2981  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin kwoledge is not complete without bitcoin investment on: October 24, 2023, 07:16:22 AM
Knowledge is key to all that we do and this is very important before you set out for anything and investment also is very important and Bitcoin being a volatile asset you need all the knowledge that you can get before putting down your money on it,  so as not to buy in at the wrong time,  and also how long you must be willing to hold your Bitcoin,  but the best possible means to staying safe is to invest in bitcoin for a long time and within that time,  get engage in bitcoin-related discussions to share knowledge with others that have similar internet to yours.

knowing a lot of things and knowing even more! It's what people do when they're dealing with unstable things like Bitcoin. You hit the nail on the head: jumping in without enough knowledge is like playing a high-stakes gaming game without knowing the rules. To be honest, nobody would do that. If you know about the Bitcoin market, you can protect yourself from its volatility. Deep dive, do study, participate, talk, and repeat!

So since Oos said he has the luxury of time to keep his own rent money for a space of up to six months then it means if he has the right knowledge and applies it to his situation he should be able to operate a stress-freBitcoinin journey that will lead him to a more prosperous future as the case may be.
He's in a good spot because he has time on his side. But time wasted on things you don't know is just wasted opportunity. A bright future is not only possible for him, but almost certain if he really gains understanding and uses it wisely. The rules of the game are easy: learn, use, and repeat. But if you don't take it seriously, it's just old paper, even a treasure plan.
2982  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which is the best crypto exchange for P2P transactions ? on: October 24, 2023, 06:54:09 AM
Most will say binance as it has the largest user base and can generate massive volumes. This is a valid point but if you have any local exchange or service provider that offers P2P services and can provide the service you require, then you should use it. Sometimes these experiences provide extra benefits but always look for customer reviews from different sources. If they have good customer service go for it.
In fact, most people shout "Binance" from the heavens because it has so many users and so much volume. But isnt Binance still a controlled exchange that acts as a go-between? Put everything in one place, everywhere. There are highs and lows, and its kind of like a fun gambling site, where everyone bets on how trustworthy a central entity is. Your point about local P2P services is valid; there is an unspoken appeal to being able to connect with your trade partner directly, cutting out the middle man.

Of course, each site has good and bad points. As you correctly said, customer reviews are the key. Before you act, look, look, and look some more from different angles. Great customer service is great, but so is making sure the platform is honest. When you're making such important choices, make sure you dont just skim the top.
2983  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am 19 years old boy living in South korea. Please give me an advice on: October 24, 2023, 06:30:47 AM
it's never too late to invest in bitcoin, whenever you want you can invest in bitcoin with your money. but before that you should learn more about investing in bitcoin. there are many sources that you can study before actually diving into this investment. but because you are still under the care of your parents, the money you use may be intended for your needs, not investment, so my advice is that you can invest with small capital first and always understand the risks. good luck on your bitcoin investment journey.
Not too late yes but I won't say never as there will be a time when BTC will become so valuable and many people will find it hard to release their BTCs anymore. So he should invest now, not whenever he wants. Don't worry, BTC is safe so learning can also come after it. And he is already on the right place.

There is no need to look further because I'm afraid he can end up on a wrong website that only teaches about lies. I don't think his parents won't give him that amount if it was intended for something important. I'm sure you also receive money from your parents that you are free to spend. It can be like that. I like the attitude of the OP because he plans his future ahead instead of wasting the money on useless stuffs.
Absolutely, absolutely right on the value of BTC potentially skyrocketing in the future. Every tick of the clock is an opportunity missed. Why wait for tomorrow when today is staring right at you, demanding action? The time to act, to invest, is now. Not tomorrow, not someday, but now. Period.

I commend the OP's foresight, truly. Planning for the future in such a meticulous way, especially in a world where fleeting pleasures rule, is rare, so rare. The world's littered with misleading sites spewing deceit. But, remember, not every advice out there is golden. Sticking to reputable forums, standing guard against falsehoods, is paramount. And as for receiving money from parents, who among us hasnt? Its how one uses it that defines them.
2984  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you prepare for a Bitcoin bull run? on: October 24, 2023, 06:09:29 AM
Taking about getting ready for the next bull run, this has been said repeatedly. Those who aren't keeping Bitcoin/altcoins by the side will have themselves to blame when the rally begins properly.
Such people have been in every bull run. Those who do not take Bitcoin seriously from the point of view of investment and later regret that we have missed the investment opportunity in Bitcoin Moreover, the movements of Bitcoin are moving according to the bull standard. In the current scenario, the way Bitcoin is moving sideways, it looks like an exact initial bull run rally. Myself and others besides me and the members also believe that bull run is mandatory after Bitcoin halving, but it should not be taken as financial advice just for educational purposes. A bull run theory after Bitcoin halving It is speculation; everyone can have their own opinion about whether there will be a bull run or not. There is no obligation that there will definitely be a bull run, or maybe not a bull run. No, and it is further said that the future cannot be predicted by looking at past history. Everyone should have an investment view according to their own research and shouldn't consider any educational opposition as personal financial advice. Invest by doing your own research because crypto is a high-volatility investment. Be aware.
We see them again and again. People who write off Bitcoin may eventually regret their missed opportunities. Furthermore, keep in mind that Bitcoin is entirely speculative, even though its current trajectory does resemble the start of a bull run. Not a bit more or less. Yes, there are many who adamantly support the notion that a Bitcoin halving will lead to a bull run, but isnt that also simply conjecture?

Although history can teach us valuable lessons, it cannot provide a guarantee for the future. Lets be clear: these conversations and conjectures are, at most, instructive. Not guidance on finances. Thus, if you're considering entering the cryptocurrency space, proceed cautiously. Recall that the world of cryptocurrency, with its erratic fluctuations, is not for the timid. It requires deference, prudence, and most importantly, careful investigation.
2985  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin gift to wife. on: October 24, 2023, 05:47:06 AM
~snip~

I agree with your point of view on this. For an important day like a wedding day or a date, we should give meaningful gifts that are appropriate to the situation, and should not give unrelated things. In OP's case, if his wife knows and is passionate about bitcoin, he can gift bitcoin to her at any time. Giving her bitcoin on her wedding day might make her happy because she understands what it is, but what about the people around her? They don't know anything about bitcoin and came to congratulate the wedding, share the joy with the bride and groom, but they don't understand what's going on, which will make the party no longer interesting.

At the end of the day, it's all about money, bitcoin or gold or any gift is money, but we need to give gifts that suit the situation and context rather than just doing what we want.
Presents should, in fact, capture the spirit of the occasion. Indeed, a bitcoin enthusiast would find this to be a wonderful present on an ordinary day. But we must remember who our audience is. A wedding is about more than simply the couple—its about the guests celebrating with them. Giving bitcoin now? Thats a contemporary decision, but its important to make sure it doesnt dominate the main feelings of the event.

Whether its bitcoin, gold, or any other tangible gift, money is at the center of it all. The sentiment, the feeling behind the present, ought to be the main goal. Indeed, there is a place and a time for everything. Our judgments need to be made with consideration, not only based on trends or personal preferences.
2986  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can change lives on: October 24, 2023, 05:24:12 AM
It is easy to be involved in something when the conditions are already so developed. But it is difficult when everything is just beginning.
When we were just infants, no one had a clue about what Bitcoin would become. It took us a considerably longer time to truly grasp Bitcoin's potential. I believe those who adopted BTC early on when its price was below $1 were individuals who valued Nakamoto's vision back then. They wanted to support the project Nakamoto was developing by holding some BTC, without any expectations of it becoming as valuable as it is today. Because, back in the day, Bitcoin was envisioned as a peer-to-peer currency, not an investment instrument.

We won't witness price surges as outrageous as in the past, as everyone now recognizes that Bitcoin is primarily used as an investment vehicle. For those still contemplating making Bitcoin a life-changing factor, perhaps you should exercise a bit more patience because Bitcoin has now entered its adolescent phase. It's well-known and increasingly adopted by a significant portion of society.

And no one knows what we will be like when we grow up, of course it is a future that is very difficult to predict, but if both parents always instill the best lessons in us since infancy then it can help them to predict that when we grow up we will be good children and make both parents proud, this is a logic that makes as much sense as bitcoin. When bitcoin has just appeared, no one will know how big bitcoin will be in the future because it is difficult to fully predict, but by always finding out about the clarity and potential of bitcoin, maybe at least we will be able to know or get an idea about bitcoin in the future. Of course we need time that may be long enough to be able to know all the potential and opportunities in bitcoin, and I say it is one of the processes before you can finally achieve success there. Lucky enough for anyone who has followed and adopted bitcoin from the first time it appeared, even though they did not fully know what bitcoin would be like in the future but they appreciated the project that was just built and in return they are now millionaires.

That makes sense buddy, it looks like there really won't be a significant surge like what happened a few years ago, none other than because as you said, now almost everyone knows what bitcoin is along with its benefits and advantages. Market demand is increasing and the supply of bitcoin is running low, of course in conditions like this we have to be more patient, no longer for the next 3 or 4 years but maybe the next 10 or 15 years we will be able to feel significant benefits.
In the same way that parents plant values in their children and hope that they grow, early Bitcoin users took a risk by jumping into the unknown, not fully understanding what it could do but sensing a chance. A lot of people have benefited from their risk, just like parents who work hard to raise their kids. You need to be patient, smart, and strong to win this game. But, just like in gaming, not every roll wins. As you correctly pointed out, time is what really shows how valuable an investment is, whether its in people or in Bitcoin.

This idea is reflected in what you said next about the current state of Bitcoin. Even though Bitcoin's days of fast growth are over, that doesnt mean its not valuable. When market demand goes up and supply goes down, gamblers need to be patient more than ever. Long-term trends, not short-term highs and lows, are what matter in this high-stakes game. When you play for short-term gains, its like chasing shadows in a dark theater.
2987  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it better to invest or trade Bitcoin? on: October 24, 2023, 05:01:58 AM
From the beginning of Bitcoin birth, long term holders have always be the most profitable of them all and it's also more safer, no risk in holding Bitcoin than to risk of possible lost of asset through carelessness or silly mistakes.

Since you are new, read more about Bitcoin and know the best wallets to use for storing Bitcoin for long term and start trading if you like, but know that trading is very risky, you can lose money in trading easily that's why you need to reshape your skills in time.

You lose money invest in Bitcoin only if you sell at a lower price, Bitcoin is more like Gold and that's why you can keep holding for years to come, as you can see even Black Rock and other big giants in the financial worlds are going Big into crypto space, they won't come near if Bitcoin is trash.
Listen, you've hit on some undeniably sharp truths about Bitcoin and its long-term potential. Long-term holders? They've historically always come out on top. Its a game of patience, and its astonishing how many people forget that. But then, theres this whirlwind of temptation with trading. You're right; trading can be like gambling - exhilarating when you win, crushing when you dont. Its not just about luck; its about meticulous strategy, and thats where many fall short.

For newbies, your advice is golden (or should I say, "Bitcoin"?). Delve deep into the crypto world. Understand it, respect it. Bitcoin isnt just some digital fad; its a revolution. When heavyweights like Black Rock throw their hat into the crypto ring, its not for kicks and giggles. They see potential, just as you do. But, and heres the kicker, potential is only realized by those willing to learn and be patient.
2988  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blackrock ETF/Bitcoin will destroy the (new) cryptocurrency industry soon... on: October 24, 2023, 04:38:46 AM
The crypto community has long debated whether Bitcoin's merger with mainstream institutions will hurt altcoins. The idea is that significant financial players adopting Bitcoin would distract from altcoins. However, with wider exposure to Bitcoin, would the market realize the promise of other cryptocurrencies? After all, rising tides raise all boats.

I understand the concern of "shitcoins" being worthless, especially in unpredictable markets. Crypto's primary point is to upset banking systems, right? Shouldnt we anticipate newer, better cryptocurrencies to evolve like Bitcoin? Your call to action is strong, but investors should always carefully consider their options. Panicked decisions never work. Continue researching and asking.
2989  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Advice to friend for financial improvement. on: October 24, 2023, 04:15:56 AM
Those who are financially well off usually think of buying an iPhone. For some people iPhone is a hobby but they cannot afford it due to financial constraints. Since your friend planned to buy the iPhone Fifteen Pro Max, we can assume that your friend is financially well off. If your friend was not financially sound then he would have never planned to buy iphone but he would have used the same money to buy a brand new iPhone and he would have done some other business plan. Still if you claim that your friend is not financially well off and is only planning to buy an iPhone for his hobby then I tell you if you give him investment advice now he will never listen to your advice. He has accumulated money and surely with that money he will fulfill all his needs. Still, since you said the words for his good, your initiative is undoubtedly admirable.
Sometimes it is difficult to be able to advise people even close to us. Even if it's a friend. Because sometimes someone is motivated to collect money to buy the things they dream of and it will be difficult to stop. Because from the start they already had a goal of owning this valuable item. But if someone doesn't plan it from the start. like they collect money not for a specific purpose, it is still possible for us to advise them to think more about allocating the money to things that can build a better future. For example, by investing in Bitcoin. And when this topic was created by the OP. At that time the price of Bitcoin had not risen as much as it does now. And if at that time his friend invested his money in Bitcoin then surely right now OP's friend is smiling happily seeing the profits he has from his investment.
A lot of people are fixated on status symbols like the iPhone, especially the 15 Pro Max. This is definitely a sign that they are financially stable. You say its a hobby for some; I say its a trophy for many. Still, who can blame someone for wanting to indulge? After all, its their hard-earned cash. But this is where things get tricky: spending vs. saving. You're right when you talk about Bitcoin. Do you remember when Bitcoin was just a name? Now, its the name.

But it's not easy to give someone, especially a close friend, advice about their money decisions. If you step on it, the ice could break at any time. You see Bitcoin's promise, and it's true that its rise has been huge. But dreams and wants can make it hard to make decisions. If only OP's friend had known how smart it was to invest back then! Still, arent we all slaves to our wants? The appeal of a brand-new tool can sometimes overpower the chance to make things better in the long run.
2990  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If someone holds 1 bitcoin in 2023, can he call himself rich ? on: October 24, 2023, 03:53:10 AM
If someone holds 1 bitcoin in 2023, can he call himself rich ? If not, how many bitcoins holding is equal to being rich in your opinion ?
The term "RICH" is a very broad term.
A person in the street can claim that he's rich. I can also claim that I'm rich. A businessman who is successful can call himself rich. Anybody can say that they're rich. Like I said, the term "RICH" isn't only used in money, but in other concept of life as well.

Now to answer your question if having 1 Bitcoin this 2023 can make him be called as a "RICH" person, yes. I can call myself rich if I have 1 Bitcoin. It all depends on the person who are holding it. If you let Warren Buffet hold 1 Bitcoin, of course that will not make him say that he's rich because even though he don't have 1 Bitcoin, he's rich already. On the other hand, if an Average Joe, or how should I classify myself, maybe a middle income earner like me has 1 Bitcoin, of course I can call myself rich already knowing that our yearly income if being paid at a minimum wage is around $2,650. 1 Bitcoin is worth ~10 years of working time or even more.

Overall, being called as rich doesn't define by how much Bitcoins you have, but to answer your final question, for me I guess having at least 5-10 Bitcoin can make me rich, but TBH, I can call myself rich already even though I only have 1 Bitcoin or even lower. Smiley
What you say about the word "RICH" is interesting. What each person thinks of as "rich" is very relative and unique, right? If you say that having one Bitcoin in 2023 makes someone rich, thats a very narrow view. We shouldnt hold Warren Buffet and the average Joe to the same level of wealth. This is about more than just that, though. If how rich something is just depends on your point of view, then the value we give to things like Bitcoin is also subjective.

Lets get to the heart of the matter more. If exactly one Bitcoin is worth ten years of work for a minimum wage worker, then getting that one Bitcoin is like getting ten years of their time back. In a lot of ways, time is more important than money or cryptocurrency. Still, you say that 5–10 Bitcoin can make you feel rich. That tells me you're not just after a number; you want the security, freedom, and power that come with having that much value. Not the Bitcoin itself, but the life it stands for.
2991  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do your parents know about your gambling habit ? on: October 23, 2023, 02:38:50 PM
I think this question is best for people underage that are still living with their parents, I don't get why anyone should involve their parents in their gambling activities, if you are a grown man why would you do such? Even youths that are still going to school and are been feed by their parents still keeps their gambling activities a secret from their patents, to me it makes no sense to do this.

If you are been feed by someone and you go and tell them about your gambling activities they will start having a second thought about you, the way old people reasons is different from the way we reason today, they can detect dangers from afar, and you telling them will give them doubts that you are not serious with your education.

I know that some parent and child relationship are so strong that whatever is going on won't be a secret but this is one home out of thousands, maybe if the parents are rich it will be easier for them to over look gambling activities of their child, but if your parents are struggling to send you to school you have added more pain to their struggle by telling them that you are gambling, they will never be happy with your decision.
Why on Earth would an adult, standing on their own two feet, bring their parents into their gambling world? If someone is old enough to make decisions, they should be wise enough to understand consequences. Involving parents, especially if theres a dependence on them, is playing with fire. Old folks have their own wisdom, seeing perils that younger minds might miss. Think about it; wont telling them you're gambling while they're breaking their backs for your education just add salt to their wounds?

Look, I get that there are close-knit families out there where secrets just dont exist. But, and lets be real here, thats rare. Its a luxury few have. If you're in a family that's struggling, throwing in gambling into the mix is like poking a sleeping lion. Its not just about money; its about trust, priorities, and life choices. Ignoring this reality is nothing but self-deception.
2992  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you gamble because you don't have sufficient money? on: October 23, 2023, 02:17:12 PM

I have never thought or taken gambling to be a source of income before and that is because i have a good understanding of what gambling is and how to approach it at all time, and if need be i will only play just to have fun and that is the reason I mostly gamble on few games and not involve in games that does not give me the excitements i desire at some point and at that I have a way of checking my gambling activities such as having a stipulated time to gamble and also not have so many deposits when I am on a losing trends
This mechanism has helped me a lot in terms of avoidance of troubles while gambling and also to spend less of both time and money in general.

The way of considering the gambling as the source of the income was not the correct opinion. Many people consider the same like you and start the gambling, but later only they understand the factor the gambling for the entertainment. The gambler most of the time confuse with the gambling and the trading of the cryptocurrency. If you like the certain game,it’s better to play such game and in the repeated way.So you can understand the gambling game, then it’s easy to understand the gambling. You should analysis by self about your game with the certain period of time and understand the exact mistake made by you and correct it.
Its crazy how many people jump right into gambling thinking it will bring in steady money. And yes, many people do find it hard to understand the differences between gambling and buying cryptocurrencies. I think people need to understand that trade may be based on research and guesswork, but gambling is mostly a game of luck.

However, if someone really loves a game, they have to keep playing it over and over, as you said. Repeating something over and over again can help you understand it better, which can mean the difference between blasé gambling and smart choices. Self-reflection is very important, especially when you're gambling. In order to be a good player, you should always be looking at your moves, finding mistakes, and fixing them.
2993  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cross addictions is Just as Bad. on: October 23, 2023, 01:55:06 PM
Ever heard of cross addiction or suffered from it?
What do you think?
- I think it's not unusual in this day and age because there are so many forms of entertainment that can lead to addiction. When we try to break a habit or addiction, we often seek out something else to occupy the time we used to spend on our previous addiction, thinking it will help us forget about it. But it's a bit like a cycle - we move from one habit to another. Unfortunately, these new habits often have some connection to the old addiction.
- This could be termed as a cross-addiction, as you mentioned, or a cycle of addiction. Only a few people have the courage to adopt a new, healthy habit or addiction, like getting addicted to sports, for instance. However, that group is quite small because, like sports, it isn't always easy to start with.

Agree with this.
We often tell a person who is an addict that the best way to combat addiction is to to find other activities that he/she is interested into as a form of distraction.
In my opinion, cross addiction will be a bad thing if the habit we replace to our previous habit is just as equivalent as what we have replaced. For example, if someone is addicted to gambling, then his replacement would be drinking alcohol and smoking cigarettes. Then we can say that this is a complete cycle of addiction because this is just as harmful as being a gambling addict because it's still harmful for him especially for his health. But is it possible that cross addiction can be a good thing? For instance, a gambling addict seeks out an alternative way of coping with his addiction by playing computer or mobile games. Yes, we can say that there is still an addiction but it is less harmful for him because it does not involve any amount of money.
Doesnt matter if its some another addiction came from another addiction, the importance on here is that you do make out such step or action just to make things more lesser when it comes to finance
expenses and at the same time you are really that lessening the risks on messing up with your entire financial condition which we know that gambling could possibly give.
So i would say that it wont really be that much a wrong thing about doing those side addiction or whatever been called as cross addiction as long you do see that it is really just that a better
choice or alternative then do it.Basing up on the situation on having that video game addiction which causes for you to spend $20 for a month which is way far more better than on
spending hundreds in a month. You wont really be that so dumb on not to see the main differences.

It is really just that there are really people who are really that always not like the word addiction but if you do see this as your choice then go with it.
But honestly we could really be able to resolve things without needing to touch for some another problem but if you do see this as your option and temporal
then its not a bad consideration of things.
Sure, if one drug costs less than the other, it makes sense to pick that one. Isnt that too simple, though? Doesnt that only scratch the top of a bigger, more complicated problem? Problems arise when people become addicted to things, like computer games or gambling. Its not always just money that costs something. What about the hours lost, the stressful situations, and the mental stress?

Critics laugh at the word "addiction." They look down upon it and are prejudiced against it. Its your choice if you think of your road as a choice. But lets be factual. Picking a cheaper vice isnt the only thing that matters. It has to do with looking at the bigger picture and how it affects your life as a whole. Whats the point of choosing the less bad option? Why not try to live a life free of any addictions?
2994  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Before you take sides on: October 23, 2023, 01:32:16 PM
This whole situation is aggravated by the fact that we are in the world of cryptocurrencies, and this world is inextricably linked with anonymity. We have already seen a lot of scam: profiles of non-real people on the web, which were created in order for everything to be put there in their projects, and then they disappeared. Unfortunately, this is the dark side of freedom in the world of cryptocurrencies.
Therefore, I prefer not to believe everything I read, both here on the forum, and especially in the news of influencers.

Casinos who have gone scam have been scam from the beginning, they got caught eventually and then the sufferers are the ones who were playing on it. Thing is that you should stick to well-repuated and old casinos before jumping into new ones. With so many of them coming up who is going to certify something as genuine or not? The forum cryptographers who are tech-savvy and are well versed with provably fair systems can help you decide in this regard.

Genuine casinos will ban users who try to exploit or cheat the system. There is nothing wrong in this and all such cases the casino gets public support.

The news of influencers should never be taken at face value, heck anything that you see or hear should be questioned and observed before accepting.

You told the harsh truth there. Casinos that have lied to you? They've probably been sketchy from the start. Its like a time bomb thats just waiting for the right moment to go off. Now you said to stick to casinos with good names, and I totally agree. Its hard to find your way around with all these new casinos opening all the time. And who is our safety net in this mess? They are the tech-savvy cryptographers. But isnt it a bit of a problem to depend so much on a small group of people?

Whats the point of real casinos not letting exploiters in? Right on! They're just making sure that their method stays safe. Thats right, the web of social media is full of leaders! Always question things and never completely trust them. Like a game that never ends, every move needs to be carefully thought out. After all, being able to tell the difference becomes important in a world full of noise.
2995  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you leave gambling if your future wife/husband tells you to do this ? on: October 23, 2023, 01:09:04 PM
`

Yes because its easy to answer that if you are not addicted since you can easily quiet without any hesitation, unlike if you are really in worst situation where you can beat all the odds just to gamble for sure quitting is really a big problem since you would provably not listen to any advice given to you since what you always think is to gamble. We are surely get affected in all aspect with that condition including the relationship to our love ones since denial stage might come up and we always think about we are fine and they should not worry about on what we are doing. At this stage I think we need professional help since for sure a addicted person cannot cut off easily his activity even if her wife ask him to leave gambling and by the help of professionals he can be totally get aided then understand that what he is doing is totally excessive and destructive to any person near him.
People on the outside might think its just about quitting cold turkey, but its never that simple, is it? The mind of someone who's addicted isnt thinking logically. To them, gambling is oxygen, and advice becomes mere background noise. The saddest part? The denial. Oh, the denial! They're wrapped up in this bubble thinking everything's okay, but its not. Its really not.

However, its not just the personal cost; relationships deteriorate, trust vanishes. Its like a domino effect! And you nailed it: professional help becomes vital. This isnt just about willpower; its a systematic restructuring of one's psyche. Addiction blinds you, but with the right guidance, one might see the light. Professionals can tear down that wall of denial and help them see the real cost of their actions. Its not easy, but its necessary.
2996  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never gamble in front of your kids. on: October 23, 2023, 12:47:14 PM
I'm tempted to ask what our response will be when we are gambling and our kinds come to ask what we are doing.  Do we lie to them or tell them the truth. At a certain age children become so inquisitive that they ask questions virtually in everything they see us do.
Tell half the truth. Daddy is playing. That's it. It's just a game. Don't tell them you are putting money into your game because that will change the definition of it. Kids today do understand how game works and casino games just look like games in their eyes too. If they find it boring they would not even ask the same question again.
But, it's still better if they won't see us doing it. I am playing in the living room but I do try to hide it as always or just keep the kids busy first whether it's watching television or their busy with their smartphones.
Because there's a chance they will bump into the same game you are playing in some advertisements and you won't like explaining things to a kid because their questions are unstoppable and we cannot just shut them up or else they will pursue to find whatever game we are playing.
The other way to prevent them from gambling is to not let them handle money. I give my firstborn money that is just enough in case something really bad happens like he forgot his food or he gets so thirsty in school. But that never happened yet and he is saving all the money I gave in his piggy bank.

Or just keep kids busy with something else, and they wont be so much interesting in sitting with adults and watching them play. There are few ways adults gamble - using gadgets, then you are so much against kids watching, just swipe app or alt+tab the page. If you gamble IRL, lets say around the table, then invite other gamblers that have kids also. Kids will be busy for whole evening and wont even come to table to look what you are doing.
When you are using up or playing on mobile then you could really easy minimize if ever your children would really be tending to look at on what you have doing or even not, just still that ideal that as much as possible you should really be that avoiding on letting them see that you are into gambling.Just like on what others been saying that whatever things you've been doing will really be that always right and correct into their eyes on which means that if they do able to see that you are really that indeed engaging with gambling then they would likely to be doing the same just because they have
seen it that their parents is doing it.On the time that addiction shackles in, then it would really be that already hard to overcome and as a parent you would really be noticing out if ever they
would really be that always in need of funds or something to those payments which you dont know if its real or not.

Never ever consider yourself on playing gambling in front of them as much as possible if you dont really like some problems because letting them getting involved
with gambling is never been that good honestly.
The ease with which kids can copy our habits, even ones we might not want them to follow, is very scary. With their simple interfaces, mobile gadgets make this problem even worse. They're aware, always looking and learning, so switching screens or minimizing apps isnt enough. A dangerous myth is that if a parent does something, the child will automatically think its okay. That's not a joke. The change from occasional involvement to addiction can happen quickly and without anyone noticing.

Even worse is when the kids start to show signs of addiction, like always wanting money, keeping things to themselves, and changing how they act. Parents have a big responsibility to be careful. Kids' futures can be changed by something they do for fun. Is the risk worth it? As parents, you have a huge duty. It has a deeper and more lasting effect on them than you might think when you expose them to gambling. Setting limits is not only a good idea, its necessary.
2997  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Changed the game you gamble on? share your story. on: October 23, 2023, 12:25:48 PM
I have been playing dice since 2015 and have tried several games to see if my luck will be there and probably stay on that, but my luck in other games is even worse compared to dice. That's why I keep on coming back. Also, I have experienced winning decently before in dice, so I'll just persist until I win a significant amount again.
I also started gambling with dice games but to be honest it was a bit boring when I experienced a losing streak when using the martingale strategy technique and that caused me to change to trying other games such as Limbo and Crash, actually there are lots of fun casino games besides dice and you might want to try them. occasionally so you can get other luck in the game, but it all comes back to you, the point is don't focus too much on one game

At least you have the opportunity to get lucky in other games, I know that you may find dice games more fun because you can use strategy and don't rely on luck, unlike slot games which many gamblers have played recently, you have a strong commitment to playing that dice game so you still want to go back to playing that game, but my advice is to try other games that might also please you, there's no harm in trying.  Grin
Starting with dice games is a popular way to get into the hobby, but sticking with one game over and over again can get old. For example, the martingale approach seems easy at first, but for many people it turns out to be unsafe. What is the minimum number of losses one must experience before spreading out? Many other games are available, such as Limbo and Crash, each with its own rules and tactics. Why put limits on oneself?

I can see why strategy can be appealing when playing dice, but its a mistake to think that strategy means definitely winning. Meanwhile, slot games have recently become very popular, even though they are very random. Why? As a result, they provide a special thrill. If you love dice games, try venturing out of your comfort zone every once in a while. You might be surprised. As the saying goes, life is all about trying new things and enjoying different tastes.
2998  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reckless gambling starts after a win round. on: October 23, 2023, 12:03:01 PM

Yes, agreed, I totally understand what you are saying so far and I have to agree with you and your suggestions. From my little experience I would say that if one hasn't tasted a dime of anything, then that person can not like to have that same thing again, we have to taste it before we can conclude on how to go about it.

Like in gambling, if there is no win, there are also no addictions, because what makes people more addicted to gambling is the some of the gains they get from gambling, but if there are no winnings in gambling then there will also be low gambling addictions, however, first time gamblers can not be easily addicted to gamble because they haven't experienced big wins but if incase they starts experiencing winnings the addictions and love for gambling will start.

That makes sense to me, and I don't think whether they've tasted victory or not will make them not curious, and also of course when other people or even their own friends manage to get victory but they don't at all then they will be more curious and also I'm sure they will assume "if others can then surely I can too", that's a real statement that will come out of their minds, and also even if it turns out that they can get the victory then as we know if they haven't managed to get the victory then they will continue to be curious and also if they get the victory then they will be addicted and that's addiction.

As you said friend, if there is no win in gambling then maybe most of them will not be addicted and continue to chase the win there. It's all about the opportunities that exist in gambling that make them always chase that victory, the problem is that they overestimate the opportunity, even though there is absolutely no guarantee of anything to be able to achieve it, but a lot of encouragement or other things that can continue to like encourage them, such as other people's wins that are much bigger, and they will follow that person's way. So the point is that this gambling will never end unless you think about stopping.
Without a doubt, gambling has a very complex mind. People are always curious, aggressive, and think, "If other people can do it, so can I." Beyond the thrill of winning, theres also the chance that the next move could be the prize. It goes in cycles, like an echo in a tunnel, always coming back stronger than before. You're right, though; this desire is mostly based on wanting to see other people succeed where one hasnt.

Also, the thrill of winning, even just once, can turn into an unbreakable addiction. At its core, the problem is that people overestimate the odds and dont want to face the harsh truth: gambling is risky. You were right to say that other people's wins have an effect. It works like a chain. One win is highlighted, and many others are drawn to it, thinking they can do the same thing. This never-ending loop ends when a person realizes that trying to get the elusive win is pointless.

Play for fun. If you are not playing for fun, you are doing it wrong. Gambling should be done to entertain yourself only, and always remember that gambling is not a sound financial investment. I have witnessed the horrors of people who blow their kids college funds and life savings on gambling at a Casino. Don't be one of these people. Have a daily or weekly gambling budget and learn which games you like and how to play them so that you can actually have much more fun playing them than just winging any game.
in this always goes the word "easier said than done"

because while the truth is we must just enjoy gambling but the thing is majority of the gamblers are seeking for money when they gamble and not the other way around.
to have fun? yeah it is but do you really handle this?
that you only play to have fun and enjoy?answer it for yourself first.
Gambling just gives us fun if we win - that was the reality. It is pretty simple why we gamble and that is we want to win. This is the primary reason why we are here and making fun is just our secondary reason.

And to say how to become frugal? It was not for gambling, in fact, some of us commit debts/loans just for this. It means that people are spending more money than saving - sometimes our savings are sacrificed as we prioritize our gambling habits. We don't need to be frugal here but just to wise in spending our money and most of all, not to fall into addiction.
For many people, winning is the ultimate goal, isnt it? Fun frequently seems like a byproduct, a tasty addition to the main meal of success. The confusion of winning and enjoyment is the underlying pseudo-problem, and it is located here. Making fun of others might just be the smokescreen or the secondary goal, as you pointed out, with winning being the main goal.

Its ironic how some people disregard prudence when it comes to being frugal in order to experience that fleeting excitement. Being thrifty is hardly the point, is it? The idea is to avoid letting gambling influence one's spending choices. Too many people can relate to stories of debt and depleted savings accounts. While many enter this world in search of adventure and success, knowing one's limits is essential to avoiding financial disaster.

One more point to add: Clear mindset
Having a clear and fresh mind is really important when gambling. It helps us to make better choices and understand the risk. If you are tired or stressed in that moment, your mind may go blank, and you may make quick decision that you regret later. Therefore, it is important to relax and play with fresh mind. A clear head will help you make better decisions and lead to better results.
once i was playing dice in lazy way in stressed condition and made a number mistake and lost m bankroll in a second
That's right, by having a clear mindset, someone who will carry out an activity will seem relaxed, not reckless and the results will not be disappointing, including in gambling, someone who will carry out gambling with a clear mindset, then that person will not be careless in actions or strategies that will be used. He gambles with a calm attitude, not excessively, and is aware that victory or defeat is right before his eyes.
If your mind is confused, tired, then you should stop first, rest your mind by going on holiday with friends or family to return your mind to normal or fine. And this must be done as much as possible, so that the mind is not too stressed if you want to return to gambling again.
A clear mindset in gambling isnt a luxury; its a necessity. Thats the difference between someone playing a game and a strategist studying the field. Every action, every bet, is a culmination of thought processes. But, lets be brutally honest, even with a clear mindset, the house always has its edge. No matter how controlled and calm you are, the unpredictability is always lurking.

You're right, though; when the haze of confusion settles in, when the fatigue blurs the line between reason and recklessness, thats the red flag. Pull back. Take that breather. Whether its a holiday or just simple moments with family and friends, such experiences can recenter you. Its about balance. If you're re-entering the gambling arena, make sure you're equipped not just with strategies but with a mind thats at its peak
