I’ve moved up to 10th place in our pool, just hanging on at the moment. I don’t to fall too far behind & stay in touch in time for the 1/4 finals. That’s when the assault begins to try & win the pool, the real business end of the tournament.
Must be feeling very happy as a supporter, I wish they wouldn't have met Senegal however, because I wanted both teams to progress!! The good news is England are currently the top scorers with 9 goals in 3 games, Spain has a chance to beat that but I doubt it can happen even if I support them, I just get the feeling Japan will allow max 1 goal. 10th place is awesome, I checked and I didn't do so badly, which was a surprise and I dropped a few places in this new round but plenty more games to go, so it's a tight fight. 8 points away from the top, feels quite far away! |

Hey everyone! Took 6 days off and actually supposed to be full week but came back 1 day early as some small flooding ruined our last night on vacation with family. So terrible I missed so much good football, Messi especially supposedly scored a great goal. My fantasy is ruined, and I almost missed the quiz and just sent answers without thinking but wow, I had made it luckily as the standings aren't so bad for me lol, but I have to watch out for Harkorede and hakan2217!
Messi now need 2 goals today and he wins it, but I stuck with Valencia thinking he could at least score one, so it's weird but I hope Messi only scores 1 lol.

So far so good for my World Cup betting but to be honest I have been very very safe. Only one bet on Ecuador over 1.5 goals, I didn't trust England but should have, I almost trusted USA and saved myself, but now in 3 hours ++ my first big bet waits to clear on Argentina, it was very bad odds but I just wanted to get a round number on my balance so put it all there.
Also have a smaller multibet that will clear if they win (with England).

Is it me, or are those odds gone? This year I was looking for my nation’s odds, and the worst team had 550 or something, or maybe 750 I am not sure, then I checked all leagues that I cared about, like a dozen of them in all places and couldn't find a single place with 5000 odds, maybe that’s my mistake, maybe I didn't see it, but is that even possible anymore?
I just feel like Leicester was a once in a million years thing and it will not happen again, it would be very near impossible. This was the team that barely got a promotion recently, on a league as tough as premier league, becoming champions when everyone assumed they would relegate, that’s just not possible. Like Wolves or Southampton this year to become champions suddenly, or Norwich being champions last year, that’s just not realistic and yet it has happened.
I was talking about Leicester being 5000 odds but that was years ago, this year even Nottingham Forest was only something like 500x to win, bookies learnt not to do that anymore I guess after losing a lot of money that year.
