301  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is GAMBLING? on: May 31, 2016, 11:28:28 PM
gambling is an oppurtunity that involves risk. it can earn you big and take everything away from you. for some people gambling is a hobby and something they do for fun (like me). i dont lose too much in gambling and i also win a little sometimes  Tongue
302  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price Raise and time to buy ? on: May 31, 2016, 11:23:44 PM
The price has increased hugely over the last week, im regretting not buying some now....

Do you think the price will continue to go up ? shall i buy another coin and keep it though the halving to sell after?
if i were you, i would wait another week or so. im certain the price is going to go back down soon. if you buy now and the price drops youre gonna feel much worse than if u didnt.
303  Economy / Speculation / Re: is it time to sell? on: May 31, 2016, 11:22:38 PM
this post is pretty old lol, so answering the question 3 years later doesnt seem like a good idea, but i think it is time to sell, because bitcoin has been hovering around 530 for the past few days. 530 is probably the peak price before we see the value drop back down again.
304  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you were rich, would you still gamble? on: May 31, 2016, 11:19:06 PM
Yeah if I would be rich I would gamble more, as being rich you keep on finding different ways of entertainment, and gambling is one of them.

I think rich people are not worried about the outcome from gambling even they win or loose its total fun for them rather then reacting too much.
i totally agree, if i was rich i woudnlt be gambling in hopes of making money or winning. i would do it only for fun. but maybe if im that rich i dont care for money, so the reward from gambling wont be appealing to me anymore so i wouldnt waste time gambling.  Shocked eh wont know for sure until im rich.
305  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is GAMBLING? on: May 31, 2016, 11:15:59 PM
I want ask mostly people are saying in Gambling we loss everything, but they are still playing gambling.
WHY?
Then people saying that it is Game and fun so we are playing.
I want ask you, Is it Game so you are playing, otherwise what is Gambling?
1. GAME
2. INVESTMENT
3. BUSINESS
depends on the type of gamble that you do. some people gamble for fun by playing games like poker or even gamble only only or twice to see if they win. but anyone who gambles long term in hopes of making money is in a bad situation. i only gamble maybe once a week so even if i lose its not a big deal but if i win it feels pretty great.
306  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Do you want me to send you $500 worth of bitcoin today? on: May 31, 2016, 11:12:18 PM
Are you above the age of 18?

Based in the US or EU?

Do you want $500 worth of bitcoin?

Then send me a pm before the end of today.

After 24 hours, this offer will expire
Dang if you had enough money to send everyone 500bucks for no reason. you wouldn't be here wasting our time.
307  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Hacking on: May 31, 2016, 11:10:19 PM
this question pops up way too commonly lol Tongue. your btc balance is linked to your private key. and there are a finite number of keys so yes your balance can be hacked. but the probability is just so so small that you shouldnt worry about it.
308  Economy / Economics / Re: I'm not gonna sell any coin. on: May 31, 2016, 10:39:08 PM
Maybe, now most of bitcoin owners do not tend to sell their coins and many of them are expecting another increase about halving.
everyone holding their coins also is pretty bad for the bitcoin currency. the main point of a currency is to be exchanged and used and if everyone uses it as a store of value bitcoin isnt going to get any better.
309  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can I earn money in this forum? on: May 31, 2016, 10:37:28 PM
Hi everyone. I'm a newbie here. I was just curious how my friend gets income in this forum. I wanted to ask how can I earn money here? thank you Smiley
you can try and sell goods/services on this forum too. just find something you do well that other people would pay for and just market that. if you decide to sell goods/items here, make sure you gain some trust or some people might be eager to give u negative trust.
310  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What percentage of assets should be in Bitcoin? on: May 31, 2016, 10:35:08 PM
a really low amount tbh, i cant risk putting more than 20% of my wealth into bitcoin. bitcoin is a fun hobby and all, but it is pretty risky. you can lose a ton of money in a matter of hours because of the price volatility.
311  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people keep saying BTC is dead?! on: May 31, 2016, 10:32:31 PM
people are going to keep saying bitcoin is dead every time the price drops a few bucks. they want to start rumors so that if people think that bitcoin is dead, they're gonna start dumping their coins and cause a massive drop in the price.
this is when the people saying btc is dead swoop in start buying btc at the low price.
312  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: transaction speed of Bitcoin as users increase on: May 31, 2016, 10:25:50 PM
I am sure this must have been asked many times but please help me understand. what will happen if one billion people were to use Bitcoin as their currency of choice, will the infrastructure be able to handle the traffic and will the transaction speed become extremely slow?

basically every block mined processes transactions, and right now the block size can only support a certain number of transactions. this number is already being debated for being too small. so if one billion people users started using bitcoin theres no way the current size could support that many transactions.
313  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: rarity of Bitcoin a bad thing? on: May 31, 2016, 10:23:42 PM
the limited amount of bitcoins is a good thing for the long term in my opinion. a long time from now where the bitcoin being mined is extremely small. the rarity of bitcoins is what is going to cause the price of bitcoin to be really high.
Buying bitcoin at 1100 may feel like a waste right now, but i think in around 50 years that would sound like a great deal.
314  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Theymos: “Bitcoins Belonging to Satoshi Should Be Destroyed” on: May 31, 2016, 10:21:33 PM
i feel like the coins are already destroyed. its not satoshi is gonna show up any time soon. for all we know hes already dead. really though he hasnt shown himself in the last couple of years. he couldve said something anonymously.
315  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: £9m Bitcoin Haul on: May 31, 2016, 08:48:15 PM
i dont see anything wrong with it. the person was doing illegal stuff so his wealth got confiscated. its not like bitcoin is a swiss bank or anything. personally i wouldnt want them to go back into circulation because that would drive the price down.
316  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Amazon.com still resisting the use of BTC for payment? on: May 31, 2016, 08:46:06 PM
mainly because people would try and take advantage of the bitcoin price volatility and get products for cheaper. people would buy tons of stuff when the price is max. and amazon would be stuck with a low amount of btc.
317  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you like to hoard your BTC or spend it? on: May 31, 2016, 01:24:16 AM
Used to have a slight gambling problem with bitcoin; now I have the exact opposite problem. I love just hoarding my bitcoin transferring all the tips I made in a 12 hour shift into bitcoin is actually REALLY satisfying. Do you guys like to hoard your BTC or spend them?
i take about a quarter of my work earnings and put them into bitcoin, and i usually hoard this amount of bitcoin. but since the prices have been so high recently i havent been changing my work money to bitcoin cuz i feel like the price will drop soon enough.
318  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Amount in wallet too small? on: May 30, 2016, 10:48:02 PM
Ive got a paper wallet that I thought I had taken all the funds off. Turns out I missed a bit somehow, must have been messing with the miner fee. Anyhow this paper wallet has the equivalent of .04 euros on it. Which I cant seem to get from it. Im supposing the miner fee (even if I use economy fee) must be more than the amount on the wallet.

Now I am not fussed about .04 euro. However If I now destroy this wallet then im burning some bitcoin which doesnt seem right to me. I thought about transferring some more money to the wallet and then scanning it again to get it all off but my question is:

How do I get all the money from this wallet? After all I thought bitcoin was supposed to be ideal for micro payments? In 50 years time the .04 might be 40 0r even 40000 euro (if the euro is still being used then!).

TIA
i wouldn't worry about it too much. that happens to me all the way. the amount left in there in pretty much worthless compared to your overall net btc. dont waste hours trying to save a couple cents.
319  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you trust to bitcoin casinos? on: May 30, 2016, 10:45:09 PM
Do you really trust online bitcoin casinos you play at?

I think all lost in casino, except the owner.
i trust most of the casinos i play at. theres no reason for them to be distrustful, they make tons of money already. betcoin.ag is a very good casino you should check out.
320  Economy / Speculation / Re: Step Back. Zoom out. Buy Bitcoin. on: May 30, 2016, 10:42:05 PM
you havent shown the complete graph  Tongue , bitcoin has dropped since the last 2 years. it used to be around $1000 each and its $500 right now.
