Messi reported has refuse to talking about new contract although PSG offering him extended contract and Messi said he want to focus on world cup first because this will be his last appearance to this competition but the speculation appears regarding his future that probably he will leave PSG after his contract ended and some rumours said next destination from him is MLS league but not impossible to him will went to Barcelona again to ended his career at there
Messi won't do anything before seeing how far PSG could go in Champions League. If they win it, he will most likely stay for another year imo, if PSG will leave it before the final game, he will say goodbye and move to another club. Returning to Barcelona might be possible if he will get back his performance, otherwise if he kept performing like he did the last season, I doubt Barcelona will be interested on him. I see you all arguing whether Ligue 1 is as important and equivalent to the others leagues or not. I think everyone agree that EPL is the best league by far followed by La Liga then comes Serie A then Bundesliga and Ligue 1. There might be slight differences in terms of spending, quality of players and how much good teams there is in each league. Unfortunately in Ligue 1, if we merge it with EPL for example, a part from PSG that will pick one of the first 4 spots, OM and Monaco, somewhere between 5-10, the others will be in the second part of the table and maybe +15 for most. That's hypothetical of course but the quality of most teams in Ligue 1 is medium to low, that's why they can't compete much in european competitions. This is could be understood since the spending is very limited there.

It's hard to understand Sterling's departure from City. I'm talking about a football player who has won four League titles, an FA Cup Cup and a Champions League runner-up. These are from City time. Just when he's approaching the top of his game. City got a good transfer fee with one year left on the player's contract. But that cannot be reason enough. Because they lost a very good football player. I admit he has been unhappy lately but he would have stayed with the team if he had been given more time. I hope his new team gets a good career at Chelsea.
Sterling isn't playing enough time with City lately, he wasn't in the starting eleven in many games so it is normal for him to find a new experience elsewhere. Being a left winger with Grealish in the team also will make things less easier for both to play full game. G.Jesus also moved to guarantee playing more in another team since Haaland joined City.

It looks like Bayern will run out of money because they are very focused on getting Matthijs de Light, which the De Light transfer fee is very expensive. After that like you said Bayern will buy Konrad Laimer and extend Gnabry's contract. Then regarding Mathys Tel I doubt Bayern will buy him to replace Lewandowski. Besides being 17 years old, too young to play in the Bayern main squad, Mathys Tel's price is also quite expensive, so it's likely that Bayern will sign Mathys Tel next year. So it doesn't look like Bayern will be looking for a striker to replace Lewandowski in this year's transfer window, but that's not a problem for Bayern. Sadio Mane can play as a centre-forward, because at Liverpool also sometimes Mane played as a center forward several times and proved quite successful. Indeed Mane transfer will help Bayern overcome the transfer of Lewandowski to Barcelona but in my opinion this isn't enough. Many players fail to adapt quickly with their new teams, other can't do what they are required to in other positions that are used to play in... Taking that risk might be gambling attitude and I doubt Bayern will accept that, so I assume they will bring him as an assurance to reinforce the team and to endorse Mane. Fans will so miss Lewandowski, Lewandowski was a great player during his day's in Bayern Munich. I'm a big fan of Bayern Munich, have always wish Lewandowski to play for Bayern Munich in next season. To be Frank Lewandowski was one of the best players in the Bundesliga.
since when does Robert Lewandowski have a brother at bayern münchen ? i personally did not know that. in which position did he play at bayern ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) there is really fantastic news here in the thread! i hope Robert Lewandowski makes many good matches for barcelona . and if robert doesn't know where to put the money.... my wallet still has plenty of free BTC addresses ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) To be frank with you, Masplanc should put a "," after "to be frank" and before "Lewandowski" to avoid confusing you ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif)

Manchester United still haven't completed the Frenkie de Jong transfer. They are said to have reached an agreement for him actually but it is not official yet. The deal is said to be around 85 million euros in total. This is really huge for them and it can help Barcelona's budget become in a better condition after two big signings. Manchester United also need a midfielder like him after Pogba has left.
The price is quite big indeed but ManU needs de Jong for their midfield and Barcelona needs the money to cover the expenses of the recently signed players and for their pay check too. Barca is the one profiting the most from this transfer window and ManU is having many issues to bring players to reinforce their squad. Almost official, tier A source.
De Ligt left Juventus for Bayern.
Still don't know the money, should be around 80-90m €
Bayern could cover that after Lewandowski deal. These money will be used to fill the gap in Juve after the departure of De ligt and Chiellini..

It won't matter much for the championship. Of course Bayern will have to look for a replacement for him, but other than that Bayern still have a great vanguard. But no one was as good as Lewndovsky in recent years. Haaland would also have fitted very well into the system at Munich. I wonder who they want to get in rush hour at Munich. They will easily become champions again, but with the focus on the Champions League you will have to find a good striker quickly. And they cost money.
I am afraid the money that Bayern won from Lewandowski will be dedicated to fill the gap for De ligt signing and to renew the contract of Gnabry. Otherwise they are chasing Laimer, a midfielder, for quite long period and Leipzig are asking for €30m. The only attacker that Bayern seems interested on is Mathys Tel and it will cost them between €25-30m.

As it was expected it turns out that Cristiano Ronaldo has rejected the extraordinary offer by a Saudi Arabia team. He proved his point that it wasn't about money. He wants a challenge in the Champions League and Manchester United can't give it to him at least for this season. He doesn't want to stay any longer as a result. I wonder if there are any Premier League team interested in him now. The freshest rumour is about Atletico Madrid's wanting him.
I read about ATM interest but how much they could offer for him? He could add a lot for ATM which could become more competitive for sure but he will be attacked fiercely especially by Real Madrid fans and be mocked if the team fails. Until now, ManU is declaring repeatedly that they want him with them this season but I assume they will let him go, like Bayern did with Lewandowski, once they got a nice offer for him. BTW Bayern rejected him again.

I watched Russia in the World Cup qualifiers because they were in a group with Croatia. Realistically, it is a national team of average quality, which managed to win second place in the group and additional qualifications with a lot of luck. Even if they had been given the opportunity to participate in additional qualifications, I don't think they would have qualified for the world championship. From what I've seen, Ukraine is a better team than Russia and it's a pity for them that they won't be playing in the World Cup.
Ukraine is better than Russia in football overall but this doesn't have anything to do with which team should qualify or not. Italy is way better than Wales and we know what happened... Mixing politics with sport was sanctioned before 2022 then everything changed suddenly. I understand sanctioning someone or a team supporting the war but sanctioning a whole nation for something done by politicians is kinda abusive.

Ake and Koulibaly are officially at Stamford Bridge now and it looks like the rumors about Kimpembe and Kounde will end with these two defenders. Kounde is still worth bringing but with the high price tag and with Ake and Koulibaly I think Chelsea should be content with defense and focus more on center forwards now. Koulibaly signed a 4 years contract with Chelsea for €38m. For Ake, AFAIK he will stay with City and Chelsea will turn to Kounde. Once they secure another defender, they will focus on the other positions. Well... it is also a perfect transfer for Bayern too.
They got 50m for a 34 yo player with 1 year left in his contract.
Not sure who did the best move between Barca and Bayern but probably the german team.
It is the best move for Barcelona in short term and for Bayern in long term. Barca will have a better attacking line this season while Bayern will try to pick a new player who could replace Lewandowski for the upcoming seasons.

Next month we will see matches in the Bundesliga again, the opening match will be a match for Bayern Munich and Eintracht Frankfurt, here I wouldn't talk about score prediction for Eintracht Frankfurt vs Bayern Munich match, but talk about the candidates for the Bundesliga champion next season. Will Bayern Munich be champions as usual? or the Bundesliga champion title will be held by another team? what do you think? BTW, please give a clear reason for your statement ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) If Lewandowski will be with Bayern then they will dominate Bundesliga for obvious reasons. If he will move to Barcelona then Bayern will remain first but will be annoyed by the others mainly Dortmund. Now why Dortmund for example won't be able to be the first for me? Because they let their best players move and new players require time to adapt. Depending from that time, there will be fluctuations on the team performance, mind you they were fluctuating previously and especially when Haaland was injured. For the other teams, I don't see interesting transfers in Leipzig or Leverkusen.

I found out that Remo stars players deliberately threw away their first 3 spot kicks and their Goalkeeper also remained motionless when the opponents took theirs as a MARK OF PROTEST for the unfair officiating in the game. Well, this doesn't mean that there isn't corruption and match fixing but things like that happen regularly in basically every competition especially in small competitions and leagues. I remember few months ago a South African team was barred permanently for something like that? If I am not mistaken.. In the past and even in World Cup, there was many cases of European teams backing each other to eliminate other continent teams... Such thing is less obvious to notice nowadays. For the shown match, it was obvious that the goalkeeper and the player who kicked the ball left were able to hide these comic move and make it look quite normal defeat..

I think Manchester City will still become the champion. After the failure, they are likely to be quite active again in the transfer market and will be more balanced along the lines this season.
Yup i am one of the big fan if Manchester City and I think they will play very well next time. And they will be champions. I look forward to its winning. I am willing to bet high amount on them. Just beware in the first games since most teams have random results before getting much stable. I remember City wasn't in top in the first rounds last season but they topped the table later. I am also confident that Manchester City will lead this season too but it won't dominate it imo since Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs are building a solid team each. Even ManU is trying.

Didn't pay attention to the poll but to answer the question I selected Arsenal. Well it is very early to pick a team right now but until now I find that Arteta is making a lot of effort to build a strong squad without forgetting that Arsenal was doing good in the previous season. If I could select another team it would be Roma, mainly due to presence of Mourinho. For ManU, I am not very confident about them yet. It appears that they are getting better, they won with 4 goals to 0 vs Liverpool but it is a friendly game after all.

Why the French giants haven't won the Champions League, despite having a star-studded team.
I can answer that with a question: why Manchester City didn't win Champions League although they have one of the best squad? Why Bayern didn't make it so far in CL although dominating Bundesliga by far and having many stars? It isn't a matter of how much good players you have, it is a matter of how coherent is the players in every game, how tactically good is the coach and how much injuries they have in addition to how many mistakes were made especially in case of lack of concentration due to exhaustion. Real Madrid won its game although being behind thanks to the lack of vigilance of their opponents when facing the dangerous offence of RM.. Ancelotti made mistakes but their rivals did worst. That's football after all.

Not much has been heard of the Real Madrid reshuffle to date. I know they already have a squad that is quite optimal in dispelling various threats. On the other hand, Barcelona is the only club that is being discussed a lot because it is trying to get some additional squads. Although it sounds quite heavy the period that Barcelona went through due to not-so-good finances.
Is there any news from the Atletico Madrid club after their flop?
Real Madrid made some signing quick then Barcelona take all the attention until now while Sevilla and ATM being very shy in this transfer window. Until now, ATM got Niguez and Morata back from loans, they brought Lino a left winger and Suarez is no longer with the team, he will most likely move to USA.

If I remember correctly, the expansion of the number of participants is carried out mainly not by increasing the number of teams from Europe, but by increasing the number of teams from other regions. Therefore, although the situation will improve, there will still be a chance that several very strong teams from Europe will not get into the final part. And the fact that interest in the tournament is falling is obvious to everyone except officials. There is no point in watching most group games, they are completely pointless.
UEFA has 55 members in which 13 will play in Qatar (23.6%) CAF has 54 members in which only 5 will participate (9.2%) AFC has 46 members / 6 on Qatar (13%) CONCACAF has 35 members / 4 on (11.4%) OFC = 11 members / 0 CONMEBOL has 10 members / 4 on (40%) This is before the expansion and since 1998, you can see clearly which teams in different confederations are considered luckier than the others. (slight change of pourcentage could be made since I didn't count 0.5 possibilities). What happened with the new 48 proposal is to double the number of CAF, AFC, OFC and CONCACAF members allowed to join World Cup but increasing the number of CONMEBOL to 6.3 and UEFA to 16 made them favourites. So to answer @Sithara007, CONMEBOL teams have a chance of 63.3% of qualifying to World Cup which is x2 European teams chances and x3.5 at least the rest of the world chances which is ridiculous and unfair imo regarding that this competition is dintended to allow most countries of the world get a chance to qualify and play internationally vs other teams in different continents. Otherwise, UEFA could pick 22 best teams + 10 CONMEBOL ones and they form Bi-Continental Cup that would way better to watch than current World Cup. What makes WC (World Cup ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) ) good is when you see surprises and weaker teams advance instead of favourite bigger ones.

Chelsea are doing great in the transfer market, they have brought in Raheem Sterling which comes as a upgrade to their attack with his pace and dribbling skills. Priotizing building their defense now is a solid move. Reportedly, a deal for Koulibaly is already agreed which is a smart move for Chelsea to replace Rudiger and a few more additions to their defense and a good striker and they are good to go.
Chelsea is focusing on their defence and will likely spend more than €100m for that without including Sterling expenses. There is rumours about Koulibaly, Koundé, Aké and Kimpembe. Such spending should improve a lot the team so they can compete with City, Liverpool, Arsenal and Spurs next season since all these teams are working hard to build a solid squad!

That's right, Dembele likes Xavi's tactics, and doesn't mind staying with Barca this season. Moreover, several Barca players will also be released in the transfer market this season. Barca still hasn't gotten an improvement in the club's finances. One of the players who will be released is Frenkie De Jong who has already got an agreement with United. because previously the player was reluctant to accept a pay cut, and finally chose to leave Barcelona. this is good enough for Barca because some new players will also come in.
De Jong is asked to accept to move to ManU. Barcelona will get from that €70m. There is also bonuses that might make the deal €80m in total. I believe the price is quite high but that will help a lot Barcelona to register Dembele, Raphinha, Christensen and maybe others coming. Also getting ride of €30-35m of his salary will help a lot the club. It is a good move for the interest of both teams except De Jong himself who will have less wage AFAIK

.... Finally we will see Maguire on the bench, ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) . I was wondering if Man United actually plan on keeping him after releasing a lot of players hehe. I'm pretty sure many fans will be disappointed if he's still part of the squad next season but they may at least find it a compromise if the club has better defenders coming in. Let's see if starting from the bench lit a fire in his belly. Manchester United's position from Maguire is weird. He was directly implicated in many goals received by the team, his attitudes in the field were a joke and complication was done for that specifically, yet, they refused to let him move to Barca which bizarrely wanted him to join them, they even mentioned that he will remain the captain and he is in the planning of the team.. I believe he will start in the starting eleven for a couple of games before letting him as substitute in case he will continue playing miserably.

I don't know how much Koulibaly's transfer to Chelsea cost, although some news reports say 40 million euros plus some bonuses. If that's true then Napoli will definitely have some money to spend on getting other players in the transfer market. One name that is currently sticking out is Dybala, but Napoli are also looking for another defender to replace the vacant position after Koulibaly's move to Chelsea.
Napoli will get enough money to spend it to get some players that can improve the team imo like Dybala and to replace Koulibaly. There is rumours about Kim from Fenerbahce and Ostigard from Brighton to reinforce the central defence position.
