2981  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 33000 unconfirmed transactions, OMG!, what happened?? on: December 03, 2016, 02:47:23 AM
Some entity is spamming the network with thousands of transactions.

Don't worry, the 1MB anti-spam feature is doing it's job protecting every Bitcoin user now and forever by preventing this entity's spam from bloating the block chain. They know this, will give up soon, and everything will return to normal.

If you need a fast confirmation in the meantime, simply pay a higher fee than the spam.

good news (about anti-spam feature). at least the problem is processed even it will not be so fast. so it is not a good time to send bitcoin. well I think the spammer has a purpose to do that. I do not know what the purpose is, just be careful anyone. lucky me, I did not send bitcoin last month.

2983  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wikipedia Donation Campaign and still no Bitcoin on: December 02, 2016, 01:24:14 AM
Why doesn't Wikipedia accept Bitcoin as a donation? I just checked all methods, and Bitcoin is not one.

If you want this to change, perhaps drop them a note:

donate@wikimedia.org

I think there are two possible answers of your question. the first one is wikipedia dev do not know the advantages of accepting bitcoin as donation, and the second one is they already thought many times about it and they did not find the advantages of accepting bitcoin is better than the disadvantages. imo. cmiiw
2984  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think are the biggest disadvantages of Bitcoin? on: December 02, 2016, 01:14:02 AM
What's preventing Bitcoins from being accepted as mainstream payment forms? I'm working on a new blockchain and would like to learn what drawbacks of Bitcoin urgently need to be improved Wink

I think it is because of long time waiting for transaction confirmation. bitcoin technology is already good, but some people are not comfortable to wait at least 30 minutes when they do transaction because probably they need the thing they want to buy, but it will take long to get it because the seller will only give the stuff when it is already paid.
2985  Other / Off-topic / Re: How much did you spent in the internet using bitcoin? on: December 02, 2016, 01:08:09 AM
didnt remembered maybe around 2 bitcoin till now. its really funny that i actully can not save a little peny normally but while being a trader help me save my very much money which also i spend but as a huge capital

wow, it is a big amount anyway. I myself forgot how much butcoin I spent on the internet, but it is less than $20 because I bought some stuff I did not find it online, so I bought it around here like books, shirt, etc. I just exchange my bitcoin into fiat and buy some stuff.
2986  Economy / Economics / Re: Passive Income on: November 18, 2016, 10:40:10 PM
actually I prefer to spend my time some hours on this forum making money by posting on some threads rather than learning trading or mining because I am just a students. I have many things to learn. so my brain is full enough to learng trading or mining or gamble. besides, learning them needs months even years. so I think it would be better if I earn bitcoin and open a business. it would be more profitable I think.
2987  Economy / Economics / Re: Switzerland=Bitcoin Boom on: November 18, 2016, 10:31:57 PM
Did you read today coindesk,Switzerland Central Bank is going to accept bitcoin, boom lets open bank account with BTC in Switzerland
Crazy
http://www.coindesk.com/swiss-government-paving-way-bitcoin-blockchain-banks/

If I'm not mistaken switzerland is a rich country. so if they adopt bitcoin as currency, probably it will be easier for them to be more rich.

well OP said "let's open bank account with BTC in Switzerland". is it possibble to make bank account online? because I am far away from Switzerland. haha
2988  Other / Off-topic / Re: Average Age of Bitcoin users on: November 18, 2016, 10:15:37 PM
My guess is that we are largely looking at tech-savvy millenials, so 21 to 35 would be my intuition. I myself fit into that range.

almost right. I myself is 20 years old. and probably there are bitcoin users who are still teenagers. and OP himself is 36. so I think it would be better to say around 15-40.

well it is possible that there are another users who are in 40 years above. but I don't think they are many people.
2989  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why you mostly like bitcoin compare to other digital currency? on: November 18, 2016, 02:10:05 PM
i heard many Cryptocurrency but why people mostly use bitcoin?

because bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency I know. it's probably the main reason why I prefer bitcoin than another cryptocurrency.

besides, bitcoin is the most popular cryptocurrency and the first one. it also can reach high price although it can be the lowr one, and many exchanges for bitcoin than another cryptocurrency.
2990  Other / Off-topic / Re: How much did you spent in the internet using bitcoin? on: November 18, 2016, 02:05:05 PM
well I don't spend my bitcoin much in the internet. I just spent a little bitcoin in internet to buy credit to connect to internet.

most of my bitcoin I use to buy some books and my daily needs because I am a student who is living far from my family, so I look for money (read bitcoin) to fulfill some needs.

besides, there are not many online shops here in my country accept bitcoin as payment. that's why I didn't spend much bitcoin on internet.
2991  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would happen if BTC was Banned? on: November 18, 2016, 02:00:52 PM
What do you guys think it would happen if all the governments in the world declared bitcoin to be illegal?
How do you think the community would react? What could be the possible solutions?

If I am not mistaken, many countries declare that bitcoin is illegal, but bitcoin users from those countries still use bitcoin. so I think it's their reaction.

actually if governments announce punishment of illegal bitcoin, I think some people will abandon bitcoin, but I don't think many people will do that.
2992  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do Bitcoins have Tax?? on: November 18, 2016, 01:48:24 PM
Since bitcoin is an internet currency that can be turn into a actual money. And Bitcoin too is known on Government but still government can't observe bitcoin that good. So I'm thinking if Bitcoin has tax??

Edit:
Now I know that bitcoin doesn't have tax but Transaction does..
Where do these Tax go?Government? And what kind of tax is it??

if you mean transaction fee, I think it goes to miners because they confirm the transaction.

the fees goes to the pool who process the transaction first. after that the fees are devided for each miner in the pool.

that's explanation from my friend when I first knew about bitcoin.
2993  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitCoin Friendly Countries on: November 18, 2016, 01:42:58 PM
Singapore is one of the most Bitcoin-friendly

Surprised not to see china in this list however government doesn't seem to care much about bitcoin mining farms situated in china and you can see majority of buying volume coming from china which suggest china being one of the bitcoin blooming country.

I'm also surprised not to see China on the list because as many people say China "controls" bitcoin and many miners are Chinese. probably there is another problem we don't know about china.

I think Russia is also bitcoin friendly country because there are a lot of shops accepting bitcoin there.
2994  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitCoin 20 Years From Now on: November 18, 2016, 03:45:46 AM
I guess It's better to quote the creator of BTC in this case  Roll Eyes from : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=48.msg329#msg329

Right.  Otherwise we couldn't have a finite limit of 21 million coins, because there would always need to be some minimum reward for generating.  In a few decades when the reward gets too small, the transaction fee will become the main compensation for nodes.  I'm sure that in 20 years there will either be very large transaction volume or no volume.

I don't think that one million dollar is achievable or likely to happen personally but It could be with people losing their coins and halving block reward each four years.

if the founder said that, then it is possible bitcoin will still exist 20 years later. but I am not really sure because anything may happen. probably the price will up even on the top, or it could be the lower even die, or the other cryptocurrency will change it. we don't know exactly, we just can predict it, but the percentage of  it is not 100%.
2995  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is there to do with bitcoins these days ? on: November 18, 2016, 03:00:12 AM
Besides using it as a currency it seems like its impossible to make money off of bitcoins unless you already have some serious cash , mining bitcoins is long done nd over with nd its seems like trading/exchange doesnt give you much of a profit , so im just wonding as someone just now arriving to this dead party whats there to do with bitcoin ?

Holding & waiting till the price raise over the years is probably the best option, of course, there are some other possibilities like opening a faucet etc... but It requires some investment.

I prefer to recommend you to save and wait until the price goes up as I saw your rank is still newbie so you need to learn more about bitcoin.

and open a new business is a good idea also. you can sell things for bitcoins. many people do that here. you can see that on Goods section in this forum.
2996  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi and Bitcoin value on: November 18, 2016, 02:55:14 AM
Well I don't think that whether satoshi appears finally or not matters to the bitcoin price. If he appears - great. Nobody will no for sure that he is the original satoshi nakamoto anyways. If he dumps his coins, alright. Cheaper coins for us to buy in. If he doesn't appear, doesn't matter. Bitcoin is already working fine.

I also don't think satoshi will appear that easy. I mean he needs to think few times before consider to appear.

and if he appears, it depends on him whether he wants to pump or dump the coins. I mean, he is the creator of bitcoin, so it is easy for him to do that because he knows bitcoin well than us.
2997  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Buying clothes with bitcoins? on: November 17, 2016, 10:38:35 PM
I found this site this days http://www.gamiss.com

Can I buy this somewhere with bitcoins, prices are very cheap, and I saw some very nice clothes there. I wonder is there some similar site, where we can use our bitcoins to buy it. Now I need to ask people with credit cards to buy me this, I dont have one. But with bitcoins I would be able to buy it by myself.

if you want to see another clothes that are sold for bitcoin, you can go to goods section at marketplace. I found people sell clothes there, but mostly bitcoin t-shirts. but it is not a big deal to go there.

you can also find on local section people sell clothes for bitcoin. just check it out.
2998  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Sell something here. on: November 17, 2016, 10:34:21 PM
Just check the Goods section, you can find a lot of different things also you can google for shops that accept bitcoin by the way the problem with the market is the taxes of importation, for example a guy in USA buying something from China will have to pay shipping and taxes so we should open our doors to local market.

yeah, there many kinds of thing sold there. you also can find something different in local selling threads, I have ever found traditional goods sold there.

about your beauty product, I've ever seen kind of thread. they also sell beauty product, but I don't know how many people have bought something there. so just try it.
2999  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Where could I buy medicine for Bitcoin? on: November 17, 2016, 09:55:56 PM
In the first place what kind of ill to you have because not online pharmacy do have all kinds of medicine for all kinds of sickness. As what the jeffbrad mentioned, its very rare to have a website/shop online that accepts bitcoin for this kind of service maybe there are some but they dont have accept bitcoin yet. But all I can say you have to convert your bitcoin to fiat so you can buy it.

Edit: I've seach in google and find this one, www.bitrx.net, you can search of some review of that site and also if it has the medicine you looking for.

that's good website. I also found a website selling medicine.

you can go here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=83234.0

find some information there. they said that if you don't find medicine you are looking for, contact them, they will try to find it for you.
3000  Economy / Marketplace / Re: What type of products you would like to buy with Bitcoins? on: November 17, 2016, 02:10:48 AM
What type of marketplace are you looking for? which one is still lacking in bitcoin world
Put your wishes here!

I need online marketplace which sells students needs like bag, shirt, books (academic books, dictionary, etc), pens, etc. probably if the marketplace also sell robotics tools, t-shirt with our own design (we can request the design) it would be better because I need those, and if a marketplace sells those all, the cost will not be too expensive.
