yeah what purpose have to gamble if you were rich? having fun ? you can have fun with anything else when you have a lot of money. of course besides gambling We people need some fun, but rich people does not want a regular fun, I admit that me myself experience an extraordinary fun while gambling which is really different from other things. Title of this thread is quite confusing for me, why anybody will play to just for lost their hard earned and it depends how much bankroll that have for gambling, i always going with bet around $1-$2 and don't use martingale there so that i can lose amount like that.

We may watch some rich people gambling when they are depressed but if they are in the brink of a bankrupt or they will get bigtime, there first choice would not be gambling. We are talking here of extremely rich people, if this rich people is greedy then he would invest to another business to be more richer, for me their is no sense of being the richest if you cannot enjoy your wealth.
