301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum At The End Of 2017 on: November 28, 2017, 06:33:25 PM
Ethereum could be around the $500 mark at the end of the year. Cashing on more ETH from my ICO investments.
302  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin end? on: November 27, 2017, 03:49:43 PM
I think the only way Bitcoin will end is when it loses its security feature against quantum computers.
A more secure coin will replace it or a fork will be made to secure it. As long as we do not get wiped out by catastrophic events. Bitcoin will endure.
303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is the price of bitcoin so high on: November 27, 2017, 03:44:46 PM
Increasing demand worldwide is fueling it. Bitcoin has become more of a safe storage of value as it always appreciate in value due to scarcity.
Same as other precious gems, its the market dictating that price, some are speculating, but as it become more accepted, value should increase.

With several banks also looking into investing to bitcoin, the favorable regulations from other countries. Should be a good chance to hit 10K mark before end of the year. Looking into a serious correction though, as I feel this pace of increase is not sustainable in the long run.
304  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin crash after 10K usd? on: November 27, 2017, 03:35:29 PM
In my opinion, it will be a healthy correction for BTC. Solidify gains before the end of the year.
With the talks of forking still on going, people should be still bullish until next year.
305  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin has defeated gold on: November 23, 2017, 08:17:07 AM
Bitcoin has defeated gold in value. Both have their own usage as storage of value when other financial means takes a downturn.

With the limited supply of bitcoin already known also, people will be sure there will be no other supply unlike gold wherein it is still unknown.

Overall, both have their uses. Gold though is hard to store and is somewhat not liquid (if amounts are high) compared to bitcoin.
306  Economy / Speculation / Re: One of Wall Street's biggest bears just doubled his bitcoin forecast to $11,500 on: November 23, 2017, 07:00:27 AM
Seems a good forecast. With the current environment and enthusiasm of people around Bitcoin.
My only concern is with the still on going talks on the segwit2x. My opinion is that Bitcoin have to improve somewhat to reduce the fees as it is serving as a barrier to mainstream adoption.
307  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin - New form of Budget for poor countries on: November 21, 2017, 08:06:36 PM
Hello guys, I often read news about poor countries and a new idea came to my mind.
Imagine countries which have budget not more than 10 billion (milliard). Usually these countries import products from other countries and use USD for this. So some of them has national currency and their exchange rate to USD often changes (sometimes on bad side). If their economy fails on some steps, it will affect a lot to people + they depend on nat currency/usd exchange rate. National bank has to sell some usd in order to lower exchange rate and make it a little bit stable but it isn't fix.
I want to say that if they officially invest in bitcoin (they had to do it some months ago).. Imagine price is 2000$, budget is in bitcoin and after some months it rised to 6000$, they get 3x budget.
But no one cares about that.. Bitcoin is a way for them to develope quickly in an ultra fast way.

Governments cannot invest on what they do not understand and there are a lot of politics involved. Doing it in a government scale will be hard (due to politics).
Cryptos is better for individuals.
308  Economy / Economics / Re: Alt coin price manipulation is much easier than with BTC on: November 21, 2017, 07:49:50 PM
With the top 10 alt coins not that easy, but for alt coins with 100MM and below market cap, that is what is always happening.
Until cryptos are fully regulated, this kind of behavior will not stop.
309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tether: not even a scam on: November 21, 2017, 07:45:23 PM
I have read a reddit thread that discusses the impact of the 31MM Tether hack.
Seems the tether hacked will be useless but it was expected to have some impact on BTC price.
Turns out, BTC still went up.

Problem is the issue turned up that if the hacked Tether is backed by USD reserves then those reserves should have been lost.
Some redditors are pointing it out that there has been no proof that all Tether are backed by reserves thus could be classified same as fiat money.
With the company, just creating Tethers out of thin air and buying cryptos with it.
310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good place to exchange Ethereum to Bitcoin? on: November 21, 2017, 07:39:51 PM
Exchanges - Bittrex, Bitfinex

I do use one that does not require sending ETH to exchanges. This minimizes fees to be paid.
Changelly - https://changelly.com/

Should help. Or use Shapeshift.io
311  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: UTrust Token PH Discussion on: November 20, 2017, 06:35:47 PM
Meron po ba dito nag invest sa utrust hehe, newbie lang po...nag invest po kasi ako ng 0.2ETH for this ICO...
btw platform pala nila is online payments parang paypal with less fees and buyer protection...tingin ko maganda ang layunin nila hehe makakatulong to lalo sa mga freelancers and sa mga buyers online para may security ang buyer and seller sa bawat isa...By the way nag mmining pala ko ng ethereum using gpu‘s naisipan ko lang gamitin yung hawak ko na eth 😁

Ano gingamit mo rig pang mine ng ETH? Kumikita ka ba?
312  Local / Pilipinas / Re: DZRHNEWS PINAS TOPIC:BITCOIN on: November 20, 2017, 06:33:43 PM

314  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: YOUR TRADING STRATEGY on: November 20, 2017, 06:17:01 PM
Depends, really.

For the fund I implemented a market neutral strategy we built.  It's entirely autonomous and dynamic utilizing a computer learning library.

I also make a few discretionary trades on the side for my friends for fun.  No AI, just what I used to do as an oil trader back in the day.  For that it's all order flow.   Tape never lies.

I don't like candlesticks, I don't look at MA's or oscillators, and I can never get two people who use fibs to agree on levels so I don't use those either.

Just orderflow.  Once you get used to it, that's all you'll need.

How do you do an orderflow strategy? I'm just new in this space of trading.
315  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why people are holding Bitcoin? on: November 20, 2017, 06:15:07 PM
It is the belief that it will go the moon in prices ($100K USD in prices in the next 5 years).
With Bitcoin nearing $10K, this may be possible. Still, my opinion on this is that Bitcoin is already overpriced and should be more stable in the next 3 years.
317  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-11-20]The Impact of Fork Coins on Bitcoin Ecology on: November 20, 2017, 06:05:41 PM
Think these hard forks are being used to maintain the momentum of hype for Bitcoin.
They should focus on improving the system and reducing fees.
318  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: how control my emotion?? on: November 20, 2017, 06:00:54 PM
I'm having same issues nowadays. It is hard for me not to track my portfolio for price changes.
Just relax and stick to the plan you had when you started.

I do have some issues controlling myself sometimes but it is better to be patient and let time tell which have been a good decision.
319  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is gambling so addicting? on: November 20, 2017, 05:58:51 PM
Winning money through gambling triggers chemicals to be produced in the brain hyping us up.
This can be addicting in the long run and could ruin your life.

Better be a casual bettor than an addict. Keep the winnings and move on.
