2981  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which cryptocurrency is the fastest? on: June 21, 2017, 02:43:41 PM
Ripple has an average at 3 seconds I hear, but I would never use it.  I did like Fastcoin in the past.  But, I don't think about which one is fastest overall, but which one is fast and universally accepted.  Steem is becoming a good option for quickly moving cash.

ETH is very fast fast coin is fast but has no market or volume and no one care about it, also being fast isn't always good, because more fast is equal to more orphan, some coin mitigate this with a better diff retarget
2982  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SegWit2x will get activated for sure? on: June 21, 2017, 02:39:59 PM
Either I don't understand this correctly or I'm missing something. Trace Mayer tweeted "#SegWit is coming. Fight w/ your full node #UASF. #BIP148 only has Hobbits & a few Ents. #BIP149 will have all Ents". Why is that? I mean If SegWit2X is going to get activated in the next a few days, what's the point from continuing to run UASF full nodes If UASF was meant to activate SegWit as well.

Because IF SegWit2x gets done (a big IF), then the UASF will have no affect as all the blocks will be signalling for SegWit.

If SegWit2x doesn't happen then UASF WILL split off, and only allow SegWit signalling blocks. (Anyone's guess how that plays out..)

Either way - keep running UASF.

...

As I've said in the other thread, the CORE devs have clearly rejected SegWit2x. As far as their concerned it's an ALT coin.

https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Segwit_support

..

The ONLY way this works out.. is if BIP141 activates SegWit (The one that's been tested and ready for 2 YEARS - not knocked up in a month). And then we fight over the 2MB HardFork block increase, that Again, CORE will not support.

And running the UASF, means you'll need to be signalling BIP141, so again KEEP RUNNING UASF.

..

It is a 'quite-extraordinary-cluster-fuck.'

No clear path ahead at all IMHO.

..

... you've got to lol.

(And in answer to the OP question - no. It's a maybe at best. Just like every other BIP out there..)

wy now segwit2x matter more than segwit? i means why all of sudden segwit2x get the activation, when  in allt his time normal segwit was ignore by miners and everything? is because uasf forcing the activation, or they like better this proposal?
2983  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Nexus - Pure SHA3 + CPU/GPU + nPoS + 15 Active Innovations + More to Come on: June 20, 2017, 05:35:01 PM
Nexus is growing very steady, cool  Shocked

Buy more before it's too late  Cheesy

btw when this coin hit poloniex? there was an huge talk about poloniex but there is nothing still, and it was many months ago, i need to know to invest in this, without poloniex, it's hard for the value to climb above 100k and beyond
2984  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why Stellar is insanely undervalued. on: June 20, 2017, 05:33:13 PM
Stellar has been a weird coin to trade with the out of this world pump some months ago, however I feel like its completely undervalued right now.

Ripple has ~38,290,271,363 XRP Circulating supply and Stellar has ~9,748,519,451 XLM(also circulating), this is a HUGE difference while Ripple costs ~0.33$ and Stellar ~0.04$!

Feel free to discuss Stellar prices with me, even if you dont agree Smiley  Ill try to respond to most but its super hot so ill see.

you are forgetting that ripple is rigged and they are inflating the value at will, i doubt there is any real demand for ripple, it's all fake and centralized, they buy few amount of coin and other never seen the light of an exchange, it's a common trick to make your coin look strong
2985  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DCR] Decred - Hybrid PoW/PoS | btcsuite Devs | Tons of New Features | Go on: June 20, 2017, 05:32:38 PM
where can i check for the dev address with the huge premine of 800k decred? is this amount still there? i don't want to get another "vitalik dumping because he deserve it bullshit"
2986  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coins to buy before they hit the exchanges? on: June 20, 2017, 05:28:42 PM
Any tips for some new coins, with some promising technology etc?

HLM, is your best bet buddy, not on exchange yet, on august 1 there will be a shareholder for every 1 spreadcoin you get 1 hlm, by signing the address that is holding your amount, everything will be done with bittrexx, really promising features, price will skyrocket after the launch
2987  Economy / Economics / Re: Will UASF affect Bitcoin ? on: June 20, 2017, 05:26:12 PM
First of all , for those who don't know what UASF means : "User Activated Soft Fork"

"UASF is short for "User Activated Soft Fork". Its specification is described here.
It tries to force the activation of SegWit which is currently (~30%) unable to reach the required activation threshold (95%).
Between August 1st and November 15th, UASF nodes will consider all blocks invalid that do not explicitly signal support for SegWit, thus creating a fork. Within that fork, support for SegWit will be 100% which in turn triggers the activation threshold of SegWit (95%)."
https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/64jky9/what_is_uasf/

If soft fork happens successfully, then price willl rise , if not , btc price will fall hardly .
It's a gamble

What do you think ?

i don't think it will fall, because the value is very solid now, look at the resistance at $2000 on the chart, at best we can have some dumping, but the value will increase a lot if segwitx2 will be activated, which is only a matter of time, now at 76% support, we did it
2988  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia faces shortage of PC graphics cards due to Cryptocurrency mining on: June 20, 2017, 05:24:47 PM
Only AMD RX 470/480/570/580 which is sold out almost everywhere, regular customer still can buy older generation of AMD GPU or buy Nvidia which isn't that good for mining (exception for ZEC mining).
Also, i think this will end soon since ETH mining difficulty raising a lot and AMD/Nvidia will release GPU specific for cryptocurrency mining with better price/performance without gaming features (unless miners plan to sell used GPU after mining isn't profitable anymore).

amd is planning to release dedicated gpu for mining, so there will be no more shortage, but they have only a warranty of 3 months, and no display port, so no good for selling to gamers
2989  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia faces shortage of PC graphics cards due to Cryptocurrency mining on: June 20, 2017, 03:24:31 PM
Mining is not very profitable so I'm not sure that the lack of cards in Russia is connected with it. Besides, the old GPU mined coins are not worse than new, and are thus much cheaper. Most likely there is a shortage of second-hand graphics cards.

lol not very profitable? you don't know what you are talking about, probrably just spamming with your sig, mining is more than profitable, one rig of six gpu can earn you more than $1000 a month, the guy buying 600 gpu, have 100 rig, 100 rig are more than $100k per month
2990  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SIAcoin what to think about this on: June 20, 2017, 02:29:15 PM
it's a good coin, has the storage features, which is something unique, no other coin has storage like sia, the supply is high but the mining is profitable, since the supply is high you can't expect very high value, i would invest 10% of my saving there and wait for 5000 satoshi at least
2991  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best of (upcoming) ICO's on: June 20, 2017, 01:14:23 PM
the only ico i'm looking forward now are golem SONM and giga watt which is a pow ico and i like this, all the other are very niche, and copy paste, not worth looking to them for me
2992  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any tips on how to tell if a coin will flop or not? on: June 20, 2017, 01:10:26 PM
There are plenty of altcoins that would have made a huge profit if we invested into them when they first came out, however there are so many others that just fail. I know that this is just high risk <> reward, but is there any useful tips to make a decent guess as to if an altcoin is worth investing to when it is released?

i see these things are important to tell if the coin will die or not
Dev is MIA all the time, bad sign, the coin will die 99% of the time, or will get a relaunch but none will care anymore
bad roadmap, no substantial features, just stupid airdrop for newbie to dump lol
huge premine with dev newbies and many newbie responding to the thread, bad sign of the same dev doing his scammy coin
2993  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: segwit2X soon? on: June 20, 2017, 01:07:04 PM
It seems that there's no way that Segwit2x won't happen at this point, the question is how the community will respond to the hard fork

the hard fork is just the bitmain coin right? why the community should care about this new altcoin? exchange will never listen a bitcoin clone like that sow e are safe against their malicious intention, segwith2x will make bitcoin go very high in value, i'm buying more now
2994  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin Planet [BTPL] [ANN] POS/POW -New Altcoin on: June 19, 2017, 03:34:26 PM

nice price, if it can hold at 20k, this coin for me it's not worth less than 10k anyway, the block reward is low, and emission also is limited per day, that exchange isn't helping, it's not well known
2995  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [$XVG] VERGE [POW][MultiAlgo][BLACKHOLE][Entire Line of TOR/i2P Resources] on: June 19, 2017, 03:28:53 PM
any chance the supply will get a cut in the future, i think what is holding back this wonderful coin, is the immense supply, if it can be reduced to million instead of billion would be better imho, i know it require a hard fork but its worth the risk
2996  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [HONEY] Honey - USE HONEY IN-GAME - Sweet on: June 19, 2017, 03:26:38 PM

due to the constant forking and loosing $, I've dropped HONEY. Please stop mining using c=HONEY.

Thanks

Honey is not forked. Where do you see this now?

my pool forked numerous times.

that's why i have experienced a bad earning on your pool, are my remaining coin safe now on your pool or better to wait for the thing to be fixed?
2997  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Next 100x coin on Bittrex on: June 19, 2017, 03:24:57 PM
spreadcoin will do it, currently 20k satoshi, 0.02 is possible after the swap with HLM, a really new promising coin, with anonimity full decentralization, masternodes, and more, check the ann, i think 0,01 at least is possible with a slow pump to 100k first and then 0.01
2998  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Masternodes investors. on: June 19, 2017, 03:23:30 PM
Hey,

I am looking to invest on the major Masternode coins such as Dash, Chain, PIVX etc.

So for example if 10,000 coins is needed for a Masternode is that have to be on the coin official wallet? or I can keep it on the exchange wallet and Masternode will work?

what i know is that you need the original client to run one masternodes, just download the wallet and run it, here you have full explanation how to run one,
"Masternodes are computers that run a dash wallet and make decisions, such as locking transactions with InstantSend, coordinate mixing of coins, and voting on budget funding. Masternodes are required to have 1000 Dash collateral, a dedicated IP address, and be able to run 24 hours a day without a more than a 1 hr connection loss. Masternodes get paid 45% of the block reward on every block, which is distributed to masternodes one at a time.  Typically, around 2 dash is paid to each masternode every 7 days"
2999  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What crypto is fast for sending from exchange to exchange? on: June 19, 2017, 03:22:30 PM
Hi,

LightDoge is very fast but not supported by a lot of exchange.
Bitcoin is awfull, usually takes 1h to 1h30 for my money to be transferred.
What other crypto out there is fast?

Thanks.

you need to make a difference here, sending from exchange to exchange is done by the exchange itself, not only by the time of transaction, some exchange are really slow to send money even if the confirmation of the coin you are sending is fast, now among the fastest coin we have ETH with 15 sec block time, or fast coin with 30 sec block time
3000  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Making bitcoin with twitter still possible? on: June 19, 2017, 03:19:47 PM
you can't make much there last time i tried it's only few cent, better to join a real campaign here and earn well like 0.03 btc per week, which is very good, because you are earning $400 per month just by posting
