2981  Economy / Economics / Re: 2022-2023 Are Crisis don't ask or wait just do it print your own money on: December 19, 2022, 06:59:54 PM
If that's what everyone is going for then we're doomed  Grin A lot of cryptocurrencies are created for this very reason, although not every one of them carries value like bitcoin. If we all created our own currency believing that each of it has value, then we're going nowhere and just created a heaping pile of shit that is worth nothing. Why would I use your currency if I have mine and people wants it anyway?

People will just be more creative and desperate to survive. We're definitely not in the easy days but we still haven't reached the point wherein we need to do crazy shit like this in order to survive.
2982  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slow down if you want to recover your losses on: December 19, 2022, 06:09:46 PM
I ain't recovering nothing. If I already lose a big amount, then that means that that day/session is not for me. Only ever lost $20 a session so there's no point chasing those after I lost them on each week. But yeah, this strategy works if you want to get something back from what you spent on your gambling, or at least recoup some of your losses in the process. You will, most definitely, not get 100% returns on what you put out especially in gambling (unless you're really lucky and all that).

Also, how is Martingale equivalent to slowing down your bets Huh
2983  Other / Off-topic / Re: PSG sign-up and world cup trophy on: December 19, 2022, 04:53:30 PM
Well you can't blame PSG. They are only accepting talents with a very huge potential and do have the pockets to support this ambition of theirs. Also, players of the highest caliber would naturally want to join a club that can pay them the highest amount of $$$, and what other clubs can offer that all the while ensuring that the career of the player is preserved due to their reputation? I think Messi isn't lucky; he has worked so hard to be where he is right now, and that to me is dedication and talent, not just luck.
2984  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It's been 2 months and now I am doing well.(I guess). on: December 18, 2022, 11:32:51 PM
Binance pay supports bitcoin payments, and can get confirmed in a couple of mins. Would have been a lot easier if your customers can pay btc as you prepare what they ordered. Have a little chat with them and bam, you'll get 1 confirmation usually within 10 mins (or less on non-peak hours). It's great that some people have already tried paying using cryptocurrencies, but it could have been better if they can pay in bitcoin too. It's a great start, and hopefully along the way you get to see customers willing to pay in bitcoin and willing to lend some time for a chat regarding that too.
2985  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: High Profit Projects Are Prone To Scam on: December 18, 2022, 10:57:32 PM
Yes they are. If things are too good to be true, then it probably isn't. Lots of high yield projects often turn out to be scams, or if not scams, they cannot sustain what they promised from the get go. Better to enter/join something that promises growth and development in realistic numbers rather than those who promises aggressive increases but can't sustain anything. Those projects are doomed to fail, so better not enter them and not get tempted with what they're offering.
2986  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: New Solution to Address the Problem of Gambling in Australia. on: December 18, 2022, 03:45:09 PM
This move is going to lessen the gambler in Australia which i think they are not scared of. But it is a good move by the government and the casino owner as it could lead to debt, also the method that the casino owner doing (sending alerts when they deposit much higher) is can still be bypassed by those gamblers but the law is not so it is better to implement that law. I know a lot of gamblers wouldn't agree with this but this is for their own good

But what if the credit card companies based in AU allow their users to withdraw from their credit cards? Now that is a loophole that some Aussie gamblers can look at. I know it's rare for credit card companies to allow this in this day and age unless you have a good credit rating, but there is still that possibility. The effort may not completely solve the problem on the rise of the numbers of problematic gamblers in Australia, but at the least the gov't is not scared of losing tax revenues that gambling houses generate and that is something to be admired IMO.
2987  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why every casino got bad habits? on: December 18, 2022, 02:42:44 PM
Most issues raised against huge gambling platforms and long-term casinos can be solved by reading a few lines on the ToS or just the mechanics on promos and whatnot. Also, one should expect that casinos will regularly run into problems, but that doesn't mean that the casino is already scamming people or are actively trying to do wrong against its userbase. Of course, there are some bad apples here and there, but there are still good casinos out there that are worth noticing on how they handle these accusations and ensuring that those will never happen again.
2988  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This forum looks more like Altcoin Price Discussion on: December 18, 2022, 02:10:17 PM
Most people here only see altcoins on the potential profit that it can give them but not really see the possible technical application of alts on whatever it is that they want to get done. Not everyone thinks as a developer, most people think only as an investor and that stops there. I can't blame them though, most alts are not that interesting and are mostly rehashes of a previous altcoin that has been buried already a long, long time ago. I personally am not a hardcore altcoin enthusiast, but I do know how to appreciate a good alt (in terms of practical application and technicality) when I see one.

In G2 vs Liquid, it'd be hard to say who's got the upper hand. I for one will just go Liquid +1.5 and Liquid win to support this team even further. Even though m0nesy is stepping up and slowly trying to creep back to his superstar era with his amazing plays, it's not a 1v5 game as it's still team play that reigns supreme in this game. OSee vs m0nesy will be a great duel of the awpers that's for sure.

I thought Liquid can still carry the momentum they've picked up from yesterday's match, but G2 seemed impenetrable in the last 2 maps. Props to their defenses and their strategies on taking sites over. Liquid is no match to how G2 played Inferno, and even though Mirage was somehow close, G2 still managed to get the upper hand and destroy Liquid with some of their force buys. M0nesy played really well, and jks supported everyone like a champ and took fights like an unkillable warrior. I lost both my bets, but I enjoyed watching a great CS.
2990  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: AI answer to how can bitcoin price drop to 0$ on: December 17, 2022, 11:59:20 PM
That AI is currently in learning mode. It cannot predict things; it only uses the information it got thus far and constructs sentences based on it and on the question that was asked. Imagine asking a child about how the world ends. This kid watched a lot of doomsday movies, read a lot of fear-mongering article, and a lot of information in-between. What do you think will that kid answer you? Based on facts or based on what he/she knows so far?

It's a great way to pass time, but obviously not a great way to predict the future.
2991  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Too much FUD: Why FUD against Binance doen't seem to be justified on: December 17, 2022, 11:41:57 PM
It all boils down to the most basic advice anyone can give to newbies: not your keys, not your bitcoin.

This accusation against Binance has been around for years. People are trying to reveal Binance's inability to provide assets that back their BUSD stablecoin. So far, nothing bad has happened yet, and Binance seem to grow more and more stable as time passes by and as more and more customers utilize their service. Most audits made to Binance turned out supporting the platform's claim that they can back the stablecoin that they are producing, and if that isn't enough reason to instill confidence on customers' minds, then perhaps people ought to get their funds out of the exchange if they aren't actively trading for that matter—as people should on any other exchange as well.
2992  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: December 17, 2022, 11:10:51 PM
OG takes map 1.

Map 2, Liquid is on the lead. Score is 7-5. Liquid is playing it safe, they lose this game and they're already out.

Good luck to those folks that has bets on this match, I've missed it. I think that we'll see a map 3 on this match.

OG seems to be on fire rn. Liquid did okay taking the lead kn the ct side in inferno map 2. The thing is, on their previous matches against other teams, they seem to struggle finding their flow in the T-side of the map. There are tons of miracles that they need in order to win on this map and possibly in the semis. I'm rooting for Liquid just to see Elige again in the finals against G2, my other bet.
They're on fire but Team Liquid takes game 2 and game 3. Well done for what you rooted for, they've won and they're now in the grand finals against the G2 Esports.

What are your thoughts about this grand finals?

In the group stages, G2 Esports did better than Team Liquid but, Team Liquid did it through the hard way in the losers bracket up to the grand finals.

Both teams I picked ended up winning, even though I just slept through the tournament  Cheesy Liquid's entries and retakes have been nothing but amazing very recently compared to what they did in the Fall Finals. Elige has been very instrumental in all of those trade engagements; NAF has been very great in entries; OSee is slowly proving himself to be one of the best AWPers of this era; Yekindar popping off and stepping up on clutch scenarios and preventing most eco saves to happen and of course, nitr0 proving that he's a capable IGL after all.

2993  Economy / Economics / Re: FTX CEO says company engaged in 'old fashioned embezzlement' under SBF on: December 17, 2022, 10:53:32 PM
And to think that I even watched a video not long ago about SBF's philanthropy is just laughable. I know that other head honchos of other companies are also using their customers' money for some other things, it's just that SBF misappropriated the money so bad that he blew a huge amount that everyone took notice easily. Had he been mild on doing this, I don't think he'll have a problem with the law and with other people at all.

Kevin Oleary stated that what he thinks triggered the collapse of FTX is when Binance forced FTX to buy back the 20% shares Binance is holding.  Surprisingly Oleary pointed out Binance as the reason for the FTX collapse and not the fraud SBF had done to the funds of FTX investors.  He even states that stuff during the house hearing when Oleary has been asked during the hearing, of course, SBF being absent due to the arrest prior that day.

It looks like they are pinning Binance for this massive loss that makes FTX collapse which now put Binance in the hot seat.

It's like he's insisting that Sam Bankman-Fraud is the lesser of the two evils. Binance forcing them to buy back the stocks won't matter that much anyway. Perhaps it might be a separate case but I don't think it will catch steam and traction as this case against SBF progresses. The case is about SBF misappropriating the funds, and what Binance did that added to the downfall of FTX is another story.
2994  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty hunters, how much you really earned in the last two years? on: December 17, 2022, 10:25:56 PM
If this is 2017 - 2018, a lot of people here probably made tons if they are consistently doing the bounties. If it's in 2020 to present, obviously there will be little to none. Most bounties switched to USD in paying their bounty hunters which kinda diminished the potential earnings of bounty hunters. Switching the pay to fixed rate kinda destroyed the bounty hunters' economy and gigs, and those who remained are those who do not do much for work really because the pay became awful and is no longer something worthwhile for most people.
2995  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your mood cant chage a game results on: December 17, 2022, 09:54:29 PM
I'd say let them be. I wouldn't ruin anyone's mood by saying them the harsh truth on their bets. They already lost money on the bet that they made, why would I add salt to the injury? If they believe that being positive may change the outcome of their bets then so be it. That helps them stabilize their minds and enjoy whatever it is that they're watching even if they're losing their bets. Obviously being positive all the time on things that are already losing ground doesn't help in changing anything, but it does help the people around you to not feel so bad on the outcome of their decisions.

2997  Economy / Economics / Re: Bodyguards and security service Will be booming soon for sure on: December 17, 2022, 11:37:29 AM
Isn't that something that's already booming anyways? Security service and bodyguards are more prominent in this era. Even relatively unknown 'celebrities' and influencers are getting their fair share of bodyguard/security service. Some of them are genuinely concerned on their security, while a huge number are just concerned on how to look good in public and how it portrays importance on their image.

I'm genuinely interested on the rise of funeral service. It's something I haven't heard of yet Cheesy
2998  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: December 17, 2022, 10:08:03 AM
Does anyone have any predictions for the semi-finals, I haven't determined my predictions for now Smiley
I got Team Liquid and Faze to win the semi-finals but with the given odds I think the over 2.5 might be the best play given how we rarely see 2-0s in this tournament.

Also, i'm only taking both favorites since the Blast promotions offered by 500casino have been hitting but if i'm not participating in the promo i'd go for the overs than picking any side.

Maybe you are right. It is better to go over and then you can parlay it +1.5 maps to get a higher odd. It is very hard to predict the winner of these matches, but I will risk a few bucks on OG and G2. They are underdogs but this tournament has a lot of upsets so maybe we will have upsets in the semis too. Here are the odds of today's matches.

Might throw in some $$$ towards G2 just because of those odds and not how they performed recently. I'm still 50/50 on their composure and their ability to play as a team as of late even though they just won against Vitality, a relatively strong team on its own right. M0nesy, as usual, is the one carrying this team even though niko has some help with hooxi leading in to the charge on some rounds. It would be an interesting match against the two teams but I'm leaning more towards G2 making a miracle again and breezing past FaZe in the semis.
2999  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do online casinos disadvantage some locations from winning big on: December 17, 2022, 09:09:27 AM
I'm not sure of such issue happening with the gambling platforms. But, similar things of rigging could happen with platforms that focus on scamming the users. I've seen people making comparison between different times zone having difference in the win probability. I'm not sure, this is just a coincidence or something that is happening out of the algorithm based on which the games were developed.

Rigging? possible as we have seen accusations about it in the past, if I remember it correctly, colluding in poker game is one. But not sure how it will it affect the location of the gamblers though. I mean even land base casinos are open 24x7, so doesn't matter what time zones are you playing, because online casinos as well will be open.

The only to be at a disadvantage is that if casinos are not provably fair with their players. But our location has nothing to do with it.

I guess what OP is trying to say is that there might be some localities that are very strict when it comes to winnings of people, and it might cause an alarm to them as it may be a possible case of money laundering or whatever. I haven't heard of such thing happening honestly, and to tell you the truth the largest winning that I saw a person bag out of the establishment is way upwards of $100,000 in cold, hard cash. No alarms whatsoever, but it was made obvious by the fact that the casino manager himself escorted the winner outside the building holding two bags of money, together with the casino security up to the parking lot. They never do that even to VIPs, just to people who won big at their platform hoping that the hospitality will make them come back and lose that money to the casino again.
3000  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are we ever going to see this on gambling platforms some day. on: December 16, 2022, 11:55:11 PM
There were some platforms that tried to do this just a year or two ago, and even now there are still some people trying to push this but unfortunately it hasn't caught on with the interest of people just yet. Perhaps people only want to game and not add any money to it because they know they suck at it Cheesy but it's a pretty great idea if you ask me. I've been playing those kinds of video games for decades, and in my childhood days we used to go to other cities just trying to find people whom can we make a bet on with these games. Most of the time we win, but a lot of times we're just chasing the thrill of it.

Kinda forgot the name of the site but they even had tokens that you can exchange to crypto once you've accumulated enough of it in your PvP journey.
