301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Dogecoin have a future? on: July 28, 2017, 10:37:50 AM
As I see from lot of coins in market when I look into past, strong community was and is always enough for altcoin to keep living. Doge has one of the biggest communities in crypto market as I observe so, yes looks like it will have future.

In my opinion dogecoin will only keep going sideways. It does have a very strong and supportive community but there's no one actively working to make it better and more widely spread/used across forums and online platforms (where it could excel). And it's a coin that gets inflated every year by 5billion new coins, so that doesn't help its price either...

But i'd love to see it grow. Its one of my favorite coins...wish somenoe would pick up the project and do great things with it.

303  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Howard Marks Calls Bitcoin "A Pyramid Scheme" on: July 27, 2017, 11:43:37 PM
I don't think he understood the entirety of the point about bitcoin for calling it out like this. And even less about the whole blockchain tech and the numerous coins popping off this tech. If he doesnt keep an open mind to projects like this he'll get left behind quickly in the tech world  Wink
304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would it be wise to ONLY invest into alt coins? on: July 27, 2017, 10:12:36 PM
As with any kind of investment, you have to diversify. Investing in cryptocurrencies ONLY is already very risky... And leaving out the main coin makes it even riskier. My two cents: invest in different coins (including btc and eth, the biggest ones) but also invest some of your money in safer places outside of the crypto world (depends a lot which country you're from)
305  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Cash is better than Bitcoin. on: July 27, 2017, 03:44:18 PM
cash is risk.because we lose cash sometimes.but bitcoin wallet name is coinbase.it is save.

That's a terrible argument I'm pretty sure there are much more bitcoin that gets lost than cash, and coinbase is not he only place to store bitcoin anyway, nor do I think it's even the most popular.
I don’t find any reason of comparing bitcoins with cash. Both have their own features and values. Even if we assume that more bitcoins are lost than cash, then we must also take in consideration that people are enjoying more profit with bitcoins than they had ever with cash. So, my vote is always with bitcoins.

Yup, no point in comparing the two of them, atleast for the time being. Bitcoin is still finding its ways around the global economy and cant substitute cash fully yet (although it might in the future). And cash doesn't have bitcoins growth potential, quite the contrary - the years go by and cash is worth less and less, inflation will never cease to exist while the 'big guys' control everything
306  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many of you are moving all of your btc off coinbase? on: July 27, 2017, 05:06:46 AM
Everyone should be doing it to be completely honest. August 1st might come and pass and nothing happens, but in the odd event that something DOES happen, you'd better be safe and have your coins in your own wallet, not in an exchange. That means you'll get to keep your coins no matter what and also have the forked version of it, and if it ends up being worth something, good for you.
307  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sell your bitcoins while you are still rich on: July 26, 2017, 04:40:10 PM
Indeed exchanges are responsible for 'price discovery' and 'liquidity' if they decide to halt their operations how do we know how much bitcoin price is ?

One pizza for 10.000 bitcoins ?
...

There is no incentive for the exchanges to stop though. They know there is demand, and if they choose to stop, others will hop in and take their place - that's how the market works. Someone is gonna end up providing this service one way or the other... Imagine if stock and forex ceased to exist aswell, it'd turn the whole corporate world upside down... But such a thing will never realistically happen.

309  Other / Off-topic / Re: Job Vs Bitcoin on: July 26, 2017, 03:13:01 AM
In my opinion, it would be awesome to have both random job and deal with BTC in free time. On that way, you would have one fixed salary by normal random job, and one salary that will vary from time to time.

This here seems like the best solution. Take a little bit from both worlds Smiley

311  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to earn Bitcoin without investment on: July 25, 2017, 03:52:08 PM
1. Faucet can give you some btc but you will need a lot of time, patience and you need to pick the right website.
2. Captcha: you can type text captcha and earn it in dollar then buy bitcoin or exchange directly to bitcoin if you want.
3. You can get bitcoin from the money you collect and play it on exchange to get profit while you keep increasing your capital.
Faucet will take your time and in return you won't earn much. Faucets are waste of time.
You won't be able to use collected money to "play it on exchange"  for next year because amount will be too small(you will be able but it will be waste of time too).

If you all of that day by day, you will have pretty good amount of btc to use for anything you want
No, you won't, you won't earn even 50K satoshi per day, and you will find solving captchas for peanuts is not really "doing nothing".

You're totally right. I'd stay away from faucets, they're mostly useless... If you save money instead of going to McDonalds once per month you'll have more btc than someone doing faucets 8h/day for the same period
312  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to explain bitcoin to teenagers or children on: July 25, 2017, 05:44:11 AM
You should tell or introduce slowly to teens or kids with bitcoin like digital money as a tool to buy and sell online, it can also be used as ordinary money used by parents to shop at the store. Perhaps by explaining the theory and practice of bitcoin teenagers or children can know about bitcoin

This right here is probably the best approach. Show them in practice - What it does, what it doesnt, etc. They can hear about the tech side and how it functions 'backstage' at a later stage.

Most people use computers/smartphones and have no idea how they really 'work' on a tech level.
313  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin on: July 25, 2017, 05:36:05 AM
Only one will make it through... The rest will probably be ignored and/or be irrelevant before the end of the year.

316  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin die soon? on: July 23, 2017, 05:45:12 AM
Bitcoin is not going anywhere, atleast not in the near future... We may see some other coins with bigger growth during the next years but probably not enough to overtake BTC as the 'main' coin in the crypto market.
317  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: Poloniex scam ? on: July 23, 2017, 05:35:53 AM
Qual exchange vcs recomendam no lugar da poloniex? Vi uma galera reclamando em vários foruns do costumer support deles, mas lá continua sendo a que tem mais volume disparado.
318  Local / Criptomoedas Alternativas / Re: ETH disparando nesse momento on: July 23, 2017, 05:26:56 AM

319  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Better investement right now, bitcoins or Altcoins. on: July 23, 2017, 05:20:00 AM
Are they any good sites that'll allow me to track the progress of each Altcoin? Also which wallets will let me purchase altcoins? Right now I have coinbase. I ordered ledger wallet but won't arrive for a few weeks. I'm new to this whole bitcoin deal. Thanks

coinmarketcap is a pretty good site for tracking progress of altcoins. There are hundreds of altcoins registered on the site, check it out later.
320  Local / Criptomoedas Alternativas / Re: criptos bizarras on: July 23, 2017, 04:56:46 AM
A tendência é surgir um tanto desse tipo de coin, acho...e no futuro uma pra cada 'nicho' acabar se tornado a mais usada (com valor pequeno)
