301  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: USB eruptors are terrible or have I been unlucky? on: August 18, 2013, 09:23:33 PM

and did you find a block ? the probability of finding a block with 330Mh/s is more like playing lottery
There are better odds to get your money back running the BE solo than there are on PPS/PPLNS.
302  Economy / Economics / Re: How can i buy a couple thousand worth of bitcoins? on: August 18, 2013, 08:53:58 PM
I've been using coinbase for excellent result for the past 3 months or so. Someone on the forum recommended it to me when I had asked the same question before.
I second this.
303  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL totally Stupid on: August 18, 2013, 08:52:40 PM
Unfortunately, a big part of the problem is that a lot of potential BFL customers never see this forum. They never read up on BFL's actual history and shenanigans.

Some potential customer might of just heard of Bitcoin for the first time yesterday. They then google around for a few minutes, see BFL ads somewhere as they have a strong online presence, and place an order, all expecting BFL's claims to be accurate, not a bunch of lies.

I was typing just this type of post, yea it is sorry i think they see some of those old articles from gizmodo or ars or whatever of a working jalapeno making 800 dollars worth of btc......in Jan.  And they think omg get rich quick.  I think they brain just doesn't finish the saying get rich quick scheme.

It is sad but common sense is becoming a rare trait.  Being the owner of a Bicycle shop and dealing in high end bikes but at the same time repairing junk from walmart and department stores its astonishing some of the things that come out of peoples mouths.  "Can you make my 100 dollar POS walmart bike work?...."No not really junk works like junk".

google "butterfly labs monarch". my hitler video is #3 or #4, as well as numerous other informative links.

I new the difficulty will go up but not that much. Anyway I do understand it just wanted to know if anyone had any similar experiences?
yes I have had similar experience but with 10 I would have to consider solo mining. It might be the only way to get lucky.

"A Jody is like 80 years old"  "...Ponzi scheme..."

Yeah, her last name is probably Made-Off(with OPM).

Nice Youtube my friend and I too feel sorry for you and all people that have been victimized by freaking scammer scum, Bitcoin scams or any scam.

You still have your sense of humor so you will soon recover from this set back.

And for scammer scum everywhere-Karma is a M'Fer.
I'm not invested in anything with BFL, just trying to look out for folks

310  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: US Immigration arrested me for holding an illegal currency on: August 18, 2013, 06:20:36 PM
Last week I visited the states as a part of my sales work (ancient roman antiquities) but was stopped and held aside by immigration.
I was asked if I am carrying any currencies undeclared and they took my laptop to find the bitcoinQt. They held me for 4 hours and eventually told me that because I lied on my declaration, I would be banned from entering the US in the future.
Then, they sent me back to Europe on the US Taxpayer's dollar.
I never knew merely holding bitcoin would make my life so difficult. I will avoid doing business in USA now and rather go to China or Canada.
 Viva la bitcoin!
If this is true, wow.

You must give them access to laptop for entry?
311  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL announces 28nm 600GH/S blade for $4680 on: August 18, 2013, 06:10:40 PM
at least there I can use paypal to get my money back in 45 days when it doesnt ship  Cheesy Cheesy
312  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: {BFL} Why The Monarch Might Just Work on: August 18, 2013, 06:01:18 PM
Sonny Vleisides is the BFL CEO and a convicted fraudster, having been involved in a lottery scam of 25 million dollars that was ran by his father.
BFL has not shipped any Singles and Little Singles orders from anywhere after July 2012.

Having said that, trusting BFL with your hard earned money is a very foolish decision to make.

You sir are a liar ==>

https://forums.butterflylabs.com/blogs/bfl_jody/291-friday-saturday-august-16-17-2013-shipping-update.html
within a range of 3 months, as they are still only shipipng at the Oct 1 2012 pay date.

You really want to nit pick that?
313  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL announces 28nm 600GH/S blade for $4680 on: August 18, 2013, 05:53:24 PM

I dont factor in my electricity because my computers run 24/7 anyway....

If your GPU were running full throttle all day, it would use far more power than not. Just sayin
314  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If BitInstant is down, what is the best way to get Bitcoin in USA? on: August 18, 2013, 05:46:45 PM
Coinbase.
I'd second this if you have four days to wait as a new customer.

So you aligning yourself with Hitler ?
Or, you saying you are in a same boat as Hitler?

I think that runt of a better person who was fed up would have worked better.
It's a meme. not aligning myself with anything but a good angry meme that fit the script.
317  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL announces 28nm 600GH/S blade for $4680 on: August 18, 2013, 05:39:43 PM
this thread is getting ugly.....  why does no one factor in a bitcoin price increase and only a difficulty increase on the charts....
It started ugly.

318  Other / Off-topic / Script for "Hitler Discovers Butterfly Labs Monarch", In case it goes away on: August 18, 2013, 05:26:00 PM
I spent a decent amount of time so I figured while I can, get the script here so it can be recreated or edited if needed.

Butterfly Labs has told us two more weeks.
We are waiting for rigs here, here and here, and the difficulty level has hit 50.8 million
There's an onslaught of hashing power being added and its only increasing.
Our hardware would be obsolete when we received it,  we're told nobody else is shipping product

Gather all the bitcoins and purchase as many 500GH rigs as we can

Mein Fuhrer...
Butterfly...

Butterfly Labs says we can give up our spot now, pay a slight fee,
and get a new Miner they just began developing

Anyone who has an ASIC from someone other than Butterfly Labs, Leave now.
HOW CAN THEY DO THIS TO CURRENT CUSTOMERS
WE HAVE BEEN WAITING IN QUEUE FOR 10 MONTHS
AND NOW THEY WANT TO CHARGE A FEE TO CHANGE OUR PREORDER
AND THEY ONLY TAKE BITCOINS?
FOR ALMOST A YEAR I HAVE WAITED
OUR BLOCK ERUPTERS ONLY MAKE .003 BTC PER DAY
WHAT THE FUCK ARE THEY THINKING?! THAT I'M A FUCKING IDIOT?

They need more funds to keep production of our current orders running
TO GET CHIPS MADE ITS NOT HOW MUCH YOU HAVE BUT WHO YOU KNOW

Josh Zerlan knows alot of people who can....

FUCK JOSH ZERLAN AND THE COCK HE RODE IN ON
"NOBODY CARES ABOUT YOU" HE SAYS
HOW COULD I TRUST A MAN WHO SAYS WE CANT GET REFUNDS TO ORDER BLADES FROM FRIECAT
BECAUSE THE MONEY IS ALREADY SPENT
AND THEN OFFER TO GIVE UP OUR PLACE IN LINE FOR A FUCKING FEE
SO I CAN WAIT ANOTHER YEAR FOR A PRODUCT THEY WILL PROMISE IN TWO WEEKS
WHERE ARE MY JALAPENOS?! DELAYS! IM FUCKING SICK OF ALL THE STALLING!
Butterfly Labs must think im an idiot. A real fucking idiot.
What has happened to all the profits BFL surely made from their FPGA and ASIC products?
I can't tell which scam is worse, BFL or MtGox...
Inaba's crazy antics couldn't get people to cancel. So they must use a bigger, badder carrot on a stick.
And Sonny's probation ends soon
How are we to even trust the one year warranty? Avalon, and now Knc
and HashFast are all using huge boxes for their chips
in order to cram in enough cooling power
HashFast is using water cooling to remove heat from it's single 350W chip, and they have a full sized PC case for just one chip!
All you have to do is read Josh's comments to get an idea of how little they give a shit about shipping late.

We will call the FTC, maybe they will return our Bitcoins

What am I going to do now
I should have never trusted Inaba, such a douche bag
And Jody, she's like 80 years old
It has Ponzi Scheme written all over it
Tape out for their "old" ASICS was supposed to be September 2012, with October 2012 delivery.
It's August 2013 now and people that ordered a Single SC late June 2012 are still waiting.
Why would anyone trust BFL ever again?
319  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL Announces 600GH/s 28nm PCIe Mining Card on: August 18, 2013, 05:21:01 PM
Forget about all the tech mumbo jumbo it all boils down to a very simple statement.  By now most ASIC manufactures can self fund since they collected plenty of money over and above their costs on these 1st batches.  Also they have plenty of information regarding hash rates, possible sales price points, wholesaler demands, consumer demands and prices they are willing to pay in relation to all the other factors, etc...  So the only reason to do pre-orders now is because they think what they are getting now will be a lot more then what they possible can get if they simply built it and sold it as it is coming in.  And that's the nice business version.  The nasty version is we collect pre-order money build it and if it is worth more then what we collected we will sell a bunch out the back door or give out to friends and relatives first before starting to ship.  I would love to hear a different argument.

See the little YouTube video I put together. Its in my signature

Was that you?

Yeah I put it together. I sought input from the community (see old posts)

I choked on my tea earlier. It was very well scripted. It appeared to convey a lot of deep rooted feeling by yourself.
I'm actually not invested in BFL but I do have the block erupter making .003 BTC/day =)

But clearly there needed to be another medium of the PSA, it really bothers me to see Butterfly Labs involved with bitcoin in such a negative way.
