2981  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BitPay integrates the lightning network ⚡ on: April 07, 2022, 07:17:55 PM
Good thing more and more existing known payment processors implements lightning.

All the drawbacks are due to all KYC thing which a bit snag coz you need to give your personal info for just sending faster smaller transfers.
2982  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Everyone forgot April 5th...? on: April 07, 2022, 07:02:24 PM
It’s believed that Satoshi picked this date as his birthday because this was the 40th anniversary of he executive order signed by President Roosevelt …..

Executive Order 6102 is an executive order signed on April 5, 1933, by US President Franklin D. Roosevelt "forbidding the hoarding of gold coin, gold bullion, and gold certificates within the continental United States."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Executive_Order_6102

Just another little jibe by Satoshi at the futile current economic theory  Smiley
Interesting, this might the reason, as I don't think someone like him (anonymous) will tell everybody his birthday, although not too important info but that's make him. Satoshi probably knows that date as he is well-versed in financial world.
2983  Economy / Gambling / Re: Do you want to be an admin of an online casino? on: April 06, 2022, 10:39:43 PM
Plus for the above post. The website still poorly created. You think it can compete to these existing casinos? No hate just fact, I bet this will only close sooner if the design and other thinks will not improve. Plus, you need enough balance to start a casino business to compensate the winner which I don't think you have since you're finding stakeholders.

If you want to sell this software make it fit to be offered for sale, and for the looks of it i don't think the cost of this will be >$20,000. Well, there are still rooms for improvement, you can still do better.
2984  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia Sanctions Will Spur the Adoption of Crypto and Reduce USD Dominance - IMF on: April 06, 2022, 10:27:24 PM
Wouldn't you think EU and US won't do something about this? Since their effort of sanctions won't affect russia? Well, russia is used to it already.

I think if this really happen, these oldies in EU and US will take all the blame to bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, it might be something stupid to think but it's possible to change their regulations and even totally ban bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in their jurisdictions for these reasons. Idk, hope it won't happen.
2985  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Does anyone know BITVERGE.CO? Is it SCAM? on: April 05, 2022, 11:46:59 PM
Seems OP is like creating a buzz promoting the website by posting links in title and its content, a typical spam.
But thanks to forum's feature regarding of newbie posting links.

Regardless the motive it's proven a scam by posting facts above, even its clones.
2986  Other / Meta / Re: Buying copper membership on: April 05, 2022, 07:49:40 AM
Keep in mind that withdrawal for Binance brings withdrawal fees and it's not a good business to withdraw such small amounts.
Probably OP will spend almost the same or more in withdrawal fees than what is required to send in it's copper membership. As far as i can remember binance has 0.0005 btc for withdrawal fees, now it requires to send 0.00063880 BTC for copper membership. So, yes, if op has lots of balance to spend then just let him/
2987  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Three thousand Bitcoin ATM Installed In first quarter Of 2022 on: April 05, 2022, 12:37:23 AM
Are there any approximate metrics for how many of these have mandatory Know Your Customer integrated?
Isn't that this is really the case of all Bitcoin ATM? KYC integrated?
But not most of them are government regulated or has permit to operate in that specific place. That's some of these got confiscated and forcely closed.
2988  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Each coin has own purpose and techical base layer to function btc and trx on: April 04, 2022, 11:15:53 PM
It will not happen. And what's this new system?

Trx have lots of opportunity before to make its system and price better. But its founder always do things like idk, he always kill the fun and make its projects suffers.
2989  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Just watch "Trust no one" diocumentary film related 2019 biggest crypto scam on: April 04, 2022, 10:54:30 PM
• I have not seen the documentary yet, but I can say, centralized exchanges are not required, in fact they should be avoided if you can find an alternative to use in it's stead. A decentralized network does not need a centralized agency to work.
CEX are not required, but most used exchanges are CEX when its a matter of crypto to fiat conversion. Since you mentioned decentralization, maybe you can recommend decentralized websites or services that are trustworthy enough and can be used and access by almost everyone to convert fiat to crypto, and viceversa, plus without hassle and newbie friendly like what CEX offers.

• If you do not share your account access and held them in a non custodian wallet, the bitcoins arr effectively lost. Everyone who holds an amount of Bitcoin (whether or not it's a significant amount now) should prepare for this possiblity.
A custodian wallet can get access to those Bitcoins as they have custody.
This only works for individual holdings bit surely its very helpful for individual matter but when you died suddenly then people under your care will suffer if your holdings cannot be recovered. But the quadrigax incident is a business and shouldnt work like they did where cotten has the only access of it.
2990  Other / Meta / Re: Why people reserve the second post in a thread? on: April 02, 2022, 11:47:10 PM
But a few threads have the second post reserved by the OP by basically posting a "reserved" below the original thread. What's the purpose of this?
Basically to update it later for important announcement or information added since posting all in the first post with a long post looks awful and unnice.

Also, I thought consecutive posts were not allowed here as the mods usually deletes the second one and merges it with the first.
No, its not, read the #32 in the unofficial rules again, "excluding reserved posts by the the thread starter."

Posting multiple posts in a row (excluding bumps and reserved posts by the thread starter) is not allowed.
2991  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sign Up Bonuses on: April 02, 2022, 10:46:10 PM
But is the OP just after the signup bonus after getting it and then not playing anymore?
It doesn't make sense if he wants it like that, you can't get without playing it, I mean you can't withdraw that bonus unless you play it, and profit. Well, its all depends on casino's term. But it usually like that to avoid being abused.
2992  Economy / Gambling / Re: how to choose best Gambling website for Gambling ? on: April 02, 2022, 07:21:57 PM
I feel like these kind of questions can be seen and answered by google. Well, i dont to post some examples or the meaning of since most of the above replies did.

For  op, google is everything, what you only need is to ask a
proper questions to get proper answers.
2993  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casino Game on: April 02, 2022, 06:57:36 PM
If you play only in online casinos, then you should definitely visit a real casino at least once.  Then, and only then, can you feel the difference.  I recommend.

I've visited an online casino once, .
What mate? you only visited Online casino once? knowing that you are an old member of this community? and posting in gambling section for long time? yet just once you have got to visit online casino site?

I feel like this is just a typo as online casino as real casino base on the one he quoted.
You seem shocked like its his real first time to visit an online casino once where he need to register accounts to the campaigns he wants to join before ~if any aside his curent campaign.
2994  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: April 02, 2022, 06:16:47 PM
As of now, this fight still has no betting odds in my sportsbook.
That's odd, the fight is just 2 weeks away from now and the betting odds should be available since April 1st.
Give them at least 1 week before betting odds shows on any sportsbook.

This probably happens to fights that were not really had shows interest by many(fans)
2995  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Any thoughts of Stormgain cloud mining? on: April 02, 2022, 12:18:15 PM
Yes, because most of them or even all of them is not worth the time, less earning, or not paying worst is mining your data, your browsing activity, in short your personal information.
2996  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING]: INOUE vs DONAIRE 2 - June 7 on: April 01, 2022, 05:19:12 PM

The prevous thread was actually opened for the discussion of the rematch. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5347394.0
Maybe joining the discussion there.will help you make the bet too. People still rooting for Inoue actually. Although we may not know what will happen still. Donaire could still counter. He did hit Inoue several times in their first fight sure he can do it again.
When it comes to power and strategy at this era in bantam weight division, always bet on inoue, unless donaire improve his combination punch, stamina, speed and body from those killer body shots of inoue. If he will still aim only using his left hook, I don't think it will work at this very moment, inoue knows how to bet donaire since their first match.
2997  Other / Meta / Re: Another Fools' Day on: April 01, 2022, 04:05:38 PM
Oh no, don't spoil the day, april 1 still not ended yet, people still enjoying having a high IQ. Tongue

Well, actually the questions are pretty interesting, regarding history, science and etc.

What's your favourite April Fools' Day prank in the forum or even offline?
With the past experience, the merit thing with lots of stuff like politeness, virtue, karma is the most funny.
2998  Other / Meta / Re: IQ testing now required before posting on: April 01, 2022, 10:34:01 AM
Good idea, I fully support it. It's a pity, of course, that this is just an April Fool's joke. However, something like this is so lacking in the Internet.
Only theymos invented it, lol. Yeah, would be much better to have such fun feature, although the IQ score can just be hidden and not be public, or need a payment first to be displayed like what copper membership but i guess that wouldnt be happen. Lol
2999  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk IQ Improvement Service $5 only on: April 01, 2022, 07:51:26 AM
Why do we need to take your IQ Improvement Services for 5$ when we have google who provides this service free of cost.  Wink

 Shocked

are you cheating?
No, we're not, it's a feature including the github link linked by theymos himself as a cheatsheet. Well, it's the main secret of theymos after all.

Are you looking for improving your IQ score on bitcointalk?
Can you provide your quotes on this, maybe i or anybody will be interested  Tongue
3000  Other / Meta / Re: IQ Leaderboard on: April 01, 2022, 07:34:05 AM
Base on seasonal events like this made by theymos, statistics or leaderboards will always be posted on the day after the event, so expect it some time tomorrow.  Tongue

Soon it will be available on bpip.org I guess. It would be great to have IQ badge there Wink
Yeah,  same expectations from the previous events  Tongue
