301  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where do exchanges get their Bitcoin? on: September 15, 2016, 07:49:07 AM
They make money off every buy/sell order you have. Also, most of them are restarts of exit scammers, so they have lots of starter cash out of thin air.

Also, the ads that most of them bomb your computer with helps too.

Go ahead, click on the link to that exchange below, I'm daring you to now

(Jokes)
302  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Edward Snowden makes "moral" case for presidential pardon on: September 15, 2016, 07:48:29 AM
By the way, his visa expires in the middle of 2017.

Wow, this is very big news.

By the way, Jill Stein has promised to pardon Edward Snowden and Manning.

(Even though presidential candidate promises mean jack shit)
303  Economy / Speculation / Re: I will not Die Untill Bitcoin will reach at Least 50K on: September 15, 2016, 07:43:27 AM
All I can say is, good luck. Bitcoin is pretty much stagnating at the $500-600 range. At most, it could be worth around $10k within a couple of decades from now

304  Other / Meta / This is probably the most amusing thing I've seen on Bitcointalk this year on: September 15, 2016, 07:38:49 AM
This guy posts a link to a paid URL shortener.

And in case you have been living in North Korea for the past couple of years, what that means is that it takes a link, shortens it, and seeks to redirect you to a longer link, but with an advertisement in the middle, the revenue of which goes to whoever used the service to shorten the link.

So, he links to a paid URL shortener on the forum with the subject, "Can I get some users to visit this link and tell me if it works"

That's actually a very good way to get lots of clicks. 10/10

305  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitfinex HACKED - funds stolen ! on: September 15, 2016, 07:31:12 AM
My guess is they probably just took off with the funds themselves, and then blamed it on a hacker. It's the best way to make money nowadays, since Walmart isn't hiring anymore
306  Other / Meta / Re: waiting for reply theymos and mod on: September 15, 2016, 07:28:30 AM
join bitcointalk 2 years here I earn a living for the family,I have 3 small children for their living expenses I work just here to earn money from bitcoin, are you happy to see all my children are starving, when I stopped off here,if I lied about my situation, you can look at my life and see house measuring 2x3 meters.

What did you do? I'm just curious, you don't have to answer if you don't want to. It's just my first time hearing about someone feeding three kids in housing measuring 2x3 meters (I'm assuming you meant kilometers, though) using Bitcointalk.
307  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: And 1 more hacked account? on: September 15, 2016, 07:23:48 AM
Doesn't have to be a hacked account, the account could have also voluntarily changed hands (ie account selling)
308  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Make some huge money on: September 15, 2016, 07:20:22 AM
Very generic format for a HYIP scam. Note the use of the word "we" when he does not specify who "we" refers to
309  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Filipino president Duterte to kick out Jewmerican forces on: September 15, 2016, 07:17:07 AM
You wouldn't have to blame everything on the Jews if it weren't for fascist right wingers ruining your country.
310  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Technically feasible to play chess using Bitcoin? on: September 15, 2016, 06:53:13 AM
Or you could go to lichess.org and host a game there, and do send me the link when you set it up, I kick ass at it
311  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin being used for illegal activities on: September 15, 2016, 06:47:11 AM
The problem isn't Bitcoin being used for illegal activities, it is the fact that common, harmless everyday activities are illegal.
312  Other / Off-topic / This whole swinging thing just isn't for me on: September 15, 2016, 06:45:13 AM
It only looks good in fantasy, but in reality, I just don't think I can ever handle it. It's very unfortunate, but it's the realization I've only just come across. I don't like changes
313  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: President Duterte Declared State of Lawlessness on: September 15, 2016, 06:42:51 AM
Martial law is never about your safety, it is always about the government trying to maintain its power, stay safe
314  Other / Meta / Re: The moderation here is fucking retarded on: September 15, 2016, 06:36:52 AM
So, is someone going to do something about it, or is that user just going to be allowed to continue shitting this place up ?
Usually the right way is just to report one of their posts with a proper description. You will have to wait for a global moderator or admin to notice this thread as they're the only ones who can 'do something about it'.

Yes, this is what you're supposed to do, or you can help him out by making another thread about it
315  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stop fuckin' around, fork the son-of-a-bitch already. on: September 15, 2016, 06:16:55 AM
Don't feed the troll. It's obvious, just look at his avatar, it's the angry "Bitcoin scam" guy. Find him by Googling "Bald guy mad about Bitcoin", that's how I found him
316  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Rare address hall of fame on: September 15, 2016, 02:41:11 AM
How do you determine the criteria for "pronounceable" addy though?

"1ANoNYMURccWEEGMoMTozTtjBj7CmtRZdb      (2014-01-24: longest pronounceable prefix - owner: Nikinger)"

I would say, vowels. Notice there are no vowels in "CCW" or "TtjBj7cmtrzdb"
317  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Rare address hall of fame on: September 14, 2016, 07:38:15 PM
The most remarkable addresses (*) found in the blockchain will be listed below.
1234mNnAPb8YnCsbacaNhB4BqwxB4U4321      (2016-04-27: 8-character palindrome address - owner: xhomerx10)
1ANoNYMURccWEEGMoMTozTtjBj7CmtRZdb
(2014-01-24: longest pronounceable prefix - owner: Nikinger)

Top one is not a palindrome, bottom one lacks enough vowels after "ANONYMUR"
318  Other / Off-topic / Re: Had the worst nightmare ever :( on: September 14, 2016, 07:31:59 PM
I've got a fun one too this night. Sitting in traffic stuck between two old cars, and then I realize both drivers are sitting with cut throats. Cars in front and in the back of them move along and then I see a f--ng cop coming up from behind .... What would that even mean? Sell BTC?

It means the second coming of DPR is near

I had a recent nightmare that Sonny was in the process of firing BFL back up. Oh, wait ... At 56 I sometimes confuse dreams with reality.

Damn, I am so sorry to hear about that mate. Hope you're recovering well from that scary ass nightmare.

Obviously, you missed the part of what I was alluding to was not a dream but for real. That fucker's in the process of fired BFL back up.

I didn't miss it, I was in on the sarcasm. Sorry, hard to perceive on the internet

How do I really know that you were on[to] the sarcasm oppose to you having a dream and we're all in it?

You can be sarcastic and still be in a dream, it's possible.

320  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think monero can get pumped soon? on: September 14, 2016, 07:15:44 PM
We will certainly see an increase because of DarkNet markets adapting it on a large scale, and Reddit claiming it to be more secure than the Bitcoin
