There are plenty of altcoins that would have made a huge profit if we invested into them when they first came out, however there are so many others that just fail. I know that this is just high risk <> reward, but is there any useful tips to make a decent guess as to if an altcoin is worth investing to when it is released?

Dude, they're all destined to go down in flames, all except a small handful--and those are already on the market. So it's a safe bet that any piece of shit coin that got released in the last year and any coins scheduled for release in the future aren't worth owning. There's no way to tell exactly, because some of these shits have pretty slick marketing campaigns. But once you realize that they're designed to fleece noobs, you'll see all of them for what they really are. Garbage.

It is hard to improve on the bitcoin blockchain model and most altcoins offer very little in the way of improvements. As one other person said - even though there is mystery surrounding where bitcoin came from, you should only invest in places that have registered companies and transparent owners. Many people will turn greedy when others throw money at them, so it is difficult to predict them going rogue. There are also big traders who rig temporary bubbles.

Actually all coins are 50/50 and is possible to flop if the developer wants to, same as with bitcoin it has a possibility it will flop too. You just have to choose the best coins currently that have projects and are progressing when investing in them.

If you are planning to invest in ICOs I think the best approach is the shotgun approach, invest in many ICOs a small amount of money, those that flop will be losses but you are bound to get a few right then you need to hold until you get earnings.

I think that this is good advice + don't invest anything you can't afford to lose. ICOs are exciting but high-risk.

invest in them after a while! you don't need to invest before release (aka currently popular ICO investment) or in your case invest in early days. let them exist at least for a while and see their movement. if you noticed a strong support and a strong upward movement then invest and if like 100s of new project they were moving sideways or dropping like a stone because they were listed on an exchange and miners were dumping, then don't invest in them. this way you are still making profit but are relatively safe. also you should make sure to think about planning on selling them immediately after buying. most people invest and then sit around and start wishing for profit. decide on a price to sell and make damn sure to sell.

Weak hands have been complaining about missing out ever since bitcoin was $1 and never buy the dip. Whales are those who keep buying the dip.

investing on altcoins similar such as gambling but currently many people has been interested for ICO coin because if you were found the exact altcoins which is had succesfully for ICO the price will really good when they listed on the exchanges but i think there is no tips how to predict the exact price for altcoin but maybe you can asking to the dev itself but it doesn't guarantee they will telling the truth

Why does it matter how much they are saving as development fund?

That is exactly what is going to happen in the future, most of the projects collecting millions might not be running a couple of years from now, there are financial platforms like ICONOMI and the rest who are reinvesting things and it is a matter of time that you might end up investing those money in a shell coin and end up loosing a chunk ,the risks are higher, but as long as it is going smooth it is good for investors to make a good return.

You should always look at the project first to see how unique it is, partners etc. Check the developer previous record to make sure he is not a scammer. Look at the following, if altcoin has huge following it's more likely to be a success but when it comes to new project you have to take a risk.

Why does it matter how much they are saving as development fund? Because if the developers hold great share of the coins/tokens, they can easily dump them in the market making the coin/token price crashing hard. While they get profits, all investors will be screwed over. Something like 'pre-mine' would give you a hint. Actually, this is very important point to look for when investing in a coin — that's also why I never trust Ethereum.
