Even though Afghanistan won the ODI series and Rashid Khan was back on the team, they were unable to win against Ireland on the first T20.
Batting first, Ireland set a medium target of 150 for Afghanistan to follow. The Irish batsmen didn't made a good impact except for a not out 56 by Harry Tector and a good opening partnership between Andy Balbirnie and Paul Sterling. Afghanistan batting second was expected to reach the target but their batting lineup collapse started from the very first ball and even though Mohammad Ishaq and Mohammad Nabi tried to control the game, Ben White's bowling got them off guard.

I wouldn't say Inter Milan performance was very poor because they did everything they need to do to get to that round they got knocked out, just that over confidence made them slip off the competition and you'd agree with me that Inter Milan was better than Atletico Madrid but the Italian side let their guard down. I would have loved to see Inter qualify to the next round than Napoli because Nap are really having a bad season and they're never going to sit up till the end of this very campaign.
In my opinion, Atletico were definitely no worse than Inter, and at the end of match they looked even better and had a very good chance of ending this match with another goal. Inter had a very good season in Serie A, but apparently they were not ready to move further into the Champions League playoffs. If the batsmen could have done well, the match would have been very competitive. Captain Babar Azam scored the highest runs for Peshawar Zalmi. But he batted very slowly. He batted only at 109 strike rate in such an important match. Peshawar Zalmi provided big targets in the last two matches against Multan Sultans. Even then they won by only 4 and 5 runs. And in today's match when Peshawar Zalmi was giving a target of 147 runs, I was sure that Multan Sultans team is going to win the match. We haven't seen a better performance from Captain Mohammad Rizwan, but Yasir Khan and Usman Khan have batted well in this match. Opener Yasir was unbeaten with 54 runs off 37 balls and Usman 36 runs. However, Peshawar Zalmi still have a chance to qualify for the finals. The Eliminator 2 match will be held tomorrow. I think we will see Multan Sultans and Peshawar Zalmi match again in the final. |

Bournemouth vs Luton Town two teams have entered the field to play Premier League. So far Luton Town team has scored 3 goals. Luton town didn't Play this game like a weak team many people know in the premier league competition but they started using Bournemouth players through out the 45 minutes to show some signs of winning the game to achieve victory at the end. If Luton town players can secured all those goals in the 45 minutes without allowed their Bournemouth players to score 1 goal for people to know that they will equalize the goals in the second half but as it stand now, Luton town is still leading the game with 0:3 for the favour of Luton town. This was a completely unexpected result. At the end of the first half I don't think Luton Town will lose this match. I would say Luton Town performed like fools in the second half. At the end of the first half, perhaps the Luton Town players thought they would win the match easily.  Luton Town got a 3-0 lead at the end of the first half. In the first half we just saw the dominance of Luton Town players. However, in the second half, Bournemouth players changed the entire scenario of the match. Although they did not play well in the first half, Bournemouth players played completely attacking from the beginning of the second half. They scored the first goal in the 50th minute. They tied the match 3-3 in 64 minutes. And Bournemouth won the match 4-3 with Antoine Semenyo's goal in the 83rd minute. If Luton Town's match strategy was good, they could have won this match. Luton Town should have been tactical after leading 3-0. |

Two very important T20 matches are going to start in the next few minutes. In the first match, Multan Sultans will take on Peshawar Zalmi in the Pakistan Super League. The match will take place at the National Stadium in Karachi. Second match is between United Arab Emirates and Scotland, to take place at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. PSL qualifier is perhaps the more important one out of these two. The match is going to be even-sided. I don't have much faith on the UAE and Scotland is likely to win the match easily.
In the PSL qualifier, Peshawar Zalmi won the toss and chose to bat first. Both the teams are very well balanced. I think Peshawar's bowling is weak and they should compensate for this by making an extra 20 or 30 runs. If Multan gets the wicket of Babar and Saim early in the inning, things will get difficult for Peshawar because the middle order of Zalmi is not performing up to their potential. If Peshawar gets to a total of 180 or above, they have a chance to win the match comfortably. If Peshawar gets the wickets of Usman Khan and Johnson Charles early, Multan won't be able to chase down the target because of qualifier pressure. Multan Sultans team has lost only 3 matches this season, but interestingly, they lost both of those matches against Peshawar Zalmi. Zalmi won the first match by 5 runs and Zalmi won the second match by just 4 runs. And in today's match also Zalmi won the toss and decided to bat. As Zalmi won by batting first in the last two matches against Multan Sultans.  But Peshawar Zalmi couldn't start well today, Peshawar Zalmi lost the wicket of Saim Ayub in the first over. Ayub returned to the dressing room after collecting only 1 run. After 3 overs Peshawar Zalmi collected 24 runs. Babar Azam and Mohammad Haris are batting now. Both are experienced batsmen of Pakistan national team. I guess Peshawar Zalmi team will give more than 180 target today. |

Roma will change the coach again? They sacked Mourinho and hired De Rossi. And so far De Rossi has been successful with Roma. So De Rossi will stop as Roma coach next season, it is more likely.
But Napoli coach Calzona is likely to lose his job. Napoli's performance is very poor. The team has been eliminated from the Champions League platform. The team is seventh in the points table in Serie A. They are in very bad form.
But after seeing how De Rossi was able to make Roma improve quite rapidly, Roma even rose to 5th place in the Serie A standings. With these results, I think De Rossi deserves a longer contract at the AS Roma Club. Maybe the current temporary contract is just to get to the end of the season. But I'm sure there will be a contract renewal at the end of the season. Although that's just my speculation. But I think it would make sense to keep a coach who can replace Mourinho well. Mourinho was my favorite coach though. I was disappointed that Roma management sacked him. Even so, I'd say Roma are performing pretty well now with De Rossi. Roma have played 11 matches since de Rossi took over as coach, losing only against Inter Milan. Roma's performance is quite stable now. Roma should renew De Rossi's contract. Although De Rossi is not experienced enough, he is talented. With enough support from the management, he seems to be able to strengthen the Roma team. But regarding the current Napoli coach, perhaps his fate will depend on how Napoli performs in the remaining matches this season. If the results get worse then of course there is no future for Napoli's new coach to continue staying at Napoli. Although I personally understand that Napoli is still bad even though they have changed coaching. Because after all, new coaches must be given more time to adapt.
Napoli's performance is quite weak now. They have been eliminated from the Champions League. And the team's performance in Serie A has been erratic. In the last 5 matches, Napoli won only 2 matches and drew 3 matches. This team won the previous season's title. Despite the squad being unchanged, their performance has deteriorated. So I think Napoli will sack their coach Francesco Calzona next season. They need a more experienced coach if they want to win the Serie A title again. |

I considered Inter Milan as favourites. But Inter Milan probably wanted to draw the match. This is why Inter Milan played defensive tactics. Had Depay not scored in the 87th minute, Inter Milan would have qualified for the next round.
What I was afraid of apparently happened and Intermilan had to suffer the same fate as porto and Lazio this season just because they were not able to maintain the lead of 1 goal in second leg., even Intermilan who were able to dominate in the match were actually able to expand the aggregate to 2-0 after Dimarco was able to score, but not Intermilan his name if they did not immediately play it safe after leading 2-0 and finally goals from Griezman and Depay Managed to make Intermilan continued the match to the penalty round and made Intermilan have to go home early this season. There is no doubt that Atletico Madrid performed well in this match. Atlético Madrid won by dominating the home match. Atletico Madrid's overall gameplay was very composed. Atletico Madrid players were confident despite the away defeat. Griezmann performed very well in this match. At the same time I would say that Atlético Madrid were very lucky. Otherwise, they could not have won this match. Inter Milan goalkeeper Sommer is quite experienced. However, Atletico Madrid scored in three of the four penalties. Interestingly, talented players like Martinez, Sanchez and Bon Klaassen could not score in the penalty shootout. I think actually Intermilan could have won the game if they hadn't defended too much after the goal was Scored, and the passive play done by Intermilan was actually able to be used well by Atletico, especially when Depay Managed to score the second goal and make the Intermilan players mentally down.
I Personally from the begining of the game also favored Intermilan to win because of their performance in the league was very good, Besides that after Lazio and napoli were eliminated from the champions league I hoped Inter milan could be the only team that could represent Italy in thechampions League, but it Turned out that they fate was no Better than from Napoli and Lazio.
I agree with you that Inter Milam could have won the match if they did not play defensive tactics in this match. Inter Milan is a strong team. They lost this match due to tactical weakness. If Inter Milan played attacking strategy, they had the ability to win against Atletico Madrid. Atletico Madrid's defense is not very strong. But Inter Milan played a defensive strategy in this match and wanted to draw the match. Had Depay not scored in the 87th minute, the match would have been a draw. |
