2981  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Please be ready on: December 10, 2022, 10:29:16 PM
I just want to say hello. In a hundred+ years they will look back on what "Satoshi" did in absolute awe. We're here now ladies and gentlemen!!!! Just appreciate it!!! We are living through one of the most important times in human history. Bitcoin is a real store of interplanetary value.

I really do not get your topic. Your message or post somehow does not align with your topic. If I may ask what were your trying to insinuate?  Going by your topic, one would think otherwise but reading your content, one would see another. I think you should rephrase your topic a bit to suit your content that would be nice. Back to you content, Bitcoin as we all know is a strong store of value and has kept up with that standard for years since it's inception. I believe this is the  innovation/adopter stage so therefore there are still lots to come. For the now, this is just the top merriment one can derive as a result of the innovation called Bitcoin. There are still inovations yet to be developed and technology yet to be built. But one thing I know for sure is that Bitcoin would stand the test of time.
2982  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How important are exchanges? on: December 10, 2022, 09:00:32 PM
Bitcoins can exist without exchanges, but would you support the argument that the existence of exchanges are among the factors facilitating the popularity and accessibility that people have to bitcoins?

I will argue and agree to the fact that centralised exchange somehow aided the easy access to Bitcoin spread globally. Actually, it also aided in the quick purchase because in most locality you barely see people who will want to exchange via p2p so the only way they can do that is via centralised or decentralized exchange which is easier to access through the internet. In my own research, I found out people prefer trading and buying Bitcoin through exchange than doing p2p. When I inquired about their reasons for doing so,  they told me that they preferred it that way for security and safety reasons as to the large volume or amount of purchase, they said centralised exchange somehow is safe and secured for trading as they do conduct kyc so therefore they are ready assured of their funds and assets. There were lots of reasons mentioned by them but just these few I could list do to cut the long story short, I think OP topic is a good idea and calls for a wide range research.

2984  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My first sponsored Bitcoin seminar on: December 10, 2022, 10:40:58 AM
OP you did a good work. The task is not that easy as they think. Setting up this seminar alone shows your passion for promoting Bitcoin to the world. This little work you have done would definitely yield results positively. Looking at the background,  I saw curious gestures from participants in the seminar. I believe they have been fully imparted with the knowledge of Bitcoin. If I may ask did you put them through the setting up of their various wallets and another these people you gather what's categories of Field do they belong to. When I mean field, I mean their works, businesses etc and how can they be able to comprehend the trends of Bitcoin if incorporated into their various businesses as I see the  the seminar is not a just normal or random type.

NEWS UPDATE: House of reps orders CBN to halt new cash withdrawal limit

Following the announcement wey CBN make, say dem wan limit the withdrawal of cash to N20,000 daily and N100,000 weeky for individuals and N100,000 daily and N500,000 weekly for organisations wey suppose take place on 9 Jan 2023. The house of reps no gree at all about this recent infoment, and as a result them don order CBN to stop the implementation of this new policy and them don send the CBN governor Godwin Emefiele letter make him appear before the house on 15 December 2022, make him come torchlight about the new policy and tell them why dem go allow am to stand.

https://community.thenationonlineng.net/forum/breaking-house-of-reps-orders-cbn-to-suspend-new-cash-withdrawal-?xg_source=twitter

This na very interesting topic we don dey discuss here and I don read many people opinion. But e get wetin I discover for Nigeria. Anything wey happen, we must take side whether we understand the benefits or not. Especially when we no trust government because of their incompetence, anything wey dem do no dey sweet us.

But me dey always analyse the matter without hatred or bais. That was why I no dey against the redesign of naira when the news been come out and we later see the impact.

For this matter, house of assembly no get our interest for mind. Make dem getawt. Since we kerosene dey expensive dem don debate because of rural people? Na cash withdrawal wey dem wan use rural area dodge bullet?

Me I believe say everything get the good and bad side of their existence. You see this new withdrawal policy mata, e actually make sense say CBN do am like that this period wey be say election dey near make dem checkmate to see the in and out flow of money from banks and know how e dey go. Our national assembly dey para because e affect them onto say dem no go fit withdraw huge cash from bank again to do their runs hence dem dey summon the CBN governor to come answer them. I just pray the CBN governor no answer dem at all. Make him for just continue with him work without any fear or favour.  This policy no too much affect the masses because of the current economic situation as everybody don dey mind their expenses and expenditure but atleast, the policy go help this festive season make person to too no dey spend to much
2986  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I became Independent Because of Cryptocurrency on: December 09, 2022, 10:41:54 PM
I know this is just silly story but I want to tell you that my bitcoin journey is not fascinating but here I want to tell.
In 2017 I started Bitcoin trading and also got skeptical in crypto. I lost too much much money but I got resilient. Cause I know that their is a future for me in this.
After late 2019 beacsue I took admission in university and now I am  independent and I do not need Money from my parents and that's good for me. I started making Money from crypto. I am And that was joy for me. Now I am making 100 dollars plus form crypto. That is enough for me.

Being independent is a thing many wants to celebrate about. It means you being financially stable and  taking your responsibilities by yourself but i must say this note that crypto is volatile and can note guarantee your a steady source of income. Yest it can be an alternative investment or option for you to bank on but it would be nice you diversify your investment like the adage says " do not carry all your eggs in one basket" and another thing you should note  "not your keys, not your coin"  i will suggest that you put your coin in your own wallet which you a;lone have access to. If you have been following up with the happenings on the crypto space of lately, you will be extremely careful and thread with caution as regards your digital assets and funds. Once again congratulations on being financially  independent.
2987  Economy / Services / Re: Urgent need for writers on: December 09, 2022, 10:08:30 PM
I need writers. Ping me on Telegram: @ElevatedWarrior.
Be ready to do a 500-word sample. Good luck!

Its nice you have an offer on article writing because i see no difference from what you are requesting from article writing  but how about making your offer  look this way ; be ready to show a sample of your previous work or send link to your past work this would show some level of seriousness on your end rather than wanting a writer to be hired to start writing for you a sample of your work or how ever the case maybe, it does not augurs well. So i will suggest you  review your offer and criteria for hiring so it can be flexible between you and your prospective employee.

If you can as well state or give a brief scope of the nature of the job here, also pay rate would make it more interesting to attend to.
2988  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why I Disliked Bitcoin on: December 09, 2022, 05:14:43 PM
We all have our own stories and experience to share. Every single minute that passes comes with a new technology and innovation. These are like the daily happenings and events around us. We choose to upgrade or be left behind which I believe non of us would want to be left behind.

When I first heard of Bitcoin years past, I thought it was the normal gimmicks of scammers to steal funds but I never knew it was a different boiling game altogether. It was later on I realized it was genuinely but I was closely monitoring it to see how it goes because of the terrible experience I had then so because of that occurrence I became skeptical of online activities when it comes to funds and assets but at last I was free of those thoughts.
2989  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Father of Blockchain on: December 09, 2022, 01:45:37 PM
It is said that science precedes products by several decades While we are today talking about the Blockchain revolution, let's talk about the man who built the concept of digital currency. David Chaum, as we know him was a professor who created concept of vault system in 1979 during his doctorate.

Infact he held the first annual crypto and cryptology conference, called 'CRYPTO' back in 1980.

He introduced the concept  digital cash on basis of blind signature and group signatures, a form of basic decentralised ledger which is the basis of Blockchain today..

He was so ahead of his time and i think this guy does deserve respect for being the father of Blockchain as i believe he is known

In as much as everyone has his or her own opinion, there are some limits to things. I am not arguing or doubting you in anyway, because I believe you must have done research in one way or the other to have arrived to conclusions with the above statement made so far but I want to as well inform or better still remind of of the fact that there are some people onboard this platform who would find this post of yours offensive and not welcoming. In other to be on the right track with factual evidence I would have suggested you show or upload the source of this your findings. This thing is what researchers do to back their findings. It would help along way to cushion some reactions that might likely come to play as a result of your update. It will be nice next time you furnish us with evidence such as Link so we could read more about any such post in the nearest future.

2992  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banks do not want bitcoin to become popular on: December 08, 2022, 08:31:20 PM
I came across this news on CNBC where standard chartered bank claims that bitcoin will reach 5000$. Being a bank, this can be their wish and not a reality. Banks do not want bitcoin to become popular and therefore they spread this negative information so people panic sell and do not adopt bitcoin.  Sad

I am not surprised seeing this at this very moment. We all know the banks are wary of Bitcoin  surpassing their existing stand.  The long feud between banks and Bitcoin will never come to an end till one of them either way bend or bow to the other which I know for sure the bank will.
Do not forget the beginning of Bitcoin how it was ridiculously ridiculed but it was not the end of the road for Bitcoin as it surpassed their imaginations. Now they see Bitcoin as a treat to their goals in getting more profit from individuals with no knowledge what's they do with their funds. I laugh some times because the banks that agitates against Bitcoin have bankers fully as Bitcoiners you know that is laughable. It is only a blind and deaf human would take the talks and prediction of banks against Bitcoin existence serious.
2993  Economy / Gambling / Re: chinese bookmakers with tf gaming platform NO KYC on: December 08, 2022, 07:51:48 PM
I see at BTC365.com that they are licensed from Montenegro. That immediately reminds me of the Cloudbet platform, but I don't think this is a Cloudbet project. I also don't know if this site is reliable. They don't have an ANN on Bitcointalk and I can't find a lot of info about them either. Founded in 2020 so it seems, so still fairly new on the market. That doesn't always mean much. You will have to look and judge based on reviews from other players whether or not you are going to play here. I wouldn't put any money into it right now.

Why looking for a kyc free casino using Crypto currency when in the real life your country put a ban on Crypto from being recognized and not operational. Is there no local casinos licensed in your country to identify with.  By the way you made mention of btc365 being a scam project. Probably, you  might have had a bitter and terrible experience to had said that. Do you mind sharing your experience with us for clarity and putting up sure link and proofs to that claim so we all could take caution while dealing with them.
Currently speaking regulations attached to casinos in respect to kyc are kind of not reversal. Most Governments have had these agencies watch on casinos, so I believe they the casinos would not want to fall victim of any circumstances that would affect their operation or license being revoked.
2994  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🛠️nice2win🛠️ web3 casino powered by smart contracts on: December 08, 2022, 07:27:47 PM
Nice having you back onboard the platform. Seems you went back to your drawing board to re-strategies for the task ahead. You have done absolutely well mapping out your point of focus. As I can see you now have a better interface with numerous output for your potential customers and bettors. I see where somewhere $1 was mentioned, I would want to know your minimum bet fee and withdrawal. If I may ask how swift is your customer care service to responding to urgent attention.

I see you give $2 to members wether they win or not. If I may ask from where do you make such budget from. Is it possible that such policy be sustainable for a long term. If yes how do you go about it. I w am curious about This particular aspect because you can not tell us that if it happens that you have a million number of registered members onboard your casino you would give them all $2 from where do you get that funds from. I am curious because it sounds funny though.
2995  Other / Archival / Re: online lottery games on: December 08, 2022, 03:30:05 PM
I don't see it different with other lotteries in other countries,

(a) still based on pure luck
(b) if this is under the government regulated lottery, then they will have to pay the winner

So not sure how they are going to rigged it, again here in our country it will be supervised and then show in live tv what numbers are drawn.

Lotteries and every betting site is being run on trust, which is why the lotteries should show transparency and trustworthiness if there are reports of rigging the game they will support and many wills opted not to bet, like in your country, our country is also supervising the lottery draw because the government-owned and run the lottery it also televised with an independent panel of observant, the drawing is above suspicious 30% of the profit of the lottery goes to the government coffer that supports the health system and this is a huge amount, so they make it a point not to lose support from the bettors.

If you talk of trust, there are just few of them that are reliable and trustworthy to deal with. The most of them is winz.io. Transparency is what bettors look at when placing a bet or identifying with your casino. Your credibility is what attracts more participants which in the long run increase the numbers of traffic on your website.

Lotteries are mostly looked into buy government because they benefit hugely from it irrespective of where it is located. I just realized owners of casinos and gambling operating nation's are most at the ghetto areas because they make heavily there without much interference on their behalf government.
2996  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cloudbet | Bitcoin Casino & Sportsbook | The No.1 Bitcoin Gambling Site on: December 08, 2022, 03:08:04 PM

All this discussion makes me think badly of the site, at one point I didn't create an account here at cloudbet, but I read so many things that I'm scared to deposit here, this casino has a long time and the only reason it has gone bad is that they have come, changed hands or something like that so that everyone is talking like that, my question is: Is it reliable or not? I see new accounts in the forum and they speak as if the had other accounts in the forum, and those are things that make us doubt, some say that it is reliable, I don't know what to think.
If a friend asks me about this casino, or how it works and if it is legal, she would have serious doubts to answer.

The casino is legal, it has a license and it has been operating for 9 years. If the casino had problems, it would have closed long ago. Another thing is that due to the large number of players, there may be dissatisfied players. There are always players in all casinos who are dissatisfied with them. After all, no one wants to lose their money in a casino.

I have noted that many old casino with many users have very lazy support.
It is necessary to wait a lot. That is why it is better to pass verification and read the terms of use not to have any problems and not to ask support.

That's the real problem there and they need to realize that there costumers are pissed off towards this laziness they do in terms of answering some queries or even solving issues. If they have slow or unresponsive support I guess you need to move on the next platform which have active support since we always have a choice and to many casino offers what they have here. Its so nonsense to anyone to stay on a casino if they feel uncomfortable on issues they encounter or experience.

Customer care service is another arm or wing of a company or organization. The Swift response to issues or matters when customers are in need of urgent help and need immediate response is a major focal point.  This is a major factor that somehow attracts customer. I have been able to do a survey on customer care and I came to realize that many people left patronizing their regular vendors to another because of their customer service. This gave me an insight of a better management skills to look more into customer services as a priority so as to satisfy them properly because without them theirs no business and money  to run and maintain their services. So therefore, every casino should be able to look into their customer services or else they tend to loose more customers because nobody wants to waste his or her time waiting for customer service that is most responsive in time. They would rather take the next platform than wasting their precious time.
2997  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What should be my fear? on: December 08, 2022, 01:28:44 PM
The fear of the unknown market was the major reason why  you were asked to invest what  you know you can afford to loose. Bitcoin was initially invented by Satoshi Nakamoto to be a currency in its own alone which would be used for transaction or invariably payment for goods and services rendered but however, people turned it to an investment which became the norm about Bitcoin. Since then people thinking Bitcoin is for investment purpose which is contrary to the invention.

Back to your question of what should be your fear. There are lots of things you should know about Bitcoin before purchasing it. At first you should know that the Bitcoin market is volatile of which you know what it means being volatile. You should be able to know that the funds you are using to purchase Bitcoin should be what you can afford to loose but be it as it may, if you are buying to hold for a long time, there is no issue as you can hodle it for a long time till you get your profit.  Lastly, you alone should  know that only you should have access to your own wallet hence the slogan you always hear or see onboard this platform " not your keys not your coin" key your key phrase safe to protect your assets.
2998  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Paid web site posting campaign - 10 cent per post on: December 07, 2022, 05:16:30 PM
This looks fishy. Looking at your rank on the platform you are a new bie here with your first posting referring platform participants to link or connect their metamask wallet address to your website.

SCAM ALERT!!!!

Run away from that website with your dear precious hard earned funds and assets or you loose your funds. No body should attempt linking or clicking on that site for their own safety.

I checked the website and this was what I found out;

I know you have already seen it  as uploaded before but to clear the doubt I had to upload it again. I checked the website  to see for myself and this was what I found above.

OP you did not say anything about the website as means of introduction to know about the site and what it is all about. What you quickly did was to put up this post for participants to click and fall prey of a suspicious scam site suspected to be  hackers.

You do not need any sooth Sayer to tell you what to do. Save  yourself some stress and be at alert.

Scammers everywhere! Be warned!
2999  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Bitcoin no longer be Bitcoin if it were adopted by everyone in the world ? on: December 07, 2022, 11:10:55 AM
Assume one day, Bitcoin would be the only survivor as cryptocurrency in the world and each individual, company, organization and goverment would abandon all fiats/currencies and take Bitcoin as the only payment. When all obstacles were gone, Bitcoin would actually become a combination of both fiat and investment asset. However, as demand and supply were not to fluctuate much, the price of Bitcoin would be really stable and the value of investment would deteriorate. The two factors/purposes (fiat vs investment asset) will be contradicting each other all the time. If that happened, what's the point of making Bitcoin worldwide acceptable while losing its value and nature of Bitcoin ?  Metaphorically speaking, the hunting dog may be killed when all prey animals are gone.

What is your opinion ? Please let me know. Thanks.

Irrespective of the growing global adoption, Bitcoin was invented for a purpose and for that purpose it would accomplish despite the challenges facing with government and other financial agencies from allowing it being adopted in their various nations. I see all these as a big solution to faster and rapid adoption of bitcoin when the time comes. Talking about bitcoin changing to another when it will be massively adopted, i doubt so if it would ever change its name or function contrary to the sole reasons for which it was invented.  Come to talk of it, what aspect of change are you referring to, are you referring to change in name or change in its function for which it was created? Well either way, i do not see any changes. If there would be any changes, it might likely be in functions and not name.

Like one of the reply here says

Satoshi created bitcoin intending to replace the centralized fiat system, meaning bitcoin is designed as a currency and not an investment asset. But people turned bitcoin into an investment and spread it to the next generations, and now most people only know bitcoin as an investment rather than a currency.
As you can see it above that is all the situation now and if there is any change you are referring to, it simply or likely as the quote above.
Talking of fiat, i really doubt if the government of various nations would allow it fade away just like that. Each and every nation has their own currency independent of any nation so how do you think  for instance,  American would want to do away with their dollar and opt for bitcoin as a legal tender? do you think European Nation would also do same? the hell no way. These nations would want to protect their  sovereign interest.
