 2019, 06:14:20 PM
Probably, men are good at business and most of the office workers that are related to financial was a man. The study was legitimate, and having a statistical analysis in each company, you can view that there's a lot of men workers. Cryptocurrency was a definitive study and men was the first who got interested in it so I think it's one of the factors.

Men are good at decisions and always taking a risk, you can apply those skills in the real market so I think there's no more explanation about why is the cryptocurrency events are being attended by men. Cool
2967  Other / Meta / Re: Ice bucket challange ... meh ... Rank up challenge ! on: April 14, 2019, 03:56:16 PM
You should construct a limitation on your challenge since not all of the members have an equal amount of merits and the target merit. It's hard especially for those who will need a lot of merits to complete the challenge. You should specifically state the range of the merits needed to be able to participate in the rank up challenge.

I know it's a good thing for you guys to have a challenge and donate whoever's the loser to the charity but I believe that rushing something can't have a 100% success. Well, I don't think 7 days is enough for him/her unless he/she's so outstanding that can outplay some threads with amazing posts. Still, good luck to this challenge, I hope it works and be successful.

However love the idea but think in this case newbies are in better position they need only ONE merit  Cheesy

I don't know how rich @Tytanowy Janusz is, you know it will be easy for them to gain 1 merit and more 100$ will go to the charity.
2968  Other / Meta / Re: Is Merit Requirement Per Rank Excessive? on: April 14, 2019, 03:13:04 PM
When people have taken 2-3 years to get the Legendary rank, why should 1000 merit be too much to ask for? Not to forget, a person can get merited by many people for just 1 post as well. It's like a free bonus. However, I don't still agree with the merit system but people always have a problem.

Merit system didn't affect you since you're a Legendary when it's release. Do you think it's good to have a lot of Legendaries that has no talent, skills, ideas, and knowledge about the blockchain especially in the bitcoin community? I'm not saying that all of the new generations will become like that if there's a chance, most of them will just focus on the bounty and earn a profit without any contribution to our community.

The merit system wasn't created to make people's life worst but to act as a barrier, the legitimate and strongest individuals can enter easily instead of those bounty hunters and shitposters. In your generation, I can say that some of the Legendaries are not quite good and just making money through this platform without any threads created for the development of the community and the blockchain. I'm expecting that if you're a legendary, I should learn something extraordinary from you because you have the experience and you already said that it takes 2-3 years to be a Legendary, that's quite long to have a high level of innovation. If I'm not seeing you as an information giver, do you think the title of being Legendary is worth it?
2969  Economy / Reputation / Re: Merit abuse on: April 14, 2019, 02:40:42 PM
<…> What if adding a cooldown of 30 seconds on giving merits to avoid this glitch and also to avoid merit abuse. <…>
It was fixed, back on the 29th of December 2018:
Alright, you now can't merit the same post with the same amount within 60 seconds.
The double spend being discussed would have happened anyway, since despite it being prior to the fix (22/12/2018), the two TXs were 2 minute and 34 seconds apart. I get similar “bugs” when I’m retrieving information to update my DB, whilst at the same time trying to merit a post. In my case it’s due to firecloud getting too many petitions from the same IP, but also public wifis tend to disconnect or have micro-interruptions. Regardless, this is not the issue.

Really, there I not much of an issue at all. It doesn’t matter whether it was 5 or 10 merits. Currently, 7.976 5 sMerit TXs have been handed out (2.824 10 sMerit TXs). People are entitled to go through the merit TXs, and that is why they are made public. Nevertheless, awarding criteria is fortunately diverse, and that is the whole point of it. Not all will agree neither with the fact of meriting a given post, nor with the quantity, but that is down to diversity of criteria here, not to abuse.

Thanks for informing us, I'm not active during that time so maybe I missed that update. The 2 minutes was an exact cooldown to avoid those glitch, the only thing I was doing is to wait for the platform to reconnect and check if the merit was sent or not.

Imo, if Jet Cash has a lot of time, he can check each local section to provide merits. There are some posts that are written in English in our local so he/she can manage to distribute the merits to a lot of persons.
I can only speak for myself here, but I have very little enthusiasm to trawl through pages and pages of posts I can't understand in a language I don't speak on the off chance of stumbling across one in English. I have, however, merited quite a few post in the Polish section previously (after reading them via Google Translate or similar) because they have been brought to my attention. I would suggest if you are seeing good local posts which are not being merited, to report them here: [self-moderated] Report unmerited good posts to Merit Source. There a quite a few sources who check that thread and have merited posts from various local sections.

Good thing for you since Google translation was not quite accurate and it's very hard to understand if they're translated into English. I saw that effort of yours to help other people even you're not the one who should be helping them. I mean, moderators/higher-ups of the local should be the first to look at their fellow members since they're in the same community with same mother tongue. I'll try to report if I found someone to boost their motivation to create another topic that might help our community. I didn't expect that there are too many threads for developing and boosting each individual especially beginners. I notice that higher-ups are trying to make a good path for the newcomers, at first I thought people are just promoting each platform and all about business. The community is changing little by little and soon it will constantly breed a quality posters.

2970  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY] 📒⭐👑 Jinbi Token ~ The Golden ICO - Merging Gold With Blockchain 👑⭐📒 on: April 14, 2019, 08:07:05 AM
My KYC wasn't accepted, can I re-upload again any file to be verified?
2971  Economy / Reputation / Re: Merit abuse on: April 14, 2019, 08:04:33 AM
I don't think it is worth worrying about this glitch, it is fairly rare, and it just means that one member will be lucky and get a few extra merits.
I also wanted to fix this glitch because sometimes when I'm giving merits, it usually doubles the number of merits. If I gave you 1, then it'll become 2 because of the poor internet connection. When you click the "send" button and it the browser loading is too slow, clicking "send" again or not will double the sent merits.

What if adding a cooldown of 30 seconds on giving merits to avoid this glitch and also to avoid merit abuse. At some point, alternative accounts are being used to provide merits to another account especially when he/she is rushing to join the bounty(some bounty requires merits right?).

There are some people you could pick on for sending merit to their friends, but Jet Cash isn't one of them. Regardless, even if he was, please see below (emphasis mine):

If they complain about amounts, tell them to complain to me. It's best if sources try to exhaust their source allocations, even if it means giving posts higher amounts than is typical. If you have 150 source merit and you only see 3 merit-worthy posts in a month, then I'd rather you over-give each of them 50 merit than let the merit expire. That way there are more people capable of sending merit, and the "merit economy" is less top-down.

If a DT member tags you for something stupid involving merit (ie. probably anything less than selling merit), then they're not going to be a DT member for much longer.

Aside from that, if people complain about whether things deserve merit at all, then that's something to perhaps think about, but if you conclude that they're wrong, then that's that.

Imo, if Jet Cash has a lot of time, he can check each local section to provide merits. There are some posts that are written in English in our local so he/she can manage to distribute the merits to a lot of persons. For some members that are striving too hard, 1-5 merit is a huge amount for a beginner.
2972  Other / Meta / Re: Is Merit Requirement Per Rank Excessive? on: April 14, 2019, 07:30:07 AM
I have 256 merits, 100 airdropped merits since the start of the merit system and 156 received merits from random persons that liked/amazed or what so ever. So what's my point of this statement?

Those 156 merits that I've received did not come from any merit source or a DT(a few maybe). I started creating big threads that might help our local and that's where I started to earn merits. I'm just a full member way back 2017 but look me now, reached the rank of Sr. Member because of hard work and dedication. If you're really interested in cryptocurrency, it will automatically show your ideas on how you'll create topics, sub-topics or anything that provides information. Basically, those who show negative opinions regarding the merit system was a mere bounty hunter who just wanted merits for additional payouts. There are also people I know, my fellow citizens, that are very fluent in English, skilled in BBcodes or other programming languages, and good at business and market strategy. They tend to boost their skills in this forum and able to received merits too. The merit system is normal, being a passionate member here will make you receive merit.

To those people saying that they're creating quality topics but didn't receive any merits. I checked some of your posts and I don't think repetitive topics can't be considered as high-quality topics. Show some extraordinary way how to deliver your chosen topic, there's a lot of ways to provide information in the viewers. Also, making another version of existing topics does not make it as a quality topic, it's just showing that you really lack idea and just taking advantage of it to do better. In an actual forum, committees will open a topic that all of the members will provide information about the said topic. If you're a member of an actual forum, you should abide by the regulations and participate in the existing topic. Comparing this forum to the actual forum, you're just discussing it only to your seatmates instead of contributing to the whole forum.

I'm finaleshot, proven that the merit system was fair and normal to a simple member like me.
2973  Economy / Economics / Re: Time for investment on: April 14, 2019, 06:13:30 AM
why call them top if they are not the best ? and what do you think is the reason why they are among the top 20 spot ?
Oh come on, are you really looking into the market? Do you know some ICO ratings doesn't give any quality ratings? Some of them are being paid. Most of the assets in the TOP 20 claim its position because of the hype, then what happens when the hype is gone? the project dies. I'll ask you again, what do you think is the reason why are they on the top 20? man, you didn't really get the point.

investing or putting your fund in each of them is a good idea when compare to investing on unrated coins because you can be sure that you can recover your capital .  its also normal that they dont have a stable value because crypto is really known to be unstable due to the effects of thier volatility feature   . time of investment will varry depending on the investor  . some will wait for the dip while some will buy and hodl  .

I can't really understand your point, please construct your statement in a good way and fix your grammar first.

It's the thing when someone only knows how to hunt bounties (lmao), that's why I'm saying you should invest to the first 5 (first quarter of the top 20) because when it comes to stability, it's constant. I know the market is not very stable now but there's a specific platforms/projects that have the ability to control their coin without considering the market. Did you really get my point or you just wanted to drop some out of context statements just to have a post?

Bitvest does really consider that kind of posting? hmm.
2974  Economy / Economics / Re: Time for investment on: April 14, 2019, 05:42:04 AM
We are in an uptrend right now, look for days with a little red, to find some good entry points into the market, going 80 to 90% into bitcoins are the safest bet, as bitcoin will lead the market, but most coins in top20 will be good to buy when we are in a market like this.
And today is a good time again, the market is red once again.

Bitcoin will lead the market as always but I disagree that not everything on top 20 is a good buy.

yes, your right, only half the top20 coins are worth to invest into, But I think most traders have their own favorite coins, they know when to buy and sell to make some good swing trads.

Nah, I think quarters of the top 20 assets/alternative cryptocurrency is the only worth to invest because they have the biggest platform. Some of the coins in the top 20 are not quite good and doesn't have any stable value. I don't really recommend to invest to those, Bitcoin is the key for earning a good profit. After that, make a little investment in ETH and BCH, it might give you a valuable thing too.
2975  Economy / Economics / Re: Will Africa be a good place for crypto? on: April 14, 2019, 05:02:10 AM
It's okay for Africa to adopt cryptocurrency but I don't think it's a good place for crypto because there are many factors to consider for better usage of crypto. They have good and advanced technology though but it's not quite to have a constant market for them. Assets and other alternatives will have a really hard time to grow but investing in assets of other countries, it will give them good profit.
2976  Economy / Economics / Re: Things I learned through the years of Buying and Trading Bitcoin on: April 13, 2019, 08:55:58 AM
It's good for you to have an achievement by staying here in bitcoin talk. Honestly speaking, this forum encourages us to discover all the factors of cryptocurrency and we're learning it part by part. I'm very proud of you that a newbie tells that he/she gain pieces of knowledge that will help him/her grow and by that, it makes our community more reliable too. I hope most of the beginners should be like that and be inspired or your actions, more power to our community and the blockchain.
2977  Economy / Reputation / Re: Merit abuse on: April 13, 2019, 02:35:48 AM
From the word abuse, what does it mean?

Did he use an alt account to merit that kind of post?
Do her/his friends give him some merits?
Did he beg merits to someone? If not, then it's not considered as an abuse.

Even how high is the amount of merits received to that kind of posts, you can't question him as long as he/she didn't do anything that will make it as an abusive action.

It was Jet Cash, a merit source, why don't you question him for giving a guy with low context merits? People have different taste and agenda for being a merit source, I think he has a reason for that action.
2978  Economy / Economics / Re: How can we get people to use bitcoin as a currency? on: April 12, 2019, 05:09:39 PM
It's not that easy to get people to use bitcoin as a daily currency in a daily routine because they wanted to have physical things. People especially the old generations are used in fiat and gold so it's very hard for them to believe in a digital currency. Maybe we, the new generation, might have a chance to make our community as a smart city where bitcoin is the main currency for having a transaction. We are not yet in the process of being a smart city, there are a few advanced technologies but it's not quite good like we see in the cyberpunk(lol).
2979  Economy / Economics / Re: The market starts looking real nice in Q2, 2019 on: April 12, 2019, 03:27:07 PM
I also notice that dramatic change in the market and there's an amazing hope that comes from nowhere. I think 2019 will change everything and to think that cryptocurrency will revive again from the grave. I'm not saying that crypto was dead but most of the platforms, assets and especially some alternate cryptocurrency are pure trash. I'm looking forward to this and gonna make some investment to have a good profit soon.  Cheesy
2980  Other / Meta / Re: How can we take Bitcoin Talk back into the Bitcoin community? on: April 11, 2019, 03:56:42 PM
The legitimate pro's on bitcoin evaporated already to another dimension(platform) when they gain the knowledge here. That's the kind of people I wanted to control the bitcoin talk community because they prioritize the development of the blockchain rather than some people here who literally do bounties. The introduction of this forum to others was very dirty, I can clearly say it because most of the new members here are just directing towards the income without thinking the origin and purpose of this forum. Some of the higher-ups are trying to be kings but don't really have any contribution to our bitcoin community. They're self-proclaimed king because of being the first one who discovers the forum and trying to wipe out some low profile members.

I'm a tech-related course student and trying to make some innovative research about the blockchain. I'm tired of seeing repetitive concepts like for example, about the mining section, companies are just copying the algorithms and adding some extravagant features to have investors and users of their product. Intel, AMD, and other semiconductors company are good at making hardware, components to build-up and calculate algorithms very fast while the other mining companies are just trying to take advantage of it for the growth of their platform. No one didn't try/create any innovative invention that can also surpass the current device for mining. It's very similar in here, some of here are just trying to pump their business without trying to contribute anything good for our community.

My point is, what if we create or think something different for our bitcoin community? I know someone will get offended easily but most of the people are now focusing on a good reputation but they really lack about bitcoin. Bitcoin is a very powerful masterpiece that can exist for a hundred years, maybe its name in the future is Bitcoin v.7892, like that.
