dead or not, I am currendly having great fun mining it by just using the wallet. It makes about 15 Texas per hour. And taking accout, that I have always 6 or more peer connections, wich is unusual for such a low networkhashrate, i would assume, that I am not the only one. Because this is a great opportunity for beginners to experience some kind of "retro-bitcoin-feeling" i will now give a short description on how to do it and ask the "pro's" to restrict themself not to instamine this one (for now it has zero value anyway). I am sure our market would highly benefit, having more newbie-opportunitis like that. here it goes (I tryed to take in account all things that could go wrong for a newbie and hope its bulletproof): 1) install the walletsoftware 2) start it and then close it again 3) go to the datadirectory (on Windows something like /user/yourname/APPdata .../texascoin ) 4) create a textfile in that directory named texascoin.conf 5) put following into the textflile: rpcuser=CHOOSEaNAME rpcpassword=CHOOSEaPASSWORD rpcallowip=127.0.0.1,* rpcport=21034 port=11034 gen=0 server=1 listen=true genproclimit=-1 addnode 128.199.165.180:11034 addnode 188.226.248.45:11034 6) open the wallet again an wait untill it (important) finished syncing (see on the right bottom corner) 7) close the wallet and open the textfile again change gen=0 to gen=1 9) open the wallet again and encrypt it via the settings menu (the wallet will have to restart) choosing YOUR-ENCRYPTION-PASSWORD 10) go to "help" and open the debugwindow, then choose the "Konsole" tab 11) now enter "walletpassphrase YOUR-ENCRYPTION-PASSWORD 999999" and press enter 10) now enter "setgenerate true -1" 11) after a minute control your success by typing getmininginfo 12) if you type "help" you get a bunch of funny commands to play around with have fun if you have questions, ask here, I am monitoring the thread (@DEV guess who's job I am doing here) everybody else (blogger, writer, boardmembers ... ): spread this article outside the Crypto Community, so that new users can try this .

Jasper is a beautiful name.
yes, maybe chatcoin is to limiting, Jasper sounds great :-)

Nice!! Looks like decent hardware too! Why limit it to 10 altcoins...? Why not 250? I know of some I'd like to see there Devvie twitter.com/devnullius Very nice, limit of 10 coins is kind of low & 250 might be way to many. Is it going to be the top 10 coins only, interesting to see? Will watch this, best of luck.
Every coin who is willing to contribute the amound, we need in the crowdfunding and who meets the requirements (see announcement), will be able to join. We will not judge any coin, their community will do that. The limit of 10 coins however, is just to keep the first implementation of our software save to handle and to collect experiences on a manageble scale (and as a side effect, we are able to give the contributing coins some first mover avantage, which they surely deserve). In the long run, we like to provide market access to as many coins as possible (though "possible" is a notion, wich has still to be defined by our and our partners experiences). As some potential partners already experienced we are aproaching them steady, but carefully step by step, because once choosen we will stay with them and will feel resposible for their success. .

I'm testing, but I think I still have a problem... This is what I had... I could not sync, so I downloaded the installer again and according to my running wallet (v1.0.0b) there was a newer version released since I last tried. So I thought nothing of it and installed the new version. Which crashed at startup. (I'll edit details later) A little panicking later I luckily had an old copy of the MMXIV2 wallet and installed that again. Wouldn't start either! Same error (see edit). So I took an older backup wallet and replaced that for the new one. That worked again: my address is safe again. But now I'm going to need to update the wallet to v1.0.1 and therefore probably create a wallet crash again... Sigh. Who has been here? Should I request a new swap with new wallet?? XD Let me know for I have to bug the developer again... I'd like to know what's up! Devvie twitter.com/devnullius The crash at the beginning (first run) is a quite normal experience and not permanent. But sometimes it keeps crashing if a not properly detached database or even parts of it are still in the data folder. Try this, wich is the savest way: 1) backup your datafolder make shure to have a save copy of your wallet.dat 2) uninstall the current mmxiv2 wallet 3) delete the remaining datafolder 4) install the newest version 5) start it and watch it crashing 6) before next run enshure (via taskmanager) that it is not still running as a gostprocess 7) start it again (it should get staple on the second/third run) and wait for any connection close the client again and replace the wallet.dat with your backed up copy (ONLY the wallet.dat, not any other datafile) 9) start the wallet again and .... good luck :-)

Hm, I not shure Texas would be THAT proud of you

I really can't complain about the swap. Shure, you will always be able to find someone, who handled this and that more or less sophisticated. But ask yourself: What do you really want? A wallet and coin that never updates and dies? Everywhere around us are threads full with scamcoins, disappering maintainers and chinese copycats. Here you have somebody who stands by his creation and risks really everything. When things went wrong there was always a honest aproach to fix them. So what do you need, to give a coin your REAL support? If you know better how to do it, help him. Why should a coin stand by his community, if the community does not stand by its coin?

If we're considering name changes... some other gem stones that might work:
Jet Jasper Iolite
Not sure if any of these have been used before.
JetCoin and Iolite sound good
what about chatcoin because of the chatfunktion

I sent this PM to the developer - op poster Hope he responds finally HELLO, I've been told I really need to be with you to get the coins from my old wallet into the new one... So here I am! How to proceed??? My received transactions were on 1J5XVoy32bgqGwro9jv1gjxxpDk6TL3QEN 24bf721157b15ede1678f9af4b55b7cc1599edb8621b793fb690c9a58367152e-000 1.73451028 MMXIV PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE with 50% I'm running hugely behind and I was eager to switch ASAP twitter.com/devnullius I am curious how OTHERS got their coins exchanged?? Ok, I have been waiting for weeks for the Fork to PoS. Last Friday it stopped synchronizing so I immediately went for the new Wallet. 50% PoS!! BUT.. New wallet ignores the old wallet??? What to do, I'm rather panicking by now If I try to copy the old wallet to the new %AppData%\MMXIV2 folder, all I get is: A fatal error occurred. MMXIV can no longer continue safely and will quit. EXCEPTION: NSt8ios_base7failureE CDataStream::read() : endo of data C:\Program ...\MMXIV-Qt.exe in Runaway exception. twitter.com/devnullius The old wallet and new wallet are on different blockchains, the wallets are not compatible. You need to send a PM to MMXIV to get your coins swapped over to the new chain (this REALLY needs to be in the OP). I was late to. I sent him a PM with the passsword and i sent him my wallet.dat per mail. After three days the coins showed up in my new wallet and the amound was even a bit more than i sent him. Really great! A word to the staking issue: To have peace in mind open the debugwindow and type "getinfo" there you can see the coins staking, and can be shure that it is only a matter of display, the process is working

7% premine feels pretty big. People will worry that you'll dump it as soon as your coin get any value At least its not hidden We are launching the project. Whether you like it or not. As for premine - has already been said that the coins will be spent on the development and promotion. Many Give a coin every day for their enrichment. We give an example of the last month, at least one worthwhile ideas in the coin? No such. All that has been created so far in the best case will be forgotten in a month. Our coin, as if you did not want to continue to exist. This is the real alternative to bank deposits. The price of the coin will only grow, as opposed to trading for BTC or LTC, and where prices are falling and just lost interest in them. I also understand the skepticism in its development, but they also judge that earn the respect of the community is not so simple and we will do so - by developing our services further. It is understood that the project is not fully ready, there are not many features yet, but we're working on it and will continue to promote our project. This is NOT english, written by any european (regardleöss of natve and not native english speaking areas) this is CHINESE english. Its much better than usualy and soner or later you will get us, thats where the world is heading today, but not for now, keep trying ;-) SCAM is our best stress test. It makes us strong enough, to challenge real markets out there ...

Add cloakcoin Cloakćoin is really one of the most active and inovative Altcoins, I like it. If you like to see it on our ATMs, Tell the DEV about our Project. We would be happy to answer his questions and be honored, to welcome him on our ATMs

Do you have any experience writing ATM software? This is a Genesis1 machine, what's the extent of their involvement?
Good question We are working with developers, which have the required skills for developing this kind of software (in fact most of the components are already done), but we have also talked to Genesis and we are currendly evaluating, how to achive our goals, by involving their team into our idea, because Gensis has always been a relaible partner for us

Ok, we have ended deposits with the old chain on Bittrex. If you still want to transfer your coins from the old chain to the new, you will need to provide me your wallet.dat, or private keys, from the old chain so I can verify your balance
Hy, how do you like me to send my wallet.dat? Any email prefered? I just returned home and have been away for about a week. P.S. You still have our P.M.'s about the ATM Contracting, please contact Gideon (or if you have questions i am always here for you) Matthias

I really find the approach of not going into exchanges for a first periode of time quite nice. What was the advantage for those coins, that went pumped and dumped before they could have been emerging with some adoption or features. I am not shure how this will play out, but it is better than no new approach to that problem. I am looking forward to find out. @DEV: If you are really having a plan, keep going ;-)

A very interesting project indeed ! Sent over an email with some additional questions Yes found your mail, thank you for your interest, I will take care of your questions.

So guys, any updates on progress so far? How are you planning to spread out now?
Yes there are constandly things going on, with those, who got in touch us. We just have to be carefull with our communication in public (not every company loves our Idea), thats, why you will not expect finding any "updates" here. But you are welcome to ask anytime any question, even if you are not in business with us, just send me a PM. We are open to every conversation with any crypto enthusiast, :-)

so you spend weeks crying like a fool makeing threats to crash cinni and other coins. and now you make your own coin, well copy and paste clone anyway with a silly name..... attempting to recover some loss's are we??
Consider this (just an idea, i have in my mind). We may concider to play to each others coins as bad as we can. (Note: I would not do so and trample the hard work of a dev, who doesn't share this opinon). In fact we should try to harm our coins as much as we can, because how can we expect from our cryptos to survive or even better to challenge institutions like a Central Bank, if they don't even survive our traders community. We don't lag on friendly people, we lag on enough recouces to test our innovations against the opposite of friendly people. So I am a big Fan of all those FUDSTERS, if their FUD is entertaining enough. Why I am writing that? Because while researching about SaltX and about, whos behind that, i found utclovers comments mostly being quite reasonable and on top of thar I found him being one of the most honest supporters of your CINNI . I assume, that misunderstanding their greatest supporters, may be one of the most popular Coindevs mistake. @utclover I am shure the thread around your Coin will be fun to read while mining this thingy. Do you have any more plans with this project?
