301  Economy / Speculation / Re: who is dumping 2.5k bitcoins now? on: May 29, 2014, 05:37:26 AM
Split 2.5k over 48 hours and I'm sure you'll do much better.

Different trading styles, then. I often don't know 48 hours in advance if I want to buy or sell.

I don't day-trade at all. 48 hours is way too short a trading time for me. 48 hours to liquidate 2.5k BTC if you need to diversify would be the absolute minimum for me (I don't have anything near 2.5k BTC though).

The better way would be dumping around 200 btc on each pump peak, but dont forget that sell could have been made via leverage on some trading platforn, i mean if someone closed his order and took profit, then he doesnt care about what happens on the exchange.
302  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: GROUP ACTION: CRYPTSY EXHANGE NEGLIGENCE - TAKE ACTION on: May 28, 2014, 08:38:01 PM
I think these problems just went out of their hands temporarily, the fault is over the users that keept using that exchange to pump and dump shitty coins once they already knew some issues referring withdrawals.
303  Economy / Economics / Re: I think I found the perfect way to schedule a massive pump on: May 28, 2014, 08:28:39 PM
Ok hear me out. If a whale wants to announce a pump anonymously, he can make a long expensive post on http://bitcoinmegaphone.com announcing the date and time.

If the post is long enough (ie, expensive enough) people will know he's actually a whale and is serious. Then the post's permalink will get spread around the internet, helping to ensure the pump has a good chance of happening.

Thoughts?

Someone can spend 1 bitcoin writing an "expensive" message to let the fools buy into his "pump", they will pump bitcoin just to let the whale dump his coins at the peak over the first ones.

305  Economy / Economics / Re: OverStock Reported $1.6 Millions in Bitcoin Sales - WOW on: May 28, 2014, 08:16:58 PM
Yes, if they pass some of the processing fee savings on to the consumer sales will go up even more. People would start buying BTC just to use for shopping.

Yes this would be a huge plus.
Anyway this company is doing a great job with bitcoin, and it will be first on my list when regards about spending my bitcoins, they have alot of cool stuff, hehe Cheesy
306  Economy / Economics / Re: Supply of Bitcoin - Miners, Investors, Merchants - Who Sells the Most? on: May 28, 2014, 08:13:31 PM
Miners are not the big sellers, beside of what you said that they are bullish, most of them currently would make LOSES if they sell now, i think they only sell a little part to cover the basic expenses, when they usually sell is at the peak of rallys when they can make a decent roi from their investments.
307  Other / Off-topic / Re: I feel like bitcoin is a losing battle on: May 28, 2014, 12:57:24 AM
How can I buy coin without any money.

That's the problem, I don't have anything to invest here. I can't sell my laptop, or any other cheap trinket because it won't net me any amount of BTC that I can put away and use for the future. The laptop I'm using isn't worth enough to sell on craigslist!

Anyways, maybe I should just close this thread, or maybe a mod can? I'm tired of seeing it honestly, I respect all of your opinions but I guess I'd have to go into detail of what has happened over the past several years and how I've ended up the way I am right now.

Thanks for the advice though.

looks like you have an ad signature thing going on. why not post a little more on the forums? if you spend enough time, you can potentially earn .5 BTC in a month. all for posting.

Yes there are always ways to get some bitcoins, and the ways you can get them online are more easy than earning fiat. fiat online earning sites are most of them scams.
308  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will the btc cross 600?? on: May 28, 2014, 12:48:33 AM
curious how a tiny 10,000 btc volume can tell the price of the rest 12+ millions  Cheesy

I wonder what would be the volume of localbitcoins.. and other offline or local methods of trading.
309  Economy / Speculation / Re: I'm All In - Sold My House! on: May 28, 2014, 12:46:09 AM
Some are making fun of this guy or saying was a waste of an investment but what would you say if bitcoin reaches 10,000 and this man becomes millionaire  Cheesy.
i think some willl be begging
310  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Bitcoin will not go past $1000 on: May 27, 2014, 11:46:46 PM
The Winklevoss twins did some calculations and said that Bitcoin is supposed to be in the ten thousands range.
Here, this article on CNBC talks about the Winklevoss twins stating that the price is supposed to be atleast 100 times what it is now.

http://www.cnbc.com/id/101190181

Many people will want to own at least 1 whole BTC.
The extremely low supply will be a huge factor as demand rises. Once Bitcoin is above $2,000 (for example) it might never again "go past $1,000" on any correction.  Smiley

Yes, one btc will be like "hey dude, he owns an ENTIRELY BTC!" , imagine if the 8 decimals bitcoin has become useful, lets say 1 satoshi = 1 cent, each bitcoin will worth 100,000 .
311  Other / Off-topic / Re: I feel like bitcoin is a losing battle on: May 27, 2014, 11:43:30 PM
No I never lost any coin, at the time when they were dirt cheap I didn't have any money then, and that's when cpu mining was becoming a thing of the past. I had a little netbook that could only pound out like maybe 10mh/s at most and I'd never heard of altcoins yet.

Trying to keep my head on while I'm going through all of this strife is really hard to do, especially when I need this money now to help the people I love the most.

But how can you dint had even 50 bucks?, maybe you dint imagine what it could be, my advice is that as bitcoin is only at the begin of a huge movement, buy some coins now, if not you would regret more in the future
312  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Which exchange is the best, at this time? on: May 27, 2014, 11:35:59 PM
First i had to chose is mintpal, second crypsy, and third mcxnow (but with this try to not buy their shares /assets than he pulls very often)
313  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Winklevoss Bitcoin ETF Needs Ticker on: May 27, 2014, 11:32:36 PM
Either WANK or FAP could be really clever.  After all bitcoin is one big circle jerk.

I laughed harder than I should have at this...

I think something BTC related should be in the ticker though. If it's something about those losers, then I'll just be annoyed by the whole thing. They didn't really do anything special but make a readily available currency a little more readily available to investors... They didn't have anything to do with the currency itself.

They are massively promoting bitcoin doing that, also they will buy 1 bitcoin for every 4 shares purchased on that fund.
314  Economy / Economics / Re: Surely the Government has the right to tax fiat? on: May 27, 2014, 11:30:44 PM
Since fiat is a product developed by the Government, doesn't it have the right to tax it?

For example, if Satoshi Nakamoto or Sunny King or any other developer created a new cryptocurrency called "Taxcoin" and put a tax into the protocol, then obviously by choosing to use that alt-coin, you are accepting the tax that's built into the system.

I think there have been coins like this. Freicoin had 80 percent of the mining profits redirected to the developers for donation to charitable causes. Devcoin also has 90 percent of the mining profits go into open source projects and 10 percent to miners.

Government is taxing citizens not the money, if satoshi had put a tax on bitcoin we surely had not addopted it, but governments try to tax every source of "income" an in any kind of money, even bitcoin.
315  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Is it still accesible to the common of mortal or too much expensive? on: May 27, 2014, 10:27:05 PM
What i better recommend you is to just buy some btcs with cash rather than triying to mine them, at this point it can be very difficult to mine for the mortals.. hehe.
Just buy some bitcoins and hold them until 2015.  Wink
316  Economy / Speculation / Re: The rise has stopped.. on: May 27, 2014, 10:24:05 PM
Nice try DanV.

Back to 582 on Stamp now.
So are you still sticking by your prediction?

I am not DanV. I like DanV but really think that he was trying to force a square into a round hole with his last BTC analysis. Overly complex, clutching at straws, and just not like his usual self.

This is the manner of potential chart progression that I suspect is going to be most likely at this point in time:

I believe that we have started on a Primary B Wave of a Cycle Wave 4 correction. I am anticipating Bitcoin to get up to around $700 - $800 range which would be somewhere around a 50% retracement from the low at $340. So for the time being, I am a bull, but still believe we are in the midst of a cyclical corrective wave.

Of course, The recent $340 - $548 - $430 - $595 could also possibly represent an intermediate ABC correction within a Primary Wave B of a cyclical Wave 4:

But I just am not feeling this possible outcome at the moment.

I think the first chart looks like a more probably choice, bitcoin wont go back to less than 500 again, unless if there are some really bad news outhere.
317  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why the US dollar collapse is assured on: May 27, 2014, 10:21:17 PM
If the us dollar collapses the rest of the world will feel some pain in the short run, but that's only because other countries hold US debt and US investments.
In the long run, the rest of the world will see their purchasing power go up. The US is the caboose of the world economy. All we do is consume to live beyond our means
318  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 27, 2014, 09:28:28 PM
Does chang noi still post here? I just got back from Thailand, and if any country needs Bitcoin, its Thailand.

Bhatcoin?

i remember hearing last year that the Thai government, or maybe it was the central bank came out against bitcoin? was there any real legislation or regulation? maybe i am remembering wrong.

My understanding was that Thailand was hostile to bitcoin last year; however, within the last few weeks, they have given the green light to bitcoin exchanges.  Of course, currently there is a lot of governmental turmoil in Thailand - yet the current status seems to be a green light for BTC in Thailand.

It looks like india is on the same way, it would be fabulous to these countries to let bitcoin help their not very good economies.
319  Economy / Securities / Re: Crypto Bank (Earn interest on your coins) on: May 27, 2014, 09:24:59 PM
Why would i put my coins in your "bank", where are you located? banks are located on psychical addresses.
Better to keep my coins on coldwallet gaining cero interest but having 10x money at the end of the year due to a bitcoin rise.
320  Economy / Speculation / Re: thinking about buying 5k in bitcoin on: May 27, 2014, 09:04:32 PM
Buy now, after the next bull run we will never see below $1k anymore.

I think the OP is too late now. He will be fighting for 2100 satoshi 2 years from now Grin

In fact i think $600-$800 its like the $80 on 2013, some people were thinking it was on "price" while it was extremely cheap.

And yes, OP will probably will start buying when 1000 satoshis = 1 usd.
