301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you optimistic about Ripple? on: March 08, 2018, 10:05:15 AM
yes I am optimistic on ripple. Until now when viewed from the development of ripple, pretty good. I think until the end of 2018 it is still good.

Still good based on what? It might be a working product but it is not the likes of btc or eth as there is no proof of work and it is not decentralized. Access to the network is not open. I would prefer to buy Ethereum or Neo any time of the day.

Kindly comment some good bounty manager so i can update my post

hope it will help

That is a very good idea, also for the bounty managers themselves. I cannot comment too much though. Only did Harvest, TheKey and Coinmetro so far. The experience from those campaigns so far has been positive. I do not expect coinmetro to turn into a negative experience as it is a very professional project.
303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest or bounty? on: March 07, 2018, 12:51:57 PM
investing requires capital and takes your cleverness, because investment has high risk and you can get big profit by investing. and if you follow bounty, you need hard work to be able to promote the project, and bounty does not need capital. because you can get it for free. I prefer bounty

Bounty used to be great. The new merit system puts existing high level accounts in a strong position and makes it more difficult for new members to proceed to member or higher level. Even though the intetion of the merit system is good it did not get properly communicated so most people do not see any incentive to give merit to someone else. I feel most members are still under the impression that they loose from their own merit if they send some to a different user.

This is mainly for the signature bounties. If you have for example a good twitter account or like to do translations this wont affect you much.
304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHAT IS GOING ON? Come back form holidays and everything red????it is over? on: March 07, 2018, 11:48:17 AM
All my coins are badly red! I know...Hold and blabla...but jeez...i was away just few days ;/

It is not April yet. Maybe it wont even take that long for the market to go up again. I am not sure how the bubbles in stocks and property and hm a possible rise of protectionism will effect blockchain, but I think for the time being you are invested in the right space.
305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: possibilities for crypto on: March 06, 2018, 01:30:58 PM
What do.think will happen to crypto currency year form now? Will it be legalized? Will be banned by some? Will it be controlled by the government?

The governments are not yet really interested. The market is still just far too small. There is some futures trading in BTC but that is about it. I think some of the established project will do well while some of the newer projects are looking for an awful lot of money and might disappoint their investors.

Still there is projects with the potential to perform like ETH or Neo did last year.
306  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How burn token affect token price on: March 06, 2018, 01:26:45 PM
How will burn token affect the price of token? Huh Huh Huh

Will the price become higher after burning token due to the reduce of supply?

As a general rule I would say yes to that. To show the same market cap and reduced number of coins has to have a higher price. The effect of a token burn might not always be instant as the trade volume and the actual use of the token also play a role. A coin/token with a pure currency function in its valuation is mainly relying on the perception on the market. There is tokens that have a value apart from that currency functionality like paying for specific products or items. Here a token burn should lead to a timely price reaction.

In general a token burn is a good thing. The rarer something is, the higher its price tends to be.
307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple Price Prediction ? on: March 06, 2018, 01:22:34 PM
No crypto-savvy eye missed Ripple’s remarkable journey in 2017.
Ripple (XRP) Prices Heading For $2 In 2018 ? Is it possible

I expect Ripple to fall back to 0.50 USD. No proof of work, not decentralised and no open access. Not comparable with things like Ethereum or Litecoin. Not sure if I would see them as a crypto currency at all but then there is no standard definition for that I think.
308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BCH Price Discussion on: March 06, 2018, 01:16:53 PM
Hey guys. Do you think BCH return $4000 again?

BCH is a lot more serious than I first anticipated. BTC is the original and there is a lot of vested interests in that. Still there is a number of miners now who switch between BTC and BCH based on what is more profitable to mine at that time. So it looks like BCH is also here to stay.
309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IOTA - Unpopular because it threatens blockchain. on: March 03, 2018, 05:47:12 PM
Hi All

I am a hod'ler of many altcoins, and i love the tech behind them, especially priacy coins like  Deeponion, Spectre and Zclassic (before the BTCP fork). However I have read up a lot on IOTA, and love the theory and potential tech behind it. Likewise, some big companies also seem sold on the IoT and IOTA. I also recognise the major FUD that surrounds the foundation, and sometimes unhelpful tweets or press statements from IOTA Foundation don't help. Is this really legitimate criticism OR just many fans of blockchain hoping that the Tangle will fail? I love all of the tech, and want to see it all do well and improve society generally. If this means I am fortunate enough to make some money off the coins/tokens I have then so be it, but Blockchain, IOTA the IoT and every other application could/would revolution society.

Thoughts?

I would not go as far as saying that Iota is unpopular. Quite the opposite actually. There is now projects like Oyster Pearl, that are clearly intending to use Iota for their own project and that way showing some of the Iota technology related possibilities in reality. Also I know a number of people that are super bullish on Iota. As I am mainly looking on low caps apart from Neo I did not watch too closely but I got the impression so far that there is a strong community behind Iota.
310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest or bounty? on: March 03, 2018, 05:37:57 PM
Hello!

How do you prefer to get crypto? Do you invest or you prefer to join bounty?

Also, check out bounty and token sale campaign of this project https://ico.kickcity.io/
Interesting to know your opinion  Smiley

most of the time I do bounties where I have also invested in the project. At least for coinmetro the case. I did harvest coin because I was interested to try masternode setup and the bounty almost got me enough and thekey because looked like soli project and was neo based.

312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: RIPPLE OR LITECOIN on: March 03, 2018, 05:31:32 PM

Both Ripple and Litecoin has been doing greatly in the market of late with litecoin even outperforming other digital currencies at some point.

between the two, which one would you invest in and why?

I would never invest in Ripple because not decentralised and no proof of work. I am happy that ltc is recovering, as I have work colleagues who are invested in it. I could imagine Litecoin to continue his recovery. Some stage last year the typical recommendation for starters was btc eth and ltc portfolio.
313  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BitConnect Lawsuit has Begun! on: March 03, 2018, 05:29:04 PM
Finally, some of the promoters/advertisers of BitConnect(ponzi schem) like Craig Grant and Trevon James have been brought to justice.

https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/81n8r4/bitconnect_lawsuit_has_begun_trevon_jamescraig/
Wouldn't surprise me if that clown Carlos Matos is next on the list Grin .

Here is the Class Action Lawsuit .
Mirror link

These individuals/corporations are getting sued:
Code:
BITCONNECT INTERNATIONAL PLC, a foreign corporation;
BITCONNECT LTD., a foreign corporation;
BITCONNECT TRADING LTD., a foreign corporation;
GLENN ARCARO, an individual;
TREVON BROWN a/k/a TREVON JAMES, an individual;
RYAN HILDRETH, an individual;
CRAIG GRANT, an individual;
JOHN DOE NO. 1 a/k/a CRYPTONICK, an individual;
and JOHN DOE NOS. 2-10, individuals;
Defendants.

what could be the point of a lawsuit here? People were investing fully aware that this was most likely a scam in the hope of making a timely exit. It was said that the whole interest was financed by a superior trading bot. That story in itself is weak if you look at the interest rates earned at bitconnect. Then the company registration does not even show a valid address and they did not have a phone number  Roll Eyes. There is a great video on youtube where someone is trying to do a background check on them.

If they are at it they could also ask Suppoman about shilling B3 where a lot of noobs lost their money. Hopefully they did not lose their interest in blockchain as it is the right space to watch.
314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / best projects with low market cap? on: March 01, 2018, 11:13:08 AM
So here it is. I got lucky with Oyster Pearl. I found it when the market cap was below one million. I has moved from low at 0.3 cent to currently 1.60 USD. Still see good potential there but that is not the point. I have been trying to find the next low cap gem since then.

not as super cheap as Oyster but currently on my radar:
Hacken (cybersec wit token burn)
Odyssey (close with Tron)
Pareto (intel with focus on crypto space)

also a few others that started trading recently in that bear market. I like token based on ERC 20 best and more than a pure currency function.

So feel free to hit me with suggestions! Thanks!
315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Recommended alt coins? on: March 01, 2018, 10:16:34 AM
can you guys recommend any alt coin for next month?
I am looking for the coin to invest my budget into, but I have no idea.
So, if you know any, pls recommend me.

potentially good low caps:

Hacken (Kucoin)
Odyssey (Kucoin)
Bridge Protocol (most likely on Kucoin first)
Sharder (idex)
316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is now a good time to invest in ICO? on: March 01, 2018, 10:15:13 AM
I've been searching for ICOs for a few days and there seems to be many cases of scams and hacks which kinda scares me. Obviously, there is no 100% certainty which is going to be a successful one but is there any way to identify which ones are at least going in the right direction? The first one I looked at was Mossland's Whitepaper and they seemed good with solid community. Or should I just buy BTC or ETH? Any suggestions and ideas would be very helpful!

I think it might be a good time to look for good presale opportunities. The next big bull market is just around the corner and if you have a good project, that has ideally already confirmed initial exchange listings, it might be worthwhile. That being said there is a number of interesting projects that recently had their ico and are trading around or below their ICO price. Do some research on CMC on the "recently added" tab
317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is MEW Safe to use now? on: March 01, 2018, 09:53:11 AM
Recently there was a split between the team behind MEW and a new paper wallet site opened up.  Is MEW still safe to use with a Ledger?

the ledger should always put you on the safe side. There was study about as so called man in the middle attack but for me the leger definitely safer than just using private key

318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin bleeding. When does it stop on: March 01, 2018, 09:43:42 AM
Bitcoin reached already Resistance at 11.6k and failed for now. Can we predict an Altcoin recovery as soon as bitcoin corrects to 10k ? oR do altcoins recover first if bitcoin is stabilized?

I actually do not know if i should hold btc or buying cheap alts or waiting till alts start to recover.

i would appreciate an experienced answer.

Bull market is imminent. Confirmed for me by the fact that Goldman Sachs has purchased Poloniex via one of their subsidiaries. As the stock market will most likely come back a good ways crypto is looking dirt cheap. I really can hear that bull already. Go for cheap ALTs especially low caps that you favor.
319  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Merit not for sale! on: February 26, 2018, 10:35:55 PM
I hope everybody would be fair about this new feature implemented by admin theymos.
This thread is for the purpose of awareness that merit is given to a constructive and quality post. I have made a thread here in the market place section, hoping that there will not be such things like buying and selling merits. Let's work with our own asses.

P.S.
OP  is not asking attention, read and understand.  Obedience is better than sacrifice.

I like the idea of the merit system but it is putting hero and legendary accounts in a strong position that they did not work for the same way as younger members. I am totally annoyed when I look at my current bounty campaign. Some hero/legendary jumping in late will get more stakes than me with only participating short time and I can clearly see when those accounts got purchased either by change in language or long gap in usage.

For the merit system to work I feel there has to be more clarity to members that they dont lose anything giving merit for posts they like. Also a small incentive would be good like for 5 merit you give someone you get 0.5 yourself or something in that style. If members are supposed to do quality control there has to be some reward.

Currently there is only an incentive to go to specific talks where potential merit donators hang out to get some from those. There is not point yet to add quality content. I put at least some effort in my posts and did not get single merit point so far so the merit system right now for me a pain in the ass as I was hoping to make it senior member at some stage and now I also have to worry about that merit thing.
