bitcoin is coin like dollar
if you need pay must use coin
if knc need pay manufactory and enginners must use coin just like that

sure they will get very far with that attitude, you obviously don't understand the market.

How many units was the first batch? Anyone knows or somehow managed to calculate?

1200 according to KnC

so a min o 3.6 PH for the first batch

Aye, but of course by the time they ship it might not be such a big splash as it would be if they shipped today.

Depends entirely on how big a dump in PH Nov orders make, and whether Hashfast, Cointerra, Black Arrow & Bitmine deliver on their promises
2985  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 29, 2013, 10:33:31 AM
anytime I feel a bit blue for selling so many mined coins for cheap in Oct, I come to this thread and count my blessings

You are cheering on other people's misery? And you are not ashamed to admit it? What a special kind of asshole you are.

+1 although I don't think DPoS is an asshole, maybe an asshat on the rare occasion? Smiley

I'm in two minds about it, I hope HF does ship before Dec 31st so people can get what they paid for, but I also understand that its going to be a bitter pill because of the increase in difficulty that will come about from the dump in raw TH into the pools.

I also really sympathise with the concept that if people had known their devices would have been delayed this long then they would never have ordered them in the first place, although others would probably have jumped in there to fill the slots eventually.

 Wink

I did only say I count my blessings... a little different than cheering..(it is thanksgiving and all that)   but I see his point and will take another sip of scotch.

+1 and Amen to the scotch idea, although its 10:30 AM here and we don't celebrate thanksgiving :p

I never bought a Jupiter, it was a Saturn and I only paid $3800 for it and upgraded to a Jupiter with buying extra modules which I received 7 days after ordering them. I've already broke even a while ago and just making pure profit right now. There is also a huge difference between when I ordered my Saturn. The delivery time was only 6 weeks away when I purchased it. Not months and months. That is where the difference is here. For some reason which I just don't understand people are pre-ordering hardware a half year in advance in the most volatile market there is. Its that damn greed bug that hits people. They can't get over the thought of how much money they can make but don't realize 1 week will feel like 2 months when waiting for it. Plain ol' torturing themselves. And no, I didn't order a Neptune from that other company KNC.....too long of a gap between them using my money and receiving a product.

Why does it matter to you so much? The people buying Neptunes are existing customers, they know what they are in for, they know what they are doing, many of them did buy at $7K and some at more if you include international carriage and tax @ 20%

Tell you what though, this advanced tuning lark is a bit addictive.  Shocked
anything performance wise?
Well whats interesting is that, if you remember, I kept going back to 0.96 because the newer firmware just kept flapping the cores on and off.

So installed 99-Tuning, left it alone for a while and sure enough flap, flap, cores off all over the place and Avg dropped to 529 and dropping slowly.

Well I found with the tuner that it was mainly ASIC1, Die 1,3&4 that were affected, so I've been tweaking them back to 100% on status, using the individual core voltage control.

Bit hit and miss, I went way too far to start with on the voltage and actually had some cores turn off, but started again with a bit less elbow grease and its beginning to come together.

I'm talking it slow, but I've seen some sustained 630+ Gh/s for quite long periods of time. But the flushwork performance drops, although alot better than they used to be in terms of how long they last, because they drop as far down as 300Gh/s, would keep the average below 600 even if you could maintain it for any length of time.

But its a bit like overclocking cpus, very much up my alley having the tweaking ability like this.

oh and 0.4 of bertmod works with it (except you have to remember the advanced_settings.html URL)
sweet...   !

About an hour ago I noticed that it had stabilized at around 550 and climbing, so I thought now is a good time, I ctrl+a+d out of screen, wget the latest 3.8.2-tuning from ckolivas, got it all setup to run, did screen -r and then q to shutdown the running cgminer and then straight away kicked off ./cgminer -c /config/cgminer.conf

The result? A current stable average of 561.6Gh/s and climbing. Will leave it overnight see whats what in the morning.

Any chance that a KnC rep will be going to the London Bitcoin Expo Saturday and I can take the dead module and swap it there?

Even if someone is going and rumours say there will be someone I highly doubt he will be interested in getting your module Wink
Much as I love KnC they've had the money and it would be nice to have a fully working product :-)

Mate, contact me via PM, I may be able to help.

One thing I have noticed is that there is no longer the option for local pickup

There never was an option for local pickup for the Neptune.

There was, I have one to prove it.

It must have been for a very brief period of time then.

Yes, there are a few people in the order number thread with local pickup as well.

Cool I reported that spam post and it dissapeared Undecided
Wasn't trying to spam. Other folks have been mentioned they will help non-customers buy a Neptune for a price in this thread so I was just doing the same but for free, I'm just really wordy about it.

Edit: But sorry if it was spam.

It was for this thread there is a whole market subforum for that sort of thing
My bad. I thought it'd be okay since I saw other folks posting, with far fewer words to be fair, about nearly the same thing.

I wasn't picking on you in particular, if I could go back and get rid of all the spam in this thread I would.
