2981  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons why I prefer Bitcoin over any other assets and dips don't panic me.... on: December 06, 2021, 08:39:37 AM
My reason is very simple the why I prefer bitcoin than other is bitcoin does not depreciate instead it appreciate so when ever the market is going upside down you don't have to panic because it will surely normalize to it nature that my reason why I prefer bitcoin than other assets.
I think its always the nature of bitcoin to move upward rather than to stay in a low value and then eventually drop even more, its more on shitcoins. So for us long term hodlers, any price dumps brought by price correction or bear season, won't be a big deal as we know exactly that bitcoin will always recover and eventually reach new all time highs. And i guess everyday is a perfect time to buy bitcoin regardless of its price as it will never depreciate its value in the long run.
2982  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice technique on: December 05, 2021, 09:49:41 PM
Only the house will have a constant winning... That is due to the house edge, even if the house edge is less than 1%, they will still continue to win especially in the long run. It's fun to experiment with some betting techniques, but I tell you, no technique has been invented yet to defeat the house, your effort may satisfy you in short term, but eventually, you'll lose.

The only important thing to consider to enjoy in the long run is to learn how to manage your bankroll, and that requires some discipline which you need to learn first.
2983  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gervonta Davis vs. Isaac Cruz - December 5 on: December 05, 2021, 09:32:38 PM
But Davis is really good as a boxer, actually, I have no idea that Floyd is his promoter. I know some of us here do not like Floyd, but, I respect him because he is good, he doesn't cherry-pick as he fought Canelo and Pacquiao and beat them, what I don't like is his boring boxing style.
You are kidding, right? When you said you don't know that Floyd Mayweather is Davis's promoter when this is not something new within the boxing ecosystem.
Is not that people hate Floyd, I am personally his fan but I think boxing fans are tired of fighting where the match seems to fix (the Champion going after the fighter people know are easy for him to beat).

That's how business is being run now, promoters are investing in their boxers so they are protecting them, and as much as possible they will get a fight that they think they have an advantage and at the same time would sell to the crowd. Mayweather is just so smart in doing that because as a boxer and as a promoter, he is a very successful person.
2984  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is getting more bearish, what is the trigger? on: December 04, 2021, 11:47:45 PM
We can see that there is a bearish channel pattern in bitcoin and this is Bitcoin's current position, which is already in a bearish phase. Before there is a breakout of the resistance, the current Bearish will continue to occur.

If you want to invest or trade, it's better to be careful because the potential price towards the $40k level is still possible.
I think that what we are seeing is the result of the new strain of the virus that has been found at South Africa, people are very nervous about it as we do not know what will be the potential of this new strain that many think is the most dangerous to date, so the markets are going down as a result of this, and since now bitcoin has institutional investors which are also invested in the stock market then we see some correlation forming between bitcoin and the stock markets, causing bitcoin to go down in value for the time being.

Some think about that and that cause trouble for some people here but in my opinion that scattering of new strain is just temporary only but unfortunately it triggers the bear market condition that's why people need to be careful and if they cannot take the current danger what brought by the bearish market I think its good for them to relax and convert on a stable coin for a while.
I guess it will be better if we will still observe the market how far its price will go than take the risk and trade which losing is very possible this time. I also see this new covid variant may trigger the current correction and might continue into a bearish season once bitcoin will not recover. If this is the case, then we should not miss the opportunity these days to buy cheaper but potential coins as we are not really sure if the market will recover this year, or maybe by next year. But no worries for long term holders as we always have long stretch of patience to keep waiting for the right timing to sell.
2985  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin on sale, will the support continues to hold? on: December 04, 2021, 10:22:51 PM
Seems like the market is panic selling to me so no amount of supports could stop it imo. The entire market, not just crypto seems to have dropped quite heavily and as such we can probably assume that there's an external factor here at play that is influencing the market as a whole quite negatively. I reckon there's FUD spreading together with some real investors trying to pull out due to some circumstances or news themselves which caused the crashes here and there to actually happen.
FUD has been a great story every year, they always come to ruin the trend of the market and seriously, this is a yearly scenario and not a new one for me. The market is on big sale, we are down big time but for sure we will rise again after this. I’m buying good coins now and I guess this is the best thing to do than to panic at all.

This is why for those who regretted that they haven't bought bitcoin when it was low, this is already good opportunity to accumulate your satoshis. Don't wait too long because we may be going up again very soon. As we have seen, it touched 45k level but we are already in the 48-49k as we speak. So even in that short period, someone already got profits. So it depends on the user how he will take advantage of the market today, will he buy or pass this opportunity?
Bitcoin is definitely in a dump price today but it does not mean that bitcoin will continue to be dumping for long. It will always recover from all types of dumps and this current correction might be a good reason to increase its new ATH in the coming days. Instead of waiting for the price to go up, why not take this chance to buy cheaper bitcoin and continue hodling it, we don't know the price will start to recover in the next few hours so better take advantage of the current market condition. At least, even if we are not making profits today, but we preparing our investments to make profits in the future.
2986  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banks and Bitcoin- The needed change on: December 04, 2021, 09:41:39 PM
Banks won't disappear anytime soon because people don't like change very much and it takes time to force any kind of lasting change in society.

Some people say that traditional banks will disappear due to the emergence of cryptocurrencies because it gives consumers another option when they need financial assistance; however, I think this is unfounded speculation.
Well that has been said so many times by a lot of people, but it’s really hard for me to believe that right now. Banks are still going to be around, may looking at the way things are going, because we know that that’s what the government wants. First they have introduced their own central banks digital currencies (CBDC) which the banks are actually going to be in control of.

A few countries have rolled out this CBDC: China has released their own cryptocurrency which we all know as the Digital Yuan, and Nigeria followed with their digital Naira or E-Naira. It’s possible that more and more countries would still be releasing their own digital fiats as there has been so many talking about it. And it’s also quite possible that there would those that would declare Bitcoin a legal tender as we have seen El Salvador do, but that didn’t make them replace the banks with cryptocurrency.
Crypto is now becoming more inevitable as its adoption will certainly take place sooner. But despite all of these, banks on the other hand will never be threaten as they will stay for good no matter what. As long as the government is always at the back of banks, then banks will always operate and i still think that a lot of people are still needing banks. And with crypto, more people are now inclined to it so they are now aware on how to use it just like using fiat. But as long as crypto or bitcoin in particular is decentralized, it will always be an option for fiat.
2987  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Never sell for a loss - is a Myth !! on: December 04, 2021, 09:00:54 PM
This is why I think "Never sell for a loss" is a myth and we should always use a stop loss and play safe with a good risk to reward strategy.
Many are afraid to sell at a loss because they still believe that the market can recover same thing on their holdings and there’s nothing wrong with that, we just have to respect that decision to keep on holding. For me, we all have different strategy and I personally have that stop loss level to secure and keep my money safe because I can always buy at the bottom price and this could be more profitable. Re-access your strategy, cut loss is something that you should understand more and don’t take it negatively.
The problem with some traders is that they take stop loss as nothing but not so important which i think is very important though because it will help us to minimize the losses that we are going to experience. Although this is not applicable at all times but for me, its best to set stop loss every time you plan to sell your coins.

However, the myth "never sell for a loss" is definitely true for all investments. But if we can create some preventions not to lose that much like having a cut loss or stop loss is never a bad idea as long as we are taking it on our own advantage.
2988  Economy / Economics / Re: In 2021 to 2022 you decide your life and wealth on: December 04, 2021, 08:23:58 PM
The bottom line here is,

Our future is in our own hands.

Our approach in life especially our decisions related to cryptocurrency trading and investments is significant because it depends on how it will gonna affect our financial status in upcoming years. Like having a good plan and decisions for holding bitcoin for long term and then rebuying at the dip for future profits.
the sentence "our future is in our hands" is a perfect sentence...

I am a person who does not believe that being poor or rich is a destiny because many are born poor but become rich or vice versa. The point in life is to focus, persevere and be smart in doing everything.
True. We are making our own future. We can be rich or poor, it depends on how we live our lives. If we are living in a positive mindset that we can make more progress in the future by being hardworking and determined at the present, then all these positivity will attract positive results in the future. However, if we tend to be more contented of what we have at the present and not doing things to improve and go out from our comfort zone, then we will remain poor throughout our lives. Our future will reflect on how we manage our present so live by it.
2989  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your market prediction for the year end - 2021 on: December 04, 2021, 07:47:40 PM
I really don't know if the market is bullish or bearish as the value of Bitcoin has been volatile, moving between $55,000 to $60,000 and ethereum $4,000 to $4,400. It feels like the market is sceptical on the stride to go and it's getting to the end of the year. What's your anticipation for the market?
The situation's changing really fast, and even though the end of the year is near, I'd say that predictions for Bitcoin being worth between $45k and $65k are all reasonable. If it weren't for today's drop, I would've agreed with your estimates, but, as we can see, surprises happen. It doesn't mean that Bitcoin won't recover in a few days, of course, but it changes the prospects and reminds us that a sudden drop is always a possibility. Overall, I don't think it matters because Bitcoin still shows a clear upward long-term tendency (for perspective, BTC cost $18k a year ago, $7300 two years ago, and $4200 three years ago on the same day).
This is the reason why we have to look the positive side for bitcoin than to keep seeing it more in a negative way just because of the current price falls. If we really traced the history, the current price is definitely high compared for those previous years so i think we are given much advantage on it.  So i never intend to worry much now particularly with the present price of $49,424 because with bitcoin's volatility, we can see more surprises seeing it always recover and reaching another all time high before 2021 ends.
2990  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin resistance and support price on: December 03, 2021, 07:23:10 PM
I don't think we are in a bearish market, because we are constantly reaching close to the ATH every few days, that also matches the resistance level. If it were a bearish market we would have seen a deep crash in bitcoin price with a much lower resistance level than the currently one. Days ago I saw resistance was around 59,000$, then 57,000$ and now 55,000$. That looks good for me and it is a possible signal bitcoin can surprise everyone positively at any moment rising to an inedit ATH. December is a good month for bitcoin, so I'm hopeful bitcoin can make it before the end of the year.
I think that's the reason why we opt to be hopeful and optimistic because of this december trend. If we traced back its history, december is mostly the peak season of the year, so as much as possible even if we are seeing price dumping for bitcoin, we still chose to be more positive when it comes to bitcoin. Although the market is now starting to look bearish, but if we try to zoom it out, $55k or even $54k is still a huge value compared to other coins' prices. Instead, we should be thankful and grateful for this as bitcoin is giving us high value which simply means high profits too.
2991  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to accumulate more bitcoin other than buying with FIAT. on: December 03, 2021, 10:50:35 AM
How are people accumulating more bitcoin other than buying it with fiat?

I’m watching videos on Youtube and reading forums and i see a commonality of people saying to accumulate more bitcoin and not to day trade. But how does this work? Or are there other ways to grow your bitcoin portfolio? Can you explain a little bit in detail?

There are various of ways to earn BTC without purchasing it via fiat.

First, you may offer your services and skills for a consideration of BTC under the marketplace. Dozens of people have already created threads where they offered to do something in particular to an individual and the payment is through bitcoin. Another thing, you may also participate in campaign signatures where the payment is usually paid in BTC weekly.

In my opinion, I consider the 2nd method to be the most convenient way of earning but the only hindrance would be your forum rank.

Right. As you can’t participate in most of the signature campaigns that are paid in bitcoin once your position is still in newbie, member or full member. You still have to level up your position so you will be qualified. In addition to your various ways, if you have some other potential coins in your portfolio, you can sell it and convert into bitcoin. In this way, there’s no need to pay for it. You can consider too mining for bitcoin if you are aiming for huge number of bitcoin but that may somehow require a capital to make it possible. But i believe the best way to accumulate bitcoin is through purchasing it with fiat. The more you spend, the higher chances for you to make bigger profits.
2992  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Basic trading strategy for newbie to make a profit on: December 03, 2021, 08:48:39 AM
Due to social media bounty and airdrop getting less payment. I decided to make a trade.
But I'm really confused how to start the trading so that I can make a profit daily. I need a reference where I can learn about it.
If anyone have a good chanel sugestion for learn in trading crypto, please reply.
Thank you 😊

You can search for details on social media. Youtube is a good source of searching for such information. Also, many traders have shared their experiences in different forms. You can get guidelines by reading those articles. Also, I would like to suggest you first learn and then start trading. As trading without having proper information and knowledge can result in financial loss and disappointment. To avoid committing such mistakes.

As a trader, you should always start with learning the basics by gathering and increasing your knowledge in trading and on the crypto market itself. There are a lot of resources available online for free so it’s up to you how you will utilize your time so you will come up with productive learning. You can have youtube or social media but I prefer you explore more on youtube as you can find free demos there that will best suit to you as a beginner. And once your done, give yourself a chance to finally experience trading as its the reason why you’re into lot of preparations. Don’t worry if you lose in your first attempts, that’s normal before you can make successive profits in trading.
2993  Economy / Economics / Re: New COVID strain may affect crypto valuation on: December 03, 2021, 08:04:57 AM
Today three cases of the new Covid have been detected in my country I believe this is just the beginning cos it looks like we are going into another lockdown very soon in 2022
In my country, the cases of new covid are also found but our society isn't too panicked as before. Even some people predicted these cases will end soon in January 2022. These people believe the cases are just made to make people stay at home during the new year. If the news of new covid already spread out a whole country, people won't be brave to move everywhere. If we consider these people's opinions, maybe lockdown only happen in December 2021 and January 2022.

crypto will crash again cos many will take profits to get set for the lockdown
Crypto crash only happens temporarily. We must realize that crypto market is growing fast during the pandemic. So, Covid won't impact so much for the long term on crypto market. People may sell their coins now, but won't sell all. They know if crypto market will continue improving. So, don't be so worried!

The crypto market has survived from the previous variant of covid, so we may expect that things will not become worst for crypto this time. In fact, this might even cause for the market to surge high again since a lot of people will be staying at home so they will have more time searching jobs or any resources that will provide an income. So there’s no need to panic and decide to sell most of the coins as we all know that this correction phase has temporarily made the market dump, and eventually the coins will recover in time. This new covid variant may be a big threat for the economy of a country but most likely, it will not threaten the crypto market.
2994  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The altcoin market has become scammer's playground on: December 03, 2021, 06:28:29 AM
Completely agree.

The gold rush has really gotten out of hand and there are a ton of fraudsters that are just capitalizing on this opportunity.

There is really no excuse for people to be investing in these coins. You are not just risking your own capital, but encouraging this type of behaviour from scammers.
Unfortunately most people do not care, they care about one thing and one thing only and that is the profits they can get, and this means that for people like that a project is as good and legitimate as the profits they get, so if they lose money the coin was a scam, which is why we have so many people claiming bitcoin is a scam, and if they earn money then it is a legitimate project, they do not understand that even if they earn money that money came from other people that were scammed and they were just lucky to avoid the same fate, and if they keep doing this then sooner or later they will be scammed as well.
It’s the usual strategy of scam projects that will give you good amount of profits at first, but later on, once you have put more funds on the project, then the team behind the project suddenly gone out in the market and bring all your funds. That’s when you realized you have been scammed. I think this is very common in altcoin market as this has become the very own playground of most of the scammers. So if you want to risk investing in altcoins, be careful in choosing out from thousands of projects as only few of them are legit and the rest are just scams. If you want to play it safe, better invest in main and solid altcoins as they are proven legit and reputable.
2995  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin makes new ATH. More ATHs to come shortly. on: December 02, 2021, 10:48:39 PM
But also the effects of the new covid-19 strain which really put a dent to all financial markets around the world. Maybe the critics of S2F modelling are now mocking it because we are far from it's prediction of 6 digits at the end of the year, maybe because it didn't take into account this kind of events (mt. Gox and then Omicron strain). But it is what is it, bitcoin is very volatile but it's good if we are going to end around $60k-$70k at least.

Nobody knew the unexpected events such as Omicron coming back in our lives as a new variant, while vastly making it impossible for everybody to go out and freely do what they want to do, and this will also let the markets fall once again after omicron gets detected all over the company.
With the arrival of Omicron, it will be expected that most of the economies will be down due to temporary closures of non essential big and small establishments. With this, countries will be unproductive again. And crypto market is not an exception either. I think the present correction will last until Omicron will set in. But as expected, crypto will definitely recover and bitcoin will continue to reach its new heights again. And we will be expecting again that before 2021 ends, we will finally see a bull run before the crypto changes its cycle for another bear season and maybe it will happen early next year.
2996  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as Education Insurance on: December 02, 2021, 07:55:58 PM
Previously there was a proposal accept bitcoin for give salary to workers. It's now in education It won't bad. If everyone knows bitcoin from their study life it will be great. Even I think it there's should be a chapter for btc history
Well, for me there's no such bad idea on having bitcoin as a reward. After all, the future will really lead us into bitcoin as we are moving into a digital version. Although it might be quite unique to think for students to have bitcoin as an educational insurance, but i know in the later part, they will start to acknowledge its advantage. Maybe it might take time for the young individuals to understand bitcoin , but once they will come to understand it, they might be overwhelm knowing how valuable a single bitcoin can be.

Will the Blackwater would improve next conference?

This is a good news though. Amer-Casio pair impresses as Blackwater beats Meralco in tune-up... however it's just a tune up game, hopefully they'll do that in the actual game as last season they are winless IIRC.

Not sure they will but hopefully they will improve because they have an import already and Casio is a big help due to his experience. Blackwater and Terraferma are the worst teams in the PBA, so what can we expect from them anyway?
2998  Other / Off-topic / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs. Ilunga Makabu on: December 02, 2021, 01:26:37 PM
WBC is giving all the advantage to Canelo, Lol. Makabu vs Mchunu first then they fight each and soften each other for Canelo. And then they will just have 4 months to prepare for Canelo.

And then Canelo can watch how both of them fight and win he see who is the winner, he already has a good strategy in his mind in advance. So I'm seeing Canelo going to win whoever he is going to fight next.

That's expected lol. WBC is Mexico-based and its president, Mauricio Sulaiman is Mexican as well so what can we expect hehe.

Yeah, Canelo always has the luxury of choosing whom to fight and everybody else just wanting to win that Canelo sweepstakes, that would be their very paycheck once Canelo chooses them.

But I like the chance of Makabu here once he disposes of Mchunu because of his size advantage. He may not have that lateral movement but at least he has the puncher's chance.

That's is his advantage, is punching power because he is the bigger guy, but Canelo has been in many battles and he has a tough chin and strong body, so he will surely survive and win this fight. I'm so sure but I'm still open of a possibility of upset as Canelo is so hype now that fans think he is almost unbeatable.

Regarding the Lakers, honestly I don't know what's going on, LeBron, AD, Westbrook, DeAndre Jordan, Melo and others players, with this roster, LAL was supposed to be "a monster" and all the other teams were afraid to play against them. But unfortunately I don't see it, I don't see so much chemistry or introverted with players.
In my humble opinion, I believe LJ could stand out more, AD I also think his performance is underwhelming and a player I thought could be a key player for the Lakers, Deandre Jordan, I realize he's not. having that old-time performance!

It's a badly put together group of aging all-stars, that's why.

Maybe 5 years ago if you assembled the same team it would be considered a super-team, but pretty much everyone involved (apart from AD) are way past their primes.
That would not happen 5 years ago as Lebron could not afford the players who are still at their prime.
It's their first season together, lots of changes in the team so we should understand the struggle, besides, the season is still ongoing, it's still early so they can still continue working to do the right blend. Just be optimistic, they'll figure it out eventually, believe me.

If you need Carmelo to be carrying your team when LBJ is away... You're in deep trouble.
Why would you need Carmelo if the team has Westbrook who is an All-Star and previously won an MVP and a Triple double machine?
3000  Other / Off-topic / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs. Ilunga Makabu on: November 29, 2021, 09:16:31 PM

And the good thing with Canelo is he is not a trash talker. Based from the photos, it seems Alvarez & Makabu are good friends, unlike the recent Lopez vs Kambosos fight, which ended up as an upset, and the thing was, Lopez was confident that he will win on this fight. But with this match, Canelo seems confident to move up so it means, he can do this fight. He has the discipline of a boxer, so let's watch this upcoming fight. Waiting for the odds from sportsbooks...

Canelo always does the right discipline in the ring, if his opponent does not trash-talk him, then nothing would happen, besides, he doesn't need to throw some trash talk to sell his fight as everyone knows him, especially that he recently made history becoming an undisputed champion on his division, and now trying to go up in weight to face a new challenge. There's nothing to criticize a boxer who likes to keep on new challenges, and that is Canelo which is a good example for boxers who like to be successful in their career.
