I also can't imagine Mercedes changing during the season, but I'm sure that either Hamilton or Bottas will have to leave the Mercedes team at the end of the season. With Hamilton it will depend on whether he is too greedy in the contract negotiations and wants extra sausages.
There is zero chance Hamilton leaves Mercedes until he retires, Mercedes knows this but they will not push their chances, they will offer him the biggest contract there is and that will continue down that way forever. At the end of the day Hamilton will not be able to win the title without mercedes car and mercedes have near to zero chance to win the title without hamilton, they both need each other. It will still be a big contract, and there is love between them so I doubt there will be a problem. Bottas however is gone that is I am sure, Hamiltons first team mate was for one season, second teammate was two seasons, third teammate is three seasons, fourth teammate was four seasons, now he is with bottas, his fifth teammate, for five seasons, he is gone and that is a funny coincidence for sure. Russel+Hamilton should be fun to watch next season but there are ton of races and an off-season until we see that, nearly 10 months or so. Why does Mercedes need Hamilton for the title? I absolutely don't see that Mercedes wouldn't won the title in the last few years without Hamilton, even Bottas would have been good enough. And if Hamilton should stay forever (which I don't believe anyway) why did he only get a one year contract? He is getting older and is now too greedy, at least that's how I see it. |

A really good France performance yesterday. I felt that they should have been given a penalty as well for that Hummels - Mbappe clash but the french team defended really well at the end.
Benzema is a great addition to the team, he really helps them build and he's really good in defending from the front too.
Regarding today - I feel that Russia will beat Finland easily. Finland really played badly against Denmark and were really lucky, Russia is playing at home and need this win. They weren't really good against Belgium but I feel they are a much better team than Finland.
I'm actually more surprised that Germany played so well and stood very good, it was difficult for France to get through and the goal was also a bit of luck. Russia plays horribly! This is not football, but a circus! (While writing the post, they finally managed to score a goal!)
Too bad the Finns didn't get a goal scored! On the replay you could see that Finn's foot position was not offside... I think VAR's are killing football!
I hope it continues like this and Finland equalizes, I bet on a draw.  |

Only a bit racer didn't yet choose the team like Valentino Rossi. ~snip~ It seems we think the same, I think it's still Quartararo and the other alternative is the Ducati racer. For Marquez I think it is right to clear his doubts and it will take a long time. For Rossi I think he has started thinking about stopping racing. I think he's starting to not be able to compete with the other youths. Even though we will lose but time goes on, it's just a matter of time and I think this season is the right time for him to retire. Sachsenring is always interesting and under normal cases a good track for Rossi and Marquez, but it's true if both are not competitive they will stop sooner or later, for Marc it will take a while but if he cannot fight for the world championship he will probably also end his career in 2 or 3 years. At Rossi, the decision should come before the summer break, now it depends on the next races. IMHO, the countless solutions that Deschamps has at his disposal tip the scales in favor of France. And with the likes of Mbappé and Griezmann on the field, they can't help but be slightly favored over their German rivals. Germany's attack has been struggling lately, but this looks like a match with at least three goals in total, where both teams will score. Other than that, only God knows! OK.. I see that more than 90% of the users here think that this is going to be an evenly contested match. But I don't agree. IMO, France is going to thrash Germany today. I am not expecting anything less than a 3 goal margin. France is in unstoppable form right now and the current German team is no match for them. BTW, I don't know how these two teams ended up in the same group. France is currently ranked #2 by FIFA, while Germany is at #12. How these two teams can end up in the same group? The first round is over tonight and there were some surprising results, so today I typed the following unconventionally: Hungary vs Portugal - Draw France vs Germany - Winner France I'm already looking forward to the games and I'm looking forward to seeing the results fit. the first half ended without goals, I'm surprised, I thought that Spain would be able to score a lot of goals and would go into the second half more comfortable, but seeing the game I'm realizing that it won't be as easy as I thought
Sweden has a good defense and also a bit of luck in this game... Statistical data shows 83% of the ball possession belongs to Spain while Sweden is only 17%, this shows the overall match is controlled by Spain, maybe in this second half a goal will be created. What an outstanding defensive performance of the Swedes, I didn't expect the Swedes to do it so well and with discipline. And that with only 16% possession 😱😱 at time. If the Spaniards manage to score, it can be 2-0 very quickly because the Swedes also have to act openly. |

Yes, the rumours about Russell replacing Bottas are hotting up. I think in large part because of Bottas' poor performance in the last race. The Mercedes hasn't been great for the last two races, but Hamilton nearly won in Azerbaijan, whereas Bottas was nowhere. Mercedes have Hamilton fighting for the drivers championship, which is fine. But they need their second driver to pull in enough points so that they win the constructors title too. The moment it looks like they're not going to win the constructors is the moment they start to seriously think about letting Bottas go. As for whether they'd make the change mid-season, I don't think so. It would be at the end of the season. Mercedes have made comments before - and quite recently - that they don't change drivers mid-season, 'other' teams do that (a clear dig at Red Bull). Bottas said he has the next round of talks with Mercedes next month. I don't think Mercedes will do a Red Bull-style castling of drivers in the middle of the season, but I think there will be clarity for next season. Let's not forget that the poor results in recent races have shaken the position of not only Bottas, but also Hamilton. No one in their right mind would turn down Hamilton's services as a Mercedes driver, but the focus in the negotiating positions has shifted clearly not in favor of Lewis, who already agrees to a salary cut, but wants a doubling of the bonus for the championship. I also can't imagine Mercedes changing during the season, but I'm sure that either Hamilton or Bottas will have to leave the Mercedes team at the end of the season. Phew. Poles didn't help themselves with that red card and have fallen behind again to Slovakia. Czech win wasn't so much of an upset, so if the score stays the same, or Slovakia help themselves to another goal, then we should see the first upset of the tourney.

First half was kinda boring but second half changed everything in Netherlands - Ukraine match. Ukraine almost made a great comeback with two beautiful goals but Dumfries said the last word. Yarmolenko's goal was the best one in the tournament so far. Generally Netherlands was better side but Ukraine showed us some good football too. Who could think we watch five goals after that first half though? It was a great game overall.
Today there were generally nice games where you never really knew or suspected how they would end. Some were decided only at the end and the outcome was very difficult to predict. It is very good that there are spectators again and that the games are unexpectedly interesting. |

What a comeback from Djokovic! Tsitsipas has started the final game superly and brought the score to 2-0 very quickly. But after that, Djokovic started gathering himself up. He destroyed Tsitsipas (6-3, 6-2, 6-4) and made an insane comeback. I think both players were really awesome today. And Djokovic got a deserved victory and title.
Just like the match against musetti last week, ok Musetti had to retire but he was up 2 sets and Djokovic started playing then. Good win by him again today, I felt Tsitsipas was running out of energy after the first 2 sets. He really wanted to get off the court asap but the presentation and ceremony was far too long. Djokovic is mentally very, very strong and I personally think that Tsitsipas ran out of energy, Tsitsipas was looked very tired, especially in the 4th set, and mentally not as strong as in the first two sets. But every player who beat Nadal in Paris deserves the win there. |

I just warned about this few minutes ago and that's just what happened! Wijnaldum just scored, 1-0 for Netherlands. The Ukrainian are playing defense and Turkey scenario might happen again!
Teams counting on counter attack while playing full defence might resist in the first half but later, the players will be less concentrated and goals will start raining.. Edit : impressive comeback from Ukraine, 2-2, didn't see that coming at all!! I am also surprised that the Netherlands still found it difficult to take the victory home with them, so it was a last minute victory I would say. I'm looking forward to tomorrow, there could be 2 draws and a win for spain? |

Austria vs. North Macedonia looks tougher to predict than what I had anticipated. I had Austria cruising by half-time but NM team are decent as well. I'm not sure now if I'm going to add for live game betting.
Netherlands should be able to secure a 1-0 or 2-0 win against Ukraine.
The Austria-North Macedonia match is balanced. Towards the end of the first half, the Macedonians were playing with more pressure. Austria seems to be better prepared for the second half. Anyway, my guess for this match is a draw. Finally Austria finished the game with a win exactly as I expected indeed at half time it seems more difficult because both teams read each other's game I also have no doubts saying Austria got lucky towards the end of the game they like getting fire and scoring 2 goals. In the end, Austria was the better team and simply wanted the win more. North Macedonia looked a bit tired in the end and the defensive was no longer consistent as in the first half and the beautiful goal by Arnautovic was the end. That Tsitipas will be very disappointed, 2-0 ahead in a final at Roland Garros. How many more times will he experience that? The match hasn't been played yet, of course, but I think there's no chance for Tsitsipas now. This guy will win enough Majors in the future, no doubts about that.
After more than 4 hours it is now fixed and Djokovic has his 19th Grand Slam title. Good performance by Djokovic after a 2 set deficit turned the game, respect. From the 3rd set onwards, Tsitsipas didn't seem so fresh anymore and made a lot of mistakes himself. A great lesson in self-belief and not giving up and searching for solutions and ideas that will help him succeed. Djokovic made another great comeback after losing two sets now he is the champion of the Roland Garros championship, the second Grand Slam of this season. It was clear whoever going to defeats Nadal on the clay will be tge favorite tournament, no one can defeat him Federer 20 Grand Slam Nadal 20 Grand Slam Djokovic 19 Grand Slam It will intresting to see how this marathon end one day. Exactly he came back superbly and challenged the very well-playing Tsitsipas and looked for solutions to defeat him.
