Nice firmware! The GHs on my 2 best Jupiters both increased before I've even looked at the advanced tab!

Up to 715 on one Smiley

I gotta say... upon reflection the update looks bad. The last person to use the "security concerns set us back" excuse was Yifu Guo.

Knew I'd heard the same thing on here before!! Hahah, poor old Yifu, i wonder if his concerns were due to 2 peaceful protestors camped outside.

I don't mean this to come across as sounding bad, and I am not trying to be offensive, but does Mark have an illness?
304  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 20, 2014, 09:12:21 AM
japanese police is investigating mtgox. thatīs why mk is talking strange stuff. they were forced to move out. japanese government will declare bitcoin illegal in japan. insiders know it, dump their coins for any price, since they know they get the dollars after investigation/dissolving of gox is over.

confirmed.

blah blah
Err, go fuck yourself?

Best regards
The Avenger

*Sigh!

Come on Avenger, I know it's late, but is that the best you can do? You've written some good material over the last few weeks, but this week the quality has really dropped, this especially is scraping the barrel.

Night Night

I too am growing anxious about the lack of updates, .......

If you want answers to questions, ..... then just email them, or even better pick up a telephone and call them. I've never had an issue speaking to anyone in their offices, I've always found all members of staff really helpful.

 Roll Eyes

Should have reiterated, anxious about the lack of updates regarding Neptune, all my other questions have been answered very satisfactorily, which I can't say the same about for other Bitcoin related companies.
307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: February 19, 2014, 11:29:43 PM
Orama peobably got waterboarded in koolaid after he spilled the beans on their "progress".  That was the last bit of honesty we'll ever see from them.
It was his field report that made KNC credible and started the chain of events that lead to them taking multi-million dollars of pre-orders.

If his "preliminary design stages" post was the start of the end for KNC, then it's only fitting he was the one (probably unwittingly) to start that particular chain of events too.

Karma is a bitch  Grin

Karma Now Coming

Avenger, I'm not disputing what you write about KnCminer, I'm neither pessimistic or optimistic about Bitcoin mining as a whole anymore, I would like some clarity before I make any decisions, however please can you do me a favour and give the personal attacks on O'rama a rest, it's pretty tiresome reading the personal attacks on him from you, and others.
He's in charge of communication, not the companies strategy and I'm very doubtful he has had any input into the direction the company is taking so I think it's unfair to put any blame on him.

Yes, I know he said that upgrade modules would be available, but I'm 100% certain that he is not to blame for them not being released and that at that point in time he was giving out information that was correct, so I think it is unfair to personally attack him.

He is not responsible for the data centre, nor "Plan B" either.

Further to this, people are really hypocritical when they curse his name in one sentence and then moan about no updates from him. If you were in his shoes would you want to come here and be bombarded with constant name calling, speculation and frankly mental conspiracy theories? I know I wouldn't!

I too am growing anxious about the lack of updates, not just from Kncminer but from various different companies, MtGox, Trezor, but I don't resort to name calling and trolling. When there is news I am sure we will be updated and O'rama will be back.

As for the conspiracy about the television piece, I think you're being ridiculous. Have you looked on their Twitter account lately? They've shared various news stories about their data centre and been pretty transparent.

Sorry if i sound really grumpy in here guys, but I don't like to see someone who's been really helpful before be publicly attacked for issues likely outside of his control and I'm sick of reading really retarded conspiracy theories that sound like they've been written by a child.

If you want answers to questions, aside from the obvious "When will the Neptune be shipping" then just email them, or even better pick up a telephone and call them. I've never had an issue speaking to anyone in their offices, I've always found all members of staff really helpful.

So another pretty boring week in bitcoin speculation world ? I just hope this Mt.Gox movie will just come to an end. It looks like a terrible comedy.

It's a remake of Free Willy, starring Mark in a black and white wet suit.

If they were going to pull through would they not realize that moving their office address in the middle of this fiasco is a horrible PR move?

I thought the same, regardless of what happens tomorrow. Just show's how poor the management/ communication etc is at Gox. Imagine the whole community pointing at you asking questions about your financials and you then putting out a press release to say you were moving address..

What a Wally!!

Well a quick search for Cerulean Tower shows its a swanky hotel in Tokyo which also has office space.

However, in the review section:

Quote
Bar is ok. For only 61%, the hot beverages were good. Only 55% were satisfied with the beverage prices.

Pricey frappacinos...could that be the reason for the move  Cheesy Cheesy

Cheesy Actually lol'd at that!!

Just when you thought MK couldn't possibly be more obtuse:

http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/1y8ot2/we_are_very_surprised_anyone_could_blame_mtgox/

This is Asperger syndrome level incompetence. Without believing, I fully understand the tinfoil hat crew's assumption that he's driving the price down on purpose.  Hell, even the Silk Road 2 guy said "I failed you". It's a sad sad day when you have to look to criminals for lessons on leadership. The buck stops at the top. It happened on your watch, Mark. Own it.

1.000 to sell (according to the latest news) and only 1.015 left..
wasn't aware that one can order negative amounts

Where are you getting the 1,015 number I can't find any info on the page about how many are left...

Thanks...
add 1020 units to your cart and see...

The sales will pick up once the market does, no one is buying hardware this week with all the doom and gloom!

I think he's enjoying pulling Little Mark all over the place right now. He's got that look about him. And that coffee seemed a suspicious colour.

This is where he lives, seems they've named a local bird after him

That petition has now had 400 signatures!  Shocked Looks like Mark's been removed from a few Christmas card lists!

With 400 signatures on a petition nothing will change , if there were 4000 maybe some will consider but for 400 of which a few for sure are fakes I don't see anything happening.

Nor do i, but when I originally signed there were about 5. In the space of 48 hours it's had another 395, show's how much Mark has upset people.

OK. I just logged into Gox to try out the withdrawal rumour (and move my massive stash Wink ) and I notice I received a login authorization email - that's never happened before.

This (perhaps) suggests that they have implemented some additional user features this week and that (perhaps) the news tomorrow will be positive.

Gox said they're would be an update on the 16th, they we're testing the withdrawal system internal first before going live, and there is now less than 3 hrs in the day left, Cheesy Hopefully they work down to the wire.

Press release says update on Monday, so the 17th

"Bitstamp is now processing withdrawals again.

I expect even Gox will be processing withdrawals soon.

Bitcoin protocol unchanged."

I can't help but think that when this non-issue is officially fixed - tomorrow? - it's going to fly.

Hope it recovers and everyone leaves Gox
